Fantastic experience: Best money I’ve spent since being on the island. The staff here feels like friends and family. I’ve been coming here almost daily for the last 3 plus months and haven’t had a bad experience yet and I’m a very picky guy. The place is always clean and equipment in working order. They also keep the salt water pool heated year round. Really looking forward to my first summer here!

Negative experience: Extremely poorly managed. And continuing to charge my card after cancelling months ago. Management did not even try to fix the issue, really sad to be honest. They hire young kids and give them little to no training and then when I advised that I had not been informed by one of the young desk staff of the cancellation policy when I cancelled my policy, the manager said “that’s very easy to say, all my staff say this 100 percent of the time” Yes, I’m sure, just like they “always charge for towels” (we were charged maybe 20 percent of the time) Great pool AWFUL manager. Good thing she’s never there so you don’t have to deal with her on the regular. Even the staff complain about this woman Just a joke. UPDATE! they are now threatening to send me to collections for their negligence. LOL, good thing they actual have no legal authority to report to my credit bureau. Empty threats

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of BMAC for quite some time now, and I must say that this gym has truly become my second home. The combination of its pristine cleanliness and the warm, polite staff have made my fitness journey a truly enjoyable and rewarding experience. BMAC stands out as a top-notch fitness facility due to its unwavering commitment to cleanliness and its incredibly polite and welcoming staff. If you're looking for a place where you can pursue your fitness goals in a comfortable and supportive environment, this gym is the perfect choice. It's clear to me that this gym takes pride in providing the best experience for its members, and I couldn't be happier with my choice to make it my fitness home.

Negative experience: Horrendous experience being a member, do not go. Take your business to respectable people.. Been a part of Many gyms/clubs in Ontario and within bC and have never had such an awful experience. To start the sign up was anything less of professional, the employee did not explain things thoroughly and I had to ask for a tour, not only that but the ladies at the front desk took 20 minutes to even say hello. From the moment I should of acted on my intuition and took the reviews serious. Upon leaving the gym all the employees were speaking loudly about other members very poorly, this was my first Impression. They were also very dismissive of certain people, I feel personally among certain groups…. Fast forward to now, I have had to cancel my membership and the customer service in my opinion has been atrocious. I would take your business elsewhere. For such a “ prestigious “ plan you will want to pay for service, which I feel is not attained here.

Negative experience: Would really appreciate the chairs being upgraded. They are so uncomfortable and the membership is quite expensive to be uncomfortable while trying to relax. Thanks for considering.

Negative experience: I would honestly give this place a 0 star review if I could between the snobby attitudes of the staff, the outrageous prices "designed to maintain a certain demographic" and recent implication of a wristband required to access the public volunteer made trails at the provincial park It's truly disgusting the magnitude of greed from these pigs

Fantastic experience: Just walked the BMAC Connector, Valley Loop, and Canada Cup with my 5 year old feline. Incredible views that hilite the vastness and beauty of the Valley Golf Course. You'll love it!

I wish the pool was a bit warmer in the winter but I totally understand how expensive and HARD that might be. Still top notch everything! Have been a member for 1 year now.

Positive experience: Great if you live on Bear Mountain and get the pass. Never too busy and always clean. Front of house staff is usually nice to deal with. Definitely got an “exclusionary” vibe when we signed up. I recall the lady (who no longer works there) saying the drop in price for the pool ($40.00) was set to “maintain a certain demographic” (ICK!!) and kinda looked at us to be happy about that comment. They absolutely could at least have a sign of land acknowledgment, seeing as all of the bear mountain community was built on sacred First Nations land belonging to the Coast Salish people. Anyways, if you live on bear mountain, I’d recommend the pool/gym pass. It’s a fair price for what you get. Otherwise, don’t bother.

Negative experience: Yes, the facility is clean and there are various types of fitness equipment, however a drop in rate of $29 for an adult and $16 for a child (mine is 11yrs old) is ridiculous. Further, when a front desk member told me that I can, "use one of the used, wet, dirty towels" (from a laundry basket) when fresh ones were not available (apparently due to the snow conditions: late January, when there was no snow and had not snowed in two weeks), I left feeling very disrespected and frustrated.

Negative experience: It's $30 to "drop in" if you want to use the gym. There is no alternative pricing. Front of house staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful.

Negative experience: Renovations are quite minimal. Front desk staff, less than welcoming. Rates for drop in ore covid were $25 and are now $45. $109 monthly pp and they LOCK you in a one year term. No option for just pool use. Ludacris.

Fantastic experience: Really nice & clean boutique gym which also has a separate women's workout gym downstairs from the main upper gym. There's a great outdoor salt water pool & hot tub and towel service.

Negative experience: Went for a drop in workout before the Spa treatment at Sante Spa and was shocked to find out the drop-in fee of $20 which did NOT include the pool. No pool, only for members (seems a bit silly) Yikes! I paid the fee and used the treadmill for 30 minutes and left. I have been to many gyms and the most I have paid was $15. The only water station was in the yoga room which was odd to me because I couldn't get water while there was a class in there. I was told it is the only water station. How odd? So I give this place a 1. Super friendly staff but I would go elsewhere for a workout.

Negative experience: I ordered a burger at the poolside restaurant, paid, then waited over an hour and a half but they never served me so I gave up and asked for a refund. It was painful to see others getting their orders served and I asked a few times if they had maybe forgot about my order, but the server was frantically making drinks and pretty much ignored me. It was nice enough to relax by the pool but they were extremely understaffed and over worked so it ruined the experience for me. I do not intend on ever going back.

Fantastic experience: Hired a bike to use the trails there while I was visiting family nearby. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. The rental prices were reasonable and the trails themselves pretty good. Personally I don't think the trail marking was as good as it could be (I went the wrong way a couple of times) but I would certainly recommend the experience.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff and management! You definitely get a great priced membership with everything that is included :) They also have a really nice boutique at the front entrance with high end active wear and fitness gear. The place is very well kept.

Negative experience: "Adult Electric Bike (MTB or City)" This is direct from their their website. Got told by an unfriendly lady at the desk whom we were clearing bothering with our questions, that they haven't offered e-bikes in over a year. I wouldn't rent a (regular) bike from here just because of the attitude of the staff member that we dealt with.

Positive experience: The location is great, since I live in Bear Mountain. The gym is clean and well kept. The spin bikes are very old and break down all the time. Some key pieces of gym equipment missing. Staff are great and the classes are very good. To get 5 stars they just need to get some decent spin bikes and some key workstations upstairs.

Fantastic experience: I think the staff and facilities are awesome. Lots of free classes and access to pool and hot tub with the membership which people don't realize makes it more than worth it. Plus summer parties and a pool cabana in the summer. Ignore the butthurt people.

Fantastic experience: My experience at the NLREC has always been top notch! The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The gym is always clean and the outdoor pool and hot tub is amazing! They offer wicked pool parties in the summer with DJ every Saturday/Sunday. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: The north Langford rec center is a great place to work out, my experience with the staff has been amazing and everyone is super nice and helpful. It also has a lovely pool deck with a cabana that's open in the summer that serves awesome food and drinks. The north Langford rec center is my top choice whenever it comes to wanting to relax or workout.

Negative experience: The prices are outrageous. $15 for 2 slurpees. The staff are not even close to trained. Pool is saltwayer based which is nice but holy cow... The prices for everything. Completely out of sync with everything on the planet. Bring a fat wallet and be ok with $5 hot dogs.

Negative experience: Got a membership as I am a bear mountain homeowner. Love the group class instructors but for the price we are paying the equipment is very outdated. I've heard from other members emailing there same complaint and nothing has ever been done. It would nice to see some changes as we are paying more then double the Y.

Negative experience: Very careless with the care of their gym equipment as they are with keeping their clientele. Nice outdoor pool but that's about it. All in all not impressed thus far. One experience I will share, my job is month on month off. I signed up for the year contract $55/mo and tried numerous times to get in contact with the Manager to inquire about putting my membership on hold for the time that I go away. Turns out that they don't do holds ( many other gyms do including Goodlife and the YMCA, etc...) but she offered that I could cancel and when I returned from work, I could sign up for the $70 month to month rate. I returned and was offered $90 month to month rate because the price had 'gone up'. I tried to contact the Manager after that and she ignored my emails and phone calls. Quite unprofessional and deceiving in my opinion. And that's just one of the many bad experiences that I've had here. Also lack in cleanliness and care of their gym equipment.

Positive experience: We come here every time we visit Victoria. Very nice place. The only issue we experienced is there are too many wasps and the wasp traps haven't been replaced since last year.
