Fantastic experience: Great Facility with something for every type of person. The equipment is top-notch with all the integrations to your phone. Big fan of all the classes including Bike & Yoga - always good direction in them! Lastly, thanks to April for the tour and showing all the facilities, the place is like a maze

Fantastic experience: Really pleased with my decision to join Altea! Admittedly, there were some frustrations in the launch - regular delays, not all amenities open at first, issues with lockers. However, I can't really fault them for that as I know supply chain issues were a nightmare and they can't control timing for getting city approvals etc. plus launches are never perfect. Having said that their communication on updates was consistent and their service more than made up for any frustrations. Everyone I've spoken to on their staff has been lovely. Also the cleaning crew deserves a nod from what I've seen (especially compared to other gyms and public spas I've been) - never low on towels, showers, bathrooms and vanities are always clean. Kudos! Now that things are all up and running I am thrilled that I got my membership when I did. The facility is top notch with a lot of attention to detail. Everything is nicely maintained and cleaned. The pool area is phenomenal and I'm always surprised every time I go that it's somehow not too busy. Great equipment selection, love the all around wellness options (salt lounge, 2 different yoga rooms plus the quiet lounge before joining classes, hot tub and sauna, juice bar etc.). Hell, I even tried that Somadome thing that I would have told you beforehand was just a cutesy thing but I genuinely did enjoy. I haven't had a chance to fully use the restaurant and entertainment elements yet but from what I've seen and heard, they're also fantastic touches to making this a full community space. Also giving a nod to the guest day pass return/deal when getting a dinner at the restaurant over a certain amount - that was the biggest obstacle in me bringing people, so great solve. Also good to see so many community events happening there - really going above and beyond to make this a real social feel. Overall, really impressed with how it's come together and I'm happy with my membership. Hope to see this level of maintenance and exceptional service continue - I'll be a member for a long time!

Fantastic experience: This place is just amazing. Not your average gym. It has all that you are looking for and more. As a person who is active and works from home this place has all that I need to stay active and motivated. Shout out to Hannah P for setting me up for my trial start! Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. I joined recently with a Diamond membership and have been going to the LF3 classes. These classes are so well structured and I already feel mentally/physically stronger. I am pushing through my perceived limitations. I’ve also tried their spinning and hot yoga classes. All the instructors I’ve met are highly positive, motivational and professional. Love the amenities like the steam room. I leave feeling like a Queen. Thank you Altea.

Fantastic experience: Signing up for Altea has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Great amenities, good food at the Catalyst, amazing staff! Margaret signed me up and explained which gym membership would be the best fit for my needs. She was super helpful and has continued to be helpful every time I run into her at the gym! Cannot recommend her enough if looking to sign up. I also do personal training with Abtin and he’s very professional. Every week he has a workout plan for me and it’s been a pleasure working with him. The overall Altea experience has been great and as someone who has never joined a gym until Altea, I highly recommend this one!

Fantastic experience: We joined Altea last week and love it! Curtis kindly showed us around and we were blown away, the variety of classes, Himalayan salt lounge, beautiful yoga studios, members only restaurant (with happy hour), swimming pool and a cool ‘universal’ change room which just makes it more inclusive for everybody. We have never been happier. We tried Goodlife & F45 but us, this is exactly what we needed to break up the WFH routine! We wake up excited to work out.

Fantastic experience: Altea active is easily one of the nicest gyms in the GTA. The facility is clean, easy to navigate and beautifully designed. Besides the gym itself, being part of Altea feels like a community - the employees really do contribute to the overall experience. Specifically margaret one of the membership coordinators has always provided me top tier customer service and has gone out of her way to make me feel part of the community. Her energy and dedication to her role is unmatched.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. The gym has amazing set of classes including Yoga, aqua Zumba, HIIT sessions. They have more than one type of yoga class. Superb cleanliness maintained overall.

Fantastic experience: Hannah was amazing at showing me around and giving me a tour of everything this place has to offer. I’ve been around the block a few times in terms of gyms — GoodLife, Hard Candy, Equinox — and she impressed me with just how much like those other gyms Altea is not. It’s got everything the other gyms do, but it stands out entirely in a category of its own and beats the competition out of the water. It’s got everything that’s important to me — amazing community feel, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and any type of class you can imagine!

Fantastic experience: It’s like going on vacation every day. Altea is hands-down the best fitness facility I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot. The classes are amazing, the setting and facilities are spectacular, the restaurant is premium yet well-priced and you get $10 happy hour meals every day. It’s a great place to work, And it just has a great energy and vibe. I was reluctant to join because I’m in my mid-40s and worried about it being too young, but it’s great. I honestly can’t stop going every day even when I need a break lol

Fantastic experience: I have had a membership since October 2021 and was patiently waiting for the gym to open. It was 100% worth the wait. The facility is beautiful and has everything you could want and more. I have also had the chance to have amazing experiences with their staff who is always super helpful. I usually only deal with Hannah who is in the sales department and she has been nothing short of amazing. I an questions or assistance I need she has always been able to take care of me. She has helped friends and family of mine find affordable plans to make sure they are getting the most out of their experience. Also with the new pool and cold shower now running, this will be a place I go to for a very long time.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely in love with this place! I joined Altea yesterday andI’m so excited to come in as often as possible. Special shoutout to Hannah who gave us an amazing tour of the venue and for outlining all the perks of this gym. Hands down the best gym in the city.

Fantastic experience: It is difficult to find a gym that provides as many options for working out. I could choose to slog it out in an LF3 class, do some laps in the pool, do my own workout or sweat it out in a yoga class. This in fact is the kind of freedom that is encouraged. If you want a gym that fits in your lifestyle and not the other way around, this gym is for you.

Fantastic experience: Since I moved to Toronto in March, Altea Active in Liberty Village has been great. Since my onboarding with April P, I've definitely found a gym I call home. The staff and members are very kind and respectful in all of my encounters and hope to stay at this gym with all of the awesome amenities it has! Great location with an even better 80k+ sqft property!

Fantastic experience: Joining Altea, changed my life!! This is all in one gym, you name it.. they have it. It has made workout more fun. I love different types of yoga classes with super awesome instructors. My most favorite is aquatic center which has swimming pool spa sauna. Best place to call it a day. :) Special thanks to the staff who are always there to welcome you with big smiles.

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to the area and was pretty excited to learn this mammoth of a gym was within walking distance of my new place I set up a tour with Margaret and was really happy with how I was welcomed into the gym by her. She knew her stuff about this place, that’s for sure! Haley (I believe that was her name) was also very helpful at the front desk when I was having issues with my access tag. So far I’m loving it…I’m sure you will too!

Fantastic experience: Update (Mar 16th) - bumping this up to 4 stars since they take feedback well. They quickly fixed and updated the locker issues and a quick response on here. Only thing remaining is waiting for the pool/saunarium/salt lounge to open - which just got pushed to mid-late April . I expect it to be great when it opens but 4-stars until then. —- Slightly rocky opening but optimistic I can bump this rating up to 5-stars in the next couple of weeks (Mar 2022). Some current issues: -Fancy gym locks are finicky and the app hasn’t been setup properly, and/or doesn’t have the proper instructions -Bathroom finishes still not fully complete, and Pool/Saunarium area not yet open -towels are tiny (compared to Goodlife) and have the texture of a dishcloth (also since they’re new, they leave lint everywhere) Positives: -Steam room is open and nice and hot! -Vibe and decor are great, even has a phone booth if you need to take a quick office call while at the gym -The bonkers amount of space & equipment available is amazing -Unique machines that are extremely better than old school counterparts (standing hip abductor for one) -Great membership - generally respectful and friendly folks; looking forward to the social aspect soon as Catalyst opens & COVID restrictions are fully peeled back

Fantastic experience: The club/gym is great. I particularly like the classes! I never used to like cycle classes but Maha’s class is the one that made me keep coming back every week! (Shout out to Maha ) Also - love grabbing a quick bite at the catalyst after workouts! Food is reasonably priced and pretty fresh.

Fantastic experience: Altea has been an exciting addition to my routine. The Club offers incredible amenities, my favorite would have to be the cycle studio classes. The famous Tree Lounge also provides a calm space to get your work done and focus. 5 Star!

Fantastic experience: Altea is a great addition to Liberty Village. The gym is huge! All the equipment is current and easy to get access too. I love all the classes that they have to offer. They have added more classes so it is easier to book a slot now. The locker rooms are immaculate. So many options to get a workout,socialize,get a bite,work and repeat.I feel with such a big facility and with current global issues Altea has done a fantastic job of trying to impress and please all their valued Clients. I would highly recommend Altea for your new club.

Fantastic experience: Being a member since ground opening, I’ve been enjoying going to the club regularly & especially joining a variety of classes. As a great addition to the neighborhood, it is an awesome place to get fit again after gyms were reopened in T.O. and to hang out with friends. Special thanks to Maha and all other great instructors who put their hearts to provide their knowledge and care while running those well organized fitness classes - your hard work is and will be always appreciated!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, large, spacious place that has everything you need to work out, stay active, have fun, relax, meditate, work and play in the same place. I could easily spend the whole day at the club, enjoying the multiple activities they offer there. Almost everything included in the membership. The variety of classes is impressive and wide schedule too, you can start classes at 5am to 9/10pm. It is amazing. The ONLY downside is that it is VERY crowded, specially the weight area...like, anytime, any day. Nothing impossible to manage, but it is a fact.

Fantastic experience: Incredible customer service and space. Truly a wholistic wellness centre that extends beyond just being a gym. Such care and detail went into building the facility and a great addition to the community. They have top of the line equipment with a large variety of fitness classes - not to mention the more luxury services such as Himalayan salt room, smoothie bar etc. I do think the lower rated reviews are unfair and jumped the gun (sometimes even before they opened) and without allowing this new business to settle in and figure out the usual kinks and feedback any large scale business faces when it first opens - especially during a pandemic. They have done an amazing job adjusting by listening to their customers and in a timely manner. Super happy with my membership.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE! This club is incredible! Love how friendly the staff are. This has really become my second home. Amazing vibe! Started PT with Jason Z at the pop up location on Blue Jays Way and loving it. I was nervous about restarting my wellness journey after the year plus we’ve had but the entire Altea Active team and Jason have made me feel welcomed and confident I can reach my goals. Excited for every PT session!

Fantastic experience: Just had my first personal training session with Alex. It was great, he is super knowledgeable and took a lot of time to understand my needs and goals which I really appreciate. Good movement cues and creative programming that taught me some new stuff. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Best facility that I've been to. So much variety and amenities. From Catalyst restaurants (try the chicken sandwich) to Somodome. I've tried cycling for the first time and loved it. My kids love the Duckpin bowling and Active kids club. That's just the first two floors, the gym itself has everything I need. I can spend hours there. It's true what they say. I can sweat, play and stay all day. Best facilities in the GTA

Fantastic experience: An all-in-one club with swimming pool, hot & regular yoga classes, anti-gravity yoga, hundreds of free classes (TRX, Boxing, etc), spin studio, gym, personal training, and a dedicated small group training studio. There’s really no excuse to not workout with all the options available. There’s also a kids club for parents to drop off their kids so they can workout or even do a spa day lol. By far the best club in Canada. Membership rates are very reasonable (cheaper than lifetime & equinox ). Oh best of all, it’s a company.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility that has all the bells and whistles catered to all demographics, Altea is a true one stop shop! The people are just as awesome as the building, they make the environment positive welcoming and inclusive to all. I can’t say enough good things about Altea

Fantastic experience: After the last couple years this is exactly what Toronto needed. Altea offers everything you could need under one roof including a visually inspiring open work space, a restaurant and bar equipped with a bowling alley and arcade machines, 25m lap pool, steam rooms and even an ice lounge. There is a large selection of free weights and machines (mostly Technogym) and multiple studios offering small group personal training (LF3), yoga, barre, boxing bootcamp, TRX and many more amazing classes. Well done to all involved with getting this incredible club open.

Fantastic experience: The facility is state of art. You can sweat, play and stay all day. When I am in the club, all I see is Happy faces and great smiles. Its a great place to be. Food is amazing, classes are Great and service is exceptional!

Brings everything Toronto needs to help with physical, mental and spiritual health. All with promoting a positive social community.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for an environment that will inspire and motivate you to put your health and wellness first, this is it. The most unique gym facility I’ve ever been to. You can spend the whole day there with all of the amenities and options available, embedded into your workday, it’s definitely not a chore to get out to this “gym”.

Fantastic experience: Updated: The pool area is now open! Along with other areas such as the salt lounge, cocktail lounge and game rooms the club has delivered on its promises. AlteaActive is an impressive fitness and social activity centre offering so much, from its core strength workout gym, fitness classes, childcare, golf simulation and game room there is much to keep you coming in. Atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Cleaning teams to take care of the place. Social space allows for WFG capabilities with Wi-Fi 6 internet accessibility. Multimedia interactive displays for the cardio machines, aerobics room with silk styled hangers. Great addition to the growing King / Duffering community of growing neighborhoods.

Cleaners are constantly there, there’s never been a time that I havnt seen a cleaner and I’ve been going 1-2 times a day. There are always classes and the variety of classes is amazing. So glad I signed up!

Fantastic experience: Love the diverse and inclusive culture! I can call this gym my 2nd home. Also, this is my playground thanks to wonderful and family like teams and fun classes!!! Try out the fun classes from aerial yoga, hot yoga, barre, pilates to HIIT, cycling, body sculpt, core blaster classes So much fun 7 star classes and teams!!!!!

Fantastic experience: This facility is exceptional for Toronto and even North America. A multi level, all inclusive and spa like fitness facility in the podium of a new condominium is special. It's like staying at a luxury resort. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and well informed. Laura assisted me greatly in making my decision. Well priced and stacked with great qualified instructors. I'd highly recommended it!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Not only is it the most beautiful gym I’ve everrr been to but the staff is nice and the place is clean and organized. Fantastic experience: Gym and studios officially opened March 5, 2022. And wow! Did they ever deliver. The facility is absolutely stunning. Brimming with amenities and studios. Staff are lovely. Their kids club is a full on indoor playground (I have a 2 and 4 year old and they demanded to come back the next day). Location unbeatable. They are still building their aquatics centre and some other amenities, which is insane, because the place is already so good. Hats off to the team for powering through COVID, and sticking to their vision. You’ve truly added to the character of this city.

Fantastic experience: I’ve struggled through and post pandemic to find the motivation to get back into a regular workout habit, and moreso to find the momentum to keep going. But… I signed up on Thursday and have been every day since. Love the class variety, the premium amenities, places to chill, and tech enabled equipment. I am doing the LF3 program and Jamie is an excellent and attentive trainer. I laughed at first at the “social club” idea, but this is seriously a place to see and be seen. I hope that all my friends join so that we can enjoy this awesome place together! Can’t wait for the pool and rest of the amenities to open!

Fantastic experience: Stunning facility! Have really enjoyed each of my classes and instructors! Not everything is complete yet (pool area, Himalayan salt room, restaurant, games area and parts of the washroom) This gym is unbeatable in my opinion!

Fantastic experience: Was anxiously waiting for months for Altea Active to open and it was well worth the wait! The facilities are amazing and modern. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly. I have communicated with them via email several times to ask questions and their customer service is great, they respond promptly and we’re able to help me. The classes I have attended have been challenging in the best ways, fun and the instructors have all been friendly, helpful and overall just amazing. The classes do fill up quick but I haven’t had issues going to the classes I’ve wanted to. Overall, I’ve tried various facilities and this one is my favourite so far as it’s a great value for what they offer and has a positive environment. Glad to have this nearby and to be part of this community.

Fantastic experience: **This is not a review for Altea Active. Gym hasn’t opened yet. This is a review for their personal training service being offered out of the temp location** I signed up for personal training through Altea with Will Romero. Will has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve been training with him for 3 weeks now and have absolutely enjoyed all my workouts. He keeps things interesting by moving things up and it’s evident that he knows his stuff. If you’re looking for a personal trainer, I highly highly recommend Will.
