The Municipalities of Bruce and Grey Counties sit on the traditional territory of the Anishnabek Nation: The People of the Three Fires known as Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomie Nations. We give thanks to them, and to the Chippewas of Saugeen, and the Chippewas of Neyaashiinigmiing, as the traditional keepers of this land and water, and we also recognize the traditional homeland of the Metis Nation.

Statistics show that many local people simply do not have the financial means to access health and fitness programs which would greatly benefit their overall well-being. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, together we’re able to provide individuals and families with access to solutions so that they can overcome challenges.
One in seven YMCA members need financial assistance to access your Y. Twenty percent of Owen Sound and Chatsworth residents belong to a low-income household.
Interconnected issues that go along with low income include health problems, mental illness and addiction, social isolation, difficulty accessing resources and more.
The YMCA has multiple programs and services that directly combat these serious issues within our communities and we know our efforts can shift the course of the lives around us.

Fantastic experience: Great place.
Fantastic experience: Pretty swaggy if you ask me. Kinda mad the hours have shrunk tho, used to be able to stay till 12 but now it closes at 8 best :/
Positive experience: it's a great place but why is it closed at 2 on the weekends?

Fantastic experience: This thing is the size of the death star from Star wars but instead of destroying the planet Alderaan it's there to rip up and destroy your muscles into good health. Super affordable and tons of fun events for little schmoopy kids too!

Fantastic experience: Competitive rates, great equipment, great pool facilities, a 1/6 kilometre indoor track, a multi sport court, and two full size ice/arena surfaces. A good membership program is available as well.

Fantastic experience: Really nice place to workout and do group classes. Spin cycle is great in the winter, and the 9am Sunday Triathlon Club is awesome. Much better than sleeping in!
