Welcome to the Trinity Community Recreation Centre, a vibrant hub in Toronto that offers a variety of activities for everyone in the community. Our friendly and helpful staff are dedicated to providing an enjoyable experience for all visitors. The centre boasts excellent facilities, including:
- Multiple swimming pools, including a shallow kiddie pool and a larger 25-meter pool
- A gym hall for badminton, pickleball, and other sports
- Ping pong tables and activity rooms
While many users appreciate the clean and spacious environment, there are some concerns regarding pool availability, with reports of unexpected closures and inconsistency in scheduling. The centre is conveniently located at Trinity College Park, making it easy to access via public transport or bike, and offers wheelchair access. We encourage families to bring their kids for drop-in playtime as there are activities available for all ages. Join us at Trinity Community Recreation Centre and be a part of our inclusive community!
Trinity Community Recreation Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: I ove the staff
Positive experience: Good offering of diverse fitness but not always the best schedule for working people
Fantastic experience: Washroom in lower level at South End of building. There is parking but it is very busy
Fantastic experience: I enjoy playing volleyball here on Mondays but I do wish it was slightly longer (an extra 30 minutes would be fine) and instead of capacity at 18, maybe 21. 3 teams of 7, each time has a sub. I luckily live close by and get here on time, but it kind of sucks for some people that show up and it's already full.
Fantastic experience: Located at Trinity College Park, easily accessible by public transport and bike, with wheelchair access. Swimming Pools: There are two pools: a smaller, shallow one suitable for infants and young children, and a 25-meter pool. The changing rooms and pool are very clean. Weekends can get quite busy. Don’t forget to bring a lock for the lockers. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Facilities: Includes ping pong tables, a gym hall for badminton and other sports, and various activity rooms.
Negative experience: Pool is just too unreliable. I like this community Center for a number of amenities, but the pool isn’t one of them. Their pool schedule rarely matches their online schedule, it is frequently closed with no notice whatsoever due to maintenance, sick staff, or any other of a number of reasons I have been given. Even calling same day in advance to ask about the schedule has resulted in the pool still being closed/unavailable once I got there. This has happened up to 3 times in a single week and more often than I care to admit in total. Easier just to find another pool that is actually open per its posted schedule.
Negative experience: Filthy pool
Negative experience: Reading how the kiddie pool is brown water reminded me of a few years back swimming in the big pool often until a lady horked a big one in the pool. I told the lifeguard who looked at me with a blank stare and I immediately got out of the pool and never ever swam there again.
Fantastic experience: My first swim ever in a 25-yd pool. (I swim 4 days a week, total 5 km/week in metric pools training for middle distance triathlon). Garmin reported my personal best over 100 yd and 500 yds. No problem to come as drop-in. Paid with card. 3 rather wide lanes for lap swimming; the middle in each lane is free for passing. The pool was busy, but people were very disciplined. No collisions. I enjoyed my swim.
Fantastic experience: Love this place! Come play mahjong Fridays and Saturdays 1-3!! Grace is the sweetest and does an amazing job running the tables and teaching new players! Great to see so many people using our city facilities
Negative experience: The swimming fouling
Negative experience: I arrived to visit the center for the first time on a Sunday at 4:28pm and the girl at the front desk greeted me saying: we are close and it was half an hour before closing time. That was very rude of her. To keep in mind it was the lady on the 4:30pm shift on Sunday April 28th, 2024
Fantastic experience: I have been coming here with my kids for 13 Years now . I have never had any issue . We really like it , it is clean and the staff are friendly.
Negative experience: The weight room in this generally dilapidated, depressing and run down facility is so disgusting and sparsely equipped and dirty I actually couldn't believe it! Avoid this place at all costs. The dust dirt and mold in this basement cave will surely not gel with your fitness goals. Brutal experience especially the draconian check-in to the communist style card entry system and guard who collects "your papers" in front of the weight room entrance. Truly awful. The city of Toronto should be embarrassed to charge $ money for entrance into a "facility" like this.
Positive experience: Usually when I go here, it is for swimming. The pool varies in its temperature. There will always be people who will complain about a pool being too hot (usually people who like to swim many lengths in a row) and some who will say it is too cold (those who are just learning to swim, those who stand around a lot in the water, those who have very low body fat such as the very young and many elders….The toddler pool is usually warmer than the big pool. I *DO WISH* that the showers were warmer (and that they stayed on longer per button push, and that there was a safe place for parents to put their babies/toddlers down, while showering the chlorine off themselves and getting changed out of their own suits….it’s risky trying to do these while holding wet babies…. And awkward.
Fantastic experience: This is one of my favourite Community Centres in Toronto. I enjoy the fitness classes, pool and gym. There's lots of light and the bldg is spacious. Ping Pong tables are on the main floor. Memberships are very affordable. I like going to Fresh for a healthy vegetarian meal after my time here. Friendly staff and all good vibes.
Fantastic experience: Good to bring your kids here for drop in playtime
Positive experience: In my neighborhood. Trying to see what they offer. May join in February.
Positive experience: I’m enlisted here for adult swim lessons and I can’t fault the Center at all for that. My instructor is great and in three weeks I’m much more comfortable in deep water than I was when I started. The changing rooms are, erm, very high school. Thankfully I live close so can shower when I get home.
Fantastic experience: The facility itself is fine - older for sure but fine. I go there to play pickleball once a week. The 5 stars is primarily to recognize the outstanding individual who manages our event (Monday seniors’ pickleball) - Raheem. The guy is fantastic. Remembers everyone’s names, matches people up in groups according to their skill level and everything runs very smoothly. He’s friendly, engaged and just a great representative of the community centre.
Fantastic experience: ❤️
Negative experience: If they are going to have voice mail they need to update it. I am not pleased. Waste my time going there.
Fantastic experience: Very Clean. Excellent Staff
Positive experience: Good
Fantastic experience: Nice swimming pool. Toddler swimming lessons are lovely and instructors are nice.
Fantastic experience: Is Canadá, all is family. Thanks for my shower
Fantastic experience: If you need to use the washroom, they have public washrooms inside the community center.
Fantastic experience: It is a complete recreational and sport centre . Many people come for diverse purpose . I attend to its indoor pool
Fantastic experience: 一个社区的活动中心,有游泳池,有乒乓球羽毛球等设施
Fantastic experience: I like the costumer service there. People are nice and friendly
Positive experience: #Toronto
Fantastic experience: It's great. The gym is cheap. The swimming pool is nice. The ping pong tables are always taken up by old Asian men. Doesn't matter what time of day.
Fantastic experience: My wife takes the kids here quite often. They love the indoor pool. It being next to the trinity belwood playground, it offers a great many things to do. Ping pong (or table tennis) seems to be very popular here. We also go here for the indoor free play in the gym. So if it is rainy outside, this place is good to stop on by for.
Positive experience: Ping pong, basketball, pool, indoor track..
Fantastic experience: Great centre very clean and spacious the instructors are very patient knowledgeable
Fantastic experience: Nice place to play ping pong
Fantastic experience: Beginners pickleball Tuesday 9-11:46
Fantastic experience: My daughter had fun with their preschool craft classes. The staff is approachable, the activities are really interesting for kids, and the rate for a whole season is very affordable
Fantastic experience: Community Hall under renovation Closed for events
Negative experience: This is a great community centre but if your going swimming in the winter, keep walking. The toddler pool is not heated so the poor babies are freezing, and the main pool is "heated" but its just not frozen. Lasted 10 mins and then had to return to the UNHEATED change rooms and go back out into the cold to go home. Now my kids are sick! Not recommended for families but I'd recommend this for a polar dip indoor alternative.
Fantastic experience: Kiddos come here for swimming and ballet and they love it. The instructors are great! The place is a bit old but the pool is great for kids.
Fantastic experience: Love it. Amazing swimming pool and table tennis
Fantastic experience: First time going there really amazing
Positive experience: Nice staff, decent pool.
Positive experience: The Badminton Drop in is always full. You have to come at least 1 hr in advance to line up and get the drop-in ticket.
Negative experience: All the machines are very old and half them need to be replaced. The pool is also cold in fall & winter time. I caught cold once after swimming there. Its cheap but I wont recommend it & I wont renew my membership.
Fantastic experience: Great staff, wonderful programming and amenities. A neighbourhood hub and gem.
Positive experience: I usually go on Sundays to play badminton here. They charge you around $4.5 for 2 hours play [as of December 05, 2022]. Only thing is every 15 mins you have switch to allow other players to play.
Positive experience: As far as city rec centres go, this one is pretty good. The staff are friendly, and they have lots of different programs and facilities. We particularly like the tot pool.
Fantastic experience: This place has everything!
Fantastic experience: Cool pool (literally) and excellent staff.
Negative experience: Pool could be 1-2 deg warmer. Unexpectedly closed last 2 Fridays due no life guards ;(
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, clean facility.
Fantastic experience: Clean, spacious community space. Great pool and dance studio. Also has a track, gym with weights and cardio machines.
Fantastic experience: Hi guys, great place. Just wondering why the blue lights are on at night. Have a good one. -- Ned
Positive experience: Nice relaxing place.
Positive experience: Used the advanced voting station here. Was NOT busy (Sun @ 1 pm). Accessibility for handicapped person was underwhelming. Staff were friendly.
Fantastic experience: Friendly environment, lots of activities.
Negative experience: My 8:45am swim session cancelled today, no lifeguards had shown up.
Fantastic experience: My the best place to be when I want to do my workout. Great environment..best of all. Great service and hospitality are given to each individual. Hat off to Larry and Veronica. Great staff. Keeper for sure.
Fantastic experience: My the best place to be when I want to do my workout. Great environment..best of all. Great service and hospitality are given to each individual. Hat off to Larry and Veronica. Great staff. Keeper for sure.
Positive experience: Ok but needs a stair climber.
Fantastic experience: Amazing
Fantastic experience: Love this little community center, super convenient, has a pool, I used to play volleyball here. Very well kept and a great place to have in the neighborhood

Fantastic experience: This is a beautiful park
Positive experience: just want to respond to that awesome potato29 person..who the heck goes to the rec center to eat??? thats your problem right there never been here, looks cool though
Fantastic experience: Kinder gym- Monday, Wed. & Saturday. It’s a big gymnasium full of toy cars kids (10 months plus). The cars that babies ( at least 7 months stable sitting & crawling) can sit in and parents can push are there too. They have a small padded section of rocking toys and slides for the crawling & sitting babies.
Fantastic experience: Great community hub
Fantastic experience: Good community feel in there
Fantastic experience: Leasure swimming extended hours.. Blessed
Fantastic experience: Great facilities
Fantastic experience: I love it very friendly staff and clean environment am proud of my community center
Negative experience: Overall poor service and mediocre food. We waited an hour and a half for our food. The waiter was rude and condescending. When we got the food, it was incredibly greasy and bland. Overall terrible. Do not recommend.
Positive experience: Good park for the kids to have fun.
Positive experience: Helpful staff and goos classes
Positive experience: The bathrooms need looking after.
Fantastic experience: Pool is full of water.
Fantastic experience: Great environment for winding down. You will never regret it. Friendly and romantic atmosphere. No dull moment!!!

Fantastic experience: Great place but very busy
Fantastic experience: Love this park middle of downtown
Positive experience: Love going there guards are great
Positive experience: I only went to the swimming pool, but it's great, usually clean, staff is cool !
Positive experience: Sometimes they cancelled swimming classes without notice but good in general
Positive experience: Always a busy hub great family services the swimming class has been excellent for my daughter
Positive experience: Came for Ping Pong at 6:30PM to 9:00PM. Borrowed a racquet from the centre. The racquet was cheap and some rubber was tear off. Better to bring your own racquet. Played with a pretty girl who wasn't part of our group. We were both beginners, so we did whatever and most of times the ball flew everywhere.
Positive experience: Fairly decent community centre. They are often performing repairs, and things are breaking every now & then in between the repairs, but it's still rather decent over-all.
Fantastic experience: Clean, positive. Lots.of activities for.families. my son does.a hip hop.dance.class, and my daughter has done gymnastics there. The table tennis scene is surreal.
Fantastic experience: Great place to take a pee if you're in the park and you're against public urination
Fantastic experience: Mostly nice staff.
Fantastic experience: Great pool area with great staff
Fantastic experience: Lòts of things to do and mostly FREE! for all ages but a great place to bring the kids
Fantastic experience: Love the vibe and the location
Fantastic experience: A great place to be on a Sunday afternoon
Fantastic experience: Awesome ! Older building, well kept. Beautiful park surrounding. Nice place for family day. Swimming pool , gym, ping pong.
Positive experience: I only come here for badminton on sunday. Its pretty good and cheap.
Positive experience: Please see my review of "Trinity Bellwood's Park for a confusing and detailed send up of this beloved sports complex which so embodies both our ability to cultivate unendingly impressive living sports potential in even the skinniest of domesticated rats as well as reminds us that we, as human individuals as much asmere segments of the rich tapestry we call the human Race, beyond which there is certainty regarding one thing only; that we are not rats. Staff will let u know in the evenings when you'll need to leave the building by dragging stone and woidrn benches from their locations against walls down hallways to wedge them tightly against the insides of exits and wrap chains around doorhandles to ensure that even those who can can climb over benches will remain trapped and searching for the keys to these ridiculous industrial sized locks.
