Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Nexus Health and Fitness. This gym changed my life. I've been working out 5 to 6 days a week for 4 years now, but it wasn't until I made the move over to Nexus that everything changed. First off, the community inside those doors is unlike anything I've ever seen before. From the very first time I walked into that gym, I was welcomed by everyone with a hello or a warm smile, and as time has gone on, these people have become great friends in my life. Secondly, Kyle Rayner and his wife Melissa Rayner have been nothing but amazing. These two really give it their all to help their client's in the gym and their community. Kyle has been my trainer for 7.5 months; with him, I've lost about 38 lbs, managed my nutrition goals, and built an unbelievable amount of strength. Nexus has a trainer for everyone and every lifestyle. I give this gym a 5 out of 5. If you live in Thunder Bay, you should really check it out; if you're passing by and want a quick pump, hit up Nexus! Thank you, Kyle, Melissa, and the entire Nexus community for always making everyone feel welcome and included.

Fantastic experience: I dropped into this gym multiple times while traveling. The owner, Kyle Rayner, is the real deal. He has competed in competition and knows what works and what's fluff. Great drop in price, great gym, and real equipment for those who are serious about training, whether it's strongman, powerlifting, or bodybuilding.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. It has what you need and more without being complicated. Was visiting family in town for an emergency and the owner was great for setting me up for the week. If I was a local I would absolutely go regularly.

Positive experience: Outstanding gym if you’re looking to get your pump on ! It’s got that hardcore bodybuilding, powerlifting atmosphere to it ! The owner is a jacked giant BUT ! Super nice guy ! If you’re looking for this style gym then this is your place ! Boxing, CrossFit needs are met as well here and their are showers for you after your get your stank on.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic gym in the core of Westfort! If you're looking for a fitness center that has a sense of community, this is the place to be. The Rayner's are really excellent people and it shows in their gym.

Fantastic experience: Just started back in the gym after almost 30 years. I was a bit nervous, but there was no need to be. Friendly atmoshere, people of all walks of life. Kyle is very personable and easy to deal with. Hired Anita as my personal trainer and she is excellent. Clean facility with all options.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym with good hours. There are plenty of squat racks, an arm-wrestling table, a strongman room, and a good variety of machines. Dumbbells go up to 190 lbs, in addition to the strongman dumbbells. The owner is really cool.

Fantastic experience: Girlfriend and I checked out the gym tonight as a walk in. Great setup and lots of unique tools among all of your traditional gym equipment. Strongman room to boot with pretty well anything you can imagine. Would not hesitate to try it again and sign up for a membership. Hours sound more convenient than most gyms and everyone we met was more than friendly and happy to answer questions. 5 stars, no doubt about it.

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite gym in TBay. Great Vibe with a great mix of people - from kids to grandmas, muscleheadz to beginners. Machines and free weights for all shapes and sizes. Well done Mr. Rayner

Fantastic experience: The best gym in Thunder Bay, truly the most diverse population of gym goers! People of all ages and all levels, strongman/woman, powerlifters, bodybuilders and people doing their own thing. Great gym culture, clean, and knowledgeable caring owners! If you care about putting the work in and working hard you found the right gym.

Fantastic experience: As a contract worker I have been to many different gyms over the passed 7 years. I have tried several gyms and honestly none have even compared to Nexus. First, the community at Nexus is unbeatable. The people there are nothing but friendly and motivating. If you're working out and pushing hard or going for a PR everyone will cheer you on/motivate you/congratulate you. The trainers are a fantastic crew and willing to give you a few tips if you need/want it. Kyle (owner) and Dallas made me feel welcome right from the moment I got there. Second, the facility. The space at Nexus is well utilized. Everything is set up to maximize space. There are many different bars, and machines. There are many spaces to deadlift/squat/bench. The strongman room is a really great place to visit and check out. The turf strip is great for walking lunges, sled push/pulls, there is a yoke, etc. Honestly, there is much more I could say I lived about this place. I would rate this Nexus higher than 5 stars if I could. 1000% will return to Nexus in the future and cannot wait to be back! Thank you Nexus for making me feel so welcome and giving me such a great experience!

Fantastic experience: I took a leap of faith and contacted Kyle for a tour of the gym last year and haven't to looked back since! I started in Fitness Factory, doing 30 minute HIIT circuit and moved into the main gym just a few months later. It's a hard step to take when I've never been in a gym before and felt intimidated. Everyone I've met has been welcoming and encouraging, cheering on each other for beginners like me or those who have been pursuing gains and goals for years! I highly recommend Nexus, it truly is like family!

This gym is like a family who supports one another. It's right where I need to be. Glad I found this place !

Fantastic experience: I started going to Nexus when I joined the Thunder Bay arm wrestling club, it’s been a great place to train. I’ve found that Nexus offers so much more. Kyle has set me up with Bioprint and have lost nearly 30 pounds. I’ve given Nexus 5 stars, only because there isn’t an option to give it more.

Fantastic experience: In regards to the business being operated correctly, Nexus passes with flying colours. Our place of business always advertises Nexus to our customers, as it's a great place to reach all your fitness goals. I personally am a member there and happy that they are reopened.
