Negative experience: The gym is good and super clean overall, but some staff, especially personal trainers, are verbally rude and disrespectful to regular members; they will take machines from you midset. It feels like trainers working with clients have priority over equipment. even though members pay and have as much right to the equipment as trainers with clients.

Fantastic experience: This is a great location! Only thing that would make this club even better is if they had a boxing bag.

Fantastic experience: I'm convinced the Woodstock GoodLife is the best in Canada. I've travelled all over Canada, Vancouver, Calgary Edmonton, Sudbury, Fredericton and the one in Woodstock is by far the best one. Machines are kept working as optimally, all the weights are the same, and the facility is kept clean. Other GoodLife need to take notes of the Woodstock gym! Also, the employees are always friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: Really enjoyed GoodLife in Woodstock when I first joined. As of may1st showers and saunas and towel service are not available during non staffed hours which has made it much tougher for me to continue my current schedule which was why I switched here in the first place. Paying 90 dollars a month plus a membership I pay for another family member and I can’t even shower when it is nonstaffed. Not really sure why it is necessary to have staff available while I shower as they are not coming in to the showers to help? There is no reason to have switched to non staffed hours as the facility is the only decent gym in town and has increased drastically in clients since joining. Another case of saving money when it’s not necessary. Thank god crunch is coming to Woodstock in the near future… will be dropping my membership then and moving.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to leave a review about how awesome GoodLife in Woodstock is. I started coming here about a year ago and have love it everyday it a great and wide array of machines to use. The staff is so helpful and friendly especially Scott he’s the best and deserve some praise. whenever I walk in the door even when I’m having a bad day the staff put a smile on my face. Any problems I have they have fixed it for me. All the machine are taken care of even when they break the next day there fixed. Wouldn’t go anywhere else keep it up guys

Positive experience: The staff are great and the amenities are clean but it feels overcrowded at times. The yoga instructors are fantastic as well but the yoga studio is often flooded with noise from the women’s gym. If the door connecting the gym and the yoga studio could be sound proofed my rating would be higher.

Negative experience: As a long-time member with a premium membership, I have been quite displeased with Goodlife’s customer service of late. First the saunas and showers were down around Christmas. They were re-tiling, so we were understanding, despite paying for amenities we were not receiving. A little over a month ago, the men’s sauna was shut down due to rotted wood. Again, shutting it down to be fixed is understandable, but no staff seem to know when the sauna will reopen. I even went as far as to email head office two weeks ago. No response. I messaged the Woodstock location on social media. No response. Again, I am paying a premium family membership and my partner cannot use the sauna. Again, an amenity we pay for that can’t be used. Now we are hearing that Goodlifenis eliminating overnight staff. Which means, as it was several years ago, showers and saunas and amenities will be shut off after 11pm. As a shift-worker and a member who almost always uses the gym during “off-hours”, this means I will continue to pay a premium for all amenities we will not be able to use. As much as I do enjoy this gym and the staff, I have to shake my head at management’s short-sighted decisions (but hey.. you can spend thousands on a “recovery room”) and the complete lack of customer service from the management here as well as head office. EDITED TO ADD: This location has now sent an email stating the elimination of overnight amenities. When asked about a reduction of membership fees to reflect the loss of amenities, we were told that GoodLife retains the right to make changes at any time and I could cancel or downgrade my membership. What a disappointment. As long time members, we will be exploring new memberships at gyms in the area that don’t cost nearly as much and offer their membership SOME amenities for those of us that works shift work. We are completely disappointed with this decision.

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff, they have leaned my name, and what classes I take. Staff is also a wealth of information. Good equipment. Clean, I rarely have to wait for equipment, lots of options for different exercises.

Negative experience: Is it just me or has staff gotten ruder? Had a . membership on hold and it was in arrears by 20 bucks, cx rep rudely said it's unresolvable and I'd have to restart an entirely new membership as mine has now been cancelled. Guess what I won't be doing.

Positive experience: Great space, lots of room. Been a member since opening day and will be a member until the day I die.

Positive experience: Please stop letting people film and take pictures in the gym. Patch needs to review this policy as it is getting really creepy and people are becoming a nuisance and taking forever on equipment. Wish the staff would enforce that people are filming others without any permission or concern for privacy, etc.

Positive experience: Gym is clean with good amount of equipment. Staff is nice, downfall being the layouts. Get 25 people working out and it gets crowded. Also the cost at nearly $85/month Is outrageous for a membership.

Positive experience: Large gym with lots of equipment and friendly staff. However, the downside at the moment is the fact children (below 18 years of age) are using the gym as a hangout spot and overcrowd the weight area. The younger age groups used to be limited to certain times, when the gym was less busy, and certain equipment was restricted to them. The children hangout in groups and occupy equipment/weights while chatting, filming and taking pictures. The abundance of this is very disappointing, frustrating and causes the already busy periods to be even worse; making a good workout near impossible some days.

Fantastic experience: Was in town and stopped by the club. Steve was so kind, genuine, and welcoming. Hesaw to it that I was taken care of. Had an epic time working out here. Will definitely be back! Thank you STEVE:)

The facility is always kept clean and organized and have never been afraid to ask the staff any questions! People here are super friendly. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Very clean location aswell, with a decent assortment of equipment. Only true downside is the price as you're looking at $32 every other week for the most basic membership. A little pricey for my taste personally, might not be ideal for someone who only plans to attend everyonce and a while as there are probably better options, but if you're looking for a good place to go regularly then Goodlife Fitness is a great choice

Positive experience: Great gym, though as a woman I would have appreciated having an entrance in the women’s section as walking through the main gym can be a wee intimidating to women who might not be comfortable coming into the gym for the first while… good life is a well known gym and have fairly nice staff and atmosphere is decent… that would have been something to consider when opening this newer gym… truthfully it’s not too late for this to be considered but maybe not realistic. Shout out to the Custodial staff who keep that place so darn clean and the other members who take the time to wipe off the machines and weights! :)

Fantastic experience: Nice fitness center. Has a sauna, aerobics and hot yoga room. Staff are friendly (especially Bill), regulars keep to themselves and facilities are consistently clean.

Negative experience: It's ridiculous how we pay a premium price for a premium gym but the wifi is useless, cant even stream music and it's been like this for over a year.

Negative experience: Really disappointed. After years at this gym my immunocompromised husband had continued delaying his membership while off as he was advised not go to public spaces. He couldn't postpone anymore and ended up cancelling his membership as he didn't feel safe to return yet. Next month the requirement for only vaccinated people allowed in the gym happens. But he now has to pay for a sign up fee and pay a more expensive membership price, just poor communication on membership options and regulations. Great way to treat healthcare workers. So much for thanking healthcare workers. Thank you for your reply. After looking into it further yes that is an option that you provide which is great. But no it was not throughally explained to him as an option which is why he thought he had to cancel - which may have been conveniently forgotten because he had locked into a lower rate from years ago and this was the way to force him into a more expensive contract when he rejoined later. I'm just disappointed it wasn't explained to him and now to rejoin he will have to pay the 99 sign up fee plus double the rate he had before. Unfortunately you are the only gym with accessible hours so there really aren't alot of options - and to keep physically active to be able to lift people as a psw is part of his job. You do have good facilities and staff, but others do deserve to know that you are inconsistent in your communications and that it's cost our family more money from your lack of proper communication.

Positive experience: Staff are friendly and lots of classes and equipment to use. I am heading back for yoga and body flow only to stretch and strengthen. Sign up is a pain but covid is real.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed this gym. Lots of new equipment and very quiet on the morning that I was there. Maybe 15 people which was awesome. Well worth the membership. The stretching area wasn't the best but other than that the gym was well laid out. I know it's a bit silly, but the entrance and exit is really stupid. Or I'm stupid because I couldn't figure out how to get in and out of the main Gates of this gym. Strange so watch out! Towel service. Classes. Clean. Would recommend.
