Positive experience: Staff is not the most knowledgeable at all. Also for a gym this size to have 1 single rowing machine is crazy, the leisure centre is 1/10th the size and has 4.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to several locations in GTA and this one is by far the best. Hands down. Space allocation, cleanliness, staff friendliness, the availability and state of the equipments, parking spaces, in almost all aspects, it excels. Other locations make me feel depressed like “I have to go to the gym”and run away from them as soon as I’m finished, but this one I gladly go to and stay there if I have the luxury of time. Let me know if you can find another Goodlife better than this.

Negative experience: Worse customer experience, I had a serious situation today with one the member approached and cursed me for no reason and he was trying to attack me outside of the men locker by the water fonton ,when I reported the incident to the front desk they didn't do anything about it NOT even talking to they guy who used all curst words to me, I wanted the police to be invloved but they stopped me for no good reason ,I will not come to this location anymore , It has been 3 days and I called the Manager Natalie today but not able to get anywhere, I also contacted Goodlife head office and reported the incident I hope to hear back soon.

Positive experience: This is a great local gym. Huge range of equipment and machines spread over two floors. The gym is always clean. Janet who runs the pump class is a fantastic instructor. 6:15am pump classes are my favourite.

Negative experience: Worst goodlife location by far. the employees are a bunch of teenagers who are on their phone using Snapchat their entire shift. I ask them questions and I’m always disregarded because they’re too busy on their phone or talking with another worker. Also the gym community here is the WORST. People hog the equipment and never clean it afterwards. It’s disgusting. Def not coming here again, Markham locations give the best experience.

Negative experience: update: management is in it for the money. same generic reply’s to the same problem for over 7 months. scroll and youll see this; not enough room, over run, filled with kids, NOT WORTH YOUR TIME! Its just a headache because how disgustingly busy it is. not nearly enough equipment.

Positive experience: Packed to the rafters, mostly equipment with some small workout spaces in between. There is class space on the upper level with a good schedule with highly motivated teachers. The change rooms and washrooms all looking fairly new are located on the second level.

Negative experience: It's a good gym, but if something's broken, it takes forever for it to get fixed. It's annoying. There are now 3 cable machines broken. I'm sure they have their own contractors that they have to use, but Jesus, get it together goodlife. People pay good money to use these things. Edit. Lowered my review to 1 star because, like others have said, it's ridiculously busy here at all hours now. Can't even work out here anymore, it's stupid.

Negative experience: This gym is disgustingly busy. There is traffic coming from Markham, Uxbridge, Newmarket, Aurora and Stouffville. An absolute joke. Goodlife needs to implement appropriate controls to monitor the traffic in this gym. A 1-1.5 hour workout will easily take you more than 2-2.5 hours to complete. You will find yourself stuck waiting for equipment and machines all the time.

Fantastic experience: A great gym, fantastic set up and great facilities. The staff is fantastic which means a great overall vibe. A lot of space and equipment, even during the busy times it's not a struggle to get on the equipment you need.

Fantastic experience: Enrolled in a 3 day trial at this location and it was great! Large facility with sufficient equipment for any sort of training. Andrew at the front desk was of huge help and ultimately convinced me to make the permanent switch!

Positive experience: Great gym, compared to others in Markham. I prefer morning as I see properly and patiently being cleaned every day and every nook and corner. However, I see few key machines broken down for few months now. GoodLife when are you going to fix those?

Positive experience: Okay GoodLife. Some weird interactions. Also the gym closes at some point and the sauna and showers are shut off and towel service is cut. Weird concept but beware. I came one time for the sauna late night to find out it's not even operational when the place isn't staffed.

Negative experience: With a location as large and busy as this one, you would think they would have more machines to accommodate the population. Also, the water fountain water smells like chlorine. Who wants to drink water that smells like a pool?

Positive experience: Overall this is a really great gym! Unfortunately when classes are on, they intentionally leave the doors open. The extremely loud sound is hugely disruptive to those not in the class, you can’t drown it out with headphones on the upper floor. It has made me need to adjust workout to inconvenient times and I’m starting to consider switching to a different gym.

Fantastic experience: Dear Goodlife Stouffville, I have been committed to working out at your gym for the last 8 months. But before that a few years back I was also a member life happend and now I'm back. I have had the most beautiful experience here, beautiful staff at the front desk, ALWAYS smiling. I also have one of the most supportive kind, inspiring trainers at the gym, JENNIFER. Just stunning. To all the other trainers and staff they always smile acknowledge my presence ask me how im doing, polite and respectful. Management i have nothing but amazing things to say. So supportive and kind. Negative experience: Good gym if you’re 14. The sauna is gross. There are spider webs in corners. The staff think their IG famous. Over run by teenagers.

Negative experience: I recently registered with GOODLIFE in stouffville but I just cancelled my registration because their sauna is very small and crowded you can barely fit 3 people there its actually for 2 people for a big gym sauna size should be at least for 5 people, and also their showers are not 100% private everyone walks naked around you and I hated it , I hope they fix these issues in the future
Positive experience: 2nd home, but how do we explain to people in there to stop dropping cables and other machines so they stop breaking? It's so ridiculous. It's bad enough when it's busy, we don't need less things to use because they're out of order
Negative experience: Personal trainer is poor service. I GOT INJURED AND STOPPED THE PERSONAL TRAINING, BUT THEY DID NOT REFUND ME THE PERSONA TRAINING MK EY THAT I PAID IN ADVANCE! THEIR PERSONAK TRAINERS ARE NOT TRAINED WELL!

Fantastic experience: Stouffville is lucky to have such a nice Goodlife. I wish the yoga studio was bigger but it gets much hotter than other room’s because of the size.

Fantastic experience: This place and my trainer Carl Arroyo really transformed me. I’ve been going here a few months now and the progress I’ve been seeing is sky and earth. The trainers here aren’t only ur trainers but they really become ur friends. I would definitely recommend this place. Worth the price imo.

Negative experience: Upon my initial enrollment, I informed the staff member that I would be departing for a job opportunity in a month's time and was informed that I would be able to terminate my membership at my discretion. In exchange for a membership and personal training package, I remitted a payment of $480.00. Subsequently, I endeavored to suspend my membership via customer service channels on the day prior to my billing cycle, as there was no provision for immediate termination of membership. Although I intended to cancel my membership in person, time constraints impeded my ability to do so. To my dismay, the gym charged me for two additional months after my membership had been suspended, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite repeated efforts to engage the manager and head office, I was unable to obtain a refund. I was, however, assured that my membership would be permanently cancelled and that this circumstance would not be repeated. Upon review of my bank account, I discovered an unauthorized debit of $29.05 on August 20th, a full two years after my membership had been suspended. I contacted the gym to request a refund, but was kept on hold for over an hour and ultimately informed that a refund was not possible, even though my membership had been suspended for almost two years. I am now thoroughly dismayed, as I was misled at the time of my enrollment and have continued to be misled, in addition to being charged over $100..

Negative experience: Too packed, you can never get a machine, waaaay too many people at this gym. I know many people who are thinking of cancelling. People fight to get on a machine, you're always circling to see what machines are open, hard to get through your workout, way too many members, too crowded even at 9 pm! It's unfortunate because the staff are great, it's a clean gym, modern but too crowded. Unfortunately, this locations membership has exceeded the space and the equipment needed for people to get through their workouts and so you have people standing and waiting for benches to open and people standing while you're trying to get through your workout just so that they don't miss and lose a machine.

Positive experience: Great going early in the day but evening is a different story. Weights left around or misplaced, machines left unwiped. Completely lacks etiquette and discipline (isn't this a reason we go to the gym?). Thankful for some great staff members who will go out of their way keeping the gym tidy and clean. Night staff needs to have some skin in the game and unapologetically call others out who doesn't respect the gym

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of GoodLife for many years and I use different locations. The Stouffvile location is very clean. They have very friendly, nice and knowledgeable staff. Special thanks to Natalia, Jordan, and Tony, who introduced my son to fitness/gym and working out in general. My dream came true that my son is now working out with me. Thank you very much !

Negative experience: On Friday evening my lock got cut by a member of this gym in the women’s change room and my purse was stolen. Everything was in my purse including my car keys, and my cards were used before I could freeze them. I thought it could have been a mistake at first. When I went to tell the front desk they had no idea what to do and were not helpful or supportive in the moment. Police were called and the manager did not come in to help with the investigation that night, so the officer was unable to access camera footage until she came in Monday. The manager did not contact me until Monday afternoon where thankfully I was able to cancel my membership and get my money back from this month. This does not make up for what happened to me here. I wish the workers at this gym used a better approach then “there is nothing we can do about it”. Please be careful leaving anything valuable in the lockers here.

Negative experience: Disappointed. My wife and I recently joined Good Life and went to the Stouffville location on Thursday July 6th 2023 in the morning. The gym was overwhelmed with kids that are given a Free Summer Membership (July 5th - September 4th) under a Student Health Initiative from Good Life. The kids (12 - 17 yrs) were reasonably well behaved, but tied up many machines and were tuned into socializing more than working out. If you're going to charge premium dollar for membership, please have consideration for paying members that want to get in and get their workout done in a reasonable timeline. At the very least, try to cap the number of kids that are in the gym. Surely this is not an unreasonable request. Someone really dropped the ball here.

Negative experience: Gym was great when it first opened a few years ago to cool down the gym traffic from the Markham locations. Now this gym has exceeded the capacity. This location needs to stop selling membership as there is way too many people throughout all parts of the day. This location is the most northern good life in the GTA so I can imagine many people living in the North are coming to this gym. Goodlife should look into opening up another one near Uxbridge to help control the crowding.

Negative experience: The staff are exceptional and very friendly and gym layout is amazing. I am hoping the management at stouffville goodLife could look into having the men’s washroom cleaned regularly (toilets, stalls, showers). It’s often quite gross and unhygienic for your male members. If it ever is cleaned it usually not a great job. seem to also regularly be out of soap in showers and toilet paper.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience signing up with this gym. Sanjeevan was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and charming. As a woman it may be intimidating walking into a gym, but he spoke with confidence, and made me feel comfortable by showing me the ropes. I was unsure of some of the equipment , but he went above and beyond taking the time to educate me on the mechanics of the equipment, and what muscle it engages

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a clean gym with up to date equipment this is it. Staff are very professional, easy to get a hold of and talk to. The vibe is friendly and motivating to work out. Having the astroturf with the 2 sleds are a gem.

Negative experience: Honestly I’m not usually one to complain but my experience at GoodLife stouffville has given me a few things I want the owners and employees and people thinking of joining to realize. The gym is extremely busy practically all hours. It looks to me that memberships are being grossly over sold even to people even out of town commuting to this location as it is newer, succeeding the gym’s capacity and even parking lot capacity. I struggle to even find a parking spot even in the extra back lot at 9:30 pm on even just Mondays and all afternoon evenings. A one hour work out turns into an over two hour workout because every machine and equipment is being used with multiple people waiting for it. This frustration is demotivating trying to go to the gym, especially considering that I am paying for this membership. I feel as though there should be some kind of membership limit In place so one person cancels another person joins just to prevent the overcrowding, so that every member has an equally productive and positive gym experience.

Fantastic experience: This gym has a great variety of machines and equipment to use for all exercises and I’ve been enjoying it for the past few years but especially more now after having a personal trainer for a few months! My trainer Carl really helped me learn what I needed to do for my specific goals and that I could push myself a lot harder than I was. I would highly recommend getting a trainer even for a little bit because they are so friendly and you’ll learn a lot to continue by yourself! (Definitely request Carl, he’s amazing)

Negative experience: I've been a GoodLife member for about 7 years, and I'll be honest, it feels as if the quality of the gym has been steadily decreasing year by year. Every year the cost of the membership increases yet the number of services we are eligible for decreases (i.e no longer having access to towel service, fitness classes or the mind den without paying into the more expensive membership plan). And at this particular location, there always seems to be a new machine requiring maintenance, that will sit there untouched for weeks on end. I know I'm only one person, but seriously considering not renewing my membership after this. With that being said, the staff there are exceptional, always friendly and willing to lend a helping hand. I have had only positive experiences with the staff, but the previously mentioned takes away from the gym experience unfortunately.

Negative experience: Management refused my request to remove my debit card from a family members account. I shouldn’t need permission to stop paying for someone else’s membership.

Positive experience: The gym is fine, the change rooms are not clean at all. Everything has to be touched l, no sensors and they are not cleaned like they should be.

Negative experience: My wife was notified that Yoga classes had started back up, so she called to book one. She was asked to call back and that her membership was on hold but would be reactivated. 2 days later when she called back she was told her membership had expired, not on hold, and would have to pay for the classes. She could not get a straight answer from 3 different people she spoke to, and of course there was no manager available. You would think after over a year and a half being shut down they would put customer service before profit and take my wife's situation more seriously, and not give her mixed messages on her membership. Extremely disappointing that no one seemed to know what the protocols were for unused portions for memberships that were paid in full.

Negative experience: Went and signed up again since the start of the pandemic, was talking to the associate about my workout schedule (mostly nights 9:30 or later) and that I like GoodLife for the towel service. he signed me up, Didn’t tell me what package or what amenities that were included in the deal, or that the towel service ends an hour before closing at 10pm After going in the other night after work and finding out about the new policies I came in the following morning to get a refund. I was told the package that I had doesn’t include towel service.. Loved the gym before the pandemic, but between the services ending at 10pm and not being able to use a water fountain, it’s not worth the $60+ a month anymore
Positive experience: Staff are fantastic.... each on of them, they are personable, helpful and they encourage everyone. Most are very knowledgeable in various health methods and always willing to help. Its two stories, clean 99% of the time, its a decent gym. The only reason it loses a star... the excessive dropping of weights by people who can't lift them properly, and forget about routine around 430pm-7pm Monday and Tuesday, to many people, not enough machines; cables, or various (more commonly used) weights. If I could give a half star I'd say 4.5/5

Fantastic experience: Great environment! Clean, well kept gym. Very friendly staff and trainers. I always feel encouraged and respected every morning that I come to the gym. Also, Janet’s Body Pump class at 6:15am mon/wed is so so good! She is fantastic and leads you through a killer workout.

Fantastic experience: The staff are very friendly and helpful! And tbh the regulars here that I run into during my late night workouts are very nice. If you also have anxiety I definitely recommend evenings after like 9pm, it’s usually nice and dead. The staff were very friendly about helping me ease into the environment as well! They are very welcoming or at least have been for me! Idk about these other sus reviews lmao.

Fantastic experience: It’s a really nice gym and it’s one of the newer GoodLife clubs so all the machines are in great condition. The staff are also really helpful and have excellent customer service. Hopefully they go back to 24/7 hours of operation soon!

Fantastic experience: Great gym. I have been a GoodLife member for 20 years at various locations. I particularly like this location and the people that work here. Dani at the front desk always has such a positive attitude and Rohan the Head Trainer (I’m not sure his exact title) is the most social and subsequently busiest trainer I have seen at any gym. The men’s change room is by far the cleanest of any of the locations I have attended.

Fantastic experience: I got a membership today at this location and was nervous because I had a poor experience with customer service at another gym in stouffville but GoodLife was incredible!! Mike helped me choose a plan suited to my needs as a student and made the experience so enjoyable!! Everyone working at this location is extremely kind to a newcomer! Thanks so much Mike :)

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the nicest GoodLife locations I've been to in the city. Very creative entrance and layout. This place has all the machines you could need for the average lifter. Definitely would be going back if it wasn't so far from me

Hi there, we definitely understand that getting access to the club these days, may be harder for more restricted areas. We hope to allow letting more members in to use the club as soon as possible, when it is safe to do so! Positive experience: The gym is good but the app is horrible,always slow and not working most of the time.
Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality I really enjoyed the Zumba classes with Shirley Yang. Her energy is contagious and her choreography is a lot of fun. I will definitely go back to her classes once it is safe to resume.
