Negative experience: Depuis toujours, ce gym n’avait pas de machine abducteur/adducteur. Ils ont fini par s’en procurer: deux pièces d’antiquité de 1969, avec une ergonomie et un ressenti absolument pourris. Vous êtes sérieux ?? Le point fort de ce gym, c’est l’épicerie de l’autre côté de la rue.
Negative experience: I've been holding a membership there since 2020. I was verbally attacked and made fun of by someone waiting to use a machine there, when the gym was almost empty! When I told the clerk and the managers, they just asked one of the guy's friends to tell him to calm down, not taking any action or responsibility themselves or remotely caring. I don't feel like going there and i've been too stressed and scared to go back, fearing the same aggressive person would jump at me for using a machine he wanted to use. From what the receptionists said, it appears this person is usually like this to everyone, and it's not the first instance it happens. they wouldn't cancel my membership or offer me a refund, so I'm forced to pay for it despite not feeling safe to go there. even after all of this, they call me every week to ask me to renew...
Positive experience: Personnel très gentil. Équipement adéquat. Bel emplacement. Un seul problème, mais de taille: la musique est BEAUCOUP TROP FORTE! Je pense maintenant terminer mon abonnement après 4 années. Dommage.

Fantastic experience: Très belle succursale de N+. Petite mais bien aménagée, la section cardio et abdos juste en face des fenêtres qui donnent sur le rue Mont-Royal. La clientèle est respectueuse et sans prétention. Le point fort de cette succursale est son personnel, souriant et courtois.

Negative experience: J’y suis allé cette semaine pour faire un essai gratuit. En arrivant, on m’a fait remplir un formulaire et je me suis assise avec un des employés qui m’a posé quelques questions sur mes objectifs et ma routine d’entraînement. Je lui explique que je m’entraîne depuis plus d’un an et je que je suis satisfaite de mes résultats, mais que je cherche seulement à rester en forme. Il commence alors à m’expliquer comment je perds mon temps avec mes exercices, qu’ils ne servent à rien et que je ne verrais jamais de progrès. Tout cela alors que je n’ai pas du tout demandé son avis, je trouve qu’il aurait du se garder une gêne. Encore un exemple « mansplanning » dans le domaine de la musculation. Je suis certaine que si j’étais un homme, il n’aurait rien dit de négatif sur ma façon de m’entraîner. Je ne retournerai pas. C’est assez le sexisme en 2024…

Positive experience: The equipment is decent. Some of it is old but it's still maintained okay and generally quite clean. The benches are quite close quarters which is a shame at some times of the day, especially if someone is wearing dirty clothes, but it's generally not too bad. It's quite small but in a very densely populated area so when it's packed, it's packed. If it were bigger it'd get another star. Staff is nice.

Negative experience: Gym propre et bien placé. Mais il faudrait repenser la quantité et disposition de certains équipements on est toujours dans les pieds de quelqu'un d'autre, c'est pénible. Très peu de place pour circuler ou pratiquer au final. Pour le prix, mon expérience en tant que membre est décevante actuellement. Une boîte à suggestion serait la bienvenue.

Positive experience: It is nice gym and is clean. It has plenty of equipments, but sometimes it gets really busy in the evenings. The staff are friendly and helpful. I wish they closed a bit later at night.

Negative experience: Vraiment trop de monde... jai du changer ma routine à deux reprises parce que les machines étaient prises pendant beaucoup trop longtemps. Peu d'éthique de la part des membres... énormément de machines avaient encore leurs poids non enlevé après utilisation. On ne sait pas si elle est utilisée ou non parce qu'il y a plusieurs membres qui n'utilisent pas de serviette (signe universel qu'une machine est prise) La seule fois où j'ai tenté d'utiliser une machine sans serviette sur elle, on se fait approché par un "euuh c'est parce que j'utilise la machine" .

Negative experience: Autant le personnel en salle est sympathique, autant j'attendais mieux du service après vente. Suite à une fraude sur ma carte, j'ai dû renouveler ma carte de crédit. Mon prélèvement a été refusé. Plutôt que de me contacter, j'ai été facturé de frais. Enre temps j'ai répondu par courriel et laissé deux messages, aucune réponse.

Negative experience: All gyms I have been to have offered an option to opt out of a membership by paying a fee. Once you sign, if you don’t go you are stuck with a prison sentence of 1 year at this gym paying 50$ per month. I would not recommend this place either as it has lack of variety in equipment. Good place to get started I guess

Negative experience: The gym is clean, but the cardio equipment is not great. They only have two proper spin bikes and they are very old and poorly maintained. However, they have a number of the larger stationary bikes, but these are not good for proper cardio sessions

Negative experience: I purchased a year-long membership 9 months ago and they won't let me cancel my membership even though I moved out of my flat and I am no longer close to a Nautilus gym. I know have to continue paying for the 3 months left to my membership when they know I can't access the service anymore. This is non-sense and people should be able to cancel their subscription for good reasons with proof. I used to like that gym but the customer service has ruined my experience. i feel robbed as I'm paying for nothing.

Negative experience: I had a negative experience with this club: I moved to Montreal for 1 year in the fall of 2020, and signed up for a 1-year membership at the club. I left Montreal in September 2021, as planned. After leaving Montreal, I discovered that my account has been getting charged by the club. Their argument is that, due to the multiple COVID-related closures of the club, they are authorized to charge me 26 bimonthly payments, despite the fact that the one year calendar period from the onset of my membership has passed. In fact, they are still charging me, and it is now May 2022! The customer service agents at the club have dug in and have expressed zero understanding for my predicament. These are clearly unfair business practices, and I am surprised that they are permitted in Canada.

Negative experience: This gym has outdated equipment. Staff at front desk has been rude to me and I was lied to when signing up so that I would subscribe to their gym. Went back on their word shortly after. Small gym that doesn't offer much.

Negative experience: The machine room is always crwowed and there are only few classes, and are really mediocre. Plus the most experienced staff is not very nice. Summarizing It seems they exclussively look for money.

Negative experience: It was a terrible experience and a huge headache to deal with. I signed up to get back in shape so I just wanted a regular gym membership to ease back into things. They basically won't let you do this, they push their personal trainers, group classes and nutritionists on you and they don't tell you what's in the fine print. I tried cancelling the training program THE NEXT DAY because I realized I had signed up for something I didn’t want. I was met with two rude managers who told me they couldn't do anything about it. Because I was within 30 days, I had to call headquarters and they cancelled the program but were unable to cancel the gym membership. I was harassed from that point on, it was so frustrating and such a negative experience that I signed up to another gym. I wasted a lot money but I was never going to go back to that place. After I stopped going, they started calling, multiple times and left messages on my phone even after I told them to stop contacting me. They would ask me when I was coming back, if/when I was going to renew my membership or try out a new program. I was being harassed. This place just wants your money and couldn't care less about your well-being. Also, they renevated the place and the layout is terrible, super cramped and small. I like the gym I go to now, they leave me the hell alone!!!

Negative experience: Pour une entreprise qui offre du bien-être , vous devriez être plus responsable et veiller a respecter le bien-être de vos voisins. Votre système de ventilation produit une nuisance sonore extreme 24h/24 et 7 jours/7 et nous empêche de dormir et ce depuis près d'une année. Mes enfants sont sans cesse fatigués car il n'y a pas une nuit ou ils ne se reveillent pas a cause du bruit. Honte a vous!

Positive experience: Ce gym est trop petit pour le nombre de membres qui le fréquente. Ce n'est vraiment pas le meilleur de leur réseau. Ça vaut la peine de se déplacer vers celui de Saint-Léonard à la place.

Positive experience: Très bonne salle, des machines de qualités ainsi que des cours bien faits et une partie du staff bien sympathique, rien à redire à ce niveau. En revanche, ce n'est pas le cas au niveau commercial de l'entreprise, j'ai dû recommander ma carte de membre à cause d'une perte et on m'a demandé 17,50$ pour une simple carte de membre alors qu'en plus j'ai renouvelé mon abonnement il y a un mois ! Pour un abonnement à ce prix c'est bien dommage, pour essayer de nous vendre plusieurs services il y a du monde, mais pour un geste commercial personnes ! En bref une très bonne salle, mais pas du tout d'esprit commerçant, même les banques en ont plus !
Positive experience: C'est pas le pire, c'est pas le mieux. Les douches et vestiaires auraient bien besoin d'un rafraîchissement, de même que certains appareils pourraient être changés... C'est également le seul endroit où je vois des gens aller habillés, et en chaussures, dans le sauna avant ou après leur entraînement pour faire des étirements. Je trouve que c'est tout sauf hygiénique ! Sinon le personnel est sympathique et disponible.

Negative experience: Gym is cool, Stuardo is an amazing trainer but the manager of the place keept harassing me because I was wearing stringer tanktops. She said to me I was not the right client she was looking for. I changed area because it was really annoying. She was saying thats the rule but in every other Nautilus they never said a word about stringer tanktops.
Negative experience: This post is quite long, but if you are reading these reviews because you actually want to know what this gym is like, you will get the full picture. This branch recently moved, and while the location is new and renovated, the gym itself is definitely not. The administration had neglected the upkeep of the equipment in the old premises, and most of it was just moved to the new space. I was actually told before the move that they do not regularly maintain the equipment and count on members to report breakdowns and are very slow to act on repairs, if at all. The new space is smaller and the layout is so awkward and poorly planned that it makes me strongly question the competence of the "designer" or contractor, or whoever made the decisions on the placement of the equipment. Walking through the space is like navigating a maze, and the air circulation is poor, with some corners noticeably warmer. Two sets of nine TV screens mounted in front of the cardio machines with a large one in the middle broadcasting Nautilus ads. Out of the nine, one is playing Nautilus ads, two are the same channel, and two have defective audio, just static and interference. The group class schedule is pitiful, and the courses lack variety and are inconsistent and sparse. They blame the lack of classes to the lack of participation, but people stopped going because the classes are an afterthought, and lack the professionalism that a gym of this "caliber" should be offering. The group workout room is down one floor at ground level, and is a narrow space with small windows, giving it a basement feel, and the weight rack sounds like it's about to crash down with every jump. The locker rooms are still a work in progress after three months. The showers have no water pressure, there is no shelf in the stall for soap or shampoo, and the curtains have not yet been properly installed and keep tearing or falling down and are not replaced. They have only been in the new premises for a few months and the lack of upkeep that was so obvious in the old space has started to show. Can you get a workout at this gym - yes. Can you get an equally good workout at a gym that charges half the membership fees or less - emphatic yes! Nautilus is banking on an old idea of loyalty and reputation that just doesn't hold up in these competitive times. They say that their high fees are due the superior quality of their equipment and course offerings, and this is definitely not the case. They overcharge for a basic service that is lacking, and promote only the extras that bring in more money, like personal trainers and semi-private group sessions. What all of these details and complaints add up to is a total lack of attention and customer care which extends not only to this branch, but the company as a whole, as even complaints to their head office are ignored. Do yourself a big favour and take your business elsewhere!
Negative experience: The new space is absolutely terrible. Whoever designed it should take a minute to think if interior design is really what they should be doing. Its cluttered and cramped, dark and cold, the lockers are tiny, they removed the sauna, showers have no pressure and flimsy curtains. The workout equipment is old, the staff looks depressed, this gym is an absolute mess and there aren’t enough plates. The old space had old equipment but it had charm and good airflow. Now that that’s gone, this gym is definitely the worst one in the Plateau now, especially considering the price.

Thanks again David for your help, passion and of course your professionalism. The Plateau location is clean and rarely crowded. The only downside is quality of lockers in changing rooms, they’re outdated. Otherwise all cool
