Fantastic experience: Best gym I've ever been to - super clean, extremely friendly staff, and motivating environment. Love the smaller gym feel, and have access to so much in this smaller space - awesome gym and staff, can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: Update May 28 2024 After my first Google review that I did one month ago about the equipment that was in bad shape, this is my update. they got everything fixed - the machines, the weights, everything is in perfect working order now. It's important to give credit where it's due, not just complain. Those guys running the place really know what they're doing - they got it all ship-shape in no time—props to the gym staff for keeping things in such great condition. ******************************** This gym is quite expensive than others, and a lot of the equipment is in bad shape. They need to do maintenance urgently!!!

Fantastic experience: Great boutique gym. Has a variety of equipment. Not a huge space but plenty of room for those that are there. People are typically mindful and respectful of others in the space and they put their equipment away - which makes the difference.

Negative experience: If you are traveling I would not suggest to consider Momentum. On Google they post the information that: "Travel Guest Membership Are you visiting the Hamilton area? We offer a short term membership which gives you 24/7 access to our facilities.", but in reality it's closed. So, in order to get there you need to be a member. I wish they would have better information to save peoples time from making a trip to the gym just to be told that it's closed.

Fantastic experience: This has been the best gym I’ve ever been to. I’ve been with Good life, crunch and fit for less. Although the other gyms were more convenient; they were such a pain. The machines were old, gross or didn’t work at all. Momentum is a great gym if you’re looking for a clean, well maintained and not overly crowded space. Tyler Ouwendyk Made it very easy for me to sign up and canceling is extremely easy. I didn’t have to feel stuck paying a cancellation fee (aka GoodLife). Price is fair and NO hidden fees. Overall this gym is wonderful and stress free. I will recommend to friends/ family and if I ever move back; I’ll surely sign up again

Negative experience: 215$ for signup ? Must be a joke! Plus 58$ per month?! From your website you don’t seem to have a pool or a sauna so for what should we pay this crazy prices ? Just wow !!

Fantastic experience: Thank you for the new water fountain in addition to the existing bottle refill station! It adds to many great features of this facility. I hope it will reduce the use of single use water bottles by members.

Negative experience: The Gym has pros and cons, Clean: No: it may seem this gym is clean but evidently leg press (Band-Aid on the floor), deadlift squat ( insects dead) so more. The low lights and aesthetic made it look unnoticeable that how ill-maintained this place is. Only the spots are clean, when members wipe out some touched surface. Update: it has been improved. Congested space: the strength area is overcrowded, where the chances of injury are even more. On the contrary, the entrance is empty with a treadmill that shows off as most important machine. It needs a new arrangement setting. Haunted house: some hours with the downtown location, it looks like a haunted house and unsafe. Nobody to seek help, what if anything bad happens. No security. Sometimes, even No to One members present. No customer service. Once you have paid then you are your own. Individual workout: if visiting at very odd hours then a person can leverage the benefit of working out without any excuses. Because, sometimes machines are busy and you have to wait or skip it. Plan and memership benefit: the membership has no kit of instructions and offers. Certain things are to assume, yes ( shower unlikely used), personal 2 training sessions ( one lasted for 15min ONLY) . Update: session should be 60min and compensated. Reason for continuing membership : paid for membership fees ( feel stuck), monthly payments are authorized and location is walking distance. If Crunch, GoodLife fitness didn't have close there nearby location, then this gym wouldn't have gotten the benefit of that. I found it expensive compared to the benefits that this gym provides.

Fantastic experience: A very unique gym. Open 24/7 for the convenience of everyone. The ambiance and environment make the fitness a different experience. The equipment is also of great quality.

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym I have been to. It's quiet and welcoming. Tons of resources to help you get started and to keep motivated. The trainers are so kind and helpful and Tyler, the owner is one of a kind. Beyond supportive in whatever health journey you are on.

It’s clean- very clean- the staff are amazing- friendly and make working out fun- well, we don’t laugh the whole time but we do laugh. They have great equipment and the trainers are top notch! Negative experience: In short, it’s a ghost place, hard to get hold of people, and cramped space with little to no windows. Don’t know why someone would give 5 stars. My guess either it’s fake or bought!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym , close to where I live. Great environment. For me , it’s better than GoodLife and all other places. Hope it can build more locations.

Negative experience: There's only one squat rack at the Hamilton location while about 50 other types of aerobic workout machines stand empty, doesnt even have a machine for back extensions. Not sure the reasoning behind downplaying free weights so much but its clear that if you like lifting heavy things you should steer clear of this place, especially for the price. Aside from all that, extremely its cramped inside, I find myself in a tight corner with like 4 other people while most of the gym stays unoccupied. Real big brain gym design here. EDIT: Forgot to mention there are also no bench presses here, you have to take up the only squat rack. YEP. EDIT 2: I can see that they've responded to my review with some excuses. Choosing to only provide a single squat rack and no bench presses is a choice, not a result of being a small business. This response seems more like a way to ignore feedback instead of allowing members to be " the heartbeat of everything they do".

Fantastic experience: Momentum fitness has been a huge part of my journey to health. I am truly grateful for their personal approach and positive energy. It is a clean and well kept gym and you will not encounter any pressure from staff into buying into fancy supplements or anything ( like some orher gyms) You go to this gym and do your thing in a cool, encouraging environment. Equipment is comprehensive and the space is not crowded, areas are well ventilated. Customer support is super responsive and understanding of individual needs and situations. I highly recommend Momentum for anyone looking for a free-to-be/no-judgement place to workout and get healthier. :)

Negative experience: It's a no for me. I was left very disappointed. I was told I would be given a routine through an app that would include the aspects I said I wanted to focus on and I would get two free training sessions. He signed me up but I had to ask him repeatedly for the routine, I never got the training sessions, he ignored my communications but was quick to respond when I said I wanted to cancel. Yes it's clean and tiny and cute and makes you feel like you're getting all hot and sweaty with strangers in your basement but what about customer service. It wasn't there. I think he was more interested in signing up a new member than making sure I could meet my goals here as the equipment I wanted to use isn't at this gym, they only have a few things, so make sure you do your own research first. Absolutely it can be great for some people, but it's a no for me. ** And there is no parking.

Fantastic experience: I had such a wonderful experience while at Momentum. It was always so clean, I loved that it was open 24/7 and the momentum fitness team was really kind and welcoming. The gym is also very aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend this gym over all others if you are in the Hamilton area. If I ever move back to Hamilton I am definitely rejoining! I've been a member at other gyms but this has been my favourite - 10/10!

Fantastic experience: I think we've all grown accustomed to being weary of gyms - whether its membership scams, faculty equipment - coaches that play on the anxieties of people with health and body concerns. And as a former Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer - I am used to this from both sides! When I reached out to the team at Momentum, I expected much the same but recieved a completely different reception! (It was actually pretty shocking and I waited a couple of days to see if the shoe would drop...nope - its legit). Everyone I've come into contact with so far has mastered the art of timely communication, active listening, seeking to understand and being sincerely personalized with options that work for me. It's been incredible to deal with a facility like this - especially when you usually get the exact opposite. Moreover, the facility itself - makes you feel like you're a bougie celebrity working out in your state of the art home gym. They've created an atmosphere that is truly inclusive and non-intimidating - while also having up-to-date equipment (Jacob's ladder and Battle ropes anyone?). Finally, but perhaps most importantly (IMO) - it's 24 freaking 7! The ability to fit a workout into your existing life at a time that works for you is the key to sustainability and the thing I most appreciate. I could go on - but this post is already longer than most people read. :)

Fantastic experience: Momentum Fitness is a fantastic gym! It is always super clean and safe, taking all Covid-19 protocols very seriously to keep everyone healthy. The owners and staff are extremely nice and professional, always offering new programs to members and being extremely accommodating. I highly recommend Momentum! Its the perfect place to work out over lunch hour, or before/after work if you work close-by... It's fast to get in and out, lots of room, super clean facilities!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member since moving to Hamilton and am only leaving because I'm moving to another city. It's always been a great gym, never busy, responsive to requests from members (eg once asked for a kind of dumbbell they didn't have and they ordered one), was really great and accommodating during covid, etc. All around a great gym.

Cleanliness in a gym means alot and this is by far the cleanest gym I have ever experienced. Machines are always working and it's overall a great experience! Keep up the gold standard guys!

Fantastic experience: Really nice gym. I was in town for the weekend and the owner gave me a good rate. Customer service was phenomenal. Received quick responses and the staff was polite. The gym has really nice lighting and atmosphere. If i lived in the area this would definitely be my home gym.

Fantastic experience: We have used both gym locations (George St and Dundas) and find them both excellent. The equipment is very good, there's lots of space, it's always clean, staff are responsive and knowledgeable, access is easy, and it's an all-round excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of working out at both locations. The downtown Hamilton venue on George St. is located in the beautiful heritage Textile Building and the Dundas gym is in the formerly restored Post Office heritage building. They are inviting spaces with great character. Both facilities are clean with well maintained equipment. They offer a variety of cardio options that include treadmills, ellipticals, stairs climbers, stationary and spin bikes along with free weights and other training equipment. Since it is a 24/7 boutique gym I find that it provides a relaxed atmosphere with no overcrowding. The owner of Momentum is Tyler and he is personable and attentive to the needs of his members. His positive energy and above attributes are reflected through his employees. Tyler and his team do a superb job in promoting a healthy lifestyle through exercise, nutrition and other holistic measures. Proper protocols have been implemented as per the directives issued by Public Health to manage the pandemic virus. As a result I feel it to be a safe space. I would recommend this gym for an overall great workout. Momentum is a gem of a gym.

Fantastic experience: The gym is absolutely fantastic. You feel secure, safe and it’s all around super clean. Everything you need at really good price and it’s 24x7 which makes it accessible according to your schedule. It’s surprising at this price you get a lot more than some ordinary gym service which are expensive. Momentum Fitness is really great gym to consider.

Fantastic experience: This gym is very clean, spacious and the staff here is very friendly. It’s much better than most of the gyms I’ve been to in the past. There are maintaining proper protocol and sanitary conditions during this pandemic and I felt quite safe while using the gym. At one time, not more than 8 people are allowed in the gym, which helps maintaining social distancing. Be assured that you will be able to work out without any covid stress here.

Fantastic experience: A 5 star boutique gym catering to 200 members by appointment 24/7 . Very clean, well spaced equipment, lots of open areas. Equipment ranging from treadmills, ellipticals, cable and smith machines. Small locker room, but with a max limit of 8 persons any combination of male and female more than adequate. Shower provides body soap and shampoo but bring your own towels. And masks when entering and leaving...2 locations in Hamilton, Dundas and George st.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy being a member of Momentum; I love the personal atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, the facilities are always clean, and the personal training is tough but encouraging. During Covid they have been very accommodating, and I have been taking full advantage of their wonderful online classes while I haven't been able to physically go to the gym.

I signed up a couple days before the most recent lockdown hit again and he refunded my fee in full. Thank you for being a gym of integrity.. can’t wait to get back in there.

Fantastic experience: The George St Momentum is a clean, beautiful gym that I enjoyed using pre-pandemic. When gyms were forced to shut down in 2020, Tyler was a huge factor in helping me maintain my fitness goals (and even working harder than before!) He built a great online community, offering free classes, and put me in touch with one of their PTs who I met in the park for one-on-one sessions as I wasn't comfortable being back in-studio during the short period this was allowed. Even after I decided not to continue my membership (I don't work close enough to the studio anymore), he checked in and provided various options for me without being pushy. Really appreciate Tyler and his team and would recommend this gym to anyone!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I've been to! -Always clean and well maintained, no matter what time of the day. -Other members are always friendly. Everyone cleans up after themselves and very polite. -Multiple location and 24/7 is a huge benefit. Plus the gym is never overcrowded. When I first moved to Hamilton and compared the different gyms in the area, Momentum was at the top of my list.

Negative experience: This is not a gym but adult Daycare Hall...has no reception no office a ghost place has no entrance has no one to talk to on-site. There is no gym in Hamilton except the one in Ancaster Snart centre. This is my second visit again no one answered my call the number on display outside this so called gym. The owner responded to all reviews but not to mine. Why did you put a sign.board saying call us 24/7 while the owner never bother to respond . Should I contact CTV local news for this dilemma to know where is the owner and if he watching people outside the gate and discriminate amongst people whom to respond and whom not

Fantastic experience: Great experience all around. Craig & Cole were responsive and great to work with and the space was absolutely spotless. All the equipment i needed for a great workout was there and i enjoyed using the newer concept equipment that I do not have access to elsewhere. Well done !!

Fantastic experience: A GREAT GYM EXPERIENCE! I trained at Momentum Fitness (#10 George Street) as an out-of-town guest. This is a "boutique" gym as reflected in the cordial and agreeable ambiance. You will not be exposed to members who grunt, scream or drop weights. This club is not crowded. It is a most suitable gym for those new to fitness or intimidated by the Big Box Gym; it has a very non-threatening and welcoming environment. It has a distinct community feel to it. I had occasion to speak with both of the owners and the manager, all of who seemed very committed to make certain I had a good experience even though I was just passing through town. The facility is very clean and the equipment is in good repair. There is a Brita Hydration Station and an abundance of wet wipe dispensers to clean the machines. There are a handful of lockers available but the atmosphere at this club left me with the confidence that they were unnecessary—other members simply left their belongings hanging in the change rooms, leaving the lockers empty. The music is present but not over-whelming and fades quickly into the background once you start training. My visit to this club was a terrific experience and look forward to returning one day for another visit.

Fantastic experience: I work for the PGA Tour and spent this last week in Hamilton for the RBC Canadian. I reached out to Craig (The Owner) to inquire about using the gym while I was in town, and when I explained what I was there for, he responded without hesitation that he would be able to accommodate me. He met me at the gym 15 minutes later and took the time to show me around the gym and everything it offers. Not only is it an exceptional gym, the service and hospitality provided was amazing! If you are thinking about joining a new gym or just looking for a quality gym for your stay in Hamilton I highly recommend Momentum Fitness! Looking forward to going back next year!

Fantastic experience: A fantastic environment and customer support! The environment is clean and spacious, the equipment is new and easy to use, and the gym is never over crowded. The personalised exercise plan was clear and included video tutorials. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic experience: I've been going regularly since October. All around great experience. Well maintained facilities and comfortable atmosphere. 24/7 access applies to all locations. Personal-training and group classes available. Capped memberships mean the gym is never crowded. No crazy contract lock-in. Boutique-style is rather charming. Appreciate the little touches like the waterfall sinks and shampoo/body wash in the shower (the water is consistently HOT! :) ) TL;DR: I'm sold on this gym.

Fantastic experience: The owner of Momentum Fitness granted access to this amazing space during a week visit to Hamilton. Momentum has everything a serious athlete needs to stay in top form as well as some more exotic equipment that challenges and appeals to all levels. The vibe is chill and relaxed and the physical space is really well laid out. Washrooms are clean and well appointed. Really appreciated the generosity of access and welcoming atmosphere. Going to suggest my home gym get some of the same equipment. Thank you for making the visit extraordinary.

I've never had a gym membership before, and given my lack of experience I was a little nervous about the idea, but I couldn't imagine a better place to start my journey! The atmosphere is relaxed, the gym is super clean, and the staff are very friendly. 24/7 access is a huge plus, and so far it has never been very busy. Highly recommended!

I'm not a class person, never have been, but thats all changed in the past two weeks. Frid St, run by Brian, is an incredible class. Never the same, always chopping and changing, and always enjoyable. Momentum can't be beat for the experience or price in Hamilton. Seriously, look no further.

Positive experience: Good, clean gym. A wide variety of equipment and is open 24 hours which is convenient. Main reasons we switched was it is very small so when it gets busy it's very crowded. The showers are just a curtain in the bathroom which is very unprivate most times I wouldn't even use them cause I was nervous........
