Positive experience: Clean facility, great layout. Busy location.

Positive experience: Crowded 5-7 but good other times

Negative experience: Be carefull.before subscribing, they will keep charging you even if you cancel before the renewal, I called 4 days before the date and they said we already tool the money out you can't cancel

Negative experience: Went to brookside and they told me this location had the assault bike, came here and it was broken and I was informed it would be weeks until they fixed it. I literally only use the assault bike when I come to GoodLife nothing else and every other location I’ve ever been to has had multiple except in Fredericton. They told me Fredericton was a small town (it’s the capital of New Brunswick) and that all the treadmills were ten years old. When I asked who could I talk to- to inquire for more than one assault bike in all of Fredericton they basically told me good luck. So now I’m without a workout for weeks, I train mma and the assault bike is the biggest part of my cardio. Severely disappointed to say the least, two of the staff couldn’t have cared less and one at least humoured me but overall my only two trips to GoodLife in Fredericton ( the first brookside) and now here have been just disappointing and dreadful. Basically paying membership for a sauna now. Do better GoodLife Fredericton.

Negative experience: Sunday June 29 supposed be open at 7 am roughly about 35 people waiting not open at 7:50 and not first time this has happened on Sunday

Negative experience: No employee came to open the gym. 30 ppl sitting in the parking lot waiting. Real incompetence.

Fantastic experience: I recently had to cancel my membership myself. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. While the gym itself looked relatively clean at first glance, the equipment was a different story. The dumbbells and barbells were not clean. The staff didn’t help improve the situation either. They seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting members. Even the basic supply of tissue paper was lacking. If you found the tissue, the dustbin was always full. To top it off, the toilets were often dirty and lacked basic supplies. This is something you’d expect to be taken care of in any fitness facility, so it was really disappointing to see it neglected here. Overall, the combination of unclean and poorly maintained equipment, unprofessional staff, and dirty toilets led me to cancel my membership. The worst part is there is no other good gym in the city. So the people doesn't seem to have any other option. Hope they read my review and come up with solutions that can enhance the gym experience.

Positive experience: I’d like to highlight this three star review is not based on the amazing staff and corporate prices. We’ve been to several GoodLife gyms throughout New Brunswick including Moncton and Saint John. It is evident that GoodLife facilities in Fredericton use older cardio equipment. Inadequate building maintenance of the Fredericton South location is also apparent i.e., Previous water leaks throughout, showers water pressure is terrible and profound floor drain odors.

Negative experience: Just leave the door open if no one at front dest at night.

Negative experience: Completely ignores harassment complaints. Abysmal management. Women, please go somewhere that will hear your concerns and advocate for your safety. So disappointing.

Positive experience: It’s a decent gym but I really wish they would bring back 24/7. I know personally, I’d rather be at the gym on a Friday and Saturday night instead of the club and they say it’s based off check-in and demand but how are we supposed to check in if it’s closed. nobody’s gonna go 20 minutes before it closes on a Saturday. There’s no opportunity for people to check in Therefore, it looks like there’s no demand. Personally, I’m paying $55 biweekly and I don’t even get to use the gym more than three or four days a week because I work late and I know others are in the same position. They could either charge less for their membership or start opening again 24/7 again I feel like the numbers would speak for themselves.

Fantastic experience: I was there over the holidays. I needed some specific help and Nick and the whole staff were amazing. Thanks for making the Fredericton Goodlife so welcoming. Great job!!

Negative experience: Today I cancelled my membership. In anger and frustration. I am a father of beautiful daughter, I am the grandfather of an amazing granddaughter—and I’m a retired CAF Veteran. I’m angry because young women are not safe to workout in the Fredericton Uptown facility without sexual harassment! I’m frustrated because the management chooses to absolutely do nothing about it. I know of three young ladies (one being my daughter) that have filed written complaints to the management—a minimum of three written sexual harassment complaints have been submitted. Get this…in reference to the same middle aged creep. Young ladies—please heed my advice—find a gym that your safety matters. Four membership’s have been cancelled so far over the managements choice to do NOTHING…oh, except for, the middle aged creep gets to continue working out there with no repercussions. Please ladies…pause, and think about safety. Please pass along. Men!—Do better!

Negative experience: If you want to be treated like a number it's the place to go. I highly suggested local entrepreneurs instead of goodlife. Lots of other great places where you can get amazing workouts.

Fantastic experience: Employee Matt Gesner provided me with excellent customer service and insured I felt comfortable at the gym!

Positive experience: The staff are very friendly and helpful, but the cleanliness, layout and availability of male washrooms lowers my rating. Currently one of two faucets work. The hand dryers and paper towel dispensers are crammed with the only urinal in the corner. The space likely limits the club design, but cleanliness can always be addressed. Staff are willing to help and greet with smiles at the door.

Positive experience: It's a really nice gym for beginners and intermediate lifters and will serve the needs of most people. My only issue is the "24 hour" sign on the building. Its been a long time since they reopened after covid and they still haven't fixed their weekend hours.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out and doing personal training with Jared at this gym for over 2 years . My experience with personal training has been amazing. I have made huge strides with my health because Jared took a chance at training me when I needed the help the most . Jared has helped me build so much confidence in the gym . Going from a non lifter to a competitive lifter in 2 years I have worked with him. The fact that they have their own section for the personal training made it way easier to want to workout when starting out . You don’t have to be shy because this gym took the time to give you a safe space to learn. Thank you Goodlife and thank you Jared for keeping me safe and helping me stay healthy! I’m excited to keep learning from Jared and making friends at Goodlife along the way !

Fantastic experience: Been there a few times now. Nice gym lots of equipment. Can get a bit busy but still very good.

Fantastic experience: I'm a complete newb (basically human moss) and I changed gyms to here from the Y because a few friends go here. Grabbed a few personal trainer sessions as well when I signed up. Totally worth the money, Kyle has been great and I've learned a ton in a short amount of time. Highly recommend it if you have no idea what you're doing like myself.

Positive experience: I really wish you would change your sign as your affiliation with 24 hour gym is very misleading. You are not open 24 hours and for the price of this membership I would expect more amenities.

Negative experience: payed 28 bucks taxes in for a day pass yesterday on Remembrance day. I came in because the base gym was closed and needed to get a workout in so i drove into Goodlife uptown as i normally do when the Base gym is closed for holidays. I usually pay the 15 bucks and carry on with life but 28 bucks is absolutely ridiculous for a workout! I understand they are trying to get more members but to gouge money from people is messed up. Next time the Base is closed ill be going elsewhere.

Positive experience: Really pricey for what it is. The crowd is kind of unfavorable; most of the time its crowded, and it seems to attract a lot of 'dudebros.' Additionally, they play like the same 6 songs over, and over, and OVER!

Negative experience: This has nothing to do with the staff or facility at any specific good life. I haven't had any issues with the employees, they have always been polite and helpful. I have an issue with the way they set up their memberships. I had a membership at good life but instantly regretted it when I realized it was a basically a cult to sign up for. I changed gyms shortly after, but wasn't able to cancel my good life account (which was ok) so I put it on hold and spent 5$ a month to keep a useless gym membership active. If I wanted to cancel I would have had to pay 100$ which was a bit ridiculous. After paying for my useless good life account for about half a year, without notice, they began charging me full price for my account and where taking out biweekly payments without any sort of contact to me. It frustrating knowing that I will never see that money again and I highly recommend you look for a gym who actually cares about there customers and employees (they have a good track record for screwing over their employees) and doesn't just want to soak as much money out of you as possible. I know I want get any compensation from this "mistake" because they don't care at all. I'm a lot happier at my new gym but this contract is still haunting me. Don't let there gym fool you, they don't care about you health or fitness, they care about you banking information and nothing else.

Positive experience: Awesome gym. Great variety of classes with amazing instructors. Gym could use an update... In the bigger cities they are very cool and modern but our freddy gym is always clean and you are always greeted with a smile. Terrible wifi service however... They finally got some privileges for members after a lot of hounding... but it only allows audio which isnt sufficient since a lot of workouts these days are online and require wifi. I've never had to wait for aa machine... Even during peak hours there are lots available. They recently put in a turf training area but the personal trainers are usually using it despite their "exclusive" area so there no place for members to do any really Hitt circuit etc.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. Gym is filled with a bunch of meat heads. I tired to get out of my contract near the end and all they did was cancel my request. Financially I've been struggling and even though They payment bounces I get hit with three withdrawls the next day so I have -200$ due to NSF fees and this happen every few months. Goodlife is ruining my life

Fantastic experience: Best goodlife in Fredericton, newly renovated Astro turf added as well and equipment, 4x squat racks as well as Two Leg press so makes Leg day way easier not having to wait for equipment, also has two CrossFit Squat racks and sock absorb floor.

Fantastic experience: They have finally added an eleiko bar and some bumper plates. This alone makes it one of my favorite places to go if you're an independent lifter and are above a basic level of fitness. There PT kind of needs to step up its game, seema very cookie cutter.

Positive experience: This place is super expensive for what it is. Get ready to pay anywhere between 45-70 dollars a month for your membership. Honestly, if there were any other gym in the uptown city area (that wasn't run on a total personal training concept) I'd probably be going there instead. However, it's also open 24 hours; they get a star added back for that.

Fantastic experience: Updated equipment and not overcrowded

Negative experience: I am very unhappy with the loss of the Hatha Yoga instructor at Goodlife. It was one of the most popular classes and life changing for many in the class. Andrea was an incredible instructor who ensured each participant maximized their ability. Despite numerous requests to have one more Hatha Yoga class added to the schedule ( including a petition) we now have NO Hatha Yoga class and lost an amazing instructor. Body Flow and other types of yoga do not work for many of us in the class. Bad decision Goodlife-everyone looses.
