Fantastic experience: I have been a client at HDF for a while and achieved several goals regarding desired body composition, nothing short of a miraculous transformation, thanks to Helen and Daphne. They are top-of-the-line coaches with decades of experience and truly care about their athletes. We are very fortunate to have a resource like them here in Edmonton. If you are looking to put on more muscle, lean out or even prep fora competition, then HDF is the place to go. Finding Helen and Daphne has been instrumental in my successes, and I have learned an incredible amount from both of them regarding approach to dieting and correct weightlifting form. Fantastic experience: Honestly such a clean and nice gym, and the owners take great care of the equipment. Helen and Daph are honest, knowledgeable and welcoming. I always feel at home. Helen does my prep, she tailors it to my needs and is always very attentive. Daph trains me and does my posing, she and always kicks my butt and I’m always satisfied with my workouts. They both want me to succeed and you can feel how invested they are. Just the best!!

Fantastic experience: Not a big place by any means, but despite that it's the nicest and cleanist gym in the city. The owners are great, and they definitely care about the place. It has equipment catered more to bodybuilding, and that's perfect for me. I would recommend it for sure.

Fantastic experience: Recently started coming here and have no complaints, the equipment is like new, the place is immaculately clean, and the two women that run it are shredded enough I would trust them to spot me any day. It’s also a bit of a hidden gem so there’s usually no more than two or three people around (no waiting and free reign on super sets)

Negative experience: Daphne Madigin and High Definition Fitness they like to rip people of their money. She has no business ethic and can go to any extent to satisfy their greed. I met Daphne on 22nd Feb 2020 and purchased their 6 months transformation plan which was priced at $1299 at that time. COVID hit the entire world in March and the businesses had to shut down.We mutually agreed to suspend the services and resume them when the situation eases up and we both feel comfortable. She asked me casually in June that will i like to start with my training and monitoring and just to clearly mention that she nowhere said that I will start losing my money if I don't join now. My dad is a cancer patient who was going under radiation therapy at that time, I had a newborn at my place and wasn't comfortable to join just yet. I asked her on sep 15 that can I join now as the situation is little under control at my place. She refused to give me anytime slot. I have a record of all this conversation still with me. When she refused to give me any time slot as per adjustment, I had to finally ask her to refund my money. She came back bluntly telling me that she was going to only refund me $233 from the $1299 that I paid her as I did not join back in June . She told me that she will deduct $600 because she provided me with a single meal plan and a training plan. We had agreed and she told me that their 6 month transformation plan is all about monitoring and providing with meal plans and training plans along the course. She refunded me only$ 233 out of $1299. No wonder I am going legal with this cheating. However I want to share it with anybody on this platform that DO NOT go to this place. She doesn't deserve to be in the service business as she is rude, aggressive and has zero business ethic. It is run by SCAMMER. Avoid them at all costs!!!.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to HDF by two friends who had absolutely incredible success in their specific training plans created by Daphne. I’m not a body builder, nor am I interested in competitive fitness, but I did want some help with my own person health and fitness goals. Daphne was awesome and so knowledgeable. I did the three month program with HDF, and despite some difficulty with injuries, I was able to reach success. Daphne was very communicative with me and really helped me understand the process, which gifted me with lifelong learning. I’m excited to keep up with my progress and if I ever change my goals in the future, I’ll be going back to HDF! I would recommend their programs to anyone trying to make changes in their lifestyle for health and fitness. Thank you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: When I walked into High Definition Fitness I had hit a plateau. I was in decent shape but no longer could get my body to a higher level of fitness. I went to a trainer every day for one year prior to HDF. Just your regular run of the mill mega chain gym. What I didn’t know was that the whole time I’d been training I was doing all the exercises wrong. Daphne Madgin from HDF pointed these issues out to me. Within a week I was already seeing different gains in my body. To a point where I now am able to compete. Daphne and Helen give so much of themselves to every and any individual that walk through the door. There really is nothing to my experience and knowledge that comes even close. Not only have I found my gym but I expanded my family. Love these women more than words can say. Thank you Daphne and Helen and the High Definition Fitness gang.

Fantastic experience: Never did a physique show/or posed before. Hired Daphne to teach me and it has been amazing. She's very knowledgeable, professional and will be honest with you. Which I think is awesome. She will tell you what you need to hear. Highly recommend High Definition Fitness.

Fantastic experience: This review is in reply to Akki Chawla, October 3rd 2020. First off the lady’s at high definition are running a business. You can’t be provided a service then ask for a refund. In what industry is this right? Ms. Madigin is simply doing her job providing a SERVICE. I’m going to address you mentioning her greed. I don’t agree with this as I have been a member of HDF for 5 years or more. The lady’s are always friendly with their clients and anyone who walks through the door. They have very successful clients and all I can say is that you pay for what you get, as it is only the BEST from them. Both hubby and I are satisfied with the training and diet given to us. We feel the prices are justifiable. I just don’t think it’s fair how you would try to demean this business when it’s undeserving of that. I know many people who are satisfied with this company and it has a good reputation in Edmonton for dieting clients, everyday life and for competitive fitness shows.

Fantastic experience: If you want to meet all your fitness goals then this is the place. Whether you want to go on stage, lose a few pounds, or just feel good about yourself, Helen and Daphne will change your life. They provided me with my diet, workout routine, and posing lessons and I took home trophies after my first year with them. You get what you pay for, and these trainers don't disappoint. They are professional and fair and firm!

Fantastic experience: Helen & Daphne are some of the most honest, knowledgable, straight-up trainers in the city. Fitness is a high failure industry but if you have the desire to get in shape-these girls wont steer you wrong. I feel like often individuals fall of track and blame their trainers and support system. These girls wont take your bogus excuses, but will instead put you right back on track with straight facts. I've had plenty of GREAT sessions with both Daphne & Helen. These girls will not only be your coaches and trainers but if you treat them with respect they will treat you like a friend. Not to mention the 0 cancellations and 100% on-point crushing workouts every time. If you're serious about fitness this is the place. If you're not 100% committed don't blame anyone but yourself.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Daphne of High Definition Fitness for several years now. My training program and diet was negatively impacted by Covid-19, so she carried my services forward and honored everything stated at the time of purchase. The business issues a meal plan and diet custom to each individual, is very responsive to any questions people have, and manipulates the plan whenever necessary. Daphne and Helen are passionate about their work and have earned a high reputation within the community for it, as proven by the average review. Their guidance has been critical in my progression, and I always feel supported. Highly recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: This review is in response to AKKII CHAWLA dated October 1 2020. I have read your review and although we all sympathize with your situation (your father being sick, being a new parent and having concerns about COVID), High Definition Fitness is first and foremost a business and Ms. Madigin is a highly sought after trainer and coach. Being a member and athlete with HDF since 2009, I can tell you from experience that Ms. Madigin reaching out to you asking you when/if you wanted to commence with your training program was a courtesy. She obviously cared enough and showed extreme professionalism by reaching out to you to give you first “dibbs” (if you will) on your training spot before releasing it to another paying customer. Please keep in mind, there are only so many hours in any day and the fact that you are/were unable to commit when Ms. Madigin reached out to you in June is not her fault. I am certain Ms. Madigin made her best efforts to provide you with what little time slots she now has available – and trust me, I book weeks in advance with her and her business partner to secure my training times, but if the time you initially wanted in June has been scooped up by another paying customer, that is a “you” issue, not an HDF issue. You cannot possibly expect a business owner to leave an hour-long time slot open in the hopes that you might come back and want it three months later. That is unreasonable. I trust that you also signed a Contract Agreement with Ms. Madigin and HDF with respect to your program? The six-month transformation plan includes (as part of its components) a meal plan and training program. By your own admission, you have benefited from receiving both of these items, and now expect to be refunded in full? Again, I find that to be completely unreasonable and unfair to Ms. Madigin. The time and energy that goes into putting together a training program and diet that is specific to you – your needs, your goals, etc – comes at a cost, and Ms. Madigin should be compensated for her time. I have read your review a few times and every single time I read it, all I am taking away from it is a business owner who is (1) trying to work with you; (2) who invested time working on your training and diet program, which you have been provided with and are benefitting from; (3) who contacted you and asked you when/if you were ready to start your transformation plan; and (4) who after you advised her of your situation, offered to refund some of your money in an attempt to come to a fair resolution… I don’t believe Ms. Madigin or HDF has done anything wrong, and I think anyone who reads my response will agree that you are being unreasonable and, in my opinion, simply making excuses for your not wanting to proceed with this program because it (now) does not fit into your schedule. Do the right thing, Mr. Chawla, and remove your review. You have no reason to attack Ms. Madigin or her business simply because you do not like the fact that she is a busy and successful trainer who is highly sought after. You missed your chance in June. It’s unfortunate, but you were the one who made that call, not Ms. Madigin.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this gym for years since they opened and have been more than satisfied. I have trained with both Helen and Daphne and they are the most honest, educated, and highest quality trainers out there. They go above and beyond what they need to, they make sure you are doing the exercises properly, and their work ethic is superior. I have Thyroid disease and they did their research about the disease before they did my meal plan and exercise plan. They make sure your individual needs are met and don't just give you a random plan like the other gyms. This is also the most cleanest gym I have ever been in. These ladies are the best in the business and the most friendliest and easy going people I have every met. I would highly recommend this gym and would highly recommend Helen and Daphne for training sessions. 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility and equipment, well thought out. Every machine is well maintained and the place is literally spotless. I would go and say it’s the best gym I’ve trained at. Signed up the next day. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. Love the pendulum squat machine! Plus the drop in price is really fair unlike other gyms out there, come try it out you won’t regret it:)

Fantastic experience: As a member and athlete of the owners of this facility, I want to respond to the June 8th comment from "Wildly Irresponsible". I was in attendance when AHS attended the facility. Not only were the precautions taken by the owners of HDF going (to use her words) "above and beyond", the AHS officer compared the gym to that of a healthcare facility - she was impressed by all of the measures taken and the strict rules and guidelines in place for all members. Again, "members", as this is a private facility wherein only "members" could train and the "members" were under the watchful eye of the owners as most of them are being trained (one on one) by one or both of the owners. I think it is extremely negligible that a passerbyer with absolutely no idea how this facility is run or the measures the owners take to protect their staff and clientele can post such a negative review. Next time you feel the need to point fingers perhaps attempt coming into the gym and speaking with the owners/members before passing judgment. As an athlete and a member, I have NEVER seen a gym of this caliber wherein all of the members understand, appreciate and respect the strict rules and guidelines set forth by management. It is the cleanest gym I have ever trained in and the equipment (even though the gym has been open for many years) is still in better than new condition. I challenge any other gym to attempt to meet and/or exceed the standard of cleanliness and professionalism set forth by HDF. That being said, I am so excited for Phase II and the re-opening of HDF. If you are looking for a training facility that is not only the CLEANEST in Edmonton, but that will push you to be better and stronger than you were the day before, I strongly encourage you to come and check it out!!!

Fantastic experience: I started off my fitness ‘Journey’ in the winter of 2017, with a personal trainer at another private gym. My original intent was to learn how to workout solo, which they knew, but in order to keep me coming back as a client I was never really taught anything. I reached out to Daphne (from a reference) who told me she could build, and teach me a workout plan to become independent. After my first session with her, I realized what I had been missing - a real professional dedicated to their career and clients. 5 sessions later I was working out by myself which the other gym could not accomplish in 4 or 5 months. This was huge to me as I didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to enter a gym by myself at that time. Fast forward to today, I have a full membership to HDF and still work out with Daphne 1+ times a week. The equipment is always in perfect condition (they use it themselves), the gym is immaculate, and occasionally their is a cute cheer leader dog running around (Louie) I am very happy that I was introduced to Daphne, Helen, and HDF. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Fantastic experience: Cleanest gym I have ever been to in my life the owners are former military and maintain it themselves. They are both great trainers too and provide advice based on years of experience. Negative reviews are from the illiterate douchebags that park in the parking spots that are clearly posted that they are reserved for the gym. Yes they enforce parking because they care and want there customers to have a parking spot right beside the gym.

Fantastic experience: This gym is the most amazing gym out there! The owners of this gym completely changed my life with their knowledge and amazing coaching skills. You will NOT find a better gym! Amazing atmosphere, great music, and help as soon as you need it! Love this gym and the ladies who run it! The negative reviews definitely have solely to do with the shared parking lot, and not the gym itself. Fantastic experience: I have been training at this facility since it opened. All the equipment is new, well maintained and clean. They have equipment at this gym that you will not find at most gyms. The trainers and nutritionist at this location are world class, the make a custom program and diet to fit your exact needs.
