Negative experience: Good gym overall, but my monthly membership (which costs $50) keeps getting canceled every 10 days despite being paid. This forces me to re-purchase access and spend $100–$150 per month. The issue needs to be fixed, as it disrupts my ability to train after work

Negative experience: My app wasn’t working when I tried to come in on a non staffed hours day. Someone was sitting behind the counter when someone else let me in. Tried to ask a question and was the person was pretty rude, didn’t want to offer help even when they were sitting behind the counter. Continued to talk to someone else. Other than that the gym is okay.

Negative experience: First I want to say that my review is not based on the gym equipment, cleanliness or quality of the gym. All of that is perfectly fine. My issue is people setting up tripods and filming. While I understand that they expect people to only film for personal reasons, I am still extremely not comfortable being on camera. I also have this belief right or wrong that someone setting up a tripod is not filming for personal reasons. I also want to stress that the customer service we got setting up the membership was first class and honestly today being told so casually it’s ok if we cancel our membership over this was completely out of nature from our first encounter. If people filming doesn’t bother you, go to this gym, otherwise you now know a rule they don’t tell people in advance.

Negative experience: Allows people to film and don’t care that other members are uncomfortable with a film studio being set up. Equipment is old and the upstairs has cobwebs throughout the ceiling. Staff is more concerned about pregnant women being able to do what they want with no regards to others.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, I enjoy that they have a sauna/tanning bed, and especially that they make smoothies on site best for after a workout!!

Fantastic experience: Love the 24/7 access!! Lots of machine options, and more have recently been added. They have rings, weighted sled, landmine, open area with mats, and boxing bag as well. The main thing I'd love to see changed would be for the backrest of the lying leg press machine able to adjust to a lower angle: helps those of us who have back issues.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting town from Virginia and used G&M to workout while in town. The facility is awesome and has everything you need. I also met a few very nice people! Lot of fun. Great atmosphere to work out. Edit to add: Looking forward to some great workouts in Oct 2024 when I will be back in town.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to G&M since 2016. It’s a great gym with lots of equipment and space. Even when it’s busy you will always find machines that will suit your fitness needs. They are open 24/7 which is my favourite part! They also give a discount if you work for the region which also keeps me coming back. Thank you for taking part in keeping me healthy and happy :)

Fantastic experience: Great Gym. Wide variety of equipment, everything you need for a good workout whether you prefer machines or free weights. Also a turf area with a sled, rings, and a punching bag upstairs. Some equipment is older however very well maintained and clean. Staff accommodating and helpful. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for 3 months now. Being in the military, I have been to numerous gyms across Canada and other countries and feel pretty accustomed to using gyms. I appreciate the engagement level of the staff both in person and via social media. The gym has everything I am looking for to keep in shape. It is located in downtown Port Colborne near ample parking lots. I usually go at 9pm at night. There are very few people when I go. When you sign up you receive a swipe card which allows you 24 hour access. The gym is on two floors. Sometimes after doing squats or heavy leg days, the stairs are brutal to walk down. I guess that is just a good gage of how well the work out went. Limping down the stairs has become a bit of an inside joke for my work out partners and I. Great gym overall.

Negative experience: Unfriendly staff member made my experience anything but pleasant. As it’s the only gym in town I tried it out but returned to my original gym before my subscription was up. Only good thing was the sauna, machines are old & outdated don’t recommend.

A team of very friendly employees who made getting signed up a breeze. Clean and respected. I also love their overall philosophy, community and giving back. Go check them out.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of G&M for many, many years. The membership price is reasonable, and it has all the equipment you'll need for a great workout. Best of all, open 24 hrs. I'm not there very often during staffed hours, but I've dealt with co-owner Matt and some of the other staff on several occasions, and it was always a pleasant experience. More of these "mom & pop" gyms should be supported over the overpopulated big box joints.

Negative experience: Needs a good dusting on pipes & ceilings . Machines seem to be well maintained, should replace # identifiers on machine that are missing them to assist new clients.

Negative experience: I personally wouldn't get a gym membership here for a number of reasons. Name a few They are way to strict a lot of rules staff is little to no help and it is very expensive to workout at a gym that has very little equipment. Go to worlds gym.
