East Saint Paul Medical Centre: Avis
Expérience fantastique: “I’ve struggled with psoriasis for a year and have consulted Patenaude dermatologist who truly took the time to understand my situation. They explained different treatment options, answered all my questions, and followed up regularly. My skin has improved more in the last month than it has in years. Very grateful!” I strongly recommend this clinic and just leave your worries to the doctor and she will take care of it ! Staff is very supportive and also with the appointments and reminders
Expérience positive: Dr Patenaude knew what she was talking about and addressed most of my questions. She was slightly rushed but she makes the effort to go over everything. Her medical assistant was also very welcoming and helpful. My appointment was at the scheduled time.
Expérience négative: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! The staff was afraid to even help me in fear of getting in trouble from Dr. AMANDA .. she def shouldn't be a Dr. I was waiting to see Dr. Paul and she came out of her office yelling at a patient.. Just horrible
Expérience négative: Absolutely horrible first impression. To start, my original appointment was about a year wait to get into see Dr. Patenaude. My appointment was then rescheduled due to the doctor's personal reason 4 times.... 4 TIMES. It took me nearly 2 years to be seen for a simple problem. When the appointment finally approached, I filled out the form first time patients complete. At the top, it asked for symptoms of my issue. Well, because I was also trying to get to the bottom of an autoimmune issue and seeing other specialists, I knew it would be better to give as much info as possible there. When the doctor saw me and saw that form, she accused me of medical stacking saying that I'm there for only the reason my doctor referred me, which was fine but I had seen my GP while waiting the 2 years for my appointment and brought other derm issues with her. She said to just bring them up with my dermatologist when I finally get in. I told this to the doctor as well. She did not want to hear anything I had to say and actually verbally cut me off multiple times "I'm going to cut you off right there...." Absolute, medical gaslighting. I could even hear her talking about me with someone in the room across the hall. She saw that form and made an assumption about me like I was trying to sneak help. Crazy. I just wanted her to know all my damn symptoms. I was trying to be thorough and she wouldn't even let me talk. While waiting in the waiting room, someone came in for a Botox top up. They squeezed her in with no appointment while there were patients waiting past the appointment time like me. I truly think this doctor is just a botox pusher for her rich East St Paul patients. I did get a follow-up appointment to discuss one of the other derm issues and she prescribed me botox for it. While she was recommending the botox she made sure to point out my facial flaws ("you see your eyebrow is falling, right?"). Just such mean girl, bullying behaviour. She basically made me feel like absolute crap both times I saw her. As well, that first appointment was during Covid-19 times. They had a sign asking people to take off their shoes but did not have slippers or shoes to offer and because it was summer, I was wearing sandals with no socks. I did not want to enter the building bare foot. I spoke to the receptionist, she gave me a pair of blue disposable booties. The first thing the doctor said to me was "Where did you get those slippers from?!" I told her the receptionist gave them and that I did not want to wear bare feet at a medical clinic, especially during a pandemic. It was like she was angry over that too. Just horrible bedside manner. I switched to Dr Al-Moumen at the Winnipeg clinic and he never makes you feel lesser-than. As a middle-aged woman, I'm just so over medical gaslighting and it just sucks even more when a female doctor does that to you. Doctor's like this do not help when you're in a medical crisis, trying to get answers. They add to the stress you're experiencing.
Expérience négative: Absolutely terrible experience!!!!! I got there for my appointment with Dr. Amanda Patenaude after 1 year waiting for this. I filled out a form with my issues (3) and my medical history before I saw the doctor. She got into the room, didn’t read a word on the form, only checked one of my issues and said that someone else would come to talk to me about the treatment and the prices. When I asked her about my other 2 issues, she said she could only treat 1 issue at a time because the government would pay her for a 30 minutes appointment. Seriously?! She was in the room for not even 5 minutes. Does that mean that I would have to go back there 2 more times to check the other issues?! Are you kidding me?! I feel so frustrated regarding health care in Canada. It’s a joke!!!
Expérience négative: zero stars, saw Dr Pateneaude for a cyst behind my ear, which is growing and is causing a lot of pain. I was told pain is not a reason for removal. She held a light up to it, said it was benign and that I can “call around” to see if a plastic surgeon can remove it, because she won’t. Any other clinic will not do it without a referral so I have learned, I called Dr Patenaude’s office asking if they can send a referral to an actual Dermatologist (Dr Shane Silver) the receptionist put me on hold for maybe 15 seconds, came back and told me that they do not send referrals and my family GP must do that. How can you call yourself a doctor?
Expérience fantastique: “I had a great experience with carries, she was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive throughout my visit. She took the time to listen to my concerns and ensured I fell comfortable . Her knowledge and friendly demeanour made the process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend them for anyone seeking top-notch care and service!”
Expérience fantastique: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ East St. Paul Medical Clinic is truly exceptional! The staff is warm, welcoming, and professional, making every visit a positive experience. The doctors take the time to listen, explain, and ensure you feel comfortable with your care plan. The clinic is clean, well-organized, and runs efficiently—I never feel rushed or overlooked. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients’ well-being. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for top-notch care.
Expérience fantastique: Staff were polite and efficient. Received two vaccinations before my medical appointment. Dr Patenaude is very thorough. She gave me comfort that my issues were being addressed in a timely manner and professionally. I will continue to see Dr Patenaude.
Expérience négative: What an awful experience l had. After waiting 9 months for this appointment to happen, l got treated like this. After driving 1.5 hours one way and because of the road constructions l arrived 5 minutes late. I was asked to fill out a form. I told them that l had fill them out already and they made me to do it again. After waiting 45 minutes l was sent to the doctor's office. Once there l was told because l was late the doctor will have a shorter visit with me. Waited another 45 minutes l went to the hallway and asked if I would be seen soon. I was told there's alot of sick people there and that l should be quite and wait in the room. Doctor entered and says how are you doing? I lost it by saying not good and that l been waiting over 1.5 hours and for being told my visit will be cut short because of me being late 5 minutes. Really!!! Then Doctor Amanda Patenauld says that l can't talk to a doctor like that. (She's a human being just like me) l Walked Out of the Office. Then they said that they are calling my family doctor office to complain about me. Not a good place to go as they don't have a good reputation and I see why. I agree This place should be investigated.
Expérience négative: This was my second time here and next time something happens to my skin I'm not going here! Dr. A Petanude was unprofessional when she walked in...was on her phone texting for a bit....explained quickly within 5-7 minutes boom she was out the door! She prescribed me way too many grams for my thumb so it was crazy expensive also didn't write on there to dispense a small amount at a time cause it expires in a month! Then had a follow-up appointment and was not told at the time of appointment that it was a telephone appointment...then it was scheduled January 4th and no I did not get it screwed up cause she wrote it down on card....then I get a phone call on another day and thank god I wasnt working but said I had an appointment? Never again will I get referred here and the second time the doctor asked me if I had ever been referred to someone before and I said her so I would get in faster...ya right took me almost a year! My thumb isn't fully healed either
Expérience positive: They are okay. Sometimes confusing.
Expérience négative: Have nothing good to say about this clinic. Have never had an appointment that happens as originally scheduled. Always postponed, sometimes up to 3 times. Never a good reason other than it's a "Family matter". Have always wondered how these matters are realized so far ahead of the appointment they are calling to reschedule. Have had appointments cancelled by them and have been advised that they will call me back to reschedule for a later date and then don't hear back from them. Why could they not reschedule you when they call to cancel the original appointment? Have had my family Dr. refer me elsewhere. Would rate lower than a 1 if it was possible. This place should be investigated.
Expérience négative: HORRIBLE AND UNETHICAL!! Cancelled my phone apt… rescheduled it … she called 3 hours late for said apt.. I missed call…. They want me to pay$ 250 for the missed phonecall that she was 3 hrs late for!!!!! Disgusting …
Expérience fantastique: I’m not sure what people are complaining about. I’ve had great experiences there with the staff and Dr. Patenaude. She takes her time with each patient and is thorough and I am understanding to the fact she may not be always on time as I know the care she puts forth and doesn’t rush through patients. So if I have to wait to see her after having a specific appointment time that’s the price I pay knowing she has my back and those of her patients. If you are lucky enough to get her as a doctor then there will be times she can’t see you “on time”.
Expérience fantastique: Dr. Meredith has been consistently kind, patient, attentive, and respectful. He listens to what your concerns are, takes you seriously, is very knowledgeable, and will refer out to specialists whenever necessary. So thankful to have him as my family doc.
Expérience négative: Absolute worst place. I’ve been cancelled and rebooked for a video chat consultation 4 times and have been waiting for now over a year. The staff that call are rude and give no information. No reason provided why the doctor keeps cancelling. I’ve called the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba to lodge a formal complaint. Why do we pay taxes for these people to never see us?! If referred here go anywhere else!
Expérience négative: I was referred by my family doctor. I saw Dr Patnuede and her assistant and I felt unheard and very rushed during my appointment leaving more confused and upset. I asked my family doctor for a new referral to another doctor.
Expérience négative: They rescheduled appointmens few times for two years, nobody cares about your appointment and problems, finally I got scheduled for phone appointment. What I can tell..I educatet enough to read about my problem in internet, looks like those professionals are not professionals!
Expérience négative: They only get 1 star because I couldn't select zero stars. I was referred to Dr. Patenaude by my family doctor in spring 2022, I received a call in June 2022 from East St. Paul Medical about an appointment which was in November 2022. Received a phone call at the end of August letting me know that the doctor would no longer be available on the day of my appointment so I was then rebooked for December. Received another call in September telling me that my appointment would again need to be changed because would no longer be available the day of my appointment. I was rebooked earlier in December. Now on Nov. 23rd, 2022 I received a phone call at 8:56 AM letting me know that they once again needed to rebook my appointment, thankfully moving it up to Nov. 29th. Less than an hour later they called me back to say that the date no longer worked bevause the doctor was unabailable that day. They had the audacity to rebook me in May 2023. I advised them that if their doctor could not respect her patients time and issues that I would not longer wish to be one of her patients. This doctor doesn't see to care.
Expérience négative: Horrible service. horrible staff and receptionist . made me wait for whole year for an appointment. They reschedules my appointment two times each time for 6 months. no respect for any one's time or health. what is the doctor doing if she is not available to see patients. why even book someone then. would not recommend
Expérience fantastique: Always a pleasant experience! Dr. Saganski is awesome
Expérience négative: They don't care about your schedule at all! My first visit was virtual due to covid with a 6 month follow up scheduled. Six months goes by and a few days before my follow up they called and had to cancel my appointment. When i asked when i could return they said, we don't know likely another 3 - 4 months but i could be put on a cancelation list. I agreed to be on this list but another 2 months goes by and no call back. I called again, lady was able to give me a new date in 3 months time. Fast forward to my 2:40pm appointment months later, i show up early, nearly 15 people sitting in their waiting room. I check in, sit patiently with everybody else and nothing. My 240pm appointment comes and goes so i waited another 40 minutes till i ask the front desk lady about when. She said, oh, there are still 3 people ahead of you and it might be another hour (2 hours late). I walked out the office as they clearly don't care about staying on time. I know medical offices are all running late but don't give me a specific time to be there if you don't expect to follow that time. NEVER GOING BACK.
Expérience fantastique: Dr Saganski is awesome. She seems like a genuinely caring person. Most importantly, she does not brush over my health concerns or questions.
Expérience négative: They wouldn’t serve my wife because she didn’t have a mask, while masks are no longer mandatory. They wanted her to pay for a mask, they wouldn’t give her one.
