Expérience fantastique: I live in Victoria but have visited this dojo several times, and have also attended their seminars. Tama Sensei is an excellent teacher. She is also very friendly and helpful. The senior students (black belts) are also friendly and experienced. Although I have just been a visitor on a few occasions they have always made me feel welcome at their dojo, and haven't been intimidated by training with someone coming from a different style/dojo (as long as that person doesn't injure people). They train in a way that is safe and I like seeing that there many women in the classes which isn't usually the case here in Victoria. The visiting teachers are also very good (not only are they good at Aikido but they are also good at teaching and presenting information in an organized way to students). I wish Vancouver and Victoria weren't so far away and I could train with them more often. :)

Expérience fantastique: As a new comer to Canada with 7 years practicing Aikido, I found this Dojo a real peaceful martial art place to practice Aikido. Tama Sensei is a great one in teaching Aikido and you will always find new things to learn in top level. I enjoy practicing in such a friendly atmosphere and recommend it to everyone looking for soft martial art.

Expérience fantastique: I've been practicing Aikido for about 20 years now, and I can say for sure this dojo is special. The sensei "Tama Sensei" has this awesome positive energy, a really hard-core Japanese-English blended way of speaking, and by far the most exceptional skill. The dojo itself is exceptionally well placed, on the top floor overlooking the park. It's traditional Japanese at its best. Very casual and flexible, so check it out. There's no special protocols for beginners to worry about, just go.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent Traditional Aikikai Aikido. Tama Sensei is friendly, respectful, highly qualified and an great teacher. She is a rare combination of a 6th dan (Degree) martial artist with a powerful technique and a humble and friendly Sensei passionate about teaching Aikido. All black belts are also friendly and well qualified. The Dojo has a great atmosphere and the pricing is very modest (especially when you think of all that you get). I would recommend this Dojo to any visitor or serious martial artists in the Vancouver area.
