Kuhnen Natural Area

Expérience positive: Contrary to listings, there is a port-a-potty at the parking lot. There is a nice map and placards along the way with interesting information. The trail is well marked, and is NOT a loop. Hike down to the red deer river and back again by re tracing your steps. The first part is nicely mowed.

Expérience positive: Very nice walk. But there is a very steep incline to get to the river on what feels like a goat and runoff path, so use caution.

Expérience fantastique: What a little gem of a place. Beautiful scenery of the river. Plus a great little spot for a picnic. We stopped quickly as we saw it in passing. We're planning on bringing our bikes next weekend to see how long the path is. We're hoping it's somewhere we can bring our pups for a walk.

Expérience positive: Nice and quiet, short walk down to the river. (Back 3km). Did see a deer, one moose , eagle and swans

Expérience fantastique: Hidden gem, peaceful and quite. We encounter a moos by river. Highly recommended.

Expérience positive: Pretty little nature walk beautiful fall colors and views of the river. Fairly muddy in the fall though. No washrooms. A couple benches and decent signage.
