Gum Ying Hapkido Inc - Richmond Martial Arts Studio

Expérience fantastique: All 3 of my kids have been training at Gum Ying Hapkido, 2 of them have been training there since 2009. The staff and other parents have become my extended family members. This is my dojo.

Expérience fantastique: One of the rare and BEST Korean martial arts places (taught by a VERY amazing/talented Chinese Hapkido master) in North America! I miss that place in Richmond that I wish there was one in Ottawa, Ontario. Yet, the place was not only just good with techniques, but also very good when it comes to teaching good conduct, and good form for practical day to day possible fighting outcomes that can make anyone feel confident in the streets (hopefully you don't do that). It was very ethical, and produced very good memories for the older and newer students. Sifu Thomas Lok is very caring towards the safety and care for his students as if they are family almost. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you wish to study a more "hardcore" Korean martial art. By a talented Chinese Master.

Expérience fantastique: For the past two years, I had wonderful experiences with their Gumdo classes and I am still with them. I am looking forward to having more classes with them in a future.

Expérience négative: It is an OK school if you are looking for a belt factory. The more you pay, the faster you get your belts, and the black belts are not any better at doing moves then the white belts. Belt tests are painful to watch as the students don't care and neither does Master Lok. Tons of better schools out there.

Expérience fantastique: Very excellent teaching sifu is very helpful. He will tell you if you’re ready or not when you’re are qualified to test. He's a calm and friendly person. It's a very good martial arts school. He likes it when students do things one step at a time. For this studio lots of fun things to do and learn. Is the best studio I can recommend for others.
