Brickhouse Gym 24/7

Expérience positive: Great selection of equipment, super friendly staff, multiple locations across the city, plenty of classes. This is a great gym for Athletes, with every location offering a unique experience. The Gertrude location is very grungy and gives you that hardcore, dungeon, garage gym vibe with plates everywhere and old-school machines. The Waverley location beautifully blends the atmospheres of both that grungy style gym complimented by a modern and clean commercial gym. They also have a full boxing room, and a room for spin class. Lastly, they do a good job of Inclusivity because they separate the super heavy lifting equipment and the regular machines. The dry sauna is a nice touch, too. The King Edwards location is a combination of the 2, offering a very cool atmosphere where anybody from Strongman, Bodybuilder, Powerlifter, or Grandma could go to. Plenty of equipment with a wide variety of pieces. Definitely has a big warehouse vibe. Furthermore, the place just keeps going. Around every corner, there's something different. A lot of Winnipeg tops athletes and coaches train out of Brickhouse Gym, so if you want to learn or get involved in any space, this is a great place to be. The membership price is comparable to other medium sized gyms (Anytime, Snap Fitness, Atalo, ect)

Expérience positive: I really like this gym super friendly staff…. Only thing i wish they would improve is how often machines are down… for examply no step master rn at ke cause both are down :(

Expérience négative: A nearly decent gym held back by neglect and apathy. Occasionally, the doors simply won't unlock. Talking to other members, this is a regular occurrence and there is no recourse when this happens. Even when you can access the gym, Brickhouse Waverly struggles with basic functions like keeping the washrooms supplied with soap... or flushing the toilets. The cardio section is a graveyard of damaged and defective machines. Basic gym etiquette is non-existent as this location's culture normalizes not grunting but shouting with each rep and leaving equipment where it lies after use. Add to this the inherent problems of gym speakers controlled by members, treating everybody present to a regular dose of polarizing choices like country music or death metal. A great way to start the day.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym. Highly reccomend getting one of the higher level memberships and taking advantage of the classes/ programs. I've done classes with 3 of 4 boxing coaches at this point, and all of them are great to work with.

Expérience fantastique: Top notch instructors. We take adult & kids boxing, spin, strength training and personal training....whole family uses the gym at all locations. The instructors are AWESOME. Facilities are clean and cared for and the prices are affordable. A down to earth scene with high quality standards.
