Expérience fantastique: Working with this gym and their cutting edge philosophy around strength training has been so key to my recovery post MVA as well as my overall health and wellness. I feel anyone and everyone could benefit from training at One-Up. Personal training is an investment, but with this gym in particular, it is an investment worth making. My training sessions here are worth every penny!

Expérience fantastique: I am 85 years old. I have been strength training with OneUpFitness for 15 years - - once a week for about 25 minutes. The same basic routine works each of my major muscles to the point of exhaustion. I am continuously amazed at how effective this program has been. My retention of muscle strength, despite aging, is unbelievable- - especially for such a small investment of time! And I have never suffered even the slightest injury. I am quite certain I could not achieve the same results without the powerful motivation and expert guidance provided by my ever-present personal trainer. Expérience fantastique: I have been with OneUP since October 1, 2015. What I like most about it is it only takes less than 30 minutes a week to meet my goals. I want to be able to be active outdoors rather than in the gym. With this routine I can continue to lift and carry things without strain or energy. The one on one attention to my form ensures I am focused on the correct muscle group. I am very comfortable with my workouts....not so much with writing posts!!

Expérience fantastique: Training at OneUp has changed my life for the better! I am getting stronger, I sleep WAY better, and I'm not as tired at the end of a busy work day. The workout is just right where I work hard for a short amount of time, and then I'm good to go. Really busy? OneUp workouts are short. Want to learn more? My trainer helps me build a workout and perform the exercises safely. Want to feel like you're working hard? You are! The workouts make you feel like you've done good for your body and mind. This is a great place to go to reach your goals and take things to the next level!

Expérience fantastique: I have been training at OneUp Fitness for approximately 3 years. This method of strength-training is so efficient. As a busy professional I am amazed by the results in the less than 30 minutes per week I spend there! It is easy to schedule sessions around my schedule. The trainers are excellent. Recently Pat Whitman joined the team and he is excellent to work with and is already pushing me beyond what I believed possible. I highly recommend Pat and the team at OneUp Fitness.

Expérience fantastique: For many years I've had an excellent experience with OneUp Fitness. I have always enjoyed my trainers, including my present trainer Pat Whitman. The studio is spacious, and I am always attended by a fitness trainer. My workout is intense, but quick enough that it fits conveniently into a busy day. I manage far more repetitions with a trainer than I would on my own.

Expérience fantastique: OneUp has been my go-to personal training centre for several years: one to one professional trainer, spotless studio, well maintained equipment, and a short session (less than 20 minutes). The trainers have helped me enjoy life to the fullest after struggling with back issues for years. Not anymore! Life is good. The well trained and professional staff coach and gently critique my workouts, allowing me to achieve the goal of increasing muscle strength with each session in the studio. I call it my "15 minutes of hell" per week. The high intensity philosophy suits my lifestyle. It's efficient and results oriented. Patrick, my trainer, is a great new asset to the studio. His comfortable coaching style guides me safely through my personalized routine, cheerleading when I need it and always with my progress and safety in mind. Highly recommend Patrick and OneUp Fitness!

Expérience fantastique: I started at OneUp Fitness in my mid-sixties as I was feeling fatigued after moderate exercise. The first sessions were pretty easy as I was working up toward my limits. Then I began to fail - which is the whole point of the workouts. It took psychological effort to embrace failure but the results are terrific. I am probably the strongest I have ever been, have added muscle and lost fat, and can ski, camp, canoe and play music better than ever. Expérience fantastique: OneUp has been a game changer for me! The workout is short and intense, which lets me fit it easily into my schedule, and still feel like I worked hard when I'm done. I tend to not know when to quit when exercising and this has led to numerous injuries over the years. Working with an experienced personal trainer at OneUp has kept my workouts injury free and more effective. I find there is good communication between me and the several trainers I've worked with, allowing the workout to be tailored to what I need at a given time.

Expérience fantastique: I have been a committed client of OneUp Fitness for several years. I go once a week, work with my trainer and enjoy the benefits every day. As a woman of 72, I attribute my excellent level of fitness to their approach to training. I'm an avid golfer and I walk my 18 holes of golf multiple times a week. I can send the ball farther than I expect! That's the gift of my fitness. At this age keeping fit makes every day an easier day. Thank you OneUp!
Expérience fantastique: When I walked into OneUp, I didn't know what to expect - I had never regularly attended a gym before and my preferred form of exercise included walking and yoga. My sessions with Mike showed me that I'm stronger than I think I am, and taught me how to push my limits while staying safe and having fun. And honestly, so much FUN! Thank you for the lovely environment, fantastic trainers and an overall great experience.
Expérience fantastique: It is never too late! Here I am well past my prime at eighty, embarking on a new fitness program at OneUp with Matt Mombourquette and his training staff. I have worked mainly with Matt but Mike and Sam are wonderful to work with too.They are encouraging and supportive, always sensitive to where the client is mentally and physically at any given time. I have enjoyed every session and looked forward to the next. It is a very positive attitude that pervades the the workout and even when you are having a "not so good day" there is no suggestion of failure. Matt speaks very knowledgeably about the body, the mechanics of movement, what is going on with the muscles during various exercises. I love the discussions we have about that and also about general health and nutrition. I love the privacy of the facility (Bedford), the one on one workout situation and the fact that it is kept cool enough that you don't get over-heated. I am committed to this program in a way that I have not experienced before and to those who deliver it. And I am feeling some improvement in strength and movement. Thank you Matt and your staff. Expérience fantastique: As a soon to be sixty year old post-menopausal female, I'm very concerned about maintaining my strength, balance, and agility for as long as possible. I've been active all my life, but I've never felt so continuously challenged and supported by any workout regimen as I have with the strength training (and trainers!) at One Up. Over the past 2 1/2 years I've felt so many benefits of working one on one with a trainer on equipment designed to provide the most optimal strength development: the improvements in strength, stamina and cardiovascular fitness; increased self-confidence, focus, and ability to deal with stress; and the joy that comes with testing and moving beyond my perceived limits. I am never bored with the workouts - it's only once a week, we switch things up, and working with a trainer is motivating. It's an indispensable part of my life. It helps me love this life!

Expérience fantastique: I have been doing OneUp workouts approximately once per week for over a year. As many people, I'm very busy in my professional and personal life and had very little time to commit to fitness and health. A colleague of mine recommended OneUp as a solution. Initially I was skeptical. I could not understand how 30 minutes once per week could benefit me. Once I understood the science and then went through the workout, it made complete sense. Matt, the owner and one of the trainers, is excellent at explaining the science of building muscle and of how the workouts contribute to current and then to future health. The workouts are very simple (weight machines), safe, yet very challenging. At the end of a workout I am tired, sore, have elevated heart rate, yet very little sweat (they keep the gym cool and you have fans so you don't overheat). I have not been injured once in my workouts. I would always have little nagging injuries from other gyms that would stop my progress. The trainers push you to your limits, to a place I would never be able to go by myself, to the point of complete muscle exhaustion and failure. No lies, the muscles are burning and shaking and it requires maximum effort. That said, you are never pushed beyond your capabilities or to a point where you will get injured. You do what you can and if you fail, that ok and it's actually good to fail as you know you have done all you can. I don't have to pay attention to how much weight I'm lifting, or how many reps I am doing. All I focus on is the technique and the breathing and following what the trainers say. To have a fully body strength workout in 30 minutes a week that maximizes effort and cuts out all the erroneous "time wastes" fits perfectly for my life and what I'm looking to achieve.

Expérience fantastique: I walked into OneUp Fitness for the first time in January. It didn't feel like a gym at all, it feels more like a studio. My initial consult was with Matt, a graduate of the Kinesiology program at Dal and a personal trainer at OneUp. The initial consult is enlightening. I have played competitive sports for most of my life, yet I had not been exposed to anything like OneUp's approach to fitness. I am a firm believer that a stronger body lives better and lives longer, the question is how does one find the time to maintain that regime...? Try OneUp Fitness, they are also in Bedford. All it takes me is two 30 minute sessions a week. My mom is on program too!
