Expérience positive: I went to the gym this morning and it is closed (allegedly unpaid rent). It was good while it lasted. I was happy there and the whole situation is unfortunate. I dislike the fact that I have to change my routine and find a new location.

Expérience fantastique: My favourite Gym in Ottawa! I love using fresh, brand new equipment for all my workouts and the atmosphere is very friendly. This gym has a healthy mix of young and older members respectfully trying to stay fit. This location has everything you need to follow a modern workout routine plus has extras like a boxing station, TRX, Rogue strength training and gymnastic rings. Bathrooms are very large which allows you to change into your gym clothes and shower privately. (No more awkward locker rooms) Overall a great gym for any experience level supported by a dedicated staff and owner.

Expérience négative: Good gym while it lasted. As of 26/2/2025, it is closed since the owner apparently failed to pay rent. Since it appears to be a scam, I have to rate it one star. If it remains closed, I recommend people check out the Terry Fox location. Edit. The owner has responded. Noted, and I have modified my review slightly and will update it further if and when I have reason to accept the owner's account of the events. I mean no offense to the owner or staff if it was indeed a misunderstanding, but based on current information, I think my remarks are fair, and I do want people to be aware of this update. The staff I talked with at Terry Fox were confident that it would remain closed when I asked, not unlike what happened with the Hazeldean location. Sure, they could be mistaken. I have very much enjoyed the gym. The owner and staff are nice and accommodating, the gym has great equipment and was clean and well-run while I was there. It's a great gym, and I do hope that what appears to me to be the case is wrong.

The fee is only refundable if you return within the 7 day trial period. If you continue with a monthly membership it is no longer refundable.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym! The equipment is very nice, with a good variety. It’s always very clean, especially the showers I’m impressed with. The staff is very friendly and always willing to lend a hand, even the personal trainers. There’s a good vibe going on and everyone is very friendly, I’ve not had a bad experience with anyone. I’ve seen a bad review claiming the gym is not clean, but that’s far from the truth. What happens when no staff is present is not their fault. It’s a 24/7 gym, and if people can’t read a sign right in the entry telling them to take their shoes off, that says more about them than the gym. I’ll continue to happily go here, and hope you do too!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been going to this gym for a while now, and I must say, it’s one of the cleanest and most well-maintained gyms I’ve visited. The equipment is modern, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is motivating. It’s clear that the owner takes pride in keeping the space welcoming and hygienic for everyone. Recently, there was some construction work happening back section of the gym that caused some dust to enter the premises infront. However, I completely understand that this was out of the owner’s control, and I was impressed with how quickly the staff addressed it. By the next day, everything was spotless again, showing their dedication to providing a great environment for members. If you’re looking for a clean, well-equipped gym with attentive staff, this is definitely the place to go!

Expérience négative: We have been members of Anytime Fitness, always valuing the clean, professional environment the brand is known for. Unfortunately, the Stittsville location has significantly declined in standards and professionalism, turning what was once a great gym into a health hazard. Over the last 6 months we have witnessed vomit on a treadmill and spit spray on the screens of 90% of the equipment—none of which was cleaned or addressed. This is not just unhygienic; it’s a biohazard. The dust accumulation on the treadmills indicates long-term negligence, not just a few days of holiday closure. Since the departure of a dedicated staff member, Scott, the facility has become poorly managed: No disinfectant wipes for days, replaced with unsanitary rags and a single spray bottle. Restrooms without toilet paper on multiple occasions. No staff presence, leaving rules unenforced and cleanliness compromised. When we brought these issues to the owner, we were met with an unprofessional and defensive attitude. Instead of addressing the feedback, he threatened legal action against us. After submitting an initial complaint, he even sent our account to collections the next day, despite stating accounts would only be referred after 60 days. This was completely unnecessary, as we resolved the balance immediately in person—though he initially refused to provide a receipt. This experience has been deeply disappointing. It shows a clear disregard for member safety and satisfaction and the values that Anytime Fitness should uphold. With the lessons learned globally from COVID-19, maintaining a clean and safe gym environment should be a top priority. We urge anyone considering a membership here to think twice. This gym is a serious health risk, with poor management and a lack of professionalism. We hope Anytime Fitness corporate will investigate and hold the Stittsville owner accountable to restore the brand's reputation. Nancy Dahdah & Rob Geikie

Expérience fantastique: I wanted a gym close to where I live, which opens early in the morning, is well equipped and has good ambience. Anytime Fitness in Stittsville ticked all the boxes and more. The gym is great, memberships are competitively priced and the owner goes above and beyond to act on feedback. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to keep fit!
