My name is Theodore Lim and my coaching services are for anyone who wants to feel better, move better and become stronger. I am here to educate and empower you so that you can take control of your health and fitness. For most of us, taking care of our health wasn’t part of our formal education but I believe that being able to do so is an essential life skill. I am here to help you with that.

Expérience fantastique: We just hit our one year anniversary working together. Theo is kind and gentle, but he is also the best cheerleader, highly organized and pushes me to do my best. Working out with him hasn't just changed my strength but improved my mental health. I always look forward to seeing what he has planned for our sessions, as he is creative and keeps me on my toes (literally as well!). I can't recommend him highly enough.

Expérience fantastique: Even as somebody with a very busy and sedentary office job, Theo was able to tailor a plan that worked for my specific needs and schedule. Expérience fantastique: I've been training with Theo since 2017. From day one, our workouts were tailored to my specific goals and needs, including taking account of my past injuries and limitations. His knowledge and understanding of how the body works made me feel safe and confident during our sessions. Theo is great at challenging you when you need but also understands how to modify sessions when your body/mind needs a break. Expérience fantastique: Theo's is a fantastic trainer! He strikes the perfect balance of pushing you and focusing on correct technique. While making sure you have fun which keeps you coming back. His patience and vibe makes everyone comfortable. One of the things I like most is how we mix up workouts, adding variations, minor tweaks to keep the movements fresh and challenging. Expérience fantastique: I started training with Theo almost a year ago after not having strength trained consistently in over a decade. Theo has radically changed how I view training- with a holistic and balanced approach to strength, mobility and self-care. He is someone who listens attentively to each client (I train with a group) and makes appropriate modifications based on our individual abilities, setbacks or even just how we are feeling that day. But the best thing is how Theo has been able to push me beyond my own expectations, physically and mentally, to be able to do things I never thought I could or would do on my own. I am stronger than I was a year ago and also empowered with the information he has taught me: to perform exercises with proper form, to move my body safely and efficiently at work to avoid injury, as well as provide numerous online resources I can access. I never leave a session feeling bad; I *always* feel better after training with Theo. It’s hard work but it is fun, which is a big motivator for me! He is truly a shining light and I believe training and coaching is his gift and calling. Thank you Theo!

Expérience fantastique: I highly recommended Theo’s sessions! When I started training with him, I had frequent knee pain. Just a few months later, I was able to do jumping jacks, mountain climbers and weighted squats with no issue. I never thought I would be able to do these things again pain-free! I love Theo’s grounded and comprehensive approach. Whether you’re new to training or more advanced, Theo takes the time to really understand your goals and challenges. He reminds you that it’s not only about physical strength. Recovery and diet are also part of the puzzle. And Theo provides invaluable guidance as you work towards a stronger and healthier you. Expérience fantastique: I've been training with Theo for over a year at this point and can confidently say he's a truly excellent trainer! He is passionate about training, and it comes through in his clear explanations of what we're doing and why we're doing it. Theo consistently goes above and beyond. He's friendly, supportive, and clearly loves to see his clients succeed. When I started with Theo I was a bit intimidated at the idea of going to a gym and starting to really work out, but he made it really easy to learn what worked best for me as we went in a safe way. If you are on the fence, I cannot recommend Theo strongly enough. The other reviews here are not exaggerating, he really is fantastic.

Expérience fantastique: Theo is amazing! I came into training without any experience using weights or most gym equipment. He did a great job teaching us the basics before introducing new challenges. He worked to understand my goals from the beginning and checked in regularly. He kept the routines varied and gave me opportunities to test new exercises while also providing foundational approaches and routines that I can take away and apply forever. I trained with him for close to a year (and have only stopped because I'm moving!). He has a very well-rounded approach to fitness. Beyond the expected improvements I've seen in my strength, I've also experienced progress in areas that hadn't even occurred to me as priorities before we started (e.g. flexibility). Would highly recommend him!!

Expérience fantastique: One of the best Trainers/Coaches I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His goal for every single Client is to give them the knowledge & tools to be able to train on their own - this is what he genuinely wants for every one of his Clients. Theo is patient & kind & really listens to his Clients - he is also adaptable & empathetic to what is happening with each of us. I am really grateful & appreciate how Theo has tailored my workouts, depending on how my body is feeling or where I am at in terms of my mental health. I am also grateful for everything that he has taught me around Mobility & the importance of including mobility work every single day. Expérience fantastique: Theo is the best of the best! He's patient, attentive and so knowledgeable. His emphasis on technique and mind-body philosophy has completely changed my relationship to working out. I was addicted to exercising but never felt strong and kept injuring myself. I've been training with Theo for 2 years now and I've never been stronger. He's helped me to focus on technique, stay consistent and achieve my goals. He's coached me to safely and confidently do movements I never thought I would be able to do (barbell, kettlebells, and more). The gains I have made both physically and mentally are beyond what I could have imagined when I first started out. I can't recommend Theo more!

Expérience fantastique: I was a total beginner when I started training with Theo. He is extremely patient, methodical and detailed when it comes to teaching. It has only been a few months and I already feel significantly stronger and have learned so much! Theo’s workouts are well paced, extremely attentive and fun (plenty of nostalgic tunes pumping through the speakers). I highly recommend Theo!

Expérience fantastique: Theo is everything you want in a trainer: thoughtful, attentive, knowledgable, kind, will help you achieve your goals, help improve your weak points, and his garage gym is awesome! If you're like me and you want to avoid gyms then going to Theo's garage gym solo or 1-1/2-1 sessions is the way to go! I trained at home most days then I would train in his garage once a week which worked perfectly for me. 5 stars all around!

Expérience fantastique: Theo is hands down the best personal trainer! Working with Theo has made me fall in love with exercising in a much more healthy way. I used to approach working out with the purpose of losing weight only and heavily relied solely on cardio. However, Theo has completely transformed my outlook on working out! He helped me change my perspective from wanting to be a specific size to wanting to be strong, capable and overall just happy with what I can achieve in the gym. His sessions are like therapy to me and are tailored to your goals and what your body needs. I have a knee injury (meniscus tear). Theo has tailored my exercises to focus on strengthening that knee and ensuring I listen to my body when specific exercising adds strain. If you are looking for a nurturing, patient, and extremely knowledgeable trainer, Theo is 100% your guy.

Expérience fantastique: Theo is such a great trainer! I have a long history of over exercising and getting injured, and I was keen to work with someone who could help break that cycle. Theo's emphasis on building a mind-body connection, and his willingness and ability to adapt training sessions as needed have been so so helpful. Expérience fantastique: Theo is the best personal trainer! Incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. He’s taught me a lot about strength training, not only the physical aspect but also how to adopt a healthier mentality towards fitness in general. Prior to training with Theo, I was addicted to exercising but wasn’t seeing any results. With Theo, I’ve learned to accept rest and recovery as crucial parts of my training, gained way more strength and muscle definition, and learned to eat healthier and not be afraid of carbs. I’ve also always been scared of barbell squatting from previous experiences, but with Theo’s guidance I’ve finally regained the confidence to perform that exercise. Expérience fantastique: Theo is a true professional. He will take all of your considerations and work patiently with you to take you to where you want to go. My main goals were to get stronger and more athletic while staying injury free. Theo's advice and programming did a wonderful job of keeping me healthy and I feel completely satisfied with the strength training he provided. Expérience fantastique: I have been training with Theo for close to 3 years and I have him to thank for everything I know about fitness and health. Over the years he has provided significant guidance in life not only in the gym but outside as well. Not only how to walk into any gym with confidence and a program in mind but also how to eat, how to recover and how to move. I have really enjoyed watching him progress as a professional. When we started so many years ago, he was an aspiring trainer who just wanted to help people build strength. He took a lot of personal interest in me as I was making EASY beginner gains and I could tell he was always excited to have me come into one of his group sessions. Today he works with that same passion however with a more holistic overview of a person's health. He not only wants to know about your physical capabilities but also your weaknesses. How do you move? What hurts? How much sleep do you get? What are your eating habits? These are all questions he will ask upon initial assessment. He will patiently work with any client around past injuries and show you that you don't have to stop lifting. I've noticed that his tone has shifted from purely building strength to a stronger focus on PAINLESS MOVEMENT. I greatly appreciate his insight on warming up, cooling down and stretching techniques. Above all he is a great guy. Always bringing positive energy and encouragement to all his engagements with clients. He is always available to answer any questions and he isn't pushy about upselling his services. He is a respectful and knowledgeable trainer in the heart of Toronto and I firmly believe he has what it takes to become the best.

Expérience fantastique: what I love most about Theodore is he tries his best to make sure you have a solid understanding on exactly what you’re doing. Focused a lot on everyday movement. I signed my mom up . And in 2 months time she felt like she was in a new body. Shoulder pain, breathing problems , knees pains all slowly disappeared as we progress with training. Will continue training with him and recommend him to everyone who is trying to start training of generally anyone who is trying to unlock the best version of themselves .

Expérience fantastique: I highly recommend training with Theo, doesn't matter if you are beginner or advanced , he will create a routine based on your abilities, and every week you will see the results. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. What I love about his classes is that is not all about just lifting weights and getting strong , is also about mobility and learning how to do everything with proper technique. Expérience fantastique: Training with Theo has been such an amazing experience, and if it wasn't for him, I don't think I would be working out at all. He caters to your body movements and checks in on how your body is feeling that day or week. If you have any injuries or feeling any pain, he will adjust the program to make sure that you continue to put in the same amount of effort without hurting yourself more. Small group sessions are fun & engaging and you always end up walking out the door learning something new, be it about fitness, food, or mentality. He helps you build your body, your confidence and most importantly, your strength! Highly recommend for those who are looking for a stepping stone into fitness or correcting your form/technique!
