Expérience positive: Place is clean and always staffed. Free wifi and black card perks are well worth the $30 a month cost. Would be better with a bigger change room and better shower facilities. Staff is always approachable and friendly.

Expérience fantastique: Absolutely loving my experience as a member at PF Thunder Bay. The staff and management team are amazing.. I thoroughly enjoy seeing each and everyone of them with every visit. I can honestly say I started off a member, but the morning staff I can now call them friends. And a special shout out to Cassandra (front desk employee) her fitness journey and weight loss goal is admirable and respectful. She is the prime example that no matter what anyone’s goal is… this gym has something for everyone! (Cass- ur killing it and look amazing)

Expérience fantastique: Best Planet Fitness!!! We usually go late at night, and it's always clean the staff is amazing, super friendly, and actually want to help and inform you the best they can! We need more places like you guys. You should be a model for the other PF!!

Expérience positive: It's okay. Affordable price, quality equipment that's maintained. Chill staff. Music and TV playing in the background is distracting which gives Planet Fitness 3/5 stars. Overall, it's okay, mid-tier.

Expérience fantastique: Been coming to planet fitness for a few months now, and I just want to add that I enjoy being able to come with my friends, and being able to bring another person along so they can try it out and see if they'd like a membership or not. I switched gyms to try and keep costs down and I can't complain. The staff is okay, I feel like in a gym setting that they could be more chatty to customers instead of socializing behind the counter. On the other hand, one staff member that is like to point out is Kim, she is amazing and has been super helpful every time we go in and has answers so most m, if not all questions I have.

Expérience fantastique: My friends & I have been going to planet fitness for a few months now and it’s been great! Also want to add that Kim is the best employee they have! Always so happy and friendly. 10/10 employee! She is one of the reasons we keep going back, she has made us feel so comfortable & welcome.

Expérience négative: This girl named Cassandra heavier lady, always on her phone leaning at the front counter does not welcome anyone when you walk into the gym. She should not be working in a customer service job. I watch the rest of the staff run around her all the time while she stands there and gives everyone dirty looks when you walk into the gym. Managers don’t do anything about it. Have addressed it to them before and they say they will deal with her but same thing every time. Also she has a rotten attitude you ask her to use the spa area and she looks so mad that you asked her to do her job? Doesn’t make sense….. very disappointed in this gym.

Expérience négative: There is one staff member who consistently ruins my experience when I come to planet fitness to work out. Have never gotten her name, but she mainly works evenings and has medium length chestnut hair with a heavier build. HORRENDOUS attitude. She spends her time laughing and gossiping with her coworkers while people stand at the desk needing help or there’s things on the floor to be attended to. She looks me up and down with a dirty look any time I walk past the desk. She greets people selectively, saying hello to some and giving dirty looks to others like me. If you’re that miserable at your job you should find something that isn’t customer service based. As a manager in customer service myself, I would be so ashamed to know she was a part of my team treating guests the way she does. For a place that claims to be judgement free, they employ staff who are the epitome of judgement.

Expérience négative: Awful experience. My husband and I brought our 9 month daughter who was peacefully minding her own business being quiet and all. We were all signing in while the workers were watching us and as soon as we’re about to start working out; the worker said “oh we don’t allow kids under 13 years of age”. Like you couldn’t tell us that before we spent all that time signing in or before we paid for our member ship?

Expérience négative: Imagine being judged by staff at a no judgment gym. As well as by the rude and ignorant manager Joel Carruthers. Shame on you! You need to be replaced!

Expérience fantastique: Planet Fitness is a great new addition to Thunder Bay. Located at the intercity shopping area in the old "Mark's Work Warehouse" space by the LCBO. The gym has a clean fresh set up with an excellent variety of balanced machines, functional equipment, free weights, treadmills, elliptical, staircases, rowing machines and universal weight machines. Great staff attend with knowledge to assist anyone who requires help. Fitness regimes, exercises, demonstrations, advice, guidance, and instruction are available on the App. All machine directions can be found on the Planet Fitness App as well. Busy times are mornings and early evenings with a lull in the afternoons between 1300hrs & 1600 hrs. Open 24/7. Downside is small change rooms, limited showers. Amenities like massage, tanning, etc. are available for Black Card members. I recommend Planet Fitness with a solid 2 thumbs up 7

Expérience fantastique: Update 3/18/24 I have been happy with this location to date, but this time they are playing bad music really loud, so I can hear it a lot though my headphones and when I asked the staff member to turn it down they said it was not allowed. I may not be able to keep working out here. Nice new location, friendly staff. Sometimes a bit full already. I like that the gym is large and the machines are in good repair.

Expérience fantastique: Recently, while I was at the complex, I went to the recently opened Planet Fitness club. It's a fantastic facility with modern equipment. Their spa, the Black Card, is outstanding. I had the opportunity of speaking with Vishu, a member of the staff at my neighbourhood Planet Fitness, and I have to admit that it was a very remarkable experience. He was pleasant, friendly, and clearly dedicated from the moment I walked into the building and exhibits elegance. Excellent facility for working out I would really think about becoming a member soon.

Expérience fantastique: Everything is brand new and very clean. They have free weights, benches, all the machines, I love the leg press it’s very modern. Staff are very friendly. Lots of perks for members. All the tanning and red light was down, but can’t wait to try it when it’s up and running.

Expérience fantastique: I enjoy the cleanliness of this newly opened gym. Overall is not too busy (which is awesome) and the application and the amenities are super! Good to mention that they play good music as well ✌️ keep up the good work!

Expérience fantastique: So far so good. To be honest I had low exceptions but so far I am happy with this gym. It is no Movati or Lakehead gym but in my option better(and cheaper) than the very busy fit4less. The workers seam very friendly, and are keeping the gym clean. I will update this review in 2 months.
