Expérience négative: The ice is pretty terrible and the fumes from the zamboni are very strong to the point of getting sick. Location is great but parking stinks. Response to Owner: The ice was rough, kids were falling left and right because of it wasn't smooth. You could see the bumps all over. I highly doubt the air level is tested in there and several people complained about the gas smell from the tractor. I wouldn't call guelph to do an air quality check as I don't think the fumes are likely to kill anyone, but only a fool would deny the strong smell of diesel or gas after the tractor has been used.

Expérience fantastique: This is the place for kids and parents to gather. From just strapping on skates at 2 or 3 to grown teens looking for a pad of ice to get together and just play to have fun...the zone is the perfect spot and worth every penny.

Expérience fantastique: Kyle is an amazing instructor. We put our son in private, semi private lessons as well as group skills. Our son's confidence in playing hockey as well as skill has greatly improved with Kyle's guidance. Highly recommend The Zone for any player wanting to advance their skills.

Expérience fantastique: At 11, my son decided he wanted to try hockey for the first time. He knew how to skate a little so we put him in two classes at The Zone in Guelph. Kyle was awesome. He’s great with the kids and really encouraging. My son was as beginner as it gets and he really came a long way over the six weeks. Lots of frustration and some tears early on to laughing and joking with Kyle after a few sessions. Great place

Expérience fantastique: Such a great place to sign your kids up at if they’re learning how to skate. The coaches are great and super patient with the kids. Shout out to Erin and Kyle, you can genuinely tell they enjoy what they do and are awesome with the kids. We tried the city programs but I was sick of having hung over university kids try and teach my son how to skate, they don’t want to be there and it really shows. The Zone is top notch and I would recommend anyone here who is looking to improve on their skating! They have gained a long term customer with our kids! Thanks for the great service!

Expérience fantastique: Great setup here! We put all three of our boys in Learn to Skate programs. Our 4 year old was not having it and they were great with giving us a credit. Our older two are doing great! I thought the smaller ice surface was a downside before signing up, but it's actually ideal for them. They don't get all spread out (no where to wander off!) and the have a great ratio of teachers to kids. It just makes the lessons super productive. Our boys have become functional skaters in only a few lessons.

Expérience fantastique: My little guy is getting his official first skating lessons here. It has been just a great pleasure to come here, with great parking, great atmosphere, easy to find, Fantastic instructors! and perfect for kids to learn.

Expérience fantastique: My daughter took beginner skating lessons here and we were very impressed with the teachers, they were so patient and caring with the young kids. Highly recommend! I can only add that they could improve with more communication in the form of email updates to registered parents (eg. reminders about the start of lessons and whether lessons are running on holidays).

Expérience fantastique: They coaches are great. We're in the 2 kids to 1 coach program and it is really helping our little one improve their skating. They have fun little games to play on the ice to push the kids to improve while having fun. My only wish, I would like to know when the new classes are available for enrollment. They fill up quickly and we've missed signing up because we didn't know when they were added.

Expérience fantastique: Always a positive experience at The Zone in Guelph! I play with a group of ladies there Thursday nights and they all like it there too! Derek, Cindy and the rest of the staff are always friendly and very helpful. Two years ago I also had my daughter's birthday party there which was a lot of fun too! They also offer a lot of great programs for kids and adults too.
