Expérience négative: If I could give it zero stars I would. Picture this, you (black girl) and your boyfriend (Asian man) find the most convenient gym to go to on vacation. We asked a plethora of questions prior to going, since we have never been there before. My boyfriend purchases a drop in, and added me as a guest (or so we thought because a lot of gyms have +1). We walk in and got changed just for me to get stopped. A tall white man with dirty blonde hair (one of the owners, his name is Sean) approaches me and grills me on how I have to sign in my self, I tried explaining to him my boyfriend added me to the pass and purchased an additional pass on top (my bf even scanned two separate codes and he already got charged for it two separate passes). My boyfriend even showed him that I was added in the app. The man grew more hostile and rude, deciding to threaten us with a fee of $150. Verbatim he said “this is how we do it around here if you don’t like it I can charge the $150”. Trying to not escalate the situation I say that won’t be necessary I’ll just get a drop in pass since it apparently didn’t work on my boyfriend’s half (it charged his credit card for two SEPARATE passes under two different names) The man stood there waiting for us to do it and once I purchased it and scanned in, my boyfriend went up to him and asked if he sees my name on the list now? The man literally wouldn’t even look him in the eyes and just nodded his head. It’s like he was embarrassed that we were able to pay $15.The gym itself definitely wouldn’t be too good for any powerlifters, no kilo weights, it’s more of like a hotel gym if anything. A large amount of the equipment were being stabilized by weights (not bolted into the ground) which is extremely dangerous. the equipment upstairs were very squished together. The atmosphere was very unfriendly and uninviting from the start. Very disappointed in the service especially from an owner, there were many different ways Sean could’ve approached the situation. The lack of professionalism was insane.

Expérience fantastique: I love this gym! It's unpretentious, the music is not loud, there's plenty of good equipment, it's always clean, and the people, staff and clients, are great. There are some serious lifters here, but also newbies like me getting in shape after neglecting that for a while. Everyone is comfortable in the space. Highly recommended.

We're stoked to have been able to accommodate you - It takes a special kind of commitment to fitness to work a 12 hour shift building a highway, then still have the energy to crush a workout, so big props to you for that!
Expérience fantastique: A small Gym but there is everything you need (barbells, dumbbells, cardio machines, nice Hammer Strength machines etc.). The staff is really polite and 15$ for a daypass is quite cheap. (But notice: the gym is open 24/7 but the desk is not opened everyday. Best to look it up on their website!) The atmosphere is perfect, more like in an „oldschool“ gym with pictures of bodybuilders and well trained members. Unfortunately, the AC was not working properly, so it was soaking hot on the 2nd floor. But overall a good spot for workouts!

We apologize for the warmer-than-usual temperatures upstairs - Unfortunately our AC unit had malfunctioned earlier in the week, and we were still waiting for the replacement unit to arrive. If you happen to find yourself in Golden for work again, make sure to look us up! There have been lots of exciting improvements to our gym since the summer :)

Good afternoon, We apologize for any confusion about our office hours. Our gym is open 24 hours a day for member access, but being in a small town, it simply isn’t sustainable to have staff on duty 24/7 for the occasional drop-in outside of desk hours. We have a full page of detailed information for drop-in visits on our website, including the option to accommodate drop-ins outside of office hours (when possible). You’re always welcome to reach out to our team through Google messages, Facebook, Instagram, or Email to coordinate an early drop-in. Our team is very responsive to messages, so with a bit of advance notice we may be able to accommodate you better in the future! Regarding our office hours on Google: We have sent multiple requests to Google (for over 3 years now) asking for the option to display two sets of business hours (ie: front desk hours, member access hours), but they still have not made this feature available. Every 24 hour gym in Canada faces this same issue, so it is truly shocking that Google has not provided us with the simple solution we need. We fully sympathize with you on this, and understand your frustration at the lack of options to have this information more readily available on our Google business listing.

Expérience fantastique: Great local gym! We visit Golden every fall for vacation and we were excited to get some workouts in while we’re here this time. We met the owner our first day, and she’s very sweet but also to the point (Love that!) The respect she demands of the space is refreshing, most gyms are a mess - messy bathrooms, weights all over the pace. Not this one! There’s plenty of equipment for all your needs and the vibe in here is one of gains! This is a real gym, where you get in real shape! Can’t wait to come back, Highly Recommend.

Expérience fantastique: This gym does not disappoint. The owner Jaime clearly takes great pride in it and puts a lot of hard work and invested into providing a motivating, clean, inclusive and high quality atmosphere for her members. She worked tirelessly throughout the entire pandemic working largely alone to maintain a safe and functioning facility to all the members, cleaning what seemed like 24 hours a day! This facility is nothing like the big box, chain, franchise gyms in that it is passionately run, everyone knows your name and you're not just another number. Signup online is easy and fob pickup is quick and efficient during office hours. You will not regret signing up here!

Expérience fantastique: I used this gym for three months while in town for a summer job; it has a surprisingly large selection of equipment (free weights, machines, cardio, you name it) and is consistently kept clean and organized by its staff. Over the three months I very rarely needed to wait for any equipment. The large posted rules ensure excellent gym etiquette from all members. I would highly recommend signing up to anyone looking to maintain or start a workout routine in Golden.

I really love going to this gym. The other gym users are friendly and non intimidating. (no egos!) Jamie-Lee is a great owner. She understands the needs of her clients and is able to adapt. I forgot some shoes there and left town, but the owner Jaime was nice enough to ship them to me! Definitely will be stopping here again, next time I’m in Golden.

Expérience positive: Unable to get a pass due to hours worked. 7 days on 12 hour shifts. Searched for alternate phone number could not find it. And they do not open until 10am. How is a working professional supposed to acquire a gym pass. Gym staff did how ever make a considerable effort to contact me in order to obtain a pass. Will hopefully be receiving it soon

Expérience fantastique: Small town gym with small town expectations. To the guy complaining you pay $14 to 16 bucks to drop in, in Calgary and this is BC where you have more taxes. Buy $10 dropins and it is only $10 a drop in. This is a great gym open 24 hours a day. Sometimes can be a hassle with membership renewals and payment but is great otherwise. Great work selection of workout equipment.

I know you’ve been in to train with us since the new owner took over in 2019, but just for visibility for others reading this: As a 24 hour gym, we recognize that we serve a variety of clients with different work/life schedules. With that in mind, our system was completely revised to be more efficient and accessible, especially with the introduction of online signups and membership renewals. Members can now sign up or renew their passes at any time through the gym website, or by coming in during our regular office hours. Current gym members also have the added flexibility of paying by eTransfer if they do not have access to a credit card or Visa debit for online payments. We hope that these additional options have worked well for you, and alleviated any hassle that you may have experienced with updating your gym pass prior to the new ownership.

Expérience positive: This review isn't of the gyms interior, it's of the gyms exterior. That's because I haven't seen the inside. I've been trying to get a membership everyday for the last week, but when I go to the front office, usually at 5:15-30 they are closed, despite the sign saying it's open until 6:00 pm. It's a bit disappointing, but I'll just keep trying I guess. That being said I look forward to one day getting a membership here, it looks like a classy joint from the outside!
