Expérience fantastique: Rllly good! I rlly dig their classes.I would love to go again tbh, my only complaint is the 5 dollar fee charge everytime you have use the boxing gloves. I wish they rented them for free, I would go way more often. Everytime I want to go I have to think about the +5dollar charge so I switch to another option. Its not a alot of money at all , but for the girlies who want to exercise and save money its a double thought. I recommend them overall!

Expérience fantastique: Such a great gym. It's extremely tough to create an environment that accommodates high level amateur boxers and people who just want to have fun & get in shape. People of all ages/genders/shapes & sizes are made very welcome, they've built a truly special community. I did a couple of boxfit classes before trying boxtec, and after 2 years I'm hooked!

Expérience fantastique: Had an amazing experience at my first class at Griffins. The location and the view are stunning. The gym has lots of space and lots of bags so you can always get your own. Class was structured with great variety so you don't run out of energy. I loved this group of people of all ages and genders. Makes it easier for partner exercises. All in all - fantastic experience! Can't wait to be back.

Expérience fantastique: Training at Griffin's Boxing is quite remarkable. I have trained at multiple gyms across Canada (mainly on the East Coast) and no other gym compares to Griffin's. The staff is very welcoming, the people who I trained with are incredibly friendly, and the facilities are incredibly clean and organized. Schedules are really important to me and my life, as I am typically quite busy, and I'm happy to say that the schedule at Griffin's boxing has never interfered in my daily life. The afternoon/evening BoxTech classes, which I prefer, never cause scheduling issues. The BoxTech glove system is a great way to get into boxing. Beginners go through 3 levels of noncontact training before they're given the option to engage in contact boxing or sparring (Sparring is however not obligatory and participants can continue to take noncontact classes). This system refutes the myth that training boxing will inherently cause injury. The professional athletes (particularly the ones that regularly compete in the Canada games and have Olympic ambitions) that go to Griffin's are a big motivating factor and solidify the club's position as the top boxing gym in Vancouver and perhaps the whole province. I could go further, but I believe that everything that I've said so far will convince other inquiring users here that Griffin's is a top gym with amazing facilities and an even better learning environment.

Expérience fantastique: Griffins is an unusual gym in that anyone of any skill level can get a great workout. They have a strong focus on defense and timing while making sure you learn everything right the first time. I'm well over 100 classes so far and every class I learn something new and feel I get my money's worth. Couldn't recommend it more highly!

Expérience fantastique: Our son attends the little champs class, and we can’t say enough great stuff about the gym. Our son started late in the year, but is so focused and determined to keep up and progress through his levels.

Expérience fantastique: My 15 year old son plays elite level hockey and wanted to learn boxing as a good form of cross-training. I asked around and Griffins was recommended by several pro athletes and coaches in the boxing and MMA world. My son joined and LOVED it so much he talked me into giving a class a try. The instructors were GREAT and I joined after my first trial class. I was a little intimidated at first, because I had been out of the gym since before Covid, but Liz made me feel so comfortable, and adjusted some of the exercises for my skill and fitness level, so I could keep up and not feel out of place. The owner is very hands on, always interacting with the members, and even took a few minutes to show me a video of an upcoming program they are going to be running specifically for hockey players. Today was my third day and when I walked in with my son we were both greeted by our first names and it made me feel like a part of the "club" and not just another number like most fitness gyms.

Expérience fantastique: Griffin's has been a great experience for me. All the staff are very welcoming and encouraging no matter your fitness level. It's a great workout and it feels good to get more fit and more confident doing it.

Expérience fantastique: All through daycare, kindergarten and grade 1 our son was having issues with his peers. He was always in trouble. If somebody was playing with a toy that he wanted he would take it. He would push, punch, kick. Whatever it was he would always lash out physically. To be fair, a lot of this was brought on by anxiety. During this time his mother and I had separated which I’m sure caused him even more stress. Trust me we tried and did so many different things for him. From counselling to changes in his diet, we just wanted him to feel better In May of 2021 we decided to sign him up for boxing. That summer he went twice a week. In September we put him in for 3 days a week. One day he had a really good class and I showed him a video of him training. He became sad so we asked him why he was crying. It turned out that he was upset that he saw how hard he hit the heavy bag and was upset that he had hurt some of his friends. Since September 2021, grade 2 now, he hasn’t gotten in trouble at school for any of the things mentioned above. It has taught him control and discipline, both mentally and physically. He loves going to boxing each and every class. The coaches here are amazing. Coach Nick, who teaches his class is so good with them. I watch the owner of the gym, Coach Dave, train the amateur fighters. He is so in tune with them while working out. To be honest, all of the staff are really great there. The front desk staff are great and always make you feel welcome. If you are thinking about putting your kids into some kind of a sport I would say do it. It’s made a world of difference for our son in such a short time.

Expérience fantastique: The class was challenging (and I am fit) but very diverse, with lots of different exercises : it passed so quickly even if it was difficult. Could suits all levels of fitness because you can slow down whenever you'd like. It was my first time and the instructor was kind and patient, gave me time before the class to explain the basics, and corrected my form during the class . The instructions were clear. I loved it !

Expérience fantastique: At 38 years old I have NEVER been able to find a workout that's actually fun. Enter Griffins Boxing. From the second I walked in there I was fully engaged. From the top down, every single staff member, coach and even members have been super helpful and make sure you're comfortable. I feel stronger, lighter, faster, more confident and overall happier since joining Griffins. If my out of shape, 38 year old butt can do it, anyone can!

Expérience négative: IF you dont mention fixed prices on your website for all the reasons you have mentioned on the website,then its already a red flag..what if someone needs to know the prices before wanting to even put time to speak with a rep? EvERy single NORMAL gym has their membership pricing SIMPLY put on the website. Very normal and reasonable thing to do yet you have dedicated a whole FAQ section on why you dont have the pricing listed on the website? Lol..no..not professional Putting an edit: YES,first common thing that comes to mind about business professionalism IS transparency..yet again you put effort to sarcastically respond to this comment and still no direct response on why would a business HIDE their membership fees and have people CALL them..this tells a lot about the business already..pretty sure if you could you would refer to the good reviews but well who knows * in a sarcastic way just like your response*

Expérience fantastique: We went to this gym for two years, we only left because we moved back to NZ. Its been over a year and we still miss this place! It has something for everyone - whether you want to get a bit fitter or learn how to box. They take you through step by step building your fitness, confidence and boxing skills. The coaches are skilled boxers that will find your strengths and encourage you to develop and get better. The entire community is friendly, on our first day the more senior members came and introduced themselves and asked whether we were enjoying it. Such a fantastic place to get fit and learn a new skill. Can't recommend highly enough.

Expérience fantastique: I like this place no doubt. When I first time came Griffins I met Natalia who is so dynamic and friendly, I felt so welcome and warm. There is a big door that can be opened to let air circulate freely, whole place is clean and the style is cool. The coaches are very professional and patient. My son attend a summer camp in Griffiths then he decided to attend youth boxing training class regularly. I have a great time at here I am very strong recommendation Griffiths even my age is 48 I get too much energy and fun.

Expérience fantastique: Griffins is so much more than just a gym and it has provided so much more than just improved physical fitness for me. The staff and the members operate as a true community and as an outsider coming in this meant they took time to get to know me, greet me by name and make sure I was connected with others to help me get started. The coaches have a unique ability to meet everyone where they are at and yet still push you just outside of your comfort zone which fuels an ever growing desire to learn more, get stronger and be better. There are programs for all ages, all levels and the drop in model is practical for the changing demands of life. This also contributes to an incredibly motivating environment as there are always others to look to for inspiration and it creates great energy throughout the gym. I have completed my first year through which I've conquered three levels of the technical program, completely changed my level of physical fitness, gained friends and the confidence to set goals much bigger than I could ever have imagined a year ago. Expérience fantastique: I joined Griffins at a very low point in my life, and I’m proud to say two years later it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The facility is great but it doesn’t come close to how great the people are in this gym. The owner Dave and the coaches Dan, Matt, Nick, and Steve have all contributed in making me into not only a better boxer/athlete but better and healthier person both mentally and physically. The best part of the gym is, even though it is full of talent (BC provincial winners and national medalists), everyone, and I mean everyone is welcome, doesn’t matter what your age, skill level, fitness level is, you will feel at home as soon as you step into the gym. If you love boxing or just want to be a better and healthier version of yourself give Griffins a try, you won’t regret it.

Expérience fantastique: REALLY GREAT PLACE! As someone mentioned before the place is 'old-school' and will teach you the basics properly (not a fancy wannabe gym). The coaches are amazing and the peole are very friendly! Its a fun enviornemnt and you'll sweat like crazy!

Expérience négative: It’s a super nice gym if you want to tell everyone that you box! (Without actual boxing part) Out of 60+ members only one or two of them are allowed to spar, so basically it’s a glorified fitness club. How can you learn to BOX if you only punch stationary pads? Also, it is obvious that some of the coaches are very inexperienced and might’ve never boxed before (not everyone). It is a very expensive place to learn how to skip. PS: The owner replied to my review - "as you came for one trial class". I was there for one full month and I was made to pay for two (they told me that they require 1 month notice to cancel my contract). Anyways, it’s not good to lie...

Expérience fantastique: AMAZING PLACE! The staff is incredibly friendly and approachable (very knowledgable and accommodating). The facilities are spacious and well-kept. Coaches are dedicated and focus on training you with proper technique, grit and dedication. It's a fantastic workout too. Griffins has a wonderful 'old-school' vibe and is the perfect example of what a boxing gym should be!

Expérience négative: Over glorified fitness class. Kids have to rent shirts if they do not bring one, kids can’t be late but the classes can always run late. My kids have commented at how coaches yell at kids, etc etc. Heard coaches making arrogant comments about parents. I think giving one star was excessive

Expérience négative: Amazing facility, large, well equipped and clean. Some great coaches as well. However the primary focus is on squeezing as much money as possible, not to train you to be a better boxer.

Expérience fantastique: This was a fantastic experience! Got to try it out twice because of ClassPass and had both classes with Dan. He was super nice and helpful since I had never done anything boxing before. Was able to rent out wraps and gloves for $5 each time. Class was intense but fun. Sore for days afterwards but so worth. Would love to join permanently when I have more disposable income.

The coaches are brilliant and the facility beats any facility hands down. I would rather spend my money on a club like Griffins than on a run-of-the mill gym.
