Expérience fantastique: My friend and I started training here 4+ times a week in August, immediately everyone was welcoming of us as beginners, 0 hate or toxicity in the environment. I strongly recommend anyone interested give the trial class a shot - workouts are intense but super welcoming to all levels of fitness, and supportive! Coaches are all amazing and very interactive with the entire class! They give extra advice to those on their first classes

Expérience fantastique: Been coming here to do Muay Thai for about 3 months now and it’s been awesome. I live in Guelph but the 20 min drive is worth it. It’s a great place to train at all levels, everyone’s humble. Darryl, Steph, Scott, and Rick are all great instructors. Check it out if you’re new or if you’re looking for a new place to train!

Expérience fantastique: I started training here in October 2021. Since then, I've been lucky enough to also spend time training at gyms in New York and in Thailand. Every other gym I've visited since joining Darkside has felt like a bit of a downgrade in comparison. They are all missing something, and I believe that something can be found in head coach Darryl Martin. Darryl is a magnetic trainer and has steadily become a personal hero of mine - I could not think of enough positive things to say about him. Membership at this gym provides an experience that is second to none. I would recommend this gym to everyone who has ever wanted to expand their own idea of what they are capable of. KW is so lucky to have such a fantastic community of martial arts enthusiasts and competitors :)

Expérience fantastique: I have been training here since July 2020 and it has been a great experience. All the coaches/trainers at this gym are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Like any other gym, the harder you work the more you will get out of your experience but Darkside is still a great place to train recreationally as well! I would recommend anybody interested in martial arts to come train.

Expérience négative: This place was awful.. the coaches are either nosy and in your business or they ignore you. They took my money and left me alone in a every class. Super expensive for what u end up getting (nothing). People were goofing around and there was little order. The coach wouldn't hold pads except for 1 guy.. the other students were all ignored. Children were in the BJJ adult class and the head BJJ instructor was a retired Blue belt. He does not even compete. The muay thai coach was KO'd in Thailand yet now tries to brag about fighting there.. These guys are goofballs with very little experience and no knowledge of the martial arts they teach. Scam gym 100%

Expérience fantastique: They are so good with kids! My son is fitting in and putting in more effort than any other activity we’ve done (many) and he’s 11. Trainers teach while being motivating.

Expérience négative: Worst gym in the area. Was left alone by the coach for the entire 45 min class (super short classes?!) with another new guy.. Neither of us knew what was going on and learned nothing. The coach had the audacity to return at the end of class and tell us it's $110/month.. we asked for what?? I can hit a bag alone in my garage for the same price.

Expérience fantastique: I trained at dark side for about a year and it was the best place I have ever been to and still would be training there if I didn't have to move. All the coaches are phenomenal and are very passionate about teaching martial arts and values. They offer not only muay Thai but also boxing, bjj, both with and without a gi, and have some mma classes too. I would highly recommend this place if whether you're experienced or a beginner.

Expérience fantastique: My wife and I have now been attending Darkside Muay Thai and Fitness for about a year and a half. It has become like a family there. Training has been top notch. What you put into training is what you get out of training. There's a good range of techniques taught in both Muay Thai and BJJ because each coach has a different style, but all have a similar mindset. No egos here and I would encourage both families and individuals debating on trying Muay Thai or BJJ to stop by, talk to the staff and try it out. Positive attitudes only. Love this place!

Thanks . It's hard to participate if he can't jump or walk. They were understanding and supportive when he started back up. He lloves going.

Expérience fantastique: I'm so happy that I decided to try out a class at Darkside last year. The community at the gym is great, everyone is supportive, and the instructors are fantastic. It's the most fun I've ever had working out, and when it comes to de-stressing there's nothing quite as effective as kicking pads.

Expérience fantastique: Train like a fighter. That is the main element I search for when choosing a new gym. Is it going to be geared towards athletes? Do the coaches know what they are doing? Am I going to feel like I am learning something new? Darkside Muay Thai answered all those questions. Last year I was looking for a new place to train, with many choices I could go with. I tried one class from this gym and I was hooked. The atmosphere is electric, friendly, disciplined, and fight oriented. As someone who has been participating in Kickboxing and Muay Thai for 6 years, I was happy to come across this facility. And even if someone is doing it for mainly recreational reasons, they will have an awesome experience. The gym caters to a wide group of people, not singling anyone out. The drills, workouts, message, people, and prices, are all great. I am glad to say I train at Darkside Muay Thai.

Darkside has a great training environment. Both the instructors and your training partners push you hard, in a supportive manner. Rick and Darryl are passionate about MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ and Boxing. It feels like a team environment and people are really welcoming. I've learned a lot in the short time that I've been here. Muay Thai with Rick and Darryl is fun, challenging and an intense workout! I'm so glad I found this place. Zoe has also taught me a lot in Muay Thai. She is incredible! Not only does the gym have quality instructors who are good at what they do but they genuinely care about their students. The team at Darkside is so helpful and welcoming. No need to be intimidated here. Did I mention how great the workout is? You get what you put into a workout but even more so here because Rick and Darrell take the time with each member to make sure they reach their full potential. I wish I had started sooner! Lots of great athletes here who are also are very helpful to everyone. Overall, a great atmosphere, a lot of fun, and a crazy good workout! Mothers send your daughters for great self defense, better yet, come with them. (You get to secretly take out your frustrations, ha!)
