Expérience fantastique: Recently moved here from Toronto and decided to give anytime fitness a chance since its close to home. Don’t be fooled by the “Anytime fitness” name, this gym is nothing like the other locations I’ve been to in the GTA.The gym offers more than enough options for every muscle group as well as enough free weighs (130lbs I believe ), very clean facility! The place is never really “ over crowded “, plus they have private showers in the bathrooms. Come by and say hi ! Now get off your phone and lift some heavy weights!

Expérience fantastique: Been to over a dozen anytime fitness’ and this one is by far the highest quality. So happy to have this place so close to my new home. Staff is very friendly and equipment is very high quality, there is a large space for functional athletic training, with a heavy bag, a 40yr strip, as much cardio options you could ever want and lots of space in the free weight area. Great view out the front windows with a great sunset/sunrise view, the lighting is very modern and inviting. If living in the area I would 1000% recommend coming to this gym.

Expérience fantastique: We've been driving across Canada and when we went to this gym in Calgary we were happy to find out that it's the best gym we've ever been to. So much so that on our drive back home we specifically planned our hotel to be close to this gym so we could go again. It's incredibly clean, the workers are so friendly and the equipment is top notch. I wish I could bring this gym to Ontario!

Expérience négative: Came in during business hours to sign up. No staff was present onsite to answer the door to sign me up. If a business can't maintain such a fundamental thing as business hours... I'm not really interested.

I’m very thankful for their cooperation, and I’m glad that we were able to solve my issue. Again, love the gym, equipment is everything you could ask for and the gym is always clean. I also love the aesthetic in general- purple and black go really nicely together. The manager of this location is also a wonderful person, he’s super friendly and I’ve never had any difficulties communicating with him. Keep it up guys!

Expérience fantastique: Honestly the best gym I’ve ever signed up for! Staff is extremely polite! They greet you whenever you enter the door with a smile! Everything inside is clean the bathrooms are nice! The equipment is super new and sleek and aesthetically pleasing. Everything you need for any workout is here to be honest! (I’ve been to gyms that don’t have certain basic equipment like mats or resistance bands) Parking is pretty tight and low on spots but there’s underground parking for members which is such a great alternative! Also in my experience so far, all the members have been very polite, respectful and have such great vibes! No judgment here :)

Expérience négative: As new to Calgary, i was on the 'hunt' for a gym. After many years with GoodLife, decided to review this one as well. The gym looks ok, a bit on the small size and limited in terms of equipment, but seems well maintained. So why the one star? after the local representative showed me the place, as a first step for me with any gym i decide about, was asking to provide a few days to try it out. I was informed that they don't do that. When i mentioned that their web site is even highlighting the option to try , which makes complete sense before commit (almost any store allow x period of time to return a product), but she insistent that they do not do that anymore following covid, which makes absolutely no sense give the time that has passed. She just said, sign a contract , do a week and then you can cancel, which is not only not true , but also scamming the client to sign a contract, which i certainty wouldn't do. After back and forth, she called the owner/manager and in front of me let him know that there is "40%" of this client joining. Not only this is disrespectful for the client, but also wrong. The manger/owner allowed for one time visit access to assess the place. I then asked about the membership, and was looking a month to month as we are in 2024 and most places do not require contract, and i certainty do not want to commit with reality of rapid changes in life. So they offer bi-weekly contract for 2 years is around $50+ per month, the bi-weekly contract for 1 year is around $70+ per month and get this, the month with no contract is $90+!!!! So there's a slight difference between 2y to 1y contract (which is already among the highest in the city) and there is over $20 difference for the month to month. With that price I can get a membership to the new NW YMCA with gym, pool, basketball court, and classes and still remain with change ($84). After that visit and above discussion with the rep, I didn't even feel eager for the one visit they so 'generously' allowed to try the place. Its amazing how on the same day i went to a nearby Goodlife , and not only they gave me a week pass to try the location with no effort on my end, but also do not require contract and much lower membership fee. I understand anytime is a franchise based business model, so perhaps ill check another branch, maybe the policies and attitude would be better.

Not having exercised for a long time, I was apprehensive but when I met and got to know him I knew that he was the perfect coach for me. 
He is professional yet kind, knowledgeable, patient and understanding. His encouragement gave me the confidence that I needed to start the program. After two short months, I am pleased with my progress and feel assured that the training gave me good results and attained my goal.I am extremely grateful for his time, knowledge and help. As a result I am feeling healthy and fit. With John, I have made breakthroughs in understanding my own physical limits and, what works and what doesn’t. He is not only very good at his job, but is an immensely kind person. A great life-coach in the making! I recommend him highly.

Expérience fantastique: I worked with a personal trainer (PT) named John for 7 months, and he gave me a life-changing experience in that time! I initially decided to go with John because of the story behind why he does what he does. He's been a PT for over 13 years, and has a burning passion for getting people to their fitness goals. He's very capable of analyzing your health and fitness level, and is not in it just to make some quick cash off of your time. During these 7 months, my workout program had changed several times, where John catered them to my own personal goals. First, we focused on building a baseline of strength as a foundation for my body as a whole. After that base was established, we built over that baseline over and over, and just kept gaining momentum in the gym every single session, achieving new personal bests on a weekly basis. Lastly, we started catering my exercises to burning fat, while still gaining muscle at the same time. I was also on a nutrition plan with John for the first month of this part of training. After 3 months of this phase of training, I had achieved 23 lbs of weight loss, while still reaching new milestones in weight training. John has been an amazing coach, trainer and friend altogether. I now have a great set of knowledge about many different exercises and understand how it looks and feels to do those exercises properly. I also have someone I consider as a good friend, whether I'm a client of his or not. I would still be training with John today, but unfortunately I've moved to another city for work. Thank you John for all the time and effort you invested into my health and well-being. I wish you all the best in everything you do, take care bro!

Expérience fantastique: This gym restored my faith & opinion in Anytime. We have tried almost all gyms in sage hill, and by a mountain slide this sage hill anytime was the winner.After previous negative experiences at another anytime gym years prior, my partner and I came to this one. The staff and especially the owner have been welcoming and over and beyond helpful. The owner listens to requests for equipment, and almost every time we have requested equipment it’s shown up a couple of weeks later. On top of this, the gym is quiet, clean and in perfect working order. We won’t be moving for a loooong time. Even better - no kids.

Expérience négative: MISLEADING! 1. I booked a trial in the website in November. But they told me they no longer provided any trials when I visited in person. 2. They didn’t make it clear when I signed the contract. They didn’t mention it was a yearly contract. I didn’t even get a copy of the contract neither in paper nor email. I wasn’t aware that it was a yearly contract until I tried to cancel the membership. No matter what, I can’t cancel it within one year.

Expérience fantastique: John is an excellent trainer and an even better friend, I met with multiple trainers prior to choosing to go with John and the thing that set him apart was his willingness to actually proactively listen and ask meaningful questions not just offer his services. Being a trainer and chef by profession he was able to provide a unique experience that combined both nutrition and training which is a lot more than the average trainer is able to offer. The atmosphere during our sessions was always a positive one, he always pushed me to achieve my goals because he understood them throughly prior to starting any of our sessions. John is very adaptable in every way you want your trainer to be from payment schedules, availability and knowing where you’re at any given day. The motivation and more importantly the discipline that working with John helped me establish is something I am now able to apply to my workouts on my own. I was very happy by the end our sessions with the support I got all around, from meal prep plans, recipes, workouts, and supplement recommendations. If you’re looking for a trainer and are unsure of who to go with you’d be doing yourself a disservice to not at least get a consultation with John!

They allowed me to pray in a clean room in the back and made me feel very comfortable and ready to crush some weights. No complaints, but I would suggest investing in a couple power bars, the bars here have no knurling in the centre so squats get a little sketchy. I am updating my rating as the owner called me personally to let me know he is purchasing the requested bar right away. I have been to many gyms, but this is the first one that actually cared about the equipment members suggested. Well done anytime fitness sage hill!

Expérience fantastique: Been with this gym a while. The owner has two locations. Both are amazing. The owner treats his clients with such respect. I have never been treated with the upmost respect from an owner before. The atmosphere is great. The clients, and the employees are the best to be around. Makes you want to get up and go to the gym.

Expérience négative: I have never been to this location but I called in to seek information about their trials and memberships. I was finding a new gym in town and saw that this gym was close to my place. The person speaking to me over the phone stated that they do not provide any trials and the owner knew that it was still on the website, meaning their website is misleading. She did not seem very helpful/careless with providing me information. The prices for a membership was higher than other gyms. I’ve contacted goodlife and they were willing to go above and beyond with providing me information and offered a trial.

Expérience fantastique: Has to be the best Anytime Fitness in Calgary. Very spacious compared to the other Anytime’s, and has so much more equipment options; and they’re very new. I had a slight issue with my payment plan but after having a quick chat with an employee, we got it all sorted out. I have to say they have the nicest employees compared to other Anytime gyms!

Lots of space and natural light. Hanif (owner) and staff have done an amazing job at ensuring it is a great experience for gym members. I also love the flexibility of being able to "take my membership with me" when travelling. I've used my access-token in other gyms in North America, including Mexico, and no issues. Expérience négative: Came down here two weeks ago on a Monday asked the lady who was working here if she could change the game on tv to the cowboys vs chargers nfl game and she denied it right way saying I cannot do it because I’m off in couple minutes when it was only 7:30 and the hours of operations are till 8. But the fact that the day before Scott did it for me was just crazy. She was not welcoming at all but Scott was great!

Expérience positive: Almost peak luxury gym! Very modern gym with new equipment. To get 5 stars, this gym should have shower towels, and more hooks for clothing and bags in the bathrooms. Also, the shower didn't work in the larger bathroom on my visit... had to get dressed again and pack up just to unpack in another shower room.

He has a big heart and make it his priority to get to each and every person that comes to the gym on a first name basis and does his best to make it home for all.
