Expérience fantastique: Nice gym

Expérience négative: Been there for three times, don’t understand as a government run place,why all the receptionists all so impatient,you can’t say they are actually rude,they use words seems polite but you can see on her face ,by the tone,how they not happy with talking with you, you can’t feel any welcome here, like you guys are begging to pay to go to the gym here.I understand sometimes it is busy, but it is definitely not the reason to have attitude like that.

Expérience négative: I visited the YMCA on December 18, 2024, around 7 PM, to explore membership options and brought my sister’s family along. They had just moved to Canada the day before, and this was their first experience in the country. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an unwelcoming one. The person assigned to give us a tour was incredibly disengaged. He showed no passion or interest in introducing us to the facility and didn’t speak a single word throughout the entire tour. Instead of explaining the amenities, he simply followed us around. When I asked about the swimming pool, he silently led us there without offering any information. This behavior made my sister’s family feel very unwelcomed, and it left me thoroughly disappointed. Based on this experience, I would not consider becoming a member of the YMCA.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym but one receptionist is super rude, and honestly makes the gym experience unpleasant, so glad when she isn’t at the front desk. But yeah overall good gym!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve read all these comments and I agree to disagree,I’ve been going here for the past year now and this is what I’ve noticed: the facility is cleaned almost daily, equipments are in shape (and free) example the rackets for squash, table tennis equipment and more, they seem to never run out of toilet paper lol, and the gym provides you with a free sauna shower, pool, boxing bag, gym, running strip, squash court biking room, dance room, stretching area, locker rooms small shop for food/drinks and so much more. All of this included in your yearly, monthly or even day pass. (P.S there’s a Popeyes 5 min walk away for supplements) About the Negatives: parking is limited, boxing mat and couch is extra pay (understandable), small range of equipment, and no energy drinks

Expérience négative: This is not a bona fide company! They posted an ad with an error for attending the event and sent a letter. that you need to come and register. It took an hour and a half to get there. When I arrived, they told me that there were age restrictions. I wasted my time because of someone's irresponsibility.

Expérience négative: I went to the gym a couple of times and every single time I experienced poor customer service. Especially the receptionists. I understand that it is a busy gym and it can get frustrating for them. But this was the case every time I went there.

Expérience négative: WE NEED MORE BADMINTON!!!! I have no idea why you only open for 3 hours some days and give them all to pickleball, there’s literally nobody playing that sport.

Expérience négative: Used to be the sports hub for the whole Westisland area. Great equipment, facilities, track, and group classes and the community with fair membership fees. Now look at it. If you have checked the fees+offered classes u know what I am talking about. The partnership with pointeclaire was a bad idea.

Expérience positive: A bit crowded sometimes, but you can do almost all the sports and training here.

Expérience fantastique: This place has improved a lot, the memberships prices are great for all the things they offer there! The changing rooms are as well amazing! Vaper room, hut tub spa, sort of a living room with sofas so you can relax , nice showers, I go there to run on the track, also very nice when it's-25 outside! Everything is clean and new!

Expérience négative: Trainers are pretty rude. Membership is expensive. Hours are not long enough. Not enough bench press benches and way too many ellipticals that no one uses. Overall not really worth the $$

Expérience positive: The lighting of the GYM is not professional, it is dazzling for badminton players, and the two ends of the GYM are dark and hopefulthat they can solve this problem as soon as possible!

Expérience négative: I’ve been staking my 9mth baby to the pool for months now and today they suddenly asked me to register my baby for a guest pass or else she needs a membership of 9$ biweekly. This is ridiculous. That can a baby do at ymca westisland?

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to YMCA in Montreal for 15 years and to this particular one exclusively for 6 years. Premises are always very clean, staff is friendly, parking is very limited and very hard to find a place sometimes during the day. Weight room is crowded mostly during peak hours after work; otherwise you have plenty of space and people are very nice to each other. Classes are very fun and diverse. Some might find it overpriced but they offer more than a gym: senior activities, youth centre, daycare, summer camps... A great place for everyone in the community.

Expérience négative: Will only accept credit card monthly payment. So when you want to leave they will charge you another month. Rude staff. Outdated equipment. Will charge and add on a membership fee. Go to a real gym.

Expérience fantastique: Nice clean pool with super well trained staff. Make sure to follow all the rules and guidelines, if you don't, you will be informed!

Expérience fantastique: Je m'entraine a ce YMCA depuis plus de 20 ans maintenant les cours sont super , les professeurs cest une petite famille j'adore cette place je le conseille a tous le monde !!!

Expérience positive: Have been a member for over 25 years. Not cheap but good equipment and well maintained and clean.

Expérience négative: Got robbed 3 times in 9 months. Not going back ever. Don't recommend this place to anyone.

Expérience négative: The weight room is always crowded. No matter how early you go or how late there's too many people. People bring their kids and they play with all the machines. People constantly rest on the machine. The equipment is old but the showers are nice.

Expérience positive: Friendly nice volenteers.Very good plus section .clean .parking a problem sometimes.only really bad is the very limited 6 TV channels!!! one being CNN n in Canadian YMCA .When Canadian CBC equivalent exists....
