Expérience négative: Disappointing Experience at Orangetheory Lionhead – Prioritizing Profits Over People ( this review is on behalf of my husband) and dont ask us to call to discuss rather the disappointed customers should be reached out from your end . •Lack of Compassion and Flexibility: Despite facing a genuine emergency, the staff at this location showed zero flexibility or understanding. We contacted the studio multiple times in advance to cancel a booking, but our request was refused without any consideration for our circumstances. •Rigid Policies Over Customer Care: The studio enforces policies with little to no room for understanding or exceptions. In our case, even after explaining the emergency, we were told that no exception could be made, regardless of the circumstances. It honestly feels like the studio prioritizes its revenue over customer satisfaction. •Poor Customer Service: Instead of resolving the issue or offering any solutions, the staff simply ignored our concerns. The lack of urgency to address the situation, and the dismissive attitude we encountered, was incredibly frustrating. At this point, we feel that Orangetheory at Lionhead needs to re-evaluate their approach to customer service. It's incredibly disheartening to see a gym that claims to care about members’ well-being treating their paying customers with such indifference. We expected a little more compassion and a lot less bureaucracy. I hope the management will take this feedback seriously, as it would be a shame for more members to feel the same frustration we did.
Hi Farah Mansoori I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment. I'd love to discuss your issues further however we've never had a client under your last name visit our studio. You're asking us to call you but we literally have no idea who you are so that's impossible. It's sad to see someone who's never been to our studio make a false review over what we can only guess is a personal vendetta against one of our staff. You've never walked in our doors but you're confident we treat our customers poorly? I hope nobody ever makes up and post lies about you on the internet. For anyone reading this review we encourage you to come into the studio or reach out to any of our members and ask them if any of this is true. They'll all tell you we're very flexible and understanding when it comes to emergencies and customer care!
Expérience négative: I am extremely disappointed with the unethical practices at Orangetheory, Lionhead location in Brampton. Despite explaining a genuine and urgent situation, I was treated with complete disregard and had no support from the staff, particularly from Jamal at the front desk. I had called multiple times hours in advance to cancel my booking, but Jamal refused to accommodate my request, even after explaining my emergency. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, he simply ignored my situation and focused on enforcing policies that seem designed to maximize profits rather than genuinely help members. When I eventually managed to make my way to the studio, I again asked for an exception to be made, but was met with rude behavior and a firm rejection. It is clear that customer care is not a priority here, and the only focus is on making money—regardless of the circumstances or the validity of a member's situation. I will not be recommending Orangetheory to anyone. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of empathy, especially when dealing with real-life issues. This experience has left me questioning the values of this location and the company as a whole.

Expérience négative: These companies seem only focused on money. I returned in February and froze my account. They called to restart my membership fees, but I said I couldn't pay. They agreed to freeze my account, yet each month I informed them I still couldn’t pay. After emailing the manager to cancel, I was told the cancellation fee would be $189, but I explained I had no money at the time. But they are agree to cut cancellation fee from next month..Despite this, they started deducting membership fees instead. It feels like they’re just after money, pretending to help but only pushing for payments. This has caused me frustration and financial stress.
Hello Chandeep we understand you are frustrated about your situation but leaving false reviews is not going to help the situation. Your freeze ended in April and when we contacted you in April about it you asked to cancel. We informed you of the 30 day cancellation policy and told you that you'll need to fill out a cancellation form to cancel. You then ignored us until September 3rd when we finally spoke on the phone. You then emailed the manager asking for a pause on your account until September 25th due to your financial situation. You said you would come in on the 25th to cancel for your outstanding dues. We have yet to see or hear from you until today when you left this review. Please reach out to us ASAP so we can sort out your situation. Thanks!

Hello Shahzaib I'm sorry you feel hard done by but the reason there were no spots was because someone on the waitlist filled yours. Every Orangetheory has a Late Arrival Policy that's under the Rules and Policies section of the Membership Agreement. The policy states "We enforce a strict late arrival policy. If you are not present when the class begins your spot may be given to a standby member/guest. If you are more than 5 minutes late for your class, you may not be permitted to enter the class and may forfeit a membership or package session or be charged for the class session as set forth above." You arrived at our studio at 7:07 which was 7 minutes after the class started and by then we had given your spot to one of the standby members. I understand you've come past the 5 minute mark in the past and were able to enter but that was because your spot was not given away. You'll be happy to know we didn't take away one of your sessions because you attempted to come and we hope you continue to enjoy your sessions with us :)

Hi Aditya, you have not moved since joining at our studio. You joined to take advantage of a referral promo, fully knowing you'd need to fill out paperwork in Brampton. You even signed a cancellation form the day you signed up in case you wanted to cancel after your commitment and weren't able to make the trip from Oakville to fill out the form. We understand that you're frustrated but that doesn't mean you should lie and slander a small business.

Expérience fantastique: If you are looking to start working out and get bored at the gym - you need to come here. The staff here is great and they really push you to deliver your best at every workout session. I hate going to the gym and have spent a lot on memberships but haven't visited in weeks. I have been to a couple of classes already at orange theory and even though I am super sore (regretting why I am doing this during the workout), I still end up going on their app to book another class 8-) Try out their free class if you can !

Expérience fantastique: I love working out at Orangetheory! Every class I attend has a great vibe! The coaches are fantastic and so attentive to everyone, it almost feels like personal training. They keep you motivated during the entire workout and push you to give your best. I feel amazing after every class! There are different music themes and signature workouts every month to keep things exciting. The front desk staff is super helpful. I like the way that they do business, they are very professional and ethical. They have some great perks - especially with the unlimited classes membership. I love the fact that you can freeze your membership - helps you take those vacations guilt-free! Overall Orangetheory Brampton is a wonderful and happening gym to get an effective workout everyday!

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was energetic and welcoming. The staff was friendly and professional, making me feel right at home, even as a first-timer. The workout itself was intense but incredibly rewarding. The combination of cardio, strength training, and rowing kept things dynamic and engaging. I appreciated how the workout was tailored to my fitness level, with the option to push harder or scale back as needed. I’ve been to about 5 classes and I cannot recommend orange theory enough. It will be my go to gym to tell people about moving forward.

Expérience négative: Worst place to go to when it comes to cancel the membership. I got ankle injury. And I been calling them to cancel my membership. As I was not able to drive, I requested them to cancel over phone and they been keep on saying same thing over and over that I have to come in person to do so and meanwhile they kept charging me every month. I had sent them doctor note and all the required documents to cancel my membership. After back and forth of so many emails and calls they told me ask someone to drop a signed paper on my behalf and they can freeze membership till I return. They have already charged me for two months that I never even used and now asking me again to same amount before they allow me to cancel my membership. Please think twice to join this gym. Management has no respect for anyone’s time and money. They make you run in circles until they make extra money in the name of their policies. I was simply told when I joined the gym that I can cancel anytime without paying any cancellation charges. This gym is not worth it. They don’t deserve any stars. Please don’t send me a whole explanation in response to my concern. please charge whatever the money you need on the name of your policies and kindly cancel my membership! I would appreciate it.
Hi Rachna I'm surprised by your review. We have a ton of respect for our members time and money which is why we 1. Reached out to you when you weren't coming to class and 2. Why we made an exception for you with your freeze for injury 3. We reached out to you multiple times when you wanted to freeze and then cancel your membership. We are unable to make changes to any membership without the corresponding paperwork as these are written contracts. This protects both parties from any unauthorized changes and is why cancellations cannot be done over the phone. Our contracts all have a 30 day cancellation policy that requires written consent. These details are told to every member who joins and are included in the membership contract that you signed and we emailed to you. The 30 day cancellation policy is also on our price presentation board we use to show people the prices. There is no "cancellation fee". Once you give us written consent to terminate your membership you have full access to every OTF in Canada until your membership is terminated. We also do not handle cancellations through Google Reviews so we highly encourage you to respond to our calls and emails to resolve your membership issue. There are reviews where people also had cancellation issues and every single one is because they misremembered the cancellation policy. If you Google "Orangetheory Cancellation Policy" it's on the Wikipedia page. We are very transparent and consistent when it comes to our policies.

Expérience négative: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM. Trainers keep telling you, you are doing great but fact is they don’t want to take efforts to correct your moves. You will keep doing wrong exercises until you end up with injury which happened to me and one other person. I requested them to pause my membership due to injury but they didn’t allow. There are some trainers who are just there to keep talking to friends in gym and don’t care about what you are doing. All they care is total calories burnt in the gym. Daniel always runs 7-10 mins short classes. ALSO BEWARE of sudden extra charges on your credit card for things you are never told in advance. If you really care about your health and wellness never ever go here
Hi Megha we're disheartened to here you would lie about our small business. 1. We have amazing coaches who are dedicated to helping our members reach their goals including a ton of beginners who we help with constant form corrections. They aren't "talking to friends" they're connecting with the members and giving them the customized class experience the deserve. 2. When you said you were moving for 6 months we offered to pause your membership and you declined this. We have never refused to pause someone's membership. You also never mentioned an injury when you spoke to us. 3. Your goal was weight loss and calorie burn plays a big role in that. It's not our only focus but we do educate our members on the role calorie burn has on their results. 4. Although the classes are 60 minutes long. The OTBeat clock is always stopped before the stretching is done as we prepare for the next class. 5. There are no hidden charges. We told you the cost of Marathon Month during our class announcements and the cost was also on the signup sheet. 6. We highly encourage anyone who has second guesses to try a class or check out our social media page full of happy members who are apart of an amazing community and getting great results!

They don’t seem to take this issue up with their support staff and the service remains satisfactory. Also cancelling you membership isn’t an option it seems as they seem to keep on charging there customers even after having hand signatures confirming cancellation.

Me and my husband cancelled our membership in March, we signed the cancellation form and the gym is still charging us!! I called them today to ask why I have charges on my credit card and they said they’re not sure why because they have our signed forms, they told me to contact their gym manager and regional manger who don’t even respond to email! Soo frustrated with this place! Would never recommend!
Hello Sufera we're sorry to hear you've had a less than stellar experience with us. You and your husband ignored multiple attempts to reach out to you in 2023 when you both had numerous missed payments. When the regional manager finally got a hold of you they worked out a deal to have you return without charging you for the missed payments. You then ignored all followups they made and didn't fill out a cancellation form until March of the next year. You still have several owed payments on your account so we highly suggest reaching out to management to work out a repayment plan before your account goes into default and is sent to collections.

This seems to be their business model. I have been charged multiple times for "late cancellation" of classes, but the real issue is their app, which is full of technical glitches. Despite raising this issue multiple times, I only received a refund once. I have a record of how many times I’ve been charged due to their faulty app. Moreover, they charged me for two months after I cancelled my membership, even though I had already paid according to their cancellation policy. They are always ready to charge you, but their staff never takes responsibility for their mistakes. When it comes to money, they are quick to charge, but when it comes to fulfilling their responsibilities as staff members, their customer service is non-existent. They do not acknowledge their mistakes or follow their own rules. This is fraud! RESPONSE TO THE OWNER's REPLY ON THIS REVIEW Isn't it the responsibility of your assistant manager to inform customers by which date they need to submit the cancellation form to avoid further charges? When I informed your assistant manager about my intent to cancel, she explained the first and last month policy and told me that my final payment would be on April 25th. I acknowledged and understood this, and I was charged on April 25th, assuming it would be my last payment. However, she failed to inform me during the call about the deadline for submitting the cancellation form. Due to this miscommunication, or perhaps intentional omission, I ended up signing the form after my billing cycle date. Despite understanding and agreeing to your policies, when a customer requests to cancel their membership, it is your responsibility to clearly state the deadline for submitting the necessary forms to avoid additional charges. The assistant manager did not mention this crucial date during our call, but conveniently entered a comment in the OTF system under my name, stating that I needed to submit the form before April 25th. When I disputed this and mentioned she hadn't informed me of the deadline, I was told that nothing could be done because I had signed the contract, and I was charged again on May 25th. I requested proof of the call recording, as the studio manager claimed there was a call log and a comment under my name indicating that I had been informed of the deadline. My request was denied, and they failed to provide any proof. Clearly, if your staff makes a mistake, which in this case was a miscommunication by the assistant manager, it should not be the customer's fault. Accept the truth! I have contacted OTF numerous times and have received the same response each time. If there has been a miscommunication by the assistant manager, they must either acknowledge the mistake or provide evidence to clarify the situation. In the absence of proof, it will be concluded that the assistant manager is at fault. To the readers: Please check other reviews. I am not the only one who has experienced similar issues with miscommunication.

If you have proof of additional charges please email management and we'd be happy to refund it! All of our contracts have a minimum 2-month commitment. They are all rolling month to month contracts with a 30 day cancellation policy. These details are told to every member who joins and are included in the membership contract you sign and we email to you. The 30 day cancellation policy is also on our price presentation board we use to show people the prices.There are reviews where people also had cancellation issues and every single one is because they misremembered the cancellation policy. If you Google "Orangetheory Cancellation Policy" it's on the Wikipedia page. We are very transparent and consistent when it comes to our policies. You were also a member with us in the past so all of these policies were explained to you at least twice. This is your second cancellation with us and both times the cancellation policy was explained and applied the exact same way. Both times you had to fill out a form and I am more than confident our assistant manager, who is literally everyone's favourite employee, told you the correct details. I'm unsure of what huge mistake our staff made but please reach out to management and we'd be happy to talk about it! RESPONSE TO THE EDIT As we said before we clearly outlined and explained the cancellation policy to you. We can't give you a refund because you forgot what we said or even worse lied about us telling you when to cancel. TO THE READERS: If you check the reviews they're always about people misunderstanding or forgetting the cancellation policy. As we've said in other responses we are very transparent with our cancellation policy and if you Google OTF Cancellation policy it also says it's a 30 day cancellation policy. If you come in and talk to us we'll tell you the same thing. We never lie or hide it. Also the miscommunication issues are people lying about us because they're upset. If we could post the call logs and emails on these reviews we would. It's disheartening to see people leave false reviews because they're upset but that's unfortunately the world we live in. Hopefully you come in and experience it for yourself! You also don't have to worry about the cancellation policy because you've seen us post about it online numerous times.

Hi Raj I'm sorry to hear that your experience with us was less than stellar. We don't offer any memberships online so we also don't do cancellations online. If we signed people up online I can assure you we would also allow them to cancel online but this is not the case. We had several staff members, including two managers, reach out to you and were in constant communication about your membership and cancellation. We don't see how we could've given you any better customer service or attention but we wish you all the best in your future fitness endeavours!

I have the right to be upset that the gym was close, even though the government allowed them to be open. During specific time in covid. They consider anything that I request is harassment. Block me on Instagram for whatever reason but I never harassed. Lying about your client says a lot about you. They charged me 5 times for April. I called them being so emotional but they considered it harassment?! They agreed to refund me for 3 charges. It took 8 business days. I email them to say I got it. They try to charge me the 3 that was refund. Only 2 charges went through. This is intent to inflect harm upon me. Because I wrote a review. I have Autism and told them my problems yet they think they can get away with stealing my money. Fake review
Hussam please stop leaving fake reviews between the two studios. As stated before once you told us about your medical issues we refunded you and worked out a repayment plan. You were screaming at our staff and were upset when asked to apologize and treat our staff with respect. You were also upset that the manager wasn't yelling at you when you came in and tried being aggressive. Our staff no longer feels safe because of your aggressive behaviour. None of our staff owes you access to their social media accounts. You were blocked because you were harassing them in the past and even then we allowed you to return to the gym when you apologized. We terminated your account because of your continued harassment of staff despite all of our efforts to work with you. Please stop harassing and leaving fake reviews on your multiple fake accounts. We ask that you move on otherwise we may be forced to escalate this to law enforcement.

Hello Ashish we're sorry to hear you're disappointed with our customer service even though we have been in constant communication with you. You along with other people may be frustrated with the freeze or cancellation process but unfortunately there is nothing we can do. Your membership is a contract which means any changes to your membership require the appropriate paperwork. This protects you and it protects us as well. This was communicated to you by several staff members including the head coach who doesn't deal with the paperwork side of the business. We did the best to help you during the birth of your newborn and you turned around and tried to scam us. We wish you the best and hope in the future that you treat other small businesses and people who try to help you better than you treated us.
Expérience positive: Following are few points for 3 star ratings. 1) not flexible - it is based upon group work out, you cannot go any time you want , mostly they have 8/9 time slots in a day from 5 am to 8 pm , and most are in our normal working time , and for non- working time ( after 5 pm) it is crowded, so if you forget to add class ( from your app) you might be eligible to do work out even if you run to do work out then also you might not get your station ( you are prioritized at last ). If you already book and if you miss / no show , your missed class is also counted against your class . If you have unlimited class then they might charge you( they might allow you for one or two class but not more ) . If you are 5 min late to your scheduled class, you might not your station. 2) They are charging heart rate monitor which if you get inside to use if you are not life members. They ask for at least $120 + tax or per use $ 10 per class . 3) you cannot turn on your music or have your headphones on when your are doing workouts. 4) for most of the time in weekends it is already full you have to be proactive and book well in advance . 5) they have 12 trade mills, 12 rovers and 12 floor work stations in small two rooms. And each people get 15/20 min for each type of workout. So if you take long time to adjust on one type of workouts, you miss your time. They finish one hour workout in max 54/55 minutes. 6) trade mill work out is good- the way they have designed is good. (One star) 7) it is costly - so if you take 4 session on a month it cost to you around $25 per session($99 + tax), but for 8 session a month, it would be around $ 15-18 per session($150 + tax ). For unlimited sessions it is relatively cheap but it cost to you $200 a month(+ tax) 8) coaches are wonderful , but due to avg 30/33 people in a class they might not pay attention to your workouts specially floor workouts, but if you call them they are guiding you properly. ( one star) 9) their equipment are really good but most of the time at least one equipment is out of order. (One star) Over all it is a good place for work out people are coming for 2/3 years straight but I feel it’s costly and not flexible as per my time schedule.
Hello Pinal thank you for leaving such a detailed review we appreciate you feedback and this response will address all of your concerns. 1. We are a class based fitness studio. We have never advertised ourselves as anything else. The majority of our classes are actually before or after working hours. We only have 2 classes during a typical 9-5 day. 2. Everyone who has a Heartrate Monitor purchased it or it was included in a promotion when they joined. We do not show any favouritism and always charge for the loaners as they are subject to a lot of wear and tear. 3. No group fitness classes allow you to listen headphones while working out. The coaches give instructions over the mic and you would not be able to hear them otherwise. 4. We have plenty of spaces in our weekend classes. The only fully booked ones are our Strength classes which have limited spaces. The majority of our classes do not have a waitlist the day of. We are also in the process of training new coaches so we can expand the class schedule. 5. The workouts are an hour long. 5 minutes are for the warm up and 5 minutes are for the cool down. There's 23 minutes on the floor and 23 minutes on the treadmill. The remaining 4 minutes are for transitions from the treadmill to the floor or vice versa. 6. I'm not sure why you said the treadmill workouts are great and then said 1 star, but we agree the treadmill workouts are awesome! 7. The prices per class are in line with if not cheaper than other group fitness studios. We are a fitness studio and not a big box gym. We cost more because we offer more and are more comparable to affordable personal training. Instead of paying $70 a session for PT you can pay as low as $12 a session and receive the same results. 8. The vast majority of our classes have a capacity of 24 people. Even then half of those people are on the treadmill walking or running so they don't need much form correction. The remaining 12 people are working on the floor and the coaches pay most of their attention to them. We train extensively on watching members and ensuring we correct and assist their form while challenging those who need to be challenged. 9. At most we have had a couple of treadmills down for servicing. The majority of the time all of our stations are working. You may be confusing a cone used to reserve the station for someone using the bike or strider for a cone meaning the station is down. We work with a wide range of members from people who have never been on a treadmill before to people who were former high level athletes. We're able to adjust the workout to the individual and have options for everyone to see results with us. We are open 7 days a week and have members from the busiest professions ie. nurses, paramedics, truck drivers, shift workers who take our classes consistently. If anybody reading this doubts the effectiveness I suggest taking a free trial class and experiencing what we have to offer for yourself!

We understand you may be frustrated by the cancellation process but we literally could not have processed your cancellation any earlier than we did. You were reaching out to us about cancelling while you were a member at a different location that we have no control over. We suggest reaching out to your previous studio if you're frustrated by the cancellation process.
Expérience négative: Absolutely horrible customer service. STAY AWAY! Trying to cancel my membership with OrangeTheory has been a saga of frustration and disappointment. Despite my repeated attempts since October 2023 to end my membership, I've been continuously charged, including a hefty $220 for February, for services I haven't utilized since July since I moved away from the location. Initially, in October 2023, I visited the studio to cancel, only to be urged to put it on hold until January to avoid cancellation fees. I informed them as long as they cancel it in January and they said yes. When I resumed in January, I promptly called to ensure January's payment would be the last. Upon calling, I was told I had to come to sign another set of papers as a formality with the same person I talked to in October. I had made sure that I could come anytime on the weekend due to my relocation far away from the office. However, upon visiting on a Sunday, I was informed I should have come on Friday at the latest, rendering cancellation uncertain which was not communicated to me over the phone. I was told due to the history logs captured from October of my attempts, a manager could help resolve the issue and override and ensure I am not charged for February. However, promises of a manager's call went unfulfilled, leaving me stuck in another cycle of charge. Once, I finally got an email response from the manager today, she was not helpful at all and was extremely cold and unwilling to be understanding and kept pushing their services that I could use till march instead of focusing on the situation I reached out to her for. The miscommunication and mishandling of my cancellation request showcase a systemic failure in customer service at Orangetheory. It's clear they prioritize extracting fees over fulfilling promises and respecting their customers' time and effort. Save yourself the headache and money; steer clear of this gym!

They will charge you for one EXTRA month even though it’s month to month membership. They need to learn how to value their members.
Hi Bushra we're sorry to hear you feel like this especially after the numerous times we've gone out of our way to accomodate you when it comes to membership rules and policies. We are very transparent with our cancellation process and do not hide it from anyone. The cancellation policy is included on our price presentation board, you have to inital plus sign saying that you agree to and understand that specific portion when joining, and it's even on the OTF wikipedia page. For anybody reading this wondering in order to cancel you must give 30 days notice cancellation. This means you need to give us 30 days notice to cancel. If your next billing date falls within that cycle you'll be charged and have access to the studio for another month. This is standard practice for most gyms and is not hidden at any point of the signup process.

The studio needs some attention from owners on general maintenance as there's been numerous requests to change water filter but no one seems to care about it. In regards to the water filter it was changed at least 2 months ago. The light was solid red before which meant the filter needed to be changed. It is blinking red now which means there is an issue with the circuitry which only the lower water fountain works.

Hi! We have changed the filter in the water bottle station. There's an error in the circuit board which is why the light flashes red. A solid light means the filter needs to be changed while a flashing light means that there is a circuit error. I hope this clears up any confusion!

Be ready to sweat. He'll make you shoot for the moon. You'll feel like you're flying on the treadmill. The other instructors are great too. Good energy at this location.

Expérience fantastique: OTF Lionhead location - I’ve been a member of this location for more then 3 months now. I saw the reviews before taking the trial classes and decided to share my experience so far. To start with, the front desk team is really helpful and they explained the entire process (initial 3 month contract, membership rules) and charges in detail ( membership freeze, termination notice, class cancellations etc.). The classes are good, a mix of Cardio and weight exercises, the floor exercises are majorly with your body weight or dumbbells. Coaches are great as well and they assist you with your workout forms and also help you to achieve your goals. Their concept of Group classes is really good as you make friends and you do some team workout as well. You have your dedicated work out stations, Treads and rowers so you dont have to wait for a free space to do your workout (which is really great). They have multiple slots available for classes which helps you to match your schedule. They also organize monthly activities/events to introduce variations in the workout and keep the workouts interesting and your spirits elevated. I would definitely recommend them with 5 star rating.

Expérience négative: Terrible Experience in regards to freezing my account. I joined OTF in 2022 April and within 1 month of being regular at gym, I developed issue with my knees. I provided doctor note to freeze my account. OTF unfroze my account after a month and charge 200$ on my credit card. I have not been well and I tried to contact admin staff multiple times, they accursed me that coach will contact me and reverse the charges. But Head coach Caprisse or anyone else never contacted me and I never heard back anything from anyone. I contacted them again and this time around, admin staff changed they story that I was supposed to pay the monthly fee after a month and no one was supposed to contact me. I again requested a call back from coach to dispute the charges, but no one contacted me back. Terrible experience. When it comes to freezing your account. No accountability. I don't recommended anyone and I wont be going back either.
Hi Supreet, I'm sorry your experience with us has been less than stellar. The original freeze form you filled out stated you wanted to freeze for "1 month". Once this freeze ended you visited us 10 days later and requested an indefinite freeze with a doctors note. Your account has been on freeze since then so I'm unsure of how to resolve the issue. I eventually did not attend even a class as I had an emergency that would prevent me from visiting the gym. I went to the lionhead location where I signed up to ask for a cancelation. 3months down the line, I'm still being charged. Was informed on the 3rd charge that I had signed an at least 3months contract. Sneaky bunch. Save yourself the stress. Go elsewhere with transparent terms. Worst experience ever in any establishment

At the time of my joining, I expressed that I was a new mom to a 5 month old baby and was looking for something active to participate in to get back into the swing of things postpartum. The times offered at OTF were difficult for me to make - other than the weekends. I expressed that I wanted to trial for ONE month and then revisit my membership after the month to see how I would get on with the gym and times offered (being a new mom you are limited). I tried calling to freeze my account and was unable to do so - told I had to come in to the store. Well the reason I wanted to freeze was because I COULDNT come in to the store…. Duh? So I figured oh well I’m out the money for the month I just paid. Then May rolls around and I notice another charge on my credit card for OTF. When I call to ask why- they told me I signed a contract that would automatically withdrawal each month unless I came in to cancel 30 days prior. None of this was made clear to me upon my first visit. I would NOT have signed up for this had I known- again because I’m a first time mom and did not know how I’d manage. So I went in to the store to cancel- and was then told I would also be charged in June because it wasn’t 30 days notice. OTF has AWFUL customer service- they steal your money- and take zero measures to resolve customer issues. DO NOT SIGN UP- terrible experience.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been a member at this studio since it opened in March 2020 and had been a member at a different OTF location since 2019 before that (I switched due to location). If you are looking for an effective means of committing to a healthy lifestyle and be surrounded by a group to encourage you to always push your limits along your journey, OTF is for you. I am a daily attendee to the gym and always feel great after a good sweat at the class. Furthermore, as the classes are only one hour, it makes it super easy to work around my busy schedule. I have to say that Margaret’s team at Brampton Lionhead studio are top notch as they are friendly, courteous and always try to accommodate the exercises to individual ability and fitness level. Although pricing tends to be at the higher end if you are comparing it to your traditional gym, it is money very well spent as their program and coaching will ensure you exercise safely, always pushing your limits, without worrying about overdoing it.

Expérience négative: Absolutely horrible experience! Don’t believe I can even give the one star. Very poor customer service. I attended one class prior to the full COVID closure and paid $100 not aware of the impending full shut down. Tried multiple times to call and via email to cancel in fall 2020 and in 2021 - NO RESPONSE!! No returned phone calls or emails. Now two years later, I was contacted via email to inform me that I am still a member and am required to pay another month as I have not signed documents to officially cancel. I have only ever attended 1 class and it’s costing me $200+ because of a non responsive business. Hours of operation are limited and still no one answering their phones. I’m appalled that they can get away with this. BUYER BEWARE - absolutely horrible communication and business bullying tactics!!! They are not being reasonable- in the two years, not once was I offered the opportunity to digitally sign documents to cancel (considering the pandemic). I have been a gym goer my entire adult life and have never had the poor service and communication as I have received through this location. PLEASE consider going elsewhere to be treated with respect and fair business practices. Business owner if you are reading this - please reflect as you are practicing business bullying tactics - the least you can do is offer the opportunity to digitally sign for cancellation. I’ve spoken to other members who feel the same and are disappointed with your services and communication.

Expérience négative: No wonder this branch has such low stars. I walked in to inquire about class and inspite of explaining how orange theory works, we were asked to do a trial class. Me and my partner signed up for it. I had to call orange theory to cancel my free class and request a rearrangement, due to my husband s accident. Since, no one picked up, I left a voice note and no return call. What a service? I was so interested in joining the orange theory, but no communication and seems like they are least interested. Update to the owners response: please do not justify - I was called way after the whole incident - left the review because nothing was solved - not interested to call
Hi Amira we called you November 23 2021 after you missed your intro class and you told us you weren't interested anymore. I'm unsure of what we could've done to enhance your experience but if you like to talk further please call us at 905 799 1600 ext.2 and I'd love to rectify the issue! Expérience négative: EDIT2: I posted this review in 2022, the vaccination was approved in 2021 - Orangetheory's poor attempt at trying to make excuses instead of owning up to their mistakes and apologizing is honestly disheartening to see. At a loss for words. EDIT: Based on the link in the owner's reply, it clearly states that Canada approved this vaccine on November 23, 2021 so I'm not quite sure what the purpose of their reply was. Not only have they dodged accountability on this front but gone as far as to spread false information - very unprofessional. I signed up for a 6:30 AM trial class and arrived half an hour before as requested. I was denied entry at the door based solely on the fact that I took the first vaccine that was available to me (Johnson & Johnson). The woman at the counter simply followed her managers directions which were that they only allow those with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. I tried showing them proof that the J&J vaccine is one of the 4 accepted vaccines in Canada but they didn’t want to hear it. I was simply told that I had to leave and that Orange Theory Canada doesn’t recognize my vaccination. The blatant discrimination left me feeling humiliated, othered, and that I did something wrong by getting the first vaccine that I could - very negative experience.
EDIT 2: Canada didn't have any vaccination requirements in November 2022. We have been following the government guidelines every step of the way so we haven't required a vaccination since March 1st 2022. EDIT: You posted your original review November 22nd 2021. The vaccination was approved after this date and it was out of our control. Hi I'm sorry to hear about your poor experience. Unfortunately, at the time of your visit Canada still hadn't approved that vaccination (https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/drugs-health-products/covid19-industry/drugs-vaccines-treatments/vaccines/janssen.html). As I'm sure you. can understand what Canada does or doesn't approve is out of our control.
Expérience négative: Manager does not contact you (doesn’t matter if you call/email/try to escalate, etc.). You continue to get charged for cancelled memberships and receive continuous emails asking for your credit card information even after cancellation confirmation. Do not recommend this location.

Expérience négative: This is my experience with this center. Me and my wife joined the gym in March is 2020. I purchased a wrist monitor for my wife from them, which did not fit. I gave it back and then the person told me new ones will come next week. That’s when we went into lock down and the gym was closed. I tried calling them a couple of times to cancel the membership and each time they were like “you have received the promotion price .. keep it “. Finally, the gyms opened, and we were able to cancel our membership. When I asked for a refund of the amount I paid for the monitor, she was like the monitor purchase is non-refundable. I asked her to give me another monitor instead, they said they do not have it in stock and cannot give me one as they company does not make them anymore. Basically, they have taken our money and are now refusing to refund it nor are they willing give us another monitor. I would surely not go to this place ever again.

Tried to call and email to lion's head office and got no response. Front desk kept saying Manager will call you that never happened. No customer service no respect for the calls and messages. Pathetic experience. I will let all my friends and family know that never join Lion's Head as they are theifs and bunch of liars.

Expérience fantastique: I absolutely love this place! I have never been able to reach such heights in my overall fitness, health and welfare before joining the OTF family. The variety of workouts, music and energetic coach-lead group classes are just what I need. All I have to do is show up, ready to focus on training for one hour. Putting all personal distractions aside, positive results are bound to follow. Feeding off the energy of one another, the classes are busting with excitement. I can't say enough about how I have benefited from having OTF in my life.

Expérience négative: This lady talks all nice on the phone (owner) and then messages my husband with distaste. Honestly don’t go here and I’ll be telling everyone not to go here. She blocks numbers after she hears something she doesn’t like. Grow a pair and learn how to run a business.
I'm sorry to hear you and your husband had a less than stellar experience. While the owner is in charge of the business they don't handle day to day member concerns, that's left up to management and the rest of the staff. I'm sure you would be less than happy to have a Sunday afternoon broken up by someone calling you on your personal phone about a work request. Especially when it's to break our contract because we aren't "cop friendly". I'm sorry your time as a member had to end like this but we still wish you all the best!

Expérience négative: Most of the coaches are alright. Demo of exercises is shown and then not much attention is paid form from attendees afterwards. Some of the coaches insist on yelling into the mic for motivation. It's overkill. The staff at the front desk is pretty unhelpful and the manager (Annie) doesn't seem suited for a job dealing with people. My interactions have been lacking to say the least. There is never follow up on this locations behalf until several inquires (ie. billing issues ect)

Expérience fantastique: In general I love orange theory but I have been treated very well during the closing due to covid and now at resuming too by the owner Margaret. I really appreciate her management.
Expérience positive: I love this new studio. It’s spacious, has upgraded personalized monitors, big washrooms....so much better than the resolution drive studio. The workouts are addicting. I have also received excellent customer service from trainers like Ty. And coach Divya . The front desk customer service can on occasions be a challenge but overall a wonderful studio. I look forwards to my workouts here
