Expérience négative: Scammers with their memberships. I cancelled after two years. But I guess I never gave them enough notice and the stated I have to pay for two extra months. then they send to collections for 6 months worth of dues

Expérience fantastique: I've been there multiple times and it's a great gym. Great staff and friendly and always around to help spot you if you need it. Definitely would recommend this gym to anyone looking for all sorts of workouts and routines.

Expérience fantastique: I enjoy this gym. Its a very convenient location for me. The staff are so nice and personable. Its a clean gym as well. All in all. Good experience.

Expérience fantastique: This is by far one of the better gyms in Nanaimo to go to. Super friendly staff that always greets you with a smile. All of the equipment is up to date and clean. I’ve been to a lot of different gyms in Nanaimo and this one is my favourite.

Expérience fantastique: Nice compact little gym. Has a wide variety of equipment for its size. Have always found the management and employees to be very friendly and helpful. The 24 hour access is great for my shift work.

Expérience négative: The management was less than impressive. Their customer service is bottom end. Theres plenty of other gyms that are cleaner with better equipment as well.

Expérience négative: I submitted a review a couple days ago but did not articulate myself clearly enough. The smith machine bar was very dirty, calf raise/ab machine and others were loose and needed maintenance. Rusty equipment/knobs/bolts on many machines. Lastly, half way thru my workout I received a text from my home gym in courtenay saying to remember to wear indoor shoes at their facilities. This behavior was passive aggressive because had the worker that day approached me about indoor shoes, I would’ve explained that these are my indoor shoes and the only shoes I can wear during my recovery from 4 recent surgeries. Not impressed, the only positive was the blonde girl working was very helpful in pointing out the assisted pull up machine.

Expérience fantastique: This place is great always clean and equiptment it smooth and has everything you'll need 24/7 fob is handy and being able to use your membership across North America is really nice I work in north dakota and Texas and I use it in each town-city I work in really great !!! Thanks AnyTime !!!!

Expérience négative: Very disrespectful manager. No class. Beware of signing up in this location they try to overcharge you and there policies are horrible. Brooke's landing policies are way more relaxed and I got a better deal there too. I got like racist energy vibes here big time. Sighn up at the Brooke's Landing location where they treat you with respect and dignity. What a pathetic manager. Seriously what a joke

Expérience positive: Please update website, or at the very least have the ‘confirmation’ email and text alert that it is not available. It’s totally fine not to do free trials, but if you’re going to offer it on the website and also confirm it with customers in email and text, it is very frustrating when upon arrival it is a $20 entry fee with no free trial. EDITED TO ADD: this is a comment so that Management team of the business and the website can work towards improving, not on the employees trying to do their best. I had great customer service when I showed up and had the options well explained to me with what employee could offer along with an apology for the miscommunication on the website; however, as people at the lower end of the hierarchy, they can’t create change.

Expérience fantastique: Considering this is one of the older style of Anytime Fitness Clubs compared to many nowadays that have been renovated , all the equipment works really well! They have a great variety, very clean facilities, plenty of space for stretching, a private room, and super friendly atmosphere as we came through visiting for a session in the early morning. The early risers were all smiling and friendly!

Expérience négative: They claim to have many gyms internationally, but the gyms may not be near you. For example I would have to travel 7 hours to get to the nearest gym. I tried to explain this to the staff but they did not allow me to pause my membership and kept saying that we have gyms internationally. For future clients make sure you read their agreement thoroughly before signing. Also owner that's not how you spell my name :) I can see that you are a bit angry but it also makes you seem unprofessional.. thanks for your feedback although its not necessary anymore since I am no longer a member at your gym

Expérience fantastique: A great gym with an amazing facility, but what makes it the best is the people who work there. I am always greeted with a smile and honest small talk. You can tell they really take an interest in every member. Well kept, and right now it makes me so upset that the government shut down gyms because of covid.

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic staff and management. Clean showers and gym area. Membership privileges allow use of other Anytime Fitness facilities which are what seems to be everywhere I travel.

Expérience fantastique: I had heard Anytime designers intentionally try to make their gyms as unwelcoming as possible so that the staff can sign up as many people as possible, but then after a short number of visits most people would loose interest and consequently stop going, leaving room to be filled. When I had called a different location (gosh, was it over seven years ago now?) I was quoted 120 per month and stayed with an old school gym where I was already paying 40 dollars per month for twenty four hour access. The current monthly payment is reasonable and though I enjoy an empty gym in the dead of night, I'm warming up to being there when others are. When the attendant on staff is in, they make sure and greet all as they enter and leave helping to make everyone feel like they are in the right place. Looking forward to getting shredded! ...or at least maintaining my mobility and possibly shedding like four pounds. Five stars.

Expérience fantastique: Wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars. Incredibly clean, unreal staff and great environment! Can be busy at times as its a small gym but 100% recommend as everyone is so friendly! Staff are always there to assist you in whatever you need and actually care about their members.

Expérience fantastique: Great anytime gym. Jason is super enthusiastic and approachable. I was helped when my outta town key fob did't work. Local Members are considerate and fricken swoll. Rarely crowded, but not dead. The smaller space is used effectively and layed out well.

Expérience fantastique: Gym is super clean and equipment is always functionally optimally. Gym manager (Broedy) is a really nice guy who always greets upon entering and says goodbye upon leaving. He is very professional and helpful with any questions about working out/how to use equipment and with the membership. This gym has a small town type feel to it which is nice, I recommend it to everyone!

Expérience positive: The gym is super nice and always being maintenenced by the staff so is super clean. The guy that signed me up was a little standoffish, and like he no longer wanted to work the beginning of the year. All other interaction with the other staff has been awesome so far though.

Expérience fantastique: Exceptionally clean. High-quality equipment. Well-ventilated with actual AC (not just fans blowing stale indoor air at you, re: not healthy). Friendly and attentive staff and owner. It is pricer than the other gyms but that's because it's targeting a certain demographic of people who are willing to pay for quality and higher health, safety and cleanliness standards (and who want to avoid overcrowding). For me, these factors are really important. This is by far the best gym experience I've ever had. I always look forward to my workouts :)

Expérience positive: Tons of floor space. Wide variety of dumbbells, up to 100lbs. Capable of being a body building gym. Great gym. Only 4 stars because the bathroom was meh. First it's cold AF, no fun! Second, the draft from the ceiling vent swings the gross, wet shower curtain your way and STICKS TO YOU then when the floors are wet the are EXTREMELY slippery... no signs. Some floors are treated with an anti-slip coating. Forewarned.

Expérience négative: I had a one year membership here a couple of years back. After the year, I tried to cancel and it was a huge headache. I would not recommend. To Owner: I was a member previously. I based my review on my previous experience.

Expérience négative: Did not like the wait for a shower in the morning. There is a sign, but ladies still hog showers. There are only 2 washrooms for men and women, so if you have to go and someone takes a half hour shower, good luck!

Expérience négative: I just moved to BC from Ontario and signed up for a free trial to check it out, essentially before "signing up". My ID isn't from BC and the free trial is only for Nanaimo residents. You then have to buy drop in or punch cards and basically commit to a gym that you haven't tried yet. The service wasn't customer focused and came up with no solution to retain a client - dead end.

Expérience fantastique: Just joined! Got a 7 day free trial and when it's used up I will be getting a membership. Anytime fitness is just what the name says, you are able to go in anytime you like with your key fob. So handy!
