Expérience fantastique: I’ve been a member for years. By far my favourite gym around. On the smaller side, but it’s never crowded, you don’t have to wait to use machines, friendly staff, super clean and overall a comfortable place to workout.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful as well! The gym is not overwhelming busy and has a lot of variety of equipment that is well maintained. If something is broken they usually fix it pretty quickly. The other members are respectful and always clean the equipment and put it back in its place. I’m Glad I joined :)

Expérience négative: Wish I had a better experience here. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this gym. The whole workout area is a fairly small room. My noise cancelling headphones still don’t block out the continuous slamming of the machines/weights that happens here. I realize all gyms are on the louder side, but just wasn’t expecting this level of noise for the amount of people that are working out here. I’m not sure why many weightlifters feel the need to slam the equipment (probably an ego issue). It’s quite alarming when the large weights hit the ground so suddenly. I know at Fit4Less, there is no tolerance for slamming the weights down on the ground (they have an alarm that sounds if you do). In my opinion, the price this gym charges monthly, is not worth the quantity and overall experience. The equipment is very minimal and most of the time squeaky. There is only one, maybe two, small industrial fans to circulate throughout the entire gym. Not sure why they charge slightly more than the average gym, but don’t offer the same amenities/variety of equipment as other gyms around. Not to mention the overwhelming amount of cologne and perfume that circulates throughout the facility. I’m not usually bothered by scents, but maybe it had to do with the lack of circulation throughout the facility. Not impressed with my experience here. Also it’s unfortunately a much busier gym than I was led to believe and considering the smaller size of the place.

Expérience fantastique: I became a member of Anytime Fitness at the start of March 2024 following a break from the gym for over 2 years. Despite being a smaller gym, it is well-equipped & has all the necessary equipment & more! The gym is consistently clean, regardless of the time of day and the private showers are a great perk. The staff, especially Cathy, are extremely welcoming & helpful, making the sign up process comfortable & easy - she even called the manager on the spot when I need clarification on a stipulation in the contract because she wanted to make sure we both understood it! I appreciate the friendly atmosphere, with staff always greeting you when you arrive. The gym is rarely crowded, with usually no more than 10 people, including myself present at any given time. Happy to be apart of it!

Expérience fantastique: When I joined this gym a few months into last year, I basically had no weight training experience and I didn't expect to reach my goals for quite some time. However, with one of their personal trainer's knowledge and expertise, I was able to attain those goals within a few months of training and I couldn't be happier about that. Ariel, my personal trainer, is polite, professional and very flexible with busy schedules. She is just an amazing person and full of knowledge. She came up with great workouts for me that targeted exactly what I wanted to address. She also suggested healthy meal ideas and snacks to increase my consumption of protein. Anyone that has any fitness goals that they want to reach, I would highly recommend speaking with Ariel at Anytime in Welland. As for the gym itself, it's not the biggest, but it is very clean and has everything you would need. Cathy and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's also convenient being able to use the gym whenever you're free, as it is open 24/7.

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to this gym for about 2.5 years and I don't have any complaints. It's quite small, but there is enough variety of equipment that the size isn't an issue. It's also hardly ever busy and I find I have the gym basically to myself a lot of the time, which is great because I don't have to wait to use machines. My only suggestions would be that sometimes it can get a bit hot in the gym in the winter, so it'd be great if they could turn down the heat. I'd also love to see them get a second stair master machine because it is quite popular. But otherwise, the staff are all very friendly, the gym and bathrooms are always clean and the price is reasonable.

When I was doing the walk through with Cathy she even introduced me too one of the trainers again making me feel welcome. I found the gym extremely clean!!! If your looking for a good overall gym this place checks all the boxes!!

Also cancelled years ago because I moved an they wouldn't allow me to cancel without returning to the place in welland. I was in Alberta. Made no sense an was hung up on an treated very poorly from the lady owner. The guy was much nicer to deal with. Cable equipment is al old an works very poorly. Frayed cables. Old dumbells. My regular one is in dawson creek an it's much nicer an all new gear. Welland sucks. Wouldn't recommend.

Dedicated and up lifting trainer who really knows the best exercises and modified version for all types of fitness goals. I really enjoyed it. Membership is affordable and the private bathroom and showers are really beneficial and what sets this gym apart from others

Expérience fantastique: There are a couple of power racks and they allow deadlifts (use mats cause there is no bumper plates). The price for a day pass is good! Very clean.

Expérience fantastique: I recently joined Anytime Welland, as I needed to start getting more serious about preparing for my sports. I have Ariel as my trainer, and trust me when I say she is very good at keeping you challenged, and working at improving your results every time. Nice clean facility that has something for everyone.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is very organized, clean and has a great variety of equipment. If you are looking for a trainer I recommend going with Ariel, really enjoyed training with her and she was very helpful in making me a workout and helping me work towards my goals.

Had Ariel Guarino as a trainer who was very helpful, as someone who is new to the gym, she was terrific when it came to giving directions and pointers for different kinds of exercises and equipment. So I ended up paying for 9 months and never stepped foot in the facility. Very disappointed in the management team and of the owner. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone all they care about is $$$ and not your personal well being.

Expérience fantastique: I chose this gym due to location and the fact that it's smaller and more private. I've had my membership since December and only recently I've decided to start getting more serious about my fitness journey. I'm confident that the gym has all the state of the art equipment to help me achieve my goals and I look forward to training with Bailey, who was delightful during my consultation and extremely knowledgeable and encouraging! I'm really glad to be a member here and I also love that I can access the gym whenever I want as my shifts are all over the place with work. If you want a clean and functional place to get serious about your workouts, this is it! Everyone has been so kind and helpful. I'm actually excited about working out, which never happens!

Expérience négative: This has been the absolute most scummy business I have ever dealt with. It has been like pulling teeth trying to cancel a membership for a gym I have not used in over 3 years. After multiple phone calls and emails I was told I had to make it in during their office hours in order to cancel, and that regardless of use there is a 30 day cancellation fee (just another way to rob you of another monthly payment!). Comparing to other local gyms prices it is also an absolute rip off. Take your business elsewhere because it seems once you give them a credit card number they’ll never stop charging it.

Expérience fantastique: The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The gym is well-equipped and spaced out given the nature of it being a smaller, private club. Even at peak hours I am always able to have a successful workout with the equipment desired. My fiancé and I have both had wonderful experiences coming here, and are proud AFWelland members ☺️

Now months later they charge me again. no response to emails. STOP CHARGING ME. REFUND MY MONEY. I suggest avoiding this place unless you can cancel your credit card when you try to leave the gym. It’ll save you hundreds of $$$ Also noticed they reviewed themselves 5* Guess that says enough. These guys are scammers.

They both really took the time to get to know my fitness goals and learn about my history. Ashley created a custom workout plan to match my goals and they are amazing! I have never felt so comfortable working out and confident in my abilities to push myself. Ashley has also been very supportive while the gym has been closed and following up with me to make sure that I'm staying active while at home! She is helping me customize and modify our workout plan to fit my lifestyle at home. Highly recommend them for personal training especially if you have never had a personal trainer before.

I hope no one else has to experience this. UPDATE: While I finally got my refund after four months, it took a complaint I filed to the BBB to help me make that happen.

Expérience négative: An absolutely poorly run business! Doesn't even deserve 1 star. I was always quite uncomfortable with the way that the owners treated the staff at this gym and after a recent encounter with the owner himself, my poor opinion stands strong. The gym is taking advantage of the COVID pandemic and is charging members for months that the gym was closed. When questioning about this and requesting to cancel, I was told that they were extending contracts and that I would not be able to cancel unless I paid for additional months that I would most definitely not be using. I was treated with complete disrespect by the owner and will never recommend this gym.

Expérience négative: Do NOT sign up for this gym!! They are allowed to make changes to your original contract and increase the monthly fee without penalty and there is nothing you can do about it. You will have a heck of a time trying to leave, even with good reason. They have not been understanding during the covid crisis and quite frankly are just greedy. Other gyms allow for cancellation during this time as a number of changes have been made from the original signed contract—not this one. You will be spending $45 a month for this small gym. You will wait around while the gym is at capacity, not be able to use certain machines as they are too close to others, have equipment removed when they feel like it, not be allowed to superset, and have no access to a shower. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere like World Gym.

Expérience négative: A really poor gym without customers in mind. My membership had been cancelled twice, and once again this October through January I began being charged again. The new owner said he, "couldn't speak to what had been done" on my account, even though he could see all of the previous refunds. Not to mention it is extremely small, over priced, and doesn't even have a place to fill up water other than the bathroom. For $50 a month, it is not even close to worth it. Headed to CRUNCH down the road for $9.99 a month and 100 x more features.

Getting charged past your cancellation date is clearly a common issue with this gym, so save yourself a headache and sign up at another gym.

Expérience négative: Unfortunately a horrible experience. The owners seem so nice but it's been 10 months since I requested to cancel my membership and am still being charged. I originally spoke to a young man in September who told me it was taken care of, a few months later I was still being charged so I spoke to a girls who said I had to send an email request, still continued getting charged. Spoke to the owner who said I have to come into the club. He told me it was cancelled and refunded me for 3 months-this was in May. Now it's July, I'm living on the other side of the country and I'm still getting charged!!

If you're looking for a smaller gym for everyday fitness needs and requirements without the crowds at larger gyms, Anytime Fitness Welland is your place. As with every smaller gym, Anytime Fitness does lack some of the amenities found at your larger city gyms however, they do have fitness classes, tanning, large selection of equipment and is never crowded. If you're seeking a quality fitness centre with privacy but a great selection of work out equipment, check out this gym.

Expérience fantastique: I chose this place almost two years ago because of it being just up the street from my house. I am so glad I did, this place has gone way above and beyond my expectations. The place is never over crowded, extremely clean and lots of equipment to choose from. Paul and Sabina have been so kind and helpful to me. Paul got me started on the 4 day split work out in February and am starting to finally see some results, slowly but surely. Id honestly rather pay more to go to a smaller, clean and friendly gym then to pay less and go somewhere overcrowded and less clean. I have anxiety and even going here late at night and alone I feel safe. Paul and Sabina treat their members like family. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. - Emily Mewett :)

Expérience fantastique: This gym surpasses my expectations. Very clean and organized. Th equipment is all up to date and there is always new stuff being added. The staff are friendly and helpful. The biggest plus about this gym is that it says 24/7 and actually is 24/7! Not like other gyms that advertise that but close early on weekends. Anytime fitness in welland is also one of the only gyms in the area with the “Jacobs latter” which is one of my favourite machines! You get what you pay for at this gym! There is also the added bonuses of tanning beds, private washrooms with showers, a tablet that has built in workouts that project onto a big screen and wifi - because who doesn’t want to watch Netflix while they struggle through cardio? Paul goes above and beyond for his members. I moved away and moved back, and needed my membership back - he had my membership reactivated within hours. I also had an issue with my fob to get in the door. I sent him a message early in the morning and he took time out of his day off / time with his family to open the door for me! If your looking for quality, cleanliness, friendliness and a judge free zone! Anytime Welland is where you need to be!

Expérience fantastique: Such a great gym! I use this gym to work out whilst on many business trips to the area. I'm really fussy when it comes to gyms and this has everything I need. The equipment is in great shape, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is super convenient. As someone who trains everyday at home and studies exercise the advanced knowledge i have received off the staff has been incredible and has improved my training massively. If I lived in the area I'd choose to join this gym without any doubt.. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip! Thanks again

Expérience fantastique: Great gym! Great owners! They give you their personal cell numbers for any concerns. They are extremely dedicated. Free bootcamp, can't go wrong with that! I did notice there was an issue with one staff member, he never showed up for work. Or when he was at work, he was missing a lot of the time. He never cleaned. They let him go promptly, after a few of us members voiced our concern. We voiced our concern because we like the owners, and felt that he was taking advantage of them. Now I see he and his significant other are leaving negative reviews (Adam & Allison), so the immaturity in that young man continues. This is a great gym, run by great people!

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful gym, clean. Contains everything you would need! Diane is very passionate about weight loss. I lost 35 pounds with in 13 weeks following her plan. She made weight loss not only easy but also realistic. Adam is very informative about diet and exercise. Adam taught me new exercises and helped me create a plan. Overall great experience at the gym. Owners and staff have been very helpful aswell!

Expérience négative: I went here for a 7 day trial :) the owner was nice enough and offered me a 3 month membership for free he said to try it out :) he signed me up for a year membership to be started after my 3 months free were up , which i was ok with ! However not even 4 days after my free trial started i was being charged by the gym i was charged a total of $160! The owner paid back 100$ but i paid the other 60$ i am on assistance because of my health and he knew this ! This created nothing but stress for me! I get calls from the collection agency every couple days because i had to put a stop payment on my account so they wouldn’t take anymore $ . I wish i never even went here !!! Save your time . All this and technically im not even a paid member till september! I owe 0$ and get harassed all the time ! STAY AWAY.

Sent an email through their website as per their policy for cancellation and am still being deducted fees from my account as of June 2018. No answer to emails as to why this is still taking place and no acknowledgement of my February cancellation. Try calling during regular business hours and no answer and no means to leave a voicemail. Do not join this gym unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars in gym fees when you aren’t even utilizing the service! Let alone all the time you will spend trying to get a hold of someone to rectify the situation! Very very poor way of running a business where the clients suffer!

Expérience négative: Beware giving anyone access to your bank account. I tried to cancel after completing the mandatory 1yr and had nothin but headaches. I contacted them to let them know I was cancelling and was completely ignored. I had to pay the bank to block them accessing my account. Co operate is no better this a shady franchise. I'd rather give my money to a real person. Never giving these guys another dollar.

Expérience fantastique: I was recently working in Welland for a few days and found this gem of a gym. The owner was extremely welcoming. The equipment was in great shape and all the weights were kept organized. (Nothing worse then spending half your workout looking for equipment) change rooms were clean. The gym is well laid out and is big enough that it doesn't feel crowded. I will definately be coming back next time I'm in town.

Expérience négative: Went in to get a membership. the receptionist or who ever she was; was rude. very expensive and you have to pay $50 for a key for the 24hr access. Hours of staffed workers are 3pm til 7pm so if you don't have a key, that's a no go. I would never go to this gym. Expensive and rude staff.
