Expérience négative: Terrible gym! Terrible business ethics! They did not allow me in the gym and expected me to keep paying!! This is so wrong! Then sent the debt to a creditor!! After refusing me service they expect me to keep paying! What kind of backwards place is this???

Expérience fantastique: Once again we can go back to Movati South in London. I always have a better workout there. We moved out of London 9 years ago but it will always be my home club. I just feel like working out when I am there and it shows. We have tried another gym closer to home but it never feels right. Movati South, yes!

Expérience négative: Outdated gym from the 90’s (carpets, old machines). Poor customer service. I have been meaning to cancel, but due to covid I was not able to go in and get that done. Recently, I ran into an issue and can confirm they cannot handle memberships. I have not received an email regarding their reopening date yet have been charged my bi-weekly payments with no notice, and when I raised that they refused to refund me. Glad to say that I cancelled and would never consider signing up again. Highly encourage you consider going somewhere else like GoodLife or an independent local gym!

Expérience fantastique: Great job at Re-Opening. The Movati App to sign up for classes works really well. I have worked out in the General Gym, the Women's Only Gym and have done a class and I feel very safe working out. There are Cleaning Stations everywhere and more Cleaners on staff. If you are looking for a caring, friendly and helpful Fitness Club, Movati is for you! Great job!!

Expérience négative: The staff here are so phony. Fake smiles and hellos - well, unless you are older in which case they don't seem to acknowledge your existence. They are incredibly non-responsive to any request. The music is way too loud - it sounds more like a club than a gym at times. I guess they are just concerned about physical health and not so much about hearing loss.

Expérience fantastique: I joined Movati last fall because they have a really great swimming pool, steam room, sauna and great private showers with lots of hot water. I also find it never really crowded, and I always have my own lane for my laps, I generally swim for 45 minutes, six days a week. The staff are always very friendly, and Kelsey who works on the front desk is exceedingly professional, polished and kind. Andrew who works on weekends is great to talk with, loves astronomy, as I do too, and he makes my trips to the club that much better. I have tried many other clubs in London, Movati is further for me to drive but worth it, you get what you pay for and then some.

My sister just suffered from a stroke two days ago and almost died. We are glad she is alive. She currently has two memberships. One at GoodLife and one at this disgusting place. It maybe took one or two minutes of my time to call GoodLife to alert them of my sisters conditions and her stroke, and that to please just put her membership on hold since she will be in care for months. I got immediate sympathy and enormous support from the GoodLife team along with prayers and encouragement. Her membership was put on hold without a problem at GoodLife. However, once I called here. Wow, how ridiculous. My sister just suffered from a near death experience two days ago and I am trying to get everything straight for her, and the absolute last thing anyone in this situation would need is a doctors note signed and faxed and emailed and brought in to confirm this. With a 12$ fee to hold her account every month, not only was I lied to i for the uphold worst experience of “Customer survive” from both the rotten “manager” and the front desk girl. How disgusting. I don’t think anyone with a right mind would sit and lie about their sister having a stroke like that. I have no energy nor the will power to sit and argue with them while they were yelling the “conditions” over the phone. In the end I realized this gym is nothing but money hungry, disgusting people. Never in all my years experience have I ever have dealt with such ignorance. Does my sister have to be dead to not get charged a 12$ holding fee every month. We pay less at GoodLife and receive service from people who actually care about you and your health. How disgusting. Do NOT waste your time and even look into this pig pen. I will never forget this. I am traumatized people like this exists and are working at a facility of health. I am genuinely scared for anyone who goes here. Please be aware of this. As I sat in a hospital calling the manager I can hear gossip behind the phone. I truly am so sorry for anyone who rated this gym even two stars. They deserve none.

I went in and asked for a day pass to check things out, and Jessica V. was incredibly helpful in setting me up with a compliment 7-day pass so I could check out the gym multiple times over the course of a week, to see if it was a good fit for me. When I came back in to get my membership set up she was super efficient and the process was simple and quick. 100% will recommend this gym to family and friends!

Expérience négative: I was in the gym and was talking to a friend just a little loud (normal since its the gym and its already loud) when we were very rudely interrupted by Sarah the trainer there, who told us to be quiet for no apparent reason it was not a library to start and I don't appreciate someone to tell me to be quiet especially at the gym and someone i don't even know. Would never recommend her or go back their because of her attitude. Very unprofessional, and thinking of cancelling my membership, she is a trainer and should know people are loud at the gym, whether motivation from trainers like her, or people working out. Worst Experience at the Gym.

Personal Trainers are always engaging and front desk staff always has smiles on their faces. Couldn't ask for a more of an encouraging/non judgmental zone. So glad I made the switch.

I've been a member ever since and plan to continue my membership On my cursory visit I was treated with every professional courtesy and this has continued on every visit since. the staff are helpful, cheerful, and encouraging no matter what your body type or fitness goals. The facilities are kept nigh immaculate, and there is an excellent variety of classes and equipment. Every member is well-mannered. The offer of a month to month membership is great. Honestly, I can't say enough positive things about my experiences here and encourage anyone shopping around for a gym membership to strongly consider coming here.

Here I am a year later and working classes and seeing my trainer a few times a month, weight loss and muscle building are now my thing looking so forward to the next year of this transformation.. Thanks to the customer service team at the front who make me and my Partner feel like FAMILY and to "MITCH" my trainer for the hard life lessons about diet and working out right.. this gym is ware it is at.... Expérience fantastique: Very friendly staff, Tons of equipment. I really like the Shake bar where you can go after workouts and get a protein shake. I enjoy using the Sauna and Steam room especially in the winter months. One of the good things about Movati is when ever I plan a workout on specific machines it never gets to crowded to where I have to re-plan my workout. I came from a gym where that happened all the time.

They're very friendly and quick to acknowledge me whenever I have a question. I always feel welcome and they're diligent about the cleanliness of the gym. I love the fact that I can get a custom shake whenever I feel the need for a pick-me-up after a workout. The Funky Monkey is a guilty pleasure though. Awesome staff, and atmosphere!

Expérience fantastique: My name is Dave and I've been a member here for the last 15 years. I was just reading the review left by MATT S And I'm pretty shocked. All the things he spoke of in the review are absolutely false Clearly he has something personal against Movati. Either way, great gym :)

Expérience négative: Worst fitness club experience I have ever had in my life. A few employees are nice, however there are too many that don't have a grasp of what customer service is about. They rude, and arrogant. It's even showing in how the members behave... Weights are left laying around, parts gone missing from machines, paper towels thrown on the floor. Treat the customers badly, and they'll return the favor! Very difficult process to get any deficiencies fixed, usually need to try 3 or 4 treadmills before you find one that works properly, and strange enough you will never find one labeled out of service. Hours are often not as advertised, including closures for staff meetings! Head office needs to send in some undercover staff. You simply don't get what your paying for at this branch. Now the North Club has none of these problems.... Go figure! Edit: I've talked with Movati staff about their issues. They had their chance to fix the problems. The result is I've moved on.

Expérience positive: The pool creeps me out ... I don't like swimming in a fish bowl which is why I left this gym to go to one with a more private pool where everyone is the lobby is full of men ten feet away and staring at the people ... girls ... in the pool.

Expérience négative: Good gym and all but the "No Commitment" plan is a bit of a scam. They said you just needed to cancel ANYTIME before a certain date so they won't charge you an extra month. They never told me that you need to give a 30 days notice before you cancel AND that you need to cancel approximately 7 business days before that certain date so the banks can process it. None of that was said so there goes an extra monthly payment.

Expérience négative: Was a member there for 2 years they put rates up and reduced their hours. The gym is usually clean, has good weights and equipment. Rates are pretty high my wife and I pay $100 a month for the two of us. The showers soap dispensers, and paper towel on the floor is usually empty. I go to this gym minimum six days a week and have been member for about 1.5 years. I am thinking about switching to other gyms that have lower rates and are truly 24/7 such as Gold Gym or Good Life. Basically I expect more when paying this much a month.

Expérience positive: I hope this is a isolated case with movati. The weights are hard to find and left laying around. Most if not all the equipments padding is cracked or torn. The equipment is also older thus being more out of date. For the amount you have to pay and the 1 year term I'd say not worth it.

Expérience fantastique: I have been a member for over 10 years and love Movati. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. I swim 3-4 times a week in the pool, which is wonderful. It's a much nicer pool than at other places. Generally the facilities are great. Yes, sometimes equipment does break but given the volume of users, it's amazing how little down time there actually is. The staff always get right on it if something needs attention. Going to Movati is a significant part of my life so I would not be a happy camper if I had to go somewhere else.

Expérience négative: Worst ever. Relocating to London and asked if a pass for the day could be obtained to try out and ensure that this was right gym for me. Front desk staff was unsure and contacted their manager by phone who stated does not provide passes unless a resident of London. Manager then instructed staff to have me pay for day pass which I was more than happy to. Staff nor manager could figure out how much a day pass would be. Clowns. Thanks, but no thanks. I will take my business elsewhere where manager can exhibit some class and staff is at least educated. Found my way to another fitness establishment where I think I will join.

Expérience positive: They don't stop people who don''t shower from entering the pool/hot tub area which I find disgusting. Sure there is plenty of chlorine in the hot tub and the pool, however they should make it mandatory not just a policy for people to shower before entering as I extremely dislike entering a hot vat of other peoples daily filth. Other than that the staff are generally very nice. The equipment is usually very clean and there is plenty of instruments for you to clean it yourself if you feel the need to do so. The showers could be cleaned a little better too. I would suggest buying flip flops for the showers. Also if you see someone dry walking into the pool area tell them to GTFO and shower cause that's disgusting. I've talked to the staff on one occasion and they say its hard to tell if they have showered before entering. I'm going to suggest they update the camera next time I'm in.

Expérience fantastique: I have been a member at this club for the past year and I have enjoyed using the facilities which are well cared for. I've appreciated the staff who are welcoming, kind and helpful. I have also enjoyed the activities available for my family to participate in including family swims and Kids fitness classes.

Expérience fantastique: I love this place! I have been a client for 2.5 years. I have never felt more comfortable at a gym. I have tried Goodlife and Madamoselle when it was still around. At Movati the staff AND clients are warm, welcoming, helpful and non judgemental. I usually go around 4:30pm and will admit that the odd time I have gone in earlier I have found the staff to be a little standoffish, but the afternoon team is amazing! I have been a client both with no issues and with an injury. The entire team has always offered me support, especially when I was in recovery from my back issue. I know that I can ask the training staff, CSA and managers any questions I have and they will always provide help and find answers for me. The only wish I have is that personal training wasn't so expensive. However, I guess it is worth the price to have a trainer who is properly trained and didn't just take a weekend course.
