Expérience négative: Please everyone that reads this plese be careful while signing they are absolute scammers like they will tell you something I thought they told me but was constantly blanking on if they did or not well one of my co-workers confirmed that what I thought was true and that's before they make you sign your contact to sign up they tell you that you can cancel anytime but that's not true the moment you sign that contract apparently they can't do anything to cancel after that so you're stuff paying them even if you can't afford it they will just charge you NSF fee which in total I lost over $500 through NSF fees plus my subscription and I was fighting these people since the beginning of August and I think I bugged these people so much that they had enough of me and just paid for the rest of my subscription that way they wouldn't have to constantly deal with me pretty much begging them to cancel my subscription for a 5th month since I knew I couldn't afford it, I did have two other one start review which I deleted because know how much a one start review can effect a business and these people know to because before they actually messaged me personally to remove them buy I believe you guys deserve to know my expirence and it's one thing to scam me but do not respect people who scam my co-workers

Expérience fantastique: I love Anytime Fitness! The staff here are amazing and truly go above and beyond to help members. The gym is always spotless, and the equipment is in excellent condition—it's hard to believe the gym is 10 years old with how well they keep it up. I noticed a few reviews from people upset about payments, and I wanted to share my experience. I've had times where I missed a payment, and the team was really proactive, texting multiple times to check in and make sure I could handle the payment when it was retried. They even send reminders before payments come out. Honestly, they go above and beyond, and anyone having issues with payments or their contract might want to consider how well they manage their own bills. If they’ve done this for me, I know they must do it for everyone. The gym does more than necessary to support us, and it shows how much they care.

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to anytime for the last 2 years, great facilities, equipment, shower rooms, everything is clean all the time, only thing I say they could use is a deadlift platform.

Expérience positive: I was pretty disappointed to see the lack of machines in the gym. I’d say for the price of drop in fees and membership that I had expected a lot more from the gym. I get it being a small town but either make your pricing more affordable or make your gym worth the cost of use. Coming from Bigger cities and knowing they have much better machinery for way less of a cost to drop in and memberships I was surprisingly let down by this location. Health and fitness should be affordable, not highway robbery for bare minimum machines. Wouldn’t recommend to most people but seems to be the only gym in town so I guess they can get away with outrageous prices.

Expérience positive: Anytime Fitness Drayton Valley is a great gym!! Perhaps you should join if you haven’t done so yet. Great people too.

Other ATF locations in Alberta should strive to have the same standards of excellence at DV ATF 6. It is clear that the DV location has good management and chooses staff with care.

Expérience négative: Initially I didnt want to share this, but it’s only fair to share my experience so other new sign-ups can avoid the pitfall and be aware. AF Drayton Valley gets 1 star. The gym itself is well equipped, the 24/7 access is cool…they have some great trainers like Marta. BUT…. After 2 initial visits, to be sure of all details, (and in which I was very clear that I only wanted a short membership)… I signed up for a ➡️SIX MONTH MEMBERSHIP⬅️ Let me be very clear about this…I emphatically made clear that I wanted only 6 months. After the 6 months expired -I discovered AF was still taking payments out of my account ???‍♀️ I was then informed that there was an ‘AUTO RENEW’ clause in my policy, unbeknownst to me, that they did NOT tell me about, in what I will say is sneaky-ish wording, within the contract…and that it was my fault for not going in after 6 months expired and signing some ‘cancel membership’ form ‍ that they didn’t inform me about either, until after. REALLY? What part of ‘I only want a 6 month membership’ don’t you understand? *Maddy signed me up, she’s a lovely girl but absolutely did NOT mention any AUTO RENEW clause. I would have heard that. Anyways, LEGALLY they can & will take money from you that you did not sign up for nor want to pay, sure its legal but IMHO it’s short of honest. And sure, you may say it’s on me for not catching some sneaky worded clause written in the fine print. They got their few extra hundred dollars from me✅ One would’ve hoped we could deal in good faith with our local small town business owners without these kinds of games. If you sign up, be sure to beware of that auto renew clause and strike it out. They probably wont tell you about it. They didn’t tell me. And it’ll cost you. Caveat emptor.

Professional, friendly staff, a wide range of equipment for all your program's needs, towels for the shower after a challenging work out, and even a selection of supplements if you need something. The icing on the cake though are its hours. Open 24 hours a day so you can come regardless of what your busy life might look like.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been a member at anytime for 2-3 years and I’ve had multiple wonderful in their own way trainers. My favourite to date has been Maddy! She made me feel at ease from the first time we met, will step by step all explanations of an exercise multiple ways until it clicks and I can nail down how each exercise should look and feel, without making me feel foolish. She’s extremely uplifting, was able to decipher my uncertainty in creating my goals, and is able to quickly revamp a workout if it doesn’t work or I if I need extra work in a different area to maximize my strength. If anyone is on the fence about obtaining a trainer, I can assure you she’s been worth every penny.

Expérience positive: I have been coming to the gym for 1.5 years. I have met some fantastic people! The atmosphere is sometimes fun and a few of the coaches are AMAZING - especially Marta! She will ask you how far you think you can go and then show you how far you can actually go!! AF does have a high turn over rate for staff so when you find someone you like they are usually gone a short while later. AF is also a bit pricier than the other gyms for the basic package and it goes up from there

Expérience fantastique: I started with Anytime a few years ago in Edmonton and was really impressed with it, being in a busy part of the city and all. Now that we are moved to Drayton Valley, I've found it to be very consistent with the anytime brand. Meaning good equipment, well maintained and a spotless facility. The staff are all great! Helpful and are genuinely invested in the success of clients, be it advice, personal training or simply a kind smile. This gym in particular has a real sense of community and this is where I choose to work out and always will.

Expérience négative: The first time I had membership I really liked the gym. I was getting payments taken out and didn't really use the membership during the summer so went to talk to someone in their office. They told me they were sad to see me go and I was able to come back in the winter since there were probably deals then to come back. I didnt realize I was still getting charged. During covid they stopped payments and then eventually continued. It took me awhile to figure it out. I was a little floored after having the cancelation conversation that after months I was told I technically I needed to sign a form. And that they reached out and called. I had a new phone not long after. After too much time/ calls they offered a partial refund. After a few years I tried to rationalize it out as a mistake someone made and didn't own up to to protect their job. The staff were aways friendly and I liked the gym enough I wanted to come back and forgave them (even though I literally paid for it). I seen there free for summer deal and thought I'd stop in. It sounded too good to be true in retrospect... I was told if I came in before fall I could cancel and wouldn't be charged payments. I got to chose a bi-weekly plan for the fall in case I didn't cancel. It is Aug 29th and I calender marked the day TO MAKE SURE I DIDNT FORGET yet another subscription service :'l I thought I would go to the gym to either cancel or ask about how much it costs in the fall. They told me I was locked in a contract and wasn't able to cancel. and my first payment already came out of my account a few days earlier. I didnt read the contract fully and just listened to someone. I asked what will happen if I try to get my bank to lock out the transactions, they told me that payments for the year will just go to collections. I was purposely told the wrong information the second time, the first time signing a contract wasn't mentioned when I went in to cancel, then it was held over me as a technicality. Kind of like the contract I wasn't aware I was locked in to until today. I don't know if someone was trying to get commission, being it seems like a big thing to accidentally leave out. "Come in and cancel any time" then left the "within the next ten days" part out... I didnt think I would be mislead and really needed to read fine print. Technically there is a signature and now technically I'm paying for a year or it will be going to collections. Yep, that just happened. To the response left... My finances were never tight, I had been working full-time during covid and now making a decent amount of money. I'm not sure where this information came from. I am really sad this happened and this is the approach to dealing with it. To the BBB response (yep) - I realized when having to put in a BBB complaint a response was made that said something like cancelling a gym membership through text doesn't count... I'm not sure where this info came from either. I cancelled my account in person with the gym rep. Tanya and then signed up for the summer deal with her too. In person, she always seemed super friendly. I am still surprised someone did this. I could pay it now, but I would rather wait to pay collections... I have had a few people tell me they had similar experiences. Take the contract home and read it before you sign it, it's a few pages. I was just charged $792.46.

Expérience fantastique: Convenient downtown location in Drayton Valley. Clean facility with maintained equipment. Separate change rooms and huge shower rooms if you choose to shower up after that workout. They even have a resident massage therapist available.

Expérience négative: I had called back in February about cancelling my 18 month gym membership at the end of the contract. I was then charged for an additional month (19 months total) at the end of my 18 month contract and called to complain. The girl who answered was very understanding and said that the manager would call me back the next day to deal with the situation. I have not received a call back and the charge for an additional month is still active. Very unimpressed with the lack of response from management about my issue, especially when I have already been charged for an additional month after calling months in advance to ensure I would not be charged any more than the 18 months I had agreed to.

Expérience fantastique: Honestly I've been going to anytime fitness here in Drayton valley for the last 5 years and it's the best place for fitness I've been to by far.Their staff is super friendly and helpful with any and all questions, as far as healthy eating,proper form for lifting, and advice on a great fitness plan. I've been to all gyms around town I've lived here for 25 years..omniplex,shape shop, ect.Anytime fitness is the choice I've made for the last 5 years and stuck to a soild work out plan because of them and I feel amazing because of it. Thanks anytime fitness! As far as being clean it has 5 anti bacteria wipe stations that the staff encourage everyone to use after every use on the equipment. And most, if not all of the regular members use we know better if you dont wipe your staff down some of the regulars will do it for you.

Do not engage in referrals to other fitness professionals in the area so there is no networking with-in the fitness profession for this company which I feel is a crucial mistake when as fitness providers we try to provide the best fit for those who walk through our doors. Sometimes that means referring elsewhere. Yet another classic example of 'big farm fitness' where money has become more important than what is best for a client.
