Expérience négative: Half the cardio machines were broken down. I usually like to watch tv when doing cardio, I turn on a sports game but none of the machines have tvs. Layout of the gym made it feel more challenging to get a full workout in. As well as the lack of options for the cable machines had me waiting for attachments so I could finish my workouts. I thought this location would be good since it’s close to my relatives home but I will be definitely going to a different location.
Expérience fantastique: THE NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM WORKING HERE IS THE BEST! Ok I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews at this location from 4 years ago but the manager that works here is on top of his game , TOP service, TOP Location, TOP staff members , in my opinion 5 Stars but you’ll just haft to go check it out for yourself . Just wanted to include I have never dealt with such awesome staff members in my life at a gym before , most gym staff are usually full of themselves but not the staff members at coach hill , super friendly environment for anyone looking to start their gym journey

Expérience fantastique: To Be completely Honest and I mean brutally honest …. This is the best gym in Calgary by far . The management team at this location and the workout equipment are beyond 5 stars . I can’t even speak in words how good the service is you haft to sign up at the gym and see it for yourself , best gym in Calgary and best staff members I dealt with . I just want to give a big thank you to the staff member Jackie he was honestly the best employee I have ever dealt with at a gym , this guy goes beyond and above! Anytime fitness please give this man a raise immediately! 10 STARS P.S they have really good food next door as well so it’s the best location in my opinion for working out

Expérience positive: It is fine for what it is. I do find that the wipes run out often and some of the equipments don’t get maintained as needed. The stairmaster was decommissioned for a few weeks.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is very well looked after and even when some machines don’t work I see a concerted effort to repair quickly. I always feel very welcomed and comfortable here. Place is always clean and well maintained! I have been a member for several years and will continue to be in the coming years.

Expérience fantastique: I've always loved going to this gym and have had great experiences. The staff is amazing and very kind and helpful and the gym is always kept very clean. They always greet you when you enter and are around to help with any questions. Recently, my wife lost a key and the staff spent a lot of time helping us out trying to locate it - they went above and beyond!! Even went through the camera footage trying to see if we dropped it while working out. This will always be the gym we recommend! Thank you SO much !!

Expérience négative: Update: A month later and equipment is still broken with a paper sign saying it will be fixed ASAP… Disappointed with the quality of upkeep for the price. It’s a small gym and when equipment is broken and not fixed for weeks or months the options are limited or prepare to wait. For example the cable machine has been broken for a month with a sign saying it’s going to be fixed… There has not been any new equipment brought in which is not a problem but then fix the existing gear quickly when it breaks or charge less… I’d also suggest another TV or two. The one at the front entrance is useless to gym goers and the other two are often malfunctioning.

Expérience négative: This gym just serves its purpose, get in, do your workout and get out. The space constantly feels messy and cluttered and basic amenities are missing (ex, soap, hand sanitizer). The team could do much better at maintaining the space.

Expérience négative: So much broken equipment, and for months. 25% of the washrooms are out of order for 5 months now, and the cleaning here is merely moping. No equipment is cleaned or fixed. Great staff, awful repair and maintenance budgeting.

Expérience négative: Been coming here for a while for location conveniece. Both cables on the main cable machine are broken. 3 of the back rollers are cracked in half, broken and soft and should be thrown out. A new one would cost 40 bucks max not sure why they have not been replaced as they have been broken for at least 6 months. I am not sure how the owners expect to get more business without doing simple upkeep and maintence of the machines . If I was the owners I'd be embarrassed. I know I am not the only one that thinks this. Fix your equipment already ..... one plus side of this place is friendly staff.

Expérience négative: I have resisted posting this review. I go to this gym. It is conveniently close. But there are signs of declining care from ownership, not management, as equipment is left broken for extended periods of time, and they do not take COVID seriously and members health is at risk. Regarding COVID. the manager is overwhelmed and cannot fully enforce what are supposed to be MANDATORY rules - validation of vaccination, masking rules distancing etc. As this is a 24hr gym, there is ZERO oversight outside of normal business hours, and many non-conforming members are taking advantage of this, at the risk of others. I have reported multiple infractions, some repeat offenders, and there appears to be little effect. Signage is inconsistent (perhaps 2-3 small mask signs around the inside of the gym but nothing on the entrance door). I empathize with the manager who is clearly under-supported by ownership to enforce bylaw rules that are not being followed by a high majority of members. I have no idea if the people working out next to me without a mask and who do not wipe their equipment, are vaccinated or not. When discussed with management, i was told that all members were asked to provide proof- Except i have never received this notice and was never asked, and I've been a member for multiple years. I have to assume i am not the only one who has not received the emails. And now with a new variant, this becomes CRITICAL. I understand the pressures COVID put on businesses, and i empathize with any front line worker who has to enforce COVID rules in a city that has led the way in anti-vax/anti-mask sentiments since COVID started. Anytime fitness business model is not aligned with enforcing COVID rules due to no oversight after normal business hours. This is not an excuse. To make this a truly safe environment for EVERYONE, COVID rules must be followed without exception. A sign at the front door stating "you must show proof of vaccination" means nothing if they can come in and nobody is there to check it.

Expérience négative: During Covid in late 2020 I requested that my account be cancelled on 11 occasions, (following a 4 month pause). The Manager, Kristi, stated that this couldn’t be addressed because the club wasn’t open but would be done after reopening. I left over 10+ voicemails with no return. However, they continued billing me for 6 months following the request and never processed the cancellation. Their parent company refused to address the situation and I was sent to collections. They have been reported to multiple bodies for their fraudulent account management tactics and should be avoided. In my opinion, this location is just a modern day spin on the well known: “Gym scam”. Highly unethical and very unprofessional here. Please avoid and do not register at this location. It’s a horrible experience. They also run the one at Haysboro which is in shambles as well.

Expérience négative: The biggest problem with this gym is its just too small, they charge the same as other gyms in the area but offer only 1/4th of what the other gyms have. 2 squat racks, a smith machine, a cable machine and a few scattered random machines just isnt enough when Westside, Goodlife and Mount Royal are all within 10 minutes of this place and those facilities offer SO MUCH MORE for around the same price.

Expérience négative: Jo, the Asian “manager” and most of the staff need to be moved to a separate gym. I don’t think Jo or the manager know what purpose they actually serve at a gym. I would think that there job requires them to oversee equipment and provide info on memberships or classes. But no, Jo and a few other staff members have created nothing but bad experiences for me, and have completely destroyed my motivation to workout. There have been several occasions where I’m working out with friends and Jo or someone else picks on us for minor things like our mask beneath our nose. If I could go back in time I’d do things allot differently. I would forget anytime even existed and just try to make my own gym. If I own one in the future I’ll be sure not to suspend a members account for getting into an argument with a soft staff member either.

Expérience négative: Staff are snarky and smug towards customers. Rather than having a civil discussion regarding my breathing condition, four staff members approached me using aggressive tones and threatening to cancel my membership for pulling my mask down. All four staff sarcastically applauded my friend for pulling up his mask, which was shocking and unacceptable. We let them know we did not appreciate their immature behavior, and they responded by aggressively shouting at us to get out. The manager was extremely childish, getting right up in our faces screaming at us confrontationally without giving us a reason. Don't bother going to this gym, worst staff I've ever encountered at a gym.

Expérience négative: A few months before Covid I went there for a week of trial, they said I have to pay $50 deposit to have the fob for a week, they were supposed to send me the check for $50 but never refunded my money. I called them a few times they said ok we’ll talk to the manager, no one has got back to me since then. Please let me know who I should talk to?!!!!

Expérience négative: BEWARE, I do not believe this company has an HR department, if they do they surely don't know how to pass on basic standards of ethics to their employees let alone MANAGEMENT. After discovering my membership was on an auto renewal I called the facility back in February and was told my account had been cancelled. Fast forward to November and I am still having $63 drawn from my account monthly. It is like pulling teeth attempting to get ahold of a manager and if you do, you are more than likely to be talked down to, yelled at or even hung up on. I have never seen such a blatant disregard for customers. Thank you to the manager Natalie for your awful customer service. To anyone considering this gym, DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT. The staff is HORRIBLE and the gym itself is noting to boast about.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is a bit on the smaller side but still functional,. They have: -Two non-platform squat racks -Free weights (some doubles of the lower weights) -Multiple Benches -Full cable machine, smaller cable machine -Leg press, extension, curl, calf, thigh, and donkey kick machines -Studio room with mats, kettle weights and bands. -Treadmills, Ellipticals, 2 stair machines and a rowing machine. -Misc. shoulder, arm and chest machines and other equipment. They generally keep the cleaning supplies full (some days there will be no towels or some stations are out of wipes). The staff are friendly enough and the rates are fairly low.

Expérience négative: Not a great gym there are other anytimes that are much better I have gone here a couple times and the same issues were still apparent the lack of towels on a Saturday morning the hole in the wall that haven’t been fixed in over a month or the missing weight increments on the machines the low pressure at the water fountain. While I know I am taller I do find the water fountain low and I would say even for most people. I’m not asking for much but these are some easy fixes. I’m just happy this is not my local gym.

Expérience négative: 3/7 days the other week there were no towels, the TVs were out for about two weeks a while back and now out again today, holes in walls etc not repaired in years and equipment takes too long to get fixed when broken. The place is really showing it’s age lately. With more members than before wouldn’t there be more cashflow for repair and maintenance? Hate to complain online but also think this should be addressed long before people have to point it out to management.

Expérience fantastique: Very friendly gym, the staff is great and the trainers are excellent. They take their time and don’t rush through workouts. Marcus has been a very positive influence helping me achieve my goals. He checks in to see how I’m doing and makes sure I’m sticking to my goals which I really appreciate it. Expérience fantastique: I go to this gym around 5 days a week. Whenever I enter the front door I feel welcomed by the staff. The staff recognize and remember me as an individual and flash a smile or wave. It’s nice to go to a gym every day and feel welcomed. The staff seem to genuinely care about you and are always helpful and friendly. The equipment is well maintained and kept clean. The bathroom/shower rooms are clean and there are always towels available. Nothing negative to say about my experience with anytime fitness.

Expérience positive: A great gym overall that is not too crowded with people. A great location with parking available too. The place is tiny but it has all the equipment I need to work out. However, there's no towels every time I go work out at night. Out of my last 10 visits, I was able to use the towel only twice or so. Also, the white lighting in the workout area is way too bright. It would be great if the gym switches the lighting to more soft tone like yellow. Anytime Fitness on 1st SW lighting is all soft yellow which makes me feel comfortable working out there.

Torn padding on arm curl machine and leg extension seat - making for a potential a bio-hazard trap. Also, I’m noticing more and more often that the towels are stained, clean but stained. Hi Brent. Sorry about the delay getting back to you. and sorry about the condition of the club dropping off a bit. The upholstery is a special type that we had a problem getting received in Calgary. In fact, we got it replaced 2 weeks ago and it was the wrong fabric, just got it done again and returned it to the club on Monday. I think you will find that they are all repaired now. We also have brought in extra fabric so that the wait does not occur again. Towels have been a tough go that we are trying to maintain as a service, but between abuse and theft it is getting very difficult in todays economy to continue. I have just brought in a few hundred new towel to help with the running out issue and make the service better. Please feel free to stop at the office and talk to the manager Kristi to let her know about any issue that you might have, and we will do everything possible to fix it fast or at least give you an explanation of where we are at with a fix.
Expérience positive: It's great, but there are two things I am finding so inconvenient: the water fountain which takes ages to fill the bottle up because it's not meant for bottles (just direct drinking), and the excessive number of machines for that small place. Even if the gym is not busy, sometimes you can't use the machine you want because someone is working out too close to that machine (using another one). I wish there was less equipment and more room. And the water issue - I do high intensity training and have to stop for a minute or longer every once in a while to fill up the bottle, or just stay dehydrated. Other than this, it's a perfect location, great staff and clean facility.

Expérience négative: I drive from the NE to come work out with Chael every week, I highly recommend working with him to meet your fitness goals.The staff and facility are amazing. Much cleaner than the location I regularly use. Two things to note: 1. Parking is atrocious. 2. While most of the patrons I have encountered have been polite, leaving the facility one night I was openly and blatantly body shamed by a complete stranger, to my face. My negative experience was handled by the staff in a professional and supportive manner. To comment about the woman who verbally abused me, I am unsure if she was a patron of this business or if she was there for one of the other businesses. The nature of her words and attire indicated she was there to use the facility, but I cannot confirm it was a patron. Edit: I moved to Manitoba and cancelled my membership. Unfortunately, I have been billed since then as they did not cancel it. Great people, poor process management.
Hi Brandi. Thank you for your review. I will have you know that I am in negotiations with the landlord to get parking spaces allotted to the club. We have had issues with the dance studio and daycare using everything. I will let you know when I get any progress. As for Chael, I will give him your positive feedback and you will make his day! Expérience positive: The staff are very friendly and the gym usually isn’t too busy whether I go in the morning or in the afternoon. I wish they had more/better classes because I really enjoy the classes. Morning classes would be great! I also only gave 4 stars because I have gone in the morning several times and there haven’t been towels, I don’t like to bring my own because I work in the complex so my damp towel makes my gym bag smell like mildew after it sits in it all day and the towel smells like it regardless of whether or not I put it in a separate bag.

Expérience négative: The staff who work here are for the most part really friendly. This gym is way too small for the number of members, if you are interested in lifting weights just be warned there are only two squat racks and one smith machine with no extra barbells. The "studio" for classes needs walls and some new fitness instructors. There is no real place to setup for deadlifts and hip thrusts. There are 3 hand attachments for the cables. It's just a really weird setup and it's almost always crowded unless you come during the day. I will probably not renew my membership with anytime, even though it's only two minutes from my house.

Expérience positive: Love this gym! Very good equipment and has pretty much all you need to get a good workout in. There are some days that the gym is quite packed, and since it is a bit small, you might have to wait a while to get the machine you want. Also, the parking lot tends to get packed, mostly from the dance studio beside it, so you might have to drive around a couple times to find a spot. However, the facility is very nice and provides clean showers and towels for everyone to use!

Nice area but parking lot is always packed and hard to find a spot. Also on contract, it clearly says that key fob deposit is refundable but they wouldnt refund when you cancel the membership and saying that can re-use later for your life time. lol..

Expérience fantastique: This is my favorite gym in years because of the positive, professional, empowering, genuine and helpful staff, the ever-clean and beautiful facility, the reasonable membership price, the coaching services, the coaching app and fitness trackers included, the open-hours and much more. I think my favorite thing is the positive energy there- from staff and members alike; really a great culture and community no matter what one's fitness level or goals are and that is fantastic! "Whether it's ten miles...or ten minutes!" is on the wall..so inspiring and true! Haysboro location, owned by the same person is also a very positive atmosphere and place to grow my mind, body and friendships!

Expérience fantastique: This gym is excellent! The facility is well maintained, a good community of members willing to give advice and encourage one another. The staff is very friendly and they take their jobs seriously. The trainers are not just someone doing a job, they all have serious goals in mind and their winning attitude translates into their delivery of service to the client. I train at this Anytime and others in Calgary and at locations in my travels. This location by far has been the best compared to most. Yes many other locations are good, but this one.. it has everything needed for most training requirements and you can truly meet and exceed your goals here...I call it home and take my training seriously, so should you !

Expérience négative: I've been a member of this gym for more than 2 years now and since then, the service and cleanliness has gone downhill. It's a good basic gym if that's what you're looking for, but it's small and the class schedule keeps getting reduced. The parking lot is congested when the dance studio next door is in session, and the cubbies and bathrooms, particularly the floors and the showers, are filthy. Also, when the shower gel runs out, it's not replenished for more than a week or until someone says something. On a positive note, the staff (does not include the owner) are friendly. I will only stay a member until I move out of the area.

Expérience positive: I had a membership at this location since it opened and have seen several owners come and go. Very friendly and helpful staff! It is very clean with large mirrors and cable tv on all cardio machines. They also have a virtual trainer with hundreds of workouts on a 10'? screen. Everything from yoga to kickboxing and spin is on the virtual trainer. It is a great gym. The only issue I have with it is that it is quite small for the amount of people that go there. I do not like waiting for the squat rack. However, it can be a pain, but you are able to avoid the crowd because it is truly 24 hours unlike goodlife. 9pm- 5am it is the best gym around. During the day it is crowded.

Expérience négative: Beware, especially of their contracts. Unbelievable. My wife and I have three kids. One of our kids has autism another with cerebral Palsey. After the 1 year contract was up. They continued to charge our account. My wife called in to close the account and we thought everything should be good and they still charged our account. This is where the challenges come in. My wife had to go in to sign a form to cancel the account which was a maggot challenge with our schedule, not to mention we were now living in a different part of the city. She went in and signed the form and they are still charging our account. I have never seen such blatant disregard not just for customers but just any standard of ethics. Do not sign a contract here unless you are ready to sign for life. Do a single pay option and protect your self.

The owner Rob uses condensing and disrespectful language, Staff don't treat clients professionally. Prices are extremely high compared to an extremely well equipped gym like Westside that you can access everything on their facility. Don't EVER set foot in this place.

People and staff talk behind back and the scheduling is done at another Anytime fitness for this one. Staff turn over lots. So sad as in my area. They offer for free if sign membership. Music has swears. Don't go.

Expérience fantastique: This is a new gym; It has all the necessary equipment that you need, along with free parking, a good management team, and lots of coffee shops and restaurants just steps away from it. The one small issue that arose was taken care by the owner Rob right away. Over all I would recommend this gym to anyone thats looking to stay in shape up in the west end of Calgary.
