Expérience fantastique: Anytime Fitness is an amazing gym to train at. It has everything you need from cardio to lifting weights. The facility is exceptionally clean with access to a lot of spray bottles to spray your own machine down after use. All coaches are knowledgeable in their field and mine in particular, Ceejay, is definitely helping me get back on the right track to finding a healthier me. I absolutely recommend Anytime Fitness!! Best gym in town!!

It is exceptionally clean always and well looked after. The best part of this place is also the community that comes with it. Such great amazing people that work there. Front desk staff are flawless and the trainers and owners are just amazing. Just came for another visit these last few weeks and they've been so helpful and kind And I always feel welcome back. The members are all friendly to each other and love to say hello. For me being shy this was amazing to help me come to the gym and feel comfortable and confident. This gym was a great experience for me for the fact that it wasn't just the facility but everything and everyone that came with it highly recommend!

Expérience fantastique: I started my experience with anytime fitness almost 2 years ago. At the time I started I was on blood pressure pills, had liver issues and was exhausted all the time. Fast forward 2 years, thanks to Anytime and Ceejay, I have a whole new lifestyle, I am down almost 60 pounds, I no longer need blood pressure pills and just got the results from the doctor that my liver is in excellent shape. I can run with the grandkids all day. Anytime fitness and Ceejay changed my life for the better.

The facility is clean, great atmosphere especially if you are new to the gym community. Would recommend to anyone in the area and even just to stop in and do your workouts if you are travelling through. Have also heard they step up in the community and bring a real positive attitude where ever they go.

The personal trainers are very focused on their clients when working with them. It’s one of the most comfortable and welcoming gyms I have ever stepped foot in. Expérience négative: If I could give less, I would. Was really excited to get my membership to Anytime Fitness again after having babies, however there were some contributing factors to my review; 1. The floors are filthy, no matter what time of day I came. The studio floor especially, being covered in hair to outright dirt and rocks. 2. Saw members walking around barefoot. I personally find this disgusting on top of it not only being a health concern but also a safety issue. It was pretty repulsive and made me not want to come back. 3. Being followed and watched by a member who has apparently been reported for doing this to other females. It's one thing to watch someone casually, but to follow them around the gym while staring intensely is enough to make anyone's skin crawl. Suffering from PPA, it was already hard to come back to the gym and have enough confidence to be working out, but this made it very hard to stay committed to my Fitness journey knowing I'd be followed around by a grown man. 4. I unfortunately needed to cancel my membership due to health complications and inquired with front desk on how to cancel. They said with a doctors note stating my injury and that I cannot return to the gym indefinitely, that it would be suffice for cancelation. It took over 2 weeks for the cancelation to even be acknowledged and processed only to get an email saying that I'll keep being charged biweekly through a FREEZE when I was supposed to have it canceled. It's been over a month since I've used the facility while still being charged. I knew I should've listened to the things people were saying about this place stealing money and coming up with reasons to not cancel stuff. It's unfortunate because I had a really great experience in a different city at Anytime Fitness, but this location put a bad taste in my mouth. Definitely do not recommend this gym, and I've worked as a fitness professional for over a decade. By far the worst ownership. To the owner, if you want this review edited, actually cancel my membership like I was told would happen after I did EXACTLY what YOUR staff told me to do.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve ben training with Daniel for 2months he has Ben awesome at coaching me get very strong improve bench and deadlift since my last powerlifting competition. At my last meet I hit 240 bench and 285 on my deadlift. In 2 months I hit a new PR at 260 bench and 315 deadlift. I highly recommend Daniel for anyone looking to put on muscle and get stronger! He has been a great coach and a great personal overall!

Expérience fantastique: I have been going to the gym for a couple years now. An injury from work took away most of my strength and mobility in my left arm. I didn't know what to do and lost a lot of confidence in myself. I decided to see if getting a personal trainer would help. Daniel became my personal trainer and he has been amazing! He has made routines for me that have helped to regain a lot of strength and mobility in my arm and in turn has brought my confidence back! I encourage anyone to come to this gym as everyone is incredibly nice and will encourage and help you to achieve your goals!

Expérience fantastique: I started training with Daniel just over a month ago looking to put on more muscle hoping to reach my goal of 150lb. I am 5 weeks in and with his guidance, motivation, and inspiration i have managed to gain 14lbs in just over 5 weeks. He is such a great trainer and overall a great guy. I’m lucky to have him as my trainer and would recommend him to anyone else looking for a gym partner to keep them motivated to achieving their goals.

Expérience fantastique: I have been going to Anytime fitness for about 6 weeks now and I have been working with the personal training Daniel. He is amazing and I cannot recommend him enough. I have previous injuries and complications that can hinder my workouts and Daniel took the time to listen and developed a plan that worked for me. In just a few weeks I have gained strength and can already see the difference in my body. Daniel clearly understands my goals and has developed a long-term plan on how to get there. Thanks to Daniel I have found a passion for exercise that I thought I never would find!!

Expérience positive: This is a great gym for anyone but for me I appreciate the effort this gym puts into creating a satisfying environment to train in. Everything is clean and neatly organized. The staff are very friendly and encouraging and so are the customers! I’m a competitive bodybuilder and I have trained at countless gyms across the country and the world. Expérience fantastique: This gym has been a game-changer for us. We have started training with a personal trainer and we are looking forward to meeting our goals in 2024. Anytime and our coach are going to facilitate this for us. The facility is wonderful (very clean!) and both the staff and other members have been so welcoming and kind. The other patrons are serious about fitness, which sometimes could feel intimidating, but in the case of this gym, it's been inspiring. Highly recommend!

Expérience négative: They were very efficient in signing me up quickly 3 years ago but upon termination of My contract they made it difficult for me to leave. I waited 3 years to finally be free from my membership that I hardly used for a variety of reasons but unknowingly I was switched to an open ended term wherein I am required to write a letter requesting to end it after 60 days. What a scam! Please don’t fall for this. I strongly suggest that everyone who is thinking of signing up read the fine-line carefully and stress this out before putting your signature in a contract.

Expérience négative: Helped me greatly when able to get to gym. They have issues abiding by their word and policy. Apparently they need their payments so bad they are going after a dying man's money. Looks real good in head office. Update... you got your Dr note to cancel my membership as per your email and you still are trying to take payment. Sad excuse for an organization. Update.... I have confirmation via email that this clown squad of a gym, were not going to take anymore monies from me... am out monies again. Fraudulent business model!

When I signed the contract I was told that when I moved out of the Westside I would be able to cancel my contract which was the only reason I signed. However after the move when I went to cancel my contract they told me that I hadn't moved far enough. It would be nice if the people behind the desk had the training to be able to inform new clients of the proper protocols. 100% do not recommend.

Tried to cancel my membership where I signed up when I moved back home far from Lethbridge. upon this I was told I had drive hours to cancel my membership in person at the Lethbridge gym and even then I would be charged an additional two months. I couldn’t make the drive so I had to cancel my credit card to stop being charged. because of this they sent a massive bill to collections and dinged my credit score. Do not sign up for a membership unless you’re ok with getting jipped at every possible opportunity.

Expérience fantastique: The 'Anytime Fitness' franchises have always been stellar worldwide. The Lethbridge location is no exception. This is a wonderful gym, the staff are excellent, kind, and ALWAYS cleaning. The gym shines bright like a diamond... The equipment is well organized. They have tons of cardio equipment which includes 2 types of bikes, climbers, ellipticals, and treadmills. Punching bag in the back room is great, and a 'yoga' type area as well. Its great for stretching, body weight exercises, jump rope, and kettlebell workouts. As for the accommodations, it has 5 private bathrooms and 3 have showers. They have lockers and public cubbies which are right beside the staff desk and monitored with cameras. This is much safer than other gyms with lockers that may not lock and are in unsupervised shared locations. I would strongly recommend this gym, and look at getting yourself a 3 year membership. You can save a lot of money per month and save money on some ancillary charges. If you pay the full fee upfront you can also save even more money!

Then I'm told even though I'm not on a contract I have to give 60 written notice. So continue being over charged by $19 every 2 weeks for another 60 days?

The staff from the front desk to the trainers and owners are all so easy to talk to and willing to help if you have any questions. I find the members that go there are very friendly also. You won’t be disappointed if you get a membership here or work with a trainer.

I have been to a couple of gyms in the city and I rate this one the worst gym ever, from being so complicated with their so called contract and them lacking empathy. I know these franchises is all about money but this gym here cares zero about their client and definitely loves their money guys please save your coins and go to a gym that will appreciate it. If you don’t like complications don’t get into this gym. I will make sure everyone I know and care about don’t ever think about using this gym they have lost a client and probably many more to come.

Expérience négative: Wish I didn’t sign up for a year membership. Was expecting the same space and luxuries of other locations but the equipment is severely out of date and lacklustre, particularly compared to gyms such as the YMCA- no running simulators, equipment is old, some of the treadmills are wonky and haven’t been fixed since reporting it to staff, no counters on the equipment, etc. I’ve been to other AF locations that I LOVED but this one does not hold up. Also, every single time I’ve tried to use the showers they were visibly unclean (hair, footprints, etc). They don’t even have lockers so your stuff just hangs out in an open cubby. The gym is small, paint job out of date, and it is often crowded even in the late evening. Especially doesn’t help that there is only singles of most of the machines so if someone is using it you have to wait- annoying on both ends. If you want a better gym, check out the YMCA. Insanely better deal and very new equipment. Anytime Fitness could stand to use their high membership price to do some well needed updating. I have no idea where the money goes to. Most trainers were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful so all my stars are to them, but otherwise there isn’t a thing about this gym that makes me happy about signing up and it’s to the point where I feel I have to tell people it isn’t worth it when they ask and don’t want others to get roped in by the short term deals.

Expérience négative: Honestly if I could rate 0 I would. I am so done with this company. How many times I have been lied to or told one thing then another happens. They have charged me how many nsf fees or missed payment fees saying I have no money then the same day I go in with the same credit card and go in an I'm like wow didn't even have your payment go through my account and clearly had the funds to pay you since I just paid that in store on the same card and account. Then when you pay early they don't put the payment down as paid and try and charge you again and so I have to go through a month of receipts to show them I freaking paid them to get my fees back yet they make it difficult everytime. I would love to leave but when I was first starting out they told me there is a fee to leave the membership and almost 200 300 okay but I would have to pay out the entire thing is what they tell me differently later on so I just pay out the year instead of a fee. It is a ridiculous company and no one knows what is going on. Communication and honest communication is a big thing.

Expérience positive: I think it is outgrowing it’s space. Definitely WAY more crowded than in years past - which is great for business, sucks for members - ha! Overall it’s a great atmosphere, great staff, clean, etc. The equipment is pretty squished in together … which honestly sucks … but again, there is something about this place that keeps pulling me back Maybeeeee there will be a bigger facility in their future!!

Expérience négative: I loved the idea of going to the gym anytime day or night. Unfortunately, I purchased a prepaid voucher of $100. at a charity auction when this business first opened. When I went to register as a member, the management refused to honor the voucher. I waited several months and tried again with no different outcome. My impression of this business's pre-Covid integrity is very poor. After posting this review, the management did reach out to me.... so who knows? The voucher has no expiry date!

If you're not in their power lifting club, you'll just be another number & payment to them. Only giving them 3 stars because they have decent equipment, although their cables are severely in need of replacement.

Expérience fantastique: This is my home gym. I travel a fait bit, see a lot of other locations. They're all great, but I strongly feel the best one is the Lethbridge one. Mostly due to the owners. There seems to be a push to focus on performance and overall health and wellness. A refreshing break from the image obsessed and they have everything you could need in a gym from up to 150lbs dbs to a glute ham raise bench and everything else in between. 24 hr access and trouble free 24hr access to the other locations, makes this the best gym in town, for me.

Expérience fantastique: This gym makes it easier to fit training into my busy schedule. I can go as early as I want and not have to rely on anyone to open up. I can train when I am in Calgary with no drop in fees (but the Lethbridge location is better equipped than any of the Calgary locations). The staff is friendly, the machines are new, it's clean and well maintained. If you can commit to a longer term, you get a better price. Love this gym!

Expérience fantastique: What can I say about Anytime YQL? I've been going here since I moved to Lethbridge for University probably 4 years ago and I was looking for a way to stay active after hanging up my boxing gloves. Over the years, the gym has evolved considerably, Ceejay and Shane have done a great job in growing the gym, and increasing the availability of equipment over the years, even the niche equipment. Unlike many other Anytime Fitness, locations this gym caters to all, both the casual lifter and more serious lifters alike. Often when travelling through Alberta I have found other locations lacking, in grips, attachments, benches, and equipment. But at Anytime YQL I have always had everything I need and more! Most recently, the addition of a dedicated bench press rack has been a welcome edition freeing up the full and half racks while providing a "proper" way to bench. The gym is also clean, the staff do a great job not only keeping everything arranged, but clean as well. In the past few years I have seen some not so great gyms. Other "commercial" gyms I have been in can be chaotic with plates laying around, and equipment strewn about NOT HERE! Which brings me to the people! Over the years I have not only made new friends but I cannot recall a singular bad interaction with anyone, everyone has always been so friendly, kind, and willing to help/spot! This to me has been important, I always feel welcome and I always feel like I can come in and just work out with like minded people in a fun environment. Not to mention the owners are knowledgeable and actually work out in the gym, while simultaneously working at an elite level in the industry. If you want competition level results they can get you there. In the beginning I picked this gym because it was close to where I live, and it still is, but I wont be parting ways any time soon so long as I still live in Lethbridge. It has been an integral part to not only maintaining my fitness/strength goals but my daily routine as well. Strongly recommend.

My daughter and I are training with Bryana G. she is amazing!!! in the short time that she has been working with us, we already see results. We look forward to the workouts. I was hesitant to pay the extra for a trainer, but I now know that is is one of the best decisions ever. I highly recommend Anytime Fitness.

Expérience négative: I enjoyed the gym while I was a member but when I decided to leave after my 6-month contract was over, they made me pay for an extra 2 months according to a policy that no one mentioned when I first signed up. One month after I was officially done, they also charged me another $20 for a "gym maintenance fee" even though I wasn't a member anymore. If it wasn't for this I would have probably come back, but not anymore.

Expérience négative: Read the fine print. Gave my 10 days notice in writing as per the contract. I gave them 18 months of fees for nothing. Now they are constantly hounding me for one more month. Calls after hours by there robo caller, texting me at work and probably sold my cell number for a few extra dollars. Hidden BS fees, typical cooperation that doesn't give a flying f about anything but getting your account # and the ability to debit your a account every month. Just like the classic movie dodgeball., do yourself and the community a favor and join a gym that is locally owned and operated.

Expérience négative: They sign you up for auto renewal without telling you. Then make it very difficult to cancel membership. The gym itself is alright.

Expérience fantastique: I really like this gym. It never seems overly busy and the staff seem quite pleasant. The machines all work and appear to be properly maintained and very clean. One the best things is the private bathrooms and showers. I've gone to almost every gym in town and this one is absolutely my favorite. Reasonable membership pricing as well.

Expérience positive: Great gym, lots of equipment and hasn’t ever been over crowded when I go. 24 hour access is a huge plus in my books. Friendly staff that want to see you succeed. Equipment is well maintained and clean. Any issues that I have noticed with equipment have always been corrected immediately. To address some other negative reviews, I haven’t had to wait for a shower/change room once the entire year I have been going. I used to go to the local university gym, which was always over crowded and not nearly as clean and paid the same I do now at Anytime. The only reason I did take one star off is because I agree with others about the contract, I don’t agree that a yearly contract should be signed. If I decide to take a break from the gym I feel I shouldn’t be held to pay. My opinion, but I understand why it’s in place and go along with it. Such is life, right?

Expérience négative: Gyms alright, clean good equipment, watch out for the contract you sign. If you're going to end it (even after you've finished the contract) they need 2 months notice and a typed letter stating why. Not to mention the fees are roughly 3 times that of other gyms, they really need the cash.

Expérience fantastique: The best ATF in all of Alberta. Owners actually use the gym. The gym is ALWAYS clean, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Expérience positive: Gym is good however there are only 2 shower station.

Expérience négative: Total bs. They transfer your account from a city to another with letting you know, they also renew your account automatically without letting you know. I've been with the Calgary location for a year and I've never had any problems, but as soon as they transferred my account to lethbridge, now its total bs. I planned to cancel my membership after a year (because my contract was over), and unlike the other locations; they don't let you come in the office to cancel it. You have to send a registered post letter to them in order to get your membership cancelled. I have already sent them a letter and now they want me to send another one in order to cancel my membership; and they are still taking money from my account; worst anytime fitness management I've ever been. Don't sign up there ever.
