Expérience fantastique: I went to planet fitness with my wife(Windermere location )yesterday and staff of this club have friendly and supportive behaviour.We went many locations of planet fitness They were refused me because my wife don’t have credit card as I know it’s necessary to have credit card but in this location (Harleen) team member helped us in manual signup with debt card. Expérience fantastique: I wanna share my today’s experience with planet fitness staff Me and my friend went to planet fitness Windermere location for club tour and join membership. We met Harleen (staff member).she have calm and friendly behaviour .she treat us very friendly . she also explained every single thing regarding membership and club tour .

Expérience négative: Unless you have a credit card, they won't let you sign up for a gym membership. They don't accept debit Visa.

Expérience fantastique: Great equipment and great people. Not many gyms enforce rules now days. I’m happy that Planet Fitness does. Most of the people complaining about not being able to talk on their phone while “working out” have serious issues getting off their phones.

Expérience négative: Didn't register and won't go back. They trying to get in your pockets

Always approachable, super friendly, and makes sure everything runs smoothly. You can tell he genuinely wants the best experience for everyone.

Expérience positive: I like this gym it's clean, never too busy when I go and the staff are always friendly. The guy who works in the evening I forget his name but I know he goes on a lot of cruises and is a student he is always very personable, nice and respectful and he's always working hard cleaning the gym so he deserves a shout out and the manager working this morning at planet fitness south common that I spoke to she was a gem and she really did make my day better. As for the people who go to the gym well I guess it's a lot of thieves who never learned that stealing is wrong! Some stuff needs to stay behind the front desk because they keep getting stolen. Just the other day I guess I left my expensive Bluetooth earbuds at the gym and no one turned them in which is really disappointing. Honestly the only reason I'm considering canceling as a black card member is because of some of the lowly people who go to the gym and steal. It's really disappointing. I know it's a lot of young people but I don't wanna be around people like that. Hello thanks for your response. I actually found my Bluetooth headphones I was so happy when they turned up and i apologise for assuming they were stolen at the gym. I honestly believed I left them behind on a piece of equipment and someone had snatched them. I guess because I know there's a theft issue with the padding for the smith machine and ankle strap (they are left behind the counter at the front desk). So I just automatically assumed that. On another note I'm glad your water fountain machine always works because south common never does! But I'd appreciate PF looking into a glute hip thrust machine and a front/back squat machine (the padding on the shoulder) then you squat-not sure the name of it. Anyways, all in all I would recommend this gym. I prefer windermere location and going forward ill be more careful and aware of my personal belongings so as to not misplace them or lose them.

Expérience négative: I used to love this gym when it was newly open not until they changed the manager. The manager now is rude in the way she approaches people. Before you come to conclusion, if someone is using their phone, please observe first if they truly are. I was on the phone when I entered to the gym, but before I came to the actual workout area I hung up the phone call. I know the policy but I felt like I was being followed as soon as I entered? I don't mind if you tell me the rules but please watch the tone of your voice. If the manager keeps this behaviour you will lose a lot of members. I don't feel happy and comfortable going to the gym anymore, this was the first time I was treated like this at Windermere Gym. I have been to many gyms, but her behaviour was disgusting, stop harassing customers for being on the phone.

Expérience négative: Planet Fitness employee Tanya is extremely racist, singled me out for taking a work call while there were 2 other members doing the same thing. I asked her to cancel my membership right away as she lacks professionalism and has poor inter-personal communication skills. I am just disappointed that some people are still struggling with racism virus, I hope they find a cure. Get well soon Tanya.

Expérience négative: Really like this gym but everytime I go to use the tanning beds the staff doesn't know anything about the beds. I wanted to Turn off the face tan button. I didn't want to tan my face. One time I was instructed incorrectly and ended up tanning my face. Today thought I'll try again and still the, staff has no idea how to turn off this function. Thought I'd try the, red light bed again no one knows how to answer my questions and turn off the face button. Please train your staff on this.... all of them. I now, went to tanning salon instead. When you pay for pass and you can't utilize the amenities it is, frustrating.

Expérience négative: I always feel the staff at this location is highly untrained and doesn’t know anything at all if I ask to make a change to my membership or any other queries. They just say we do not know and our manager is not here today( I only go in evening). Either there management is also the same or this location is not enrolled for any training on there system at all.

But here’s the kicker: the staff is next-level awesome. I chatted with four different folks, and each one blew my mind with their service. To the owner: You’ve hit the jackpot with this team. If I ever win the lottery and start my own business, I’ll be scooping up your crew at double the pay. Consider this your friendly warning!

Expérience positive: This gym is clean, the equipment is new, and they have a lot of it. Although the gym is small, they obviously tried to maximize the space by fitting as much equipment as possible. Most PF locations seem to have a pretty high standard which is nice considering how affordable it is! If you go to the gym between 4pm-6pm, be prepared to wait as there will likely be no room in the free-weight section or any smith machines available. This is probably the busiest time, and for that reason, I have switched to mornings so that more equipment is available. My biggest complaint is that at this PF in particular (I go to almost all of them in Edmonton and this is the only one I have this complaint for), in the morning, the music is WAY too loud. I can hear it clearly above my noise cancelling headphones, which is pretty annoying. Looking around, most people have headphones in, so I don't think anyone would mind if you turned it down a bit.. please :')

Expérience fantastique: Planet Fitness in Windermere is an excellent gym. It is clean, the equipment is new and in excellent working condition. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I really enjoy the extras with the PF black card membership and the affordability of membership.

The vibe and culture all the way from the top down is friendly, helpful, kind and professional. I highly recommend this gym. You all have taken my gym experience to new levels!

Expérience fantastique: I joined at the start of 2024 and enjoy being a member of a health club that has tanning and chair/water bed massages as a bonus at the end of each workout.

Expérience négative: I was at the gym today ,one guy and his girlfriend I guess ,kissing each other for mins infront of ppl and touching each other ,where is the managers to kick those ppl out of the gym ,this is baddd ,this is a gym not a night club ,guys put rules at this gym,lve seen kids at this gym with there parents ,how can you let this happen? Not good for kids to see this at a professional gym

I’ve been coming here for a month and three times their hours didn’t match what Google said. I will be cancelling and going to a gym under better management so I can maintain a consistent workout schedule.

Expérience positive: After my last review, the Management did pay attention and the places is looking way better The washrooms are way Cleaners still need more cleaning but is way better than what it was. The mirror in the washrooms are also getting clean but not all the time and the soap in the showers still half empty most of the time, but still better than before.

Expérience négative: I have a medical issue where I carry medications and food with me incase of a issue and I have had no complaints from other gym members and today I was removed and had my member ship canceled because I had my bag with medicine and some food just incase

Expérience fantastique: I'm not from Edmonton, I'm simply visiting and I was looking for a gym. I usually stay in Montreal and to be honest I was surprised at the condition of the gym. It's very clean and the machines are all working. People are considerate about the hygiene of the place, everyone cleans the machines once they are done with them. Definitely coming back.

Moreover, it is reassuring to note that these businesses uphold uncompromising standards of quality. Personally, I greatly appreciate the experience of visiting Planet Fitness.

Expérience positive: Clean and welcoming place, my one issue is with the leg extension machine, being a 5ft 3 male, married to a 5ft wife, we find the machine impossible to use, even after all adjustments are made. The issue is particularly worse for us seeing as though my wife is undergoing physio exercises to heal her back injury, one of which required the leg extension machine. If this issue could be solved, it would be a 5 star place

Expérience fantastique: The gym is always clean. If the wipe towels empty, they get filled quickly. Everyone that works out there seems to mind their own business too, which is nice.

Expérience négative: Planet Fitness as a whole is scammy. I cancelled my membership but my bank was still being debited for a couple months after CANCELLATION!! I went in and was told it wasn’t cancelled as even though I was told otherwise. The app doesn’t let you change banking info because it glitches and says error even when the info is correct. The gym is all smith machines which creates muscle imbalances and causes instability as it’s not our body’s natural movement. Highly don’t recommend this gym, Fit4Less, Anytime Fitness or even Terwillegar rec centre would be your best bet.

Expérience positive: Great for the $15 a month. Need a hack squat machine and more 45 lb plates around the leg press.

Expérience négative: I'm disappointed that Planet Fitness doesn't allow for membership freezes outside of medical or military reasons. As many Albertans know, blue collar work often involves temporary assignments out of town, and my recent remote work assignment is a perfect example. Instead of being able to simply freeze my membership and return when I'm back in town, I'm forced to cancel entirely. It's a shame that such a large gym chain lacks the flexibility that many other gyms offer, especially when it comes to the realities of our local workforce. Hopefully they'll reconsider this policy in the future, but until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Expérience négative: The gym is friendly, clean and a good assortment of equipment. With that being said, I have changed my info on file 3 times as it wasn't working . I have both my debit and credit card on file. With it not working I'm getting double charged every month. Already discussed this with manager Hedi aswell as several staff members. I'm just told multiple times to change my bank info and it's still not working. I am so frustrated everything is just annoying AND they refuse to give either a credit or a Refund for the over charge of late fees. Probably just gonna cancel membership

Expérience négative: Really disappointed in the lack of equipment. No real squat racks, bench press, or deadlift equipment. Everything is either Smith machines or dumbbells. If you're a Newby to the gym I guess it's a good place to start but not a great setup for anyone else.

My main complaint is the lack of personal hygiene among some members(mainly body odour) and the unwillingness of staff to address the issue. I understand it can be a touchy subject, but this is a small gym with many members and personal hygiene should be a priority.

Expérience fantastique: I attended the Windermere Planet Fitness Centre. It is a very nice and clean gym. It is not as big as the Mayfield Planet Fitness Centre, but it has enough equipments for a good workout. The ventilation is great as well, no smell of sweat around. I met Melissa, one of the staff, she is very friendly, she smile at you, made you feel welcome there. I saw her wiping the yellow bin that holds the garbage bin, wow...she really keeps the place cleaned, what a caring staff. I also met the Manager, Lisa, at the front end, she is also very friendly and approachable. She answered all my questions, a very knowledgeable Manager. Great gym!

Expérience fantastique: Great service, great people and never waiting for a piece of equipment. It is Crazy cheap and easy to afford a gym membership as well.

Expérience négative: I decided to cancel my membership after a couple of days. I wanted to join a different gym with more amenities. The manager on duty said that I had to call head office to get a refund of the sign up fee, that they don’t refund anything at the club level. She gave me a number to their third party billing. That company said that I had to speak with the manager at the club location that I joined. Classic run-around to avoid refunding my money. Horrible customer service! The company's reply was to reach out to management but didn't leave a number or email so that I can reach out to corporate, because the local manager still won't do anything for me!

Expérience fantastique: I am glad I signed up! Phenomenal customer service! Jayde & Sachieka always go above and beyond to help AND keep the gym SPOTLESS! I wish I knew the other morning staff's names because I would include them all. These ladies work so hard to keep the gym clean and stalked with what's needed. I have never seen staff work this hard and I've been to a lot of gyms! I hope Planet Fitness is taking good care of their employees because staff like this is definitely hard to come by these days.

Expérience positive: Good atmosphere at this gym and the staff are nice. My only issue with this gym is that 90% of the gyms budget has clearly gone towards treadmills and ellipticals. There are no squat racks ( they are all smith machines)
