Expérience positive: Its okay for general workout late night or early mornings because it gets busy quickly especially considering its the only gym in town and the overall capacity it has. More machines occupying the floor space.

Expérience négative: I was only in town for a couple of days to visit and was looking for a place to do a drop in and decided to call to see if the gym offered a drop in, didn't mind the cost. Got a hold of a customer representative and when I tell you how bad his service was. You would believe the person should not have anything to do with customer service. He told me that the drop in was not available, which fine I understand. However, they have a deal going on to offer a 7 day free trial and I asked if I could redeem that and the response was that they do not offer that because they are Site2Gym. I was confused as I thought they were Anytime Fitness and when I wanted to clarify that they said they were Anytime Fitness. So I brought up why they would offer the deal if they are not going to honor it and he said that they are Site2Gym and every location is different. I kept pointing out that it was on their website and we kept going in circles over that. Don't start brining up another gym if you are an Anytime Fitness. Horrible service and a condensing demeanor. Called Planet Fitness and they actually know how deal with a potential customer. Update: To the response made. If you were to read my review thoroughly, you would see that I mentioned that I understand that a drop in is not available after inquiring about it. You just overlooked the entire issue that I had of your gym promoting a 7 day free trial on your website and not honouring it.

Expérience négative: Worst customer service.. I visit at Chestermere location today and they explain me what plans they offered. Some plans are contracted base as I understand that if I will cancel it then I need to pay extra as I agree with it but there is biweekly plan and no contract as you can cancel it anytime and in meanwhile they mentioned that there is condition of cancellation as you need to inform us 30 days ahead which doesn’t make sense that I am going with biweekly plan and if need to cancel then inform 30days before That mean if I am not continuing then after two weeks I need to pay extra for two weeks. One side they said no contract and other side mentioned the condition. This act show that how much they are greedy……. On the other hand when i showed my concern then he got angry at me. Very poor customer service. Some of from management will read my review and might be thinking it is not new as they are receiving this kind response all the time but this is very concerning. I just visited once and felt that there are lot of things you need to watch and improve. No doubt you earning a lot and not taking seriously but with few changes you can make it better and happy everyone. People join gym to keep their body fit and relaxed and stress free but this gym service gives you stress. Please at least train your staff to how to do customer care and doesn’t matter they join or no as how to deal with customer.

Expérience négative: I don't even know where to begin with this place. If you are planning on going to a gym THIS PLACE IS NOT IT!. You are better off burning your money or giving it to a crackhead downtown. All they care about is making money and not giving a single F about the customers. Gym equipment has been broken for 5 months now and nothing has been done .. broken locker rooms since I joined the gym. People let other come on all the time .. after 6pm no one is here so people do whatever they want .. kids running around throwing equipment.. smoking vapes inside .. call the 1800 number no one ever picks up .. message Facebook and no replies other then a bot that tells you to call the 1800 number .. they are lucky this is the only place in chestermere.. as soon as another gym opens up here in the new community.. this place will be over .. everyone here hates this place. We as customers pay to be here .. this isn't for free and we deserve better or matter fact we deserve a discount free 1 year membership to be in this dump. For putting up with poor management. Numerous customers have filed out the serves on email they send you and still nothing .. 8 months later.. You are better off working out at home! Save your money!

Expérience négative: 1 year update.... I worked out at this gym consistently for one year, and honestly I cant anymore. The gym lacks maintenance, the lockers are broken, there is only three washrooms that are shared for males and females... and they're disgusting.. not sure how even females put up with it. the gym overall smells terrible, the crowd that goes there is a bit questionable. after 6.. it becomes a day care... just kids on their phones, you got ego lifters breaking the machines, the music sucks... there's bad gyms and this. I wouldnt even pay 20 for this... let alone 60. do yourself a favor, and drive the extra 5km across the 201 for a better gym.

Expérience fantastique: Super clean, love the diversity, all ages welcome young and older 14++++. Great music always playing. I signed up knowing there were no fitness classes i wish there was, but happy with everything else.

Moved to an obvious area without a gym they refused to accept it and spent hrs harassing me for 3 months for $50 extra as their "cancelation policy". After i jumped through hoops to provide them acceptable "proof". Rental agreement wasn't enough...job acceptance letter not enough...just greedy and ignorant of the obvious fact I was moving to an area without their gym. NEVER GET A MEMBERSHIP OR THEY WILL HUNT YOU DOWN FOR A DOLLA.

Expérience négative: I just recently signed up for a 1yr contract with these guys...after less than 3 weeks of attending we had multiple repeating issues with another male member who was very strongly following and inappropriately watching my wife. After one of the instances where I came to the gym with her, still this other male member couldn't control himself. We immediately left to get away. We asked for help from the staff and the gym in how to resolve this and they told us they have gotten complaints of the guy from other members, but that there was nothing they could or would do, that we should just come at some other different times. They REFUSE to release me from my contract because I don't feel safe sending my wife there anymore. I have only been able to go to this gym for a small handfull of times, it feels like management doesn't care as long as they got your money. Beware! ⚠️

Expérience positive: Good equipment and clean. The gym has lots of equipment that is rarely utilized and doesn't have enough of the equipment that is commonly used (i.e, benches).

Expérience négative: Very poor pricing structure. Was quoted over $200 for minimum charge. No drop-in option available or multi-pack. I do not recommend using Anytime Fitness Gyms. There are better options available.

Expérience négative: This is not a TOP OF THE LINE location at all. This is a direct comparison to low budget gyms like planet fitness or fit4less. This location is literally the size of a medium sized basement of a house. You might get charged for Tanning and other services which this location doesnot have at all. The cheapest these guys have is a 2 YEAR CONTRACT with $19.99 biweekly. and if you choose no contract then you pay almost $35 biweekly and also have to purchase a non refundable key fob for $60. why don't i pay $11.99 biweekly at fit4less with absolutely No committment and free key access card. In addition, I get triple the amount of space and equipment such as treadmills and weights. Unlimited Tanning, Massage chairs, showers, hydro massage and access to all locations?

Expérience positive: I think it's a pretty good gym. However, there's a discrepancy on the website where you can get a free trial for one week. However, this gym does not follow that free trial for one week.

Expérience négative: I tried to call this branch to ask specific questions about the facility, but it's main number I got connected to. I was told curtly by the person who answered that I need to go to the branch, the branch couldn't help me over the phone, and the person didn't offer to take my name and get someone to call me so I asked if that was the only way, they said yes. That's really all I need to know about their customer service. Gyms can be awful and inflexible to deal with and I imagine they'd be frustrating during any contract so I'll drive into Calgary instead. That type of customer service in an economic crisis where people struggle to pay for basics, never mind extras like gym memberships, is mind boggling. You could do better.

Expérience négative: Been a member since 2014 , this gym has the worst customer service aswell as letting family members or just random people off the street in to steal your stuff. I had my wallet and keys stolen, they gave me the site2gym email and a phone number to call. I got the run around by both the owner and site 2 gym, and the monthly items they should be paying for like internet and tv and their workout subscription , security cameras never work , Good job guys at cutting cost. This gym won’t last out here with you treating people bad and ripping people off. Gold gym and world gym are only 10 more minutes away I will gladly take drive every day and not deal with these scum bags

The office is attended by a guy who is most friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. A wide variety of equipment as well. Reasonably priced, fair membership terms. Definitely one of the best gyms, all around!

Expérience négative: Quite possibly the worst customer service and worst policies I've ever experienced that are quite predatory and borderline scammy. To keep things short as it was an absolute nightmare dealing with this gym... I was offered a free period as I was a member before the pandemic had begun. Went to qet my key fob several times and no was there the times that someone was supposed to be. The free trial ended in the new year and I tried to cancel on Jan 6, 6 days past the timeline. Was told I owed fees which I was fine with as it was my fault I hadn't cancelled before the beginning of the year. Out of good faith I paid what I was told and I instructed them to cancel my membership. Come to find out my payment amount which I paid in full and was stated on the email sent had secretly covered some late payment fee meaning there was an excess of about 10 dollars. Many months later and them refusing to cancel my membership and my asking for a compromise from a manager that never called back, they sent many months 'outstanding' to collections. This after mind you, I have never even recieved my key fob or stepped foot into the gym. Worst experience ever. PS I also contacted BBB and they never recieved contact from them which is quite telling.

Expérience positive: Nice gym, has lots of space, lots of machine options (ladder) that you wouldn’t see in other Anytime fitness locations; which was cool. If you don’t mind no panels between tread mills or no towels; you would like this location.

Though it seems small, it has the perfect amount of traffic so that you don’t need to wait very long. I’ve been able to properly focus while working out. Amazing.

Expérience positive: Have been a member since 2013, it's on the smaller side however the various equipment is a positive, and with the ability to work out in other gyms is a nice bonus, Could use a little tlc however, showers are a little rough...some little things could be replaced in terms of equipment....overall you're there for a workout so you can definitely do that. I've reached out a couple of times regarding the improvements that could be made, never heard anything back, would've liked to have been heard on my suggestions, as when you think of a small town feel you’d feel like a gym would ultimately care about what its hometown members had to say, I stand corrected if maybe the owner never got my emails. Overall, room for improvement, I can't speak to the staff as I usually go at unstaffed hours, the interactions I've had with the manager has been good and he's a nice guy....if you live in Chestermere it's a nice option for a workout.

Expérience positive: Had bad experience in the past where i tried to cancel membership and got charged for another month and thought i wouldnt go back to the place again and had givn up on working out all together but got hurt last year and leg atrophied so wanted to rejoin for leg press machine and 6 month free membership brought me back to the anytime fitness

Expérience négative: Ridiculous services, went to cancel and was told to freeze it so I don’t have to pay sign up fees again. During the freeze was charged hundreds in club maintenance fees, when you call the phone number the reps don’t help at all and just keep saying the same repeated nonsense. Refused to help and charged me again whilst there’s a lockdown. Have never had such a horrible experience with any company.

Expérience négative: These guys are nothing more than glorified scam artists. Cancellation is nearly impossible as they just play verbal gymnastics with policy. Please take your business elsewhere you will be glad you did. There's a reason why they hide their ratings. Edit: since I can't respond I have to edit my post: Nice try with the "we're known for". What you're known for, as the rest of the reviews show, is being awful when it comes to conducting business in a moral and ethical way. Take your business elsewhere people you will be happy you did.

Had one last payment (cancellation payment) supposed to come out in March 2020 but they didn’t take the payment out . And haven’t charged me since so I assumed it was cancelled. But they are saying it’s inactive due to non payment and I owe money. But March fees were apparently waived due to closed gym. So my cancellation fee would be waived as well. If they wanted the payment they could have taken it. Now they want to get more money for the months since March . They are not getting anything out of me but the process is beyond frustrating. I do not recommend this gym impossible to get a hold of someone that will communicate properly! Hours on the phone all they want is money it’s as if your talking to a scammer and not a gym customer service rep

Just cancelled my membership after completing the maturity term and they still charged 58$ full month fees for it. Cancelling a membership is nightmare so please do not get yourself stuck with this facility or brand ! Horrible

Expérience positive: This has been a great gym if you are looking for basic training.. it does lack in specific equipment for strongman or hit training. Some of the equipment is getting worn out but if you find a time with a constant crowd of people going then it is pretty good.

Expérience négative: Predatory and exploitative contracts. No option but to choose auto-renewal beyond the agreed contract length. Still require 30 days notice to cancel even though contract term has passed and membership is month to month. Gave them 27 days notice to cancel they refused to cancel and charged an extra month. Terrible customer service impossible to contact a human being only automated responses. Not to mention, $60 a month for a small gym without enough equipment. Ludacris.

Expérience positive: There is a lot of equipment packed into a small space. Air humidity seems a bit high. Overall a decent gym, and 24 hour access is a huge plus. Avoid busy times as space is at a premium.

Expérience négative: Horrendous customer service. Management only cares about their money with no regard for customer concerns or issues. Be cautious when making any arrangements concerning your account with staff or you may end up paying for something that you never wanted in the first place. Double and triple check that the staff have completed their task correctly or you will end up pay for their mistake.

Expérience fantastique: Great place to workout. I travel a lot and a membership with Anytime allows me to use the gym, most everywhere I go.

Expérience positive: There are other places to work out in Chestermere but right now Anytime is the most convenient for people that don’t want to be tied down to a class or group fitness. I am pretty solitary and want to work out in peace. The gym right now is small, however it was noted on their site that they are building a new facility. I give this a lower rating based on size of the facility and issues with the air/heat in the winter. It got very humid in the winter and fans would have helped greatly. They should store the spin bikes in the group fitness room, there never seems to be anyone in there. Make things less squishy. It does provide towels, wi-fi, free lockers and a good combination of machines.
