I really enjoy the time and effort they’ve put into the upgrades, and cleanliness. I really enjoy seeing Reed (one of the staff members) she’s always so kind and welcoming, and it really starts/ends my workout on a positive level. 10/10

Expérience négative: The gym has been making a lot of improvements to the space which are great. It’s a small space and slightly awkward with having to exit one area to get to the other. It is starting to look much better and clients can see the thought going into that. However it still needs work. The staff need to be more knowledgeable about policies. I went to put my membership on hold for a couple of months since I had several trips planned, they said I would need to show proof of this. I found it invasive that they would expect me to show them tickets of where I was going and when. I even inquired as to if it was a medical issue and they said they would ask for a doctor’s note. Upon reading their contract it says if a member is putting a hold for more than three months they could (don’t have to) ask for documentation. So I just cancelled since my business obviously is of no value to them. The manager then called and was very nice, explained that unless I was under a contract I couldn’t hold my account at all but because of the confusions with the staff and the communication she would be willing to hold my membership. She was nice to deal with but honestly there have been so many issues with this gym I would rather drive into Kelowna at this point. Hopefully the new ownership can better educate their staff on policy so clients get the right information and clean the place up so it’s more user friendly. MEMBERSHIP FREEZE POLICY: If you have a term membership (i.e. 12-month, etc.) you may freeze your membership for a medical reason and/or travel reason. Freezes can be from 30 to 90 days at a time. We may ask for documentation to verify your situation for exceeding 90 days. This what is in the contract, the assistant manager who originally helped me didn’t notify me that I couldn’t technically hold my membership at all being off contract. And the manager stated herself she shouldn’t have asked me for that information. I did mention that I would be happy to leave a review because since joining two years ago I have made a few concerns knows to management regarding the filthy state of the gym, the bugs that were everywhere (dead and alive), the state of equipment, lack of communication about closures, etc. I never felt compelled to leave a review because I wanted them to be able to rectify the situation and move forward. But when dealing with the assistant manager that was so knowledgeable I decided I was very much done with dealing with this company. My original review seemed fair in my mind admitting to the strides taken by the gym but also outlining issues but the manager who I gave props to felt she needed to disclose that I couldn’t be pleased, when in reality I just can’t be bothered to deal with such a disorganized group of people.

Expérience négative: My daughter and I have been members at the Lake Country Anytime Fitness for over 2 years "NOT ANYMORE" we just canceled our memberships due to unfair business practices. My daughter took a guest in to introduce her to the gym as she did with me, and I have also done the same in the past. Without a warning they blocked her access for bringing in her guest to try the Gym. When confronted they convinced her to pay a $250 fine!! I thought this was quite extreme for an innocent mistake and that it would be worth talking to management about. So we both went into to the gym and spoke to the manager Paige, who seemed to agree that it was a lot of money considering there was no warning. She promised to look into it and get back to us... A week later and still no call back, so we called in again today and this time we were told by another employee that Paige said that they were not willing to do anything to address our concerns. It is hard to believe that the new owner is willing to lose two loyal customers to gain $250.00

Expérience négative: This gym has been purchased by a new owner who fired all staff and is holding people to fees they were paying towards coaching which he no longer is offering coaching since he fired everyone. He has very unfair business dealings with staff and members. I would go to another gym. He also owns the one one highway 97 so don't go there either.

Expérience fantastique: very friendly and great staff, only usually go in when spencer is working and he has never failed to always keep the place sanitary and customers looked after. if i’ve ever needed a little bit of help on a machine or with equipment spencer would take the time even if he’s busy cleaning and get me on the right path! they have more then enough equipment to have a good workout routine, so definitely atleast stop in for a drop in!

Expérience négative: This complaint was filed by another member and it got deleted by the owner. Good location and decent equipment. Although My experience hasn't been the best. Staff is very antisocial, soon as they set you up with a membership you're on your own. Never see any staff welcoming guests at the door, l've seen the job listing on indeed and that is one of the main duties. Seems to me whenever I've come to the gym all the staff are huddled into the one room chatting with each other for long periods of time. There's nothing wrong with that except the Kelowna anytime puts this anytime to shame with them welcoming members and keeping their gym tidy considering how much a bigger space it is. A better member program for the evolt machine would be getting a free scan with your monthly payment, the anytime in Kelowna has a similar machine that is out for all members to use. Upstairs is a whole new convo... there is only one bench and a few machines for cardio so it doesn't necessarily provide a good alternative when downstairs is busy. Many times downstairs is full when upstairs is barely being utilized.

Expérience positive: Traveling and there wasn't a clear indication as to when staff would be in and calls kept going thru to Voice Mail the number listed on the door). Should have voice mail and staff say when they are available so we don't waste our time (and Uber $$) to get there.

Expérience négative: Nice people inside the gym, members and staff, felt welcomed every time. Besides that, owners strive to get every dollar out of you with no regard. You will be charged for things that aren’t informed and not shown in their policy’s. The group running their financials are disorganized. Gave them my credit card info to charge for the monthly payments, only to find out they decided to charge me extra late fee’s with no refund or apology. Even though they have active direct billing info. Was also told misinformation when signing up, a deposit for a key fob is refunded when leaving the gym. That is not the case, nor did the $ go to monthly payments… They offer freeze accounts without informing you of extra fees. For a customer that’s been there over 3 years, you’d think they’d be a little more thorough and considerate. Two faced ownership setting rules that they don’t even follow themselves. Very disappointed. Never going back.

Expérience négative: The dirtiest Anytime Fitness I have visited. I’ve sent multiple emails and now no one cares to respond or even clean up the gross green slime in the showers or fix a broken toilet or clean the windows. It’s like the members are expected to clean for the owners.

They do not give complete information, when you hire they say that you can enter anytime at any 24 hours and I have just arrived in Victoria and we can only come within staff hours. Half information? I don't know but too bad!

Expérience fantastique: This a fantastic gym. Very clean and they just renovated…adding a functional training centre on the upper level of the gym. They have lots of equipment and a ton of space. I have not found myself waiting to use any of the equipment. The owner is a great guy, truly cares about health and well-being. Training staff and management are always present on the floor to answer any questions you may have. Personal training is affordable and very thorough. I love this place. Some gyms can be intimidating going in at the beginning. Not this one. The other members are great and very respectful and friendly. Thank you to Tanner, Krissy, Lindsay, Brett and Krista for all you do to help people with their fitness journeys.

Expérience négative: Overpriced. It's a small gym that crowds easily and lacks basics such as lockers or a decent music solution. The same 6 songs on repeat broken up by adverts for deezer premium every 10 minutes is nothing short of maddening. The covid regulations are fine and fair, but seem to be completely unpoliced, so, you know, follow or don't. As far as I can tell, they don't mind. All in all, worst gym I've been to, but it's kind of the only option in the immediate area (+1 star). If you have any alternatives, I would recommend you go with that alternative.
