Expérience fantastique: Great place for a workout with many cardio machines, locker facilities & good quality equipments. Sonia Lagare is my personal trainer and I appreciate her knowledge in fitness which enabled me improve and enjoy my workouts. Thanks Sonia & Fitness World for tailoring my workouts and keeping me Fit!!
Expérience fantastique: Best place for working out with professional trainers. I train with Chelsey. She is excellent, knowledgeable, encouraging and motivating! I would recommend this gym and Trainer Chelsey to anyone who is looking on making some positive changes in their body and their life!
Expérience négative: Now they're shut down with a positive covid case and WON'T tell members when that person was last in the gym so members can assess if they were in close contact or not. Instead they are asking ALL members to self monitor.
Expérience positive: Staff used to be friendlier. Staff is adamant that their other gym locations are closed not due to covid. I'm concerned with this location.
Expérience fantastique: Super professional. I find the gym is clean and since changing to Fitness World there has been noticeable improvements.
Expérience négative: Disgusting gym, staff are lazy they never clean the washrooms. They never leave the front desk, 3-4 staff members always at front desk and not once have I ever seen anyone clean equipment. Not impressed
Expérience fantastique: You would definitely trust the crew. They are full of knowledge and experience that can help you a lot.
Expérience positive: The equipment is good quality and the pricing seems fair for the quality. I’ve seen machines that break been replace fairly quickly and the people here are friendly I’ve never seen anyone steal another persons machine. The only problem I have is the crazy amount of people on their phones in between sets and basically taking up the machine for 30mins
Expérience négative: Scum bag scammer company. Haven't been a member for quite some time yet they are still taking money out of my bank account no real reason why. And they are reluctant to return the money. Poor communication. No return calls. Shocking business.
Expérience négative: The worst customer SERVICE EVER, you have to pay 50% of your fees even if you freeze your account because of COVID. THIS FOR EVERYONE WHO IS PLANNING TO JOIN THIS GYM THEY DON'T TELL YOU WHEN YOU SIGN UP.
Expérience fantastique: Love it!
Expérience fantastique: Just went in to cancel my membership
Expérience négative: They reopened without notifying me, without a single email or phone call, and keep charging my money :)
Expérience négative: Seems like cleaning protocol is not a priority.... covid waiting to happen
Expérience fantastique: Just want to thank the cleaning staff for doing a great job walking around and wiping down surfaces and equipments.
Expérience positive: Since the reopening of the gym, its been good so far. Most members are more conscious to wipe down the equipment before and after.
Expérience fantastique: I LOVED THIS GYM. BUT I GOT RIPPED OFF BY BUYING A MEMBERSHIP IN KELOWNA BEFORE THE GYM WAS ACTUALLY BUILT AND IT WAS GOOD FOR ALL LOCATIONS. WHEN I WAS IN LOWER MAINLAND YHE PEOPLE WORKING WOULD PRETTY MUCH EMBARASS ME EVERYTIME I CAME I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THE MEMBERSHIP IF IT WASNT FOR ALL GYMS. Great gym tho
Expérience positive: I have been going to this gym ever since they opened this location. Super close to my work with decent amount of machines. What I don't get are the negative comments about this gym as they are irrelevant. Complaints about re-playing the Canucks loss on TV or saying the gym has a dull atmosphere. If you want to watch hockey or go to a place with atmosphere, I would suggest a sports pub or a club/lounge, I am at a gym to workout.
Hi Toby! We appreciate your taking the time to drop us a line regarding your feedback and are happy to hear that you are enjoying your workouts at this location. Please feel free to connect with us at [email protected] should you have any concerns. Cheers!
Expérience négative: They were replaying last nights embarrassing Canucks loss in the morning on their TVs. Are they in the city of Vancouver or the city of Columbus? Super insensitive of them to not even be aware as to what they're putting on the TVs. Just goes to show how little they care. I don't think I'll be coming back again.
Expérience négative: Horrible gym , No room for exercise, stretching nothing ...
Expérience positive: I have been going here for about three months now. I enjoy some of the group classes, especially the class with Vanessa. Usually in group classes instructors do not correct bad movements which causesl pain and injuries, but Vanessa pays attention and offers really useful workout tips and makes me more motivated to go.
Hi Ma. Thank you for letting us know of your feedback and we are so happy to hear the facility and the classes are meeting your needs. We also appreciate your kind words about our Group Fitness Instructor Vanessa. A copy of your review has been forwarded to her manager. Cheers!
Expérience négative: Never again. I’ve been dealing with Steve Nash gyms for the past 7 years. Overcrowded, unkempt gyms full of people who have no respect for others using the facility. When cancelling the membership they continued to charge me for three months past the date I cancelled this was back in 2015.
Expérience négative: The service has been disgraceful for decades. Unfortunately I can't get the price anywhere else. At last weeks stretch class the instructor should of said that the class is not happening this week. I'm pretty sure she said the instructor was going to be here this week, on top of the fact that the class isn't on for the next 2 weeks anyways :(. It has caused me great Pain (Fibromyalgia) since I have been bullied for almost 3 months now and it continues. I like going to the class. My health (disease) and well being has deteriorated. No help.
Expérience négative: customers sitting on top of the lockers is quite disgusting and rude and yet they do it all the time ... suggest that you add more lockers, stacked up on the lockers already there so that will stop the rude people sitting on them
Good Afternoon. Thank you for providing your feedback. We have forwarded this to our management team for review.
Expérience négative: Horrible wifi. No room for stretching. Dull atmosphere.
Hi Boris. Steve Nash Fitness Clubs appreciates your taking the time to let us know of your observations. We will be forwarding this to upper management as well as our I.T Department regarding the wifi issues.
Expérience fantastique: The gym is safety & clean & convenient for shopping groceries.I love it
Expérience fantastique: Lots of parking
Expérience négative: So far, it’s not bad except cleaning for Woman’s locker room and bathroom , shower room floors so dirty and filthy since 2 yrs . I never seen anybody’s cleanings floors except equipments by cleaning lady 9am to 12 pm except weekend. I talked to reception several times still so dirty and filthy never been cleaned the floors.
Hi Yumi. We appreciate your feedback and for taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. Our office has forwarded the information to the location and the management team to address these issues. Thank you.
Expérience négative: Sunday, May 5th. 830am, 30 minutes after open time and no staff member to be found. About 20 people waiting outside. Not hard to show up on time and turn a key. Truly irresponsible and apparently not the first time such an event has occurred where no staff shows up to open. Not acceptable and the response from the owner/management to this review is too late. You will not do anything about this so don't bother forwarding to management. Good gym otherwise and not overly busy. Be more RESPONSIBLE and respect others time.
Hi Bill. We apologize for any inconvenience and frustrations this has caused. Please let us know the best way to connect with you at [email protected] as we would like to follow up regarding this issue. Thank you.
Expérience fantastique: This is the beat gym ever
Hi Arase. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you enjoy the facility!!
Expérience négative: I have been going to this location for more than a year and its staff seem to be there just to work and not provide customer service. I was working out using a machine and some random guy walked up to my machine, while I was resting and started using my machine, so I told him that I have a couple more sets. He literally used it and just didn't care, acting like the tough guy and staring at me wanting to start a fight. So I went to the front desk to tell them what happened as I didn't want to confront the guy cause its pointless. The front desk didn't even do anything or talk to the guy. Things like this should be taken seriously by the staff as this guy might be doing it to others and not say anything.
Hi Matt. Thank you for letting us know of your concerns and for providing this feedback. We have forwarded this to the management team to review with our staff members.
Expérience fantastique: Nice gym, clean, redesign opened up the space nicely. Can get busy at times, so if you come on the off hours there is virtually no wait for equipment.
Hi Paul. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience at our Lougheed Steve Nash Fitness World.
Expérience positive: New equipment. Love the early mornings at the gym. It's really quiet makes it easy to get into the workout frame of mind.
Thank you for the review Leena! We're glad you're enjoying your workouts. :)
Expérience négative: I saw a post on Facebook about a free 7 day pass, and a chance to win a free trip to Whistlers Scandinavian Spa, I signed up and Instantly got a call from Steve Nash lougheed. After not answering Mark, apparently the GM from this location text messaged me asking me when I want to come in, I replied " that's ok, I've already got a gym membership at good life, I misread the post in FB" and he says that's ok or whatever "let me know when you want to have a better life" seriously buddy? Lol your texting my phone without permission, to gain customers and then making insults and assumptions that I don't have a good life and then act like your playing around. Lol thumbs up Mark. Amazing marketing. You know what they say, one person will tell 10 people, those people will tell 10 people and so on. No wonder it has such low reviews. I will stick to my good life ;) you'll never see me in a Steve Nash after that kind of introduction. Thumbs down.
Hi Elya. Our apologies that you had such a poor experience. We do appreciate your letting us know of what took place and we will be following up with the District Manager of the facility. Please do not hesitate to connect with us at [email protected] if you have any other information to provide.
Expérience négative: Never been here but constantly bombarded with phone calls and emails. They seem to be offering half off deals for previous steve nash members... business Is definitley bad
Hi Samuel. We appreciate your feedback. Please connect with us at [email protected] to provide the contact information you are receiving these emails/calls to and we can have this removed for you. Thank you.
Expérience négative: I'm very annoyed with Steve nash service in downtown and now lougheed. I used the facilities in downtown and the women dress room was just horrible. I took a shower and I had to take another one at home. Cause the showers were full of towel on the floor. The floor was with nails. And it was awful ai feel more dirty. Now I try the other near to my home in loughee and i couldn't open the door. There wasn't anyone there in thee front desk. It was a women sitting in the sofa focus in her cell phone meanwhile I was trying to push and pull both door. What is wrong with you guys I'm paying a lot for a awful service.
Hi Margarita, I am sorry to hear about your experience at our clubs, that is definitely now how things should be. Please email your contact information to [email protected] attn:kate so I may follow up with you directly.
Expérience positive: Pros: The members are great, the gym is smaller so genuine friendships form, most of the staff are great, the group fitness instructors are amazing, the location is convenient, and the equipment is in good shape. Cons: They have started this G12 program which takes up a significant amount of space of the gym. All of the existing equipment was moved (crammed into a much smaller space) to make accommodations for this program, to which there are very few participants (i.e. usually 1 person). This seems like a huge waste of space for nothing except for inconveniencing the existing members. The G12 instructor blares music out of a boombox to the point of not being able to hear your own music or programs in your headphones. The music being played is awful, consisting of whiny non-talented auto tune stars that would only interest the under 25 crowd. Mixed with the music that is being pumped throughout the gym speakers makes for a horrible experience. Under no circumstance should members have to be subjected this obnoxiousness. This music should be in a separate room, with closed doors. The new layout of the equipment means that people are literally within arms reach of each other. Members and trainers are weaving between the awkwardly placed machines, even when people are using the equipment, which is both rude and hazardous for both. The personal trainers (this mostly pertains to the newer, younger trainers, NOT the experienced trainers such as Amy, Adrian, David, ) have some bad habits such as coming into the group fitness room while exercise classes are occurring which is disruptive to the class. This just snowballs into setting a trend that this behavior is acceptable in the gym which prompts newer members to follow suit. They need to plan their training sessions properly and have the equipment they need ahead of time. The fitness room doors need locks to prevent people from entering while a class is in progress or some sort of signage indicating to not enter while class is in progress. Also, in the G12/personal training area (which is directly in between the universal gym and the fitness room), it’s hard to navigate to access either area as you have to avoid these obstacles the G12 program and fitness trainers have put out. Somebody is going to get hurt because of this. Finally, the newer personal trainers have to know that they are representing the gym and should do so in a professional manner. They cannot be eating McDonald’s out in the open training area (many people at the gym are trying to lose weight), play wrestle with each other, or be loud and obnoxious. Before committing to personal training sessions, observe the different styles and skills of trainers. Some appear to be more skilled and knowledgeable than others. Invest wisely in your health so that you continue to come back and not get injured.
Thank you for your candid review, I will make sure the feedback gets in front of the the right people. We are working hard to change your perception and hope you refer people to us again in the near future.
Expérience fantastique: It's the most organized and the cleanest Steve Nash branch I have ever been.
Expérience négative: Staff are pushy and aggressive. Alright selection of equipment
Hi Ryan. Thanks for the feedback. Our apologies for any frustrations regarding the staff membership presentation. This will be forwarded to our management team to review. Cheers!
Expérience négative: Definitely never going back again. Ever.
Sorry to hear you had a poor experience, we would like to hear about it. Please call 604-288-4551 or email [email protected]
Expérience fantastique: My favorite Steve Nash location Lost couples pounds there!
Expérience négative: Bad customer service!! They are only after your money! I heard they are known for that, but I would never thought that I would experience this. When I signed up for the contract, the salesperson distracted me, explaining nice factors about the gym but didn't inform me of 30 days notice even though my one year contract is over. In fact, the salesperson didn't even send the agreement to me when he said he will!! What a scam. When I contacted Steve Nash HQ, the person I spoke with, which I found out that she was the supervisor, just hung up on me while I am still talking, saying "you have a great day, Sujin". If the supervisor at HQ provides this kind of customer service, that pretty much says everything about the gym. TERRIBLE. I would never recommend Steve Nash to anybody!!!
Hi Sujin. We apologize for any confusion regarding the cancellation of your membership. Thirty days notice is required for any cancellation request and is noted on the membership agreement as well as the cancellation request that you had signed at the club. Should you have any questions please feel free to connect via email at [email protected]
Expérience négative: I have had to remove 2 stars, The place is not as clean as it used to be. It can really get smelly . The washrooms usually run out of paper towel about 2 hours before closing for example. There is chalk and wieghts everywhere when you come early or at open. You would think they would clean up before going home the night before. The washrooms and showers are smelly from the day before . I think they must have cut back on the cleaners hours or visits. The Staff and personnel are nice and helpful. Cant make an all bad review.
Expérience fantastique: Mark the General Manager is a great guy to help you get started.
Hi William. Thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated.
Expérience fantastique: Great place to workout.
Hi Virgil. We are glad to hear you are enjoying your time at our location! Cheers
Expérience fantastique: I just had my first personal training session with Angie. And I am BEYOND impressed. She was so compassionate to my struggles with health and fitness and she was so understanding. We connected so well. She was very realistic, and knowledgeable about every question I had. She didn't push sales or anything. I haven't had a good experience with a gym in a very long time and now I have which makes me ever more motivated to go. Thank you Angie!!!
Hi Krista! Thank you for your kind words and for letting us know how much you have been enjoying your time with Angie. This feedback has been forwarded to her manager as well. Cheers!
Expérience fantastique: Great service
Hi Ronald. Thank you for your post. Cheers!!
Expérience positive: I have been going here for a few weeks now, its a fine gym. Though you kinda get the feeling that there are too many people and not enough equipment to go around. Overall still a pretty good gym though.
Hi Leonard. Thank you for your post. Steve Nash Fitness Clubs is always interested in hearing from our members and guests as this helps us to make improvements within our organization. If you ever need to reach us do not hesitate to contact us via email at [email protected]
Expérience négative: If you need to do a proper leg workout, absolutely do not go to this location. 1 free standing squat rack is not only laughable, but unacceptable for a proper gym.
Good Afternoon. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We will forward this to our management team of the location for review.
Expérience fantastique: Say what you will about their dues, but I've not had a problem with their billing department in the five years I've been a member. Recently, they've had some issues with late opens in the morning (which really sucks when we get up at 5am). But as soon as I brought the issue up with their HO and GM, they immediately rectified the situation by calling me and others who voiced their concerns, explained to us the solution they've come up with, and did a rehire to ensure it wouldn't happen again. On top of that, they held a member appreciation breakfast for a whole week for all the early gym goers. Sometimes it's easy for good team to go unnoticed in a big company, but this team here at lougheed went over and above the expectations of a $30/month membership, and made me a fan.
Hi Andrew, Thank you for the great feedback! We have also passed your message on to the club.
Expérience négative: Only has 1 power/squat rack which is extremely inconvenient in such a high traffic gym. The gym has terrible space management, too many treadmills and machines that no one uses. No space to do deadlifts, Olympic lifts or stretch.
Hi Miki, Thanks for your candid feedback, we have passed it onto your club manager for review.
Expérience négative: They have very bad customer service, just wanted to take my money. They tried to charge me extra and when I refused to pay this extra fee a guy named Miguel threatened me and said that they will “send a debt collector” to get it out of me.
Hi Shahar. We appreciate your feedback and would like to speak to you regarding this situation and gather more information to forward to our management team. Please let us know the best way to reach you at [email protected]
Expérience négative: When provide contract to me,never tell me i need to pay enhancement fee. but charge me later without.any noticement. and the dealer that provide contract to me is their manager VICTOR. to be honest, they need to be honest and frank
Good Morning. We appreciate your feedback and will have this followed up with the General Manager of the facility. Thank you.
Expérience négative: Definitely a old person's gym. If you actually lift wouldn't recommend
Expérience positive: Good equipment but coaches are not so good)) they are more about selling products not coaching
Hi Maria. Thank you for letting us know of your experience at the location. Please let us know the best way to contact you at [email protected] as we would like to gather more information regarding this issue.
Expérience négative: Clean facility but that's about it. Lack of equipment. Not enough barbell and free wieghts and only one squat rack for the entire gym and it's usually used by people that curl on a squat rack. Staff attitude is unfriendly at best. They are too busy on their phones or gossiping with one another. Not even a hello at the front desk. They just point the scanner at you as they surf on their phones. Trainers are horrible too. Watching them from a distance, they lack the basic knowledge of proper form for a basic movement. This is with most trainers there but I notice this most with a trainer named Grant. Not paying attention and just going through the motions and not even correcting bad form/movements. Just pumping them through to get the hour done. Just his general tone and facial expression when instructing was very piss poor and uncaring for paying clients.
Hi David. Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your concerns. We appreciate this feedback as it helps us regarding making improvements. A manager from our team would like the chance to speak to you regarding these issues and ask that you provide us with your preferred method of contact to [email protected]
Expérience positive: Good gym to workout in, machines are decently maintained, change rooms are clean, the free weight section would be better if it was a little bigger, lots of parking as you use mall parking. The reasons its 4 stars is that 90 percent of the front desk staff do not even say hello, they look tired or miserable, when you leave they are usually busy talking with other staff members and do not acknowledge you. I have even said hello and bye and was totally ignored. Other than that it's a good place to workout.
Expérience fantastique: I love working out here. Really fun and challenging classes to spice up the regular routine
Expérience positive: If u are ok with self directed work outs without helpful staff this gym is for u.
Expérience fantastique: Nice gym. Lots of new equipment. Clean. Nice staff
Expérience fantastique: Very nice staff. The gym is always thoroughly clean! A very nice gym.
Expérience négative: not good enough value for the prize, will cancel membership
Expérience positive: Great location being at the mall. Typical GloboGym crowd with too many people on Mondays. Not a lot of massive guys compared to Golds etc so more middle of the road peeps. Wish they had more bumper plates for when you need to drop your heavy barbell. Miss that aspect of CrossFit for sure.
Expérience négative: Overcrowded and not enough equipment for the price. Customer service sucks I’ve been a member for 2 years and they still call me to join even after I told them. Childminders are great the only reason I’m still here, but they need more help on weekends, but they flat out refuse to bring in another person. Always trying to get me to download some app and refusing to give me a new key fob I’m just waiting till my membership is up and I’m outta here. Would not recommend this gym it’s one issue after another.
Hi Lexi. Thank you for letting us know of your concerns as this feedback is important to us. We would like the chance to reach out to you and gather more information regarding these issues. Please provide us with your preferred method of contact to [email protected] and a member of our service team will connect with you.
Expérience négative: I dedicate my time and focus strictly to my workout and been a member at this facility for about 2 years my biggest problem is that lot of member wasting time in socializing either gathering in groups by their nationality and monopolizing equipment that is inaccessible to other users and there are the cellphone junkies who prefer to text and facebook browsing instead using the equipment for workout so i am looking for a serious gym instead of wasting my waiting for other to finish their social indulgence
Expérience négative: Group Fitness room issues - It’s a great clean gym with nice staff and good equipment, however, with so many new members and new trainers, it’s getting a bit ridiculous regarding the group fitness room and lack of courtesy that has developed. Participants are arriving half way through class, which is not only disrespectful to the teacher, but more importantly, they are, missing the warm-up and causing not only danger to their own bodies, but dangerous distractions to the other group fitness participants, who could in turn injure themselves by the interruption. No matter how unintrusive these people think they are being, it never is like that (in reality it’s more like a drunk teen trying to sneak in the house at night). There are a lot of new staff at the front desk and they have been giving out tickets for classes that have already well begun, which further exacerbates the issue. People (both members and trainers) from the gym regularly come in during classes to get mats and free weights, or to stretch which further cause distractions. On one occasion this past week, a man sat on the floor for almost an entire class facing the girl’s butts, which was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Simply put, the doors should be locked to prevent people from entering late and signage displayed (i.e. on metal stand in front of door) indicating that there is a class in progress and that entry is not allowed. There used to be tiny signs that were not that visible, but they seem to have disappeared. Instructors need to be more diligent about not allowing participants to join the class after the warm up has passed by (some are good at this, others not so much). The front desk should not be allowing these late admissions by handing out tickets. Members and trainers need to be made aware of to be more respectful and stay out of the room when a class is in progress. Finally, management needs to be monitoring the situation so to protect the gym from unnecessary member injuries and potential lawsuits. Other gyms are better at curbing this practice, but somewhere along the line, this location has not succeeded in this area.
Good Evening. Thank you for taking the time to bring these concerns to our attention your feedback is appreciated. We apologize for any frustrations that have arose during your fitness classes. One of our Member Service Reps. would like to speak to you regarding these situations further and gather more information. Please provide us with your preferred method of contact to [email protected] and we will be in touch.
Expérience négative: cancelled my membership here and the guy at frontdesk told me i would not be charged with anything for the following month. then i receive phone calls and emails from steve nash saying my account is overdue. very bad experience.
Hi Yuki, we're so sorry for any confusion on your account. So we can best address your concerns please email your account number or contact info to [email protected] and a representative from our Service Team will connect with you, thank you!
Expérience positive: I like it.
Expérience fantastique: After dealing with gyms my whole life I was expecting the worst when things went sideways with SN... BUT Quick recap: I signed up during summer and was promised an amazing deal. Flash fwd to now and “there's no record of that deal promised and the people who set it up aren't here any longer...” WHAT?! We've all been here before right? Get it in writing always right? So rather than the usual denials and obstructions that most companies do, both the Sales Manager (Victor) and the new Operations Manager (Julia) went to work on making it right. It took a bit of time but they came through. This location is set up well. It has staff that care and it shows in the way they stepped up and took things through to the end. I can't say enough good things about the way they resolved my matter. And quite frankly who wants to work out in an environment with bad energy anyhow? Consider giving this location a shot, the staff make it a worth while place to spend your hard earned money. People are great, vibe is awesome and the equipment is top notch.
Good Morning! Thank you for taking the time to share your story and the kind words, this is greatly appreciated.
Expérience négative: Do not join the membership here. After you join they should've give you paper of agreement. I didn't get anything. You should be make sure about your agreement. I tried to cancel membership but untrain staff told me after one year the membership will be automatically cancelled but IT WAS NOT!!!!! I paid another TWO MORE!!! I was so upset and called head office and said that I need money back. But they didn't do nothing. Service is really TERRIBLE. Choose and find the other fitness center. Do NOT join here!
Hi Sujin. We appreciate your taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. A member of our team would like to contact you to discuss this situation further. Please provide your preferred method of contact to [email protected]
Expérience négative: Been a member since they opened doors. The hours are brutal. Was closing at midnight now at 11pm on weeknights and 10pm on Fridays. Weekends is gotta be the worst as many people are up early, can’t wait till 8am to start my workout otherwise stay open late and not shutdown by 8pm. Management if there is one since Ali left needs to address this and staff conduct. You have a bunch of young people working the front desk, first people a customer sees and they can’t even break a smile or say hello. Two of the staff are dating and quite evident in the evenings, sorry that a lawsuit waiting to happen at workplace that tolerates this. This gym has no rules, people workout in their tanks, don’t wipe down any equipment and it seems to be okay with management. There are over 8 personal trainers, you would think some would walk the floor offering new patrons starting to workout tips and proper use of machines, nothing! Many weights don’t get put away where they belong. Biggest ask would be better hours 5am-12am weekdays and 6am-10pm weekends. Oh and if the Gym is going to reply with your standard reply, look up my account and call me on my phone number on file - I’ve escalated my concerns 3x so I’m not going to be reaching out again.
Hi Mithun. Thank you for taking the time to bring these concerns to our attention. A member of our team would like to reach out to you to discuss further. Please provide your preferred method of contact to [email protected]
Expérience négative: So terrible service!! I just sign one year construction but it still take my money from credit card two years. I never received the bill or receipt. The club also never connected me. That means I loss more thousands dollars. Don’t go to this club!!b
Good Afternoon. Our apologies for any frustrations regarding your membership. We would like to connect with you to discuss your concerns further. Please provide us with your preferred method of contact at [email protected]
Expérience négative: Too bad their customer service department can't be bothered to call you back on issues. Don't bother replying to their automated message they post at the bottom of negative reviews. They have no interest in trying to reach you in a way convenient for you, but they will call you several times to try to sell you training packages ! We are members here currently because of a one year membership we mistakenly signed up for. While we like working out, we are disappointed with the quality of the gym. We were initially given a free session with a trainer, and my partner decided to purchase a three training package with a trainer. The gym didn't want to honour their word on this promise. The trainer pushed him to book all his training sessions in a short period before he was ready to. He recently tried to rebook the third session due to midterms and the trainer and gym wouldn't let him rebook, so he paid for 3 sessions but only received two. They claimed that he had his three as they provided his first session, which was supposed to be a benefit for signing up. The personal trainers, while helpful, are pushy sales people, only interested in selling expensive training packages. The cost: originally we were told that the whole package would cost us a particular amount, a "student" rate. However, the cost is actually 10$ more per month, and the management doesn't seem to want to try to do more. The facilities: Most patrons don't wipe down the equipment, so the machines are pretty gross, including the weight area. I don't think they are really ever cleaned, as you can see water drips and dirt from use. The gym doesn't provide towel service, and the sanitizing solution is bottles of spray randomly placed with some paper towels. The gym also has limited hours, and closes early on weekends. Some group classes are extra cost on top of the memberships, and about half of the treadmills don't work properly/functions are broken. Very often machines are out of service for various reasons. The 5lb dumb bells in the weight area have been missing for months and the weighs are always a mess around the machines. We were also promised free t shirts and water bottles, which we didn't recieve.. Very disappointed with our experience, and will not promote this brand/gym to anyone. We will not be renewing/ will be seeking a new facility. Update: I have provided my information to this company for a resolution. After returning their phone call and requesting them to email me, I still have yet to recieve a reply.. illustrating their lack of concern for problems We went to the gym yesterday, and it was over crowded.

Expérience négative: I recently just signed up on sept.6 and was told my full total for the whole year would be $314. I paid upfront. Then I check my credit card statement and noticed a charge for $105. I called in to ask what that was for, and they reply it was a recurring charge. I told them I paid upfront what the guy had quoted me for the year. Dont sign anything with this company. They lie and charge you sneakinly. I will be pursuing a fraudulent claim with my bank as they charged my credit card without my permission. Never will i recommend this gym to anyone. Don't give your credit card information. I am cancelling and will be getting my full refund back!!!

Expérience positive: Its new and fairly spacious. The free weights section seems a bit disproportionately smaller compared to other SN gyms. There is no towel service (which I suppose is fine -- I'm spoiled) but last time I went they had completely run out of paper towels. I found that disappointing and unfortunate since there was literally nothing but toilet paper to wipe down equipment. The change rooms are decent and there is childcare should you need it.
Expérience négative: scum place try to rip you off

Expérience négative: I dont like writing review unless it either fantastic or just awful. I don't think they even deserve a 1 star because its a scam. I was offered a promotion for 10 days with steve nash so I went and spoke to one of the reps. He told me i had to put down $20 for me to use the trial. I took my boyfriend who was a platinum member and he said it was strange how they ask me to put down money for trials (downtown location dont ask you for the money) but since they said i will get it back if i decide not to sign up for membership, so i gave them my credit card number. when i got back home, they called me up because their system wasn't working they need my card number again so i gave it to them. next day, they messaged me saying it didn't go through AGAIN. I didn't feel comfortable giving them my credit card number three times in a row. I visited them the next day and gave them $20 cash as a deposit. (I did not sign any form nor gave consent to anything). After 10 days i decided to not to join steve nash because i didn't think i had the time to go. I went and asked for my deposit back. the rep seemed annoyed with my decision. He kept talking about how i won't be able to have this promo. He then made me sign a cancellation form and walked away without letting me know how the process of the refund will be. I had to step into his office to ask him how I was going to get my deposit back;which he said i will get it via mail in 10 days. So over the weekend, i was looking at my bank statement. I saw that I was charged for $19.19 and once more for the $43.19. I did not give any consent to the rep or sign any papers at the time so i was confused why they had charged me. I went on Saturday to ask them what was going on. Another rep came and explained that they "ASSUMED" that i'll be joining the membership so they had charged me (this was after i decided not to sign up for membership and had cancellation form in my hands) After reading the review from google for this location, i guess i wasn't the only one who was charged mutiple times. IF you are wanting to join this location, please double check your statement but overall, its a SCAM. I DO NOT recommend steve nash at all.

Expérience positive: The girl at the front desk is so friendly!!Love it
Expérience positive: Great location, lots of parking, can get crowded at times
Expérience positive: I enjoy coming here primarily for the classes. As for the workout space, it's pretty cramped but there is everything you need. There is not much free floor space to use the weights but if you are creative you can figure it out (I did). Not many workout benches. There are lots of machines available. The staff are friendly to me and have never shown me attitude. It's probably because I'm always smiling and say hi. The only items I buy are the sports wear and that's if it's on clearance. As for dot fit, I can't say much. If you come before the mall opens, you need to use the entrance outside of the mall. After opening hours the entrance is accessible through the mall.
Expérience négative: The gym at the lougheed center is pretty much bad, there customer service is zero, I witnessed a situation where by the managers and a worker were all shouting and embarrassing a member just because they thought he was using someone else's pass..they should have approached him in a different way but I guess they aren't trained or professionals..this gym needs good personal trainers too
Expérience négative: DO NOT SIGN UP WITH STEVE NASH... They are a bunch of thieves and frauds who will continue to try to extort money out of you for months after you cancel your membership. I have been told by 2 of their "managers" over the phone that everything has been cleared and that I will not hear from them again, and yet I constantly receive harassing calls from their incompetent and deceiving staff telling me that I owe them money. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this gym as you can. And don't be fooled by the comments from their "managers" beneath the comments pretending to care. They do not care, and look at how AWFUL their reviews are on ALL of the sites out there: Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.

Expérience négative: Lifted at Steve Nash lougheed mall for 3 months and these are the issues I came across 1. Not enough benches in change room. 2. Trainers look like they need personal trainers and demonstrate incorrect form. 3. 15+ employees working at all times and not one cleans up weights. 4. 1 squat rack for the entire gym 5. Nowhere to deadlift 6. No barbell shoulder press 7. Terrible atmosphere 8. Hidden charges they do not tell you about, DO NOT GIVE THEME YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION After cancelled membership was still charged equipment fee.

Expérience négative: Overall it’s a decent gym, newer equipment but a horrible layout. Recently the equipment had all been moved seemingly to accommodate their new g12 program (will get into this later). It’s hard to navigate the gym now with the equipment being crammed together. It used to flow very well....not anymore. Seems that the whole attitude of the gym has changed with the new GM. Victor was great GM always walking the floor and chatting with the members. At the very least, it has become very entertaining to people watch under the new regime. Few months back I even saw 4 people together eating dinner at personal trainer massage table! The staff were just looking at them while the gym filled with the stench of their dinner. Anyways, the new G12 program has been so disappointing and disruptive to the rest of the gym. They lay out a course that takes up the entire centre of the gym, making people have to try to navigate the already crammed gym. They blast teenybopper tunes and push out members in the area currently using equipment. Last night at the 5pm g12 class I watched the instructor ask 2 ppl using equipment to leave because this was to be used by g12 members only at that time. These where new members who were confused and reluctantly left the area. I saw this trainer ask several people to stop using the universal gym equipment over an 40 min time frame at rush hour. I also saw a woman become noticeably upset at this trainer for such request while currently working her set. I’m appalled by this trainer running this program and her poor attitude towards anyone outside the g12 program. Although entertaining to allot of us long time members ,this should be moved into the classroom and run as a regular class. It has always had low participation (1-2 members) and for the disruption and redesign of the layout, is in my opinion, a failed venture.
Expérience négative: You better check your bank account . They might proceed transaction three times .

Expérience négative: I joined this location Feb 2016 as I wanted to hire a personal trainer because I was told I had to be a member to hire a personal trainer. I was also told I could cancel the membership after the personal training session finished as long as I gave them one month notice in advance. I finished the session earlier Jun and phoned the accounting department in September to cancel the membership. Surprisingly I was told that I could not cancel it as I signed an one year agreement and the one month notice cancelation policy only applied when people moved. I called the "General Manager" (as she told me) who sold the membership to me. She was very pleasant and kept contacting me before I signed the contract, but she turned to very cold. She denied she ever told me the membership is cancelable. I questioned how I would have had the "one month notice in advance" in my mind if she hadn't said anything. She told me I should have read the whole contract (which is 9 pages with lots tiny prints, hehe... ) before I signed it, which I totally agree with her. What she might forget to tell me is that I should haven't trusted people working here. Plus my leg got bad scraped during a training session but no first aids no any advice and no nothing. It infected and I had to stop the train for several weeks. They knew what happened but I never received even a call to show their apology. Now I have a ugly dark 1*8 cm scar right front of my leg. First time in my lif to post complaim on the web. I gave them 1 star because I cannot give 0.

Expérience négative: Here are my bullet issues: -Too much equipment in a small area + members = nowhere near enough space to accomodate both (Fire code violation has crossed my mind at times) - Free weight area is a mess; members often do not put their weights away (Not company problem) and no hourly walk through by employees to clean up after lazy members (Company problem) -Trainers contribute to bullet 2 above; If employees don't respect the work area, how can members? - (Biggest issue) Yearly fee of 40 USD was charged just over 90 days into my membership; cancellation documentation states it will take 30 days to process in which they charge you 2 more times for (in my case) bi-monthly fee (21 USD). In a matter of 3 months I have paid 60 (Initial Fee)+60 (3 months)+ 20 (30 day process of cancel) + 40 (Yearly fee to members) = $180 USD. I pay less in the US for a full Health club (Towel service, smoothie bar, classes, triple the space, quadruple the free weight investment, kids care, pool, etc.). With all these issues coupled with cost, where are my payments going to tackle these issues? Normal club operation does not constitute the cost especially with the extra fees. I recommend shopping elsewhere for a better experience

Expérience négative: Only go here when they give a $35 per month membership. I just started getting charged for $52. Cancelled my membership now.
Expérience positive: If you are just going to the gym to use the machines and weights (not the classes), then I prefer this Steve Nash location over the Brentwood one. There is a ton of parking here at the mall and it is easy to find. If you go at night, there is no trouble at all but in the day time, you may have some shopping traffic. There aren't very many people at this particular location and it is easy to enjoy a quiet "me" time for your gym session. There are showers, but compared to Brentwood, it doesn't have the shampoo/conditioner and soap, just bring your own!
Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback Shirley, and good to hear you can lock down some quality "me" time in the club! Enjoy your workouts! -SNFC Member Experience Team
Expérience négative: Worst gym ever. high on pre workout and with the new layout sucks. Makes me want to puke.
Hi Kevin. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the changes that are being made at the location. New equipment is being added and space is required for our upcoming changes. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feedback.
Expérience positive: Average fitness place
Expérience positive: Signed up because of the awesome rate and 4 squat racks but they tricked me...there is only 1 free weight squat rack! Personal trainers are uninspiring particularly the overweight female trainers. Very tanned trainer gives out unprofessional remarks about members minding their own business.
Expérience négative: I joined steve nash in April and during my first appointment they started pushing me to buy two discounted personal sessions at $200 (approx). I wasn't convinced so the guy asked me to buy and return it later anytime. He offered me one free personal training session. I didn't feel like its for me so I went back to return and guess what?? they said I have passed my time limit to return???!!! what time limit? no one told me. long story short, I send emails, and made calls but never heard back from them. No one is willing to help or provide me with a refund. They are nice as long as you are spending money but when you want a refund then they turn their backs on you. Very poor customer service This gym has no special services as compared to other gym. all equipment is same. so why pay double the charges??? I cancel the subscription and I am never going back
Expérience positive: Nice gym, great atmosphere, just be careful using their lockers. I got broken into and lost $600 worth of valuables and cash. I think it's sad they don't warn their members as it has happened a few times since their grand openings. In fact they try to hide it by saying it only happened a couple of times, but every time I ask they change the last time it happened therefore I know their lying. Besides the thieves the gym is fine.
Expérience négative: went there for their opening celebration today. as far as the gym itself goes it had lots of equipment and seemed pretty clean. really noisy and cramped though with too much gear for the floor space. mostly machines and not lots of free weight equipment. that wasnt the bad part for me though. the attitude of the people managing this facility is unfortunate. they had a bunch of food in the back. staff and i watched in disbelief as a manager threw a monster plateful of bagels, muffins and other pastries into the garbage. im talking like a 2 foot diameter plate stacked up many layers with food. this is in one of the poorest areas with the most homeless and disabled in the tri-cities. her staff literally had to stop her from throwing away another massive plate of fresh fruit. then i watched as she completely stiffed a pizza delivery driver on a near $200 order. whooo celebration! would never consider paying monthly because of the business and loud music but mostly because of the unsettling attitude of the people in charge. it will probably do well in the mall regardless but i don't want to give money to people who are clearly either conceited or out of touch with basic social behaviours. smh
Expérience fantastique: Great new location. Awesome new cardiovascular and weight training equipment. Great new location being connected to Lougheed Town Centre.
Expérience positive: I almost never post reviews but felt that I wanted to because, from my experience, this is a good gym. I've never experienced the often referenced "hidden fees". The staff is almost always pleasant, we've all had bad days so I can allow a chilly reception once in a while. I've worked with three personal trainers and all of them have been enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and supportive.
