Expérience positive: It's a fun experience, I've been going occasionally since I was but a young lad, and I've been going more lately. They have classes and such, they have plenty of climbing & bouldering walls, even going horizontal! Totally enjoyable experience if you've got the strength & ability to withstand the cramped shoes lol.

Expérience positive: Simple, small, excellent staff. Good for a quick climb. Note that this gym is old, and it shows.

Expérience fantastique: I have been climbing off and on at Project Climbing since 2019 and have always had an absolute blast doing so! The staff is always very welcoming and truly makes for a great community no matter where you are in your climbing journey. There is plenty of diverse climbs for all levels and I have never felt bored or disappointed with my experience here. Keep up the amazing work!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been climbing at this gym for 3 years and it’s by far the most unique bouldering gym in the Fraser Valley. What it lacks in more modern upgrades (keep in mind, it is the original project climbing centre location) it makes up for in stride with a tight knit community and a wide array of types of climbing; with two caves, an overhead lead climbing roof, top roping and burly bouldering that’s sure to make you feel rewarded when you top them or leave you wanting to come back for the send. When I go to a new gym I look forward to new exciting climbs but also being able to make a connection with the local climbers and you’re sure to at the project climbing centre Abbotsford location.

Expérience positive: Was here with my daughter - her introductory day. Staff was informative and understanding. Place is good and well managed - i strongly recommend this climbing gym for more and more youth to join and learn. Note for Owners/Organizers: If possible, do consider about brining cost factor affordable as many parents may feel difficulty while keeping wish in their hearts for their children. 2. If possible, using social media or direct contact with schools, colleges and universities ...if more and more students , youth could know and male use of facility. It was a great experience - I wish more and more people could join you.

Expérience négative: My husband and I, along with our four children, went to project climbing center for the first time today. When we got there, our kids saw friends that they knew and wanted to climb beside them. As I was getting my gear on, Randy rudely said "Don't ever come here again with 7 children without a group booking". It caught me off guard as we didn't arrive with 7 children. The other family had been there for an hour before we got there and then left while we stayed much longer (our time overlapped for an hour). Randy was extremely rude and it ruined what was supposed to be a fun family experience. I have never experienced such terrible customer service.

Expérience positive: Nice little spot in Abbotsford. Good value, and Welcoming staff. How ever it would be nice if they had a team dedicated to training beginners. The nice lady training us had to keep going to the front counter to welcome more guests. Would be nice if you could bring a bottle of water with you while climbing too.

Expérience fantastique: Really well thought out gym, has a very nice range of routes that make it good for a beginner or advanced climber. The staff are very professional and nice, and are there to assure you have a great time. They aren't too expensive, either, at least compared to Alberta gyms. Highly recommend!

Expérience négative: Not very kid friendly. We felt like our kids were constantly watched and spoken to. No they were not misbehaving or obnoxious. In our orientation speech things were missed and such us chalk bags and harness fees. Seems to be catered more to adults. Washroom were not well kept and did not have supplies. We will definitely not be back.

Expérience négative: I came in the staff were friendly. And then they asked me to sign out waivers and we went over the costs I was really excited and then they told me I could only climb the boulder wall unless I had a partner. Not only is this not conducive to someone with neck injury, it is not what I would pay $30 session for. Disappointment does not even start to express my feelings about this place. If they had staff on that could do the belay ing it might be a business worth visiting. I was contacted by I think the owner whom chastised me for the one star because they did not live up to my expectations. He felt one star was unfair, to which I agree, zero stars is not an option.

Expérience fantastique: Took our 10 year old and six of his friends for his birthday party. Everyone had a great time and the staff were really helpful and good with the kids. It worked out well and the pricing was fair for two hours of climbing.

Expérience positive: Lots of great staff and friendly service. The gym is small and intimate. I love how people are welcoming and there is ample parking. I do have a suggestion to make and I'm hoping the owner reads this or this message reaches them: - take care of the ventilation problem that has been persistent for years - everyone complains about it and it's driving some of your customers away - it's a simple audit of your facility and installing some vents throughout, a few thousand investment that will definitely pay itself overtime Otherwise it's fantastic.

Expérience fantastique: New climbs consistently put up. Always a fun atmosphere!

Expérience négative: Inaccessible. Unwelcoming. Condescending. All of the beginner levels are way too difficult. You will be crowded out by other climbers. Nowhere for beginners to start or learn. I spent $23 to look at a wall trying to find where to start learning this. Left after 20 mins. There needs to be a way to introduce new people to the gym. And maybe don't condescend to female customers who are trying to give you their money. If you want to try getting into rock climbing, go somewhere else. If you're not already an intermediate climber, don't go here. Waste of time and money.

Expérience fantastique: Always a lot of fun , definitely challenging but worth it. The complex movement is a great exercise and rewarding as you get better at climbing. I would recommend getting a 10 entree pass and splitting it with friends for cheaper over all cost if you're trying it out with someone else too.

Expérience fantastique: The crew that works here are super chill and accepting of new climbers, also a very fun and accepting environment. Don't feel like you can't go because you have never rock climbed before, this is the best place to learn. The climbs are very fun and challenging, and rock climbing as a whole is just a very good exercise for the brain and body. I highly recommend!

Expérience fantastique: Our first time climbing here. We had an excellent experience. Inviting and knowledgeable staff. Got us all set up quickly. Spent a good two hours. My 6 year old daughter had the most fun. A good amount of climbs for her.

I would suggest going here 100%. This place is great for birthday partys and just having fun with family and friends. Expérience négative: I was there with 2 kids and my girlfriend on Saturday Feb 5th, 2022 for the first time. We were new to rock climbing. I've gone years ago and enjoyed it but needed to brush up on the course and belalying. I'd like to start off by saying the place is very short staffed. I believe there was only 2 people working at the time, one at the front desk and the other on the floor. So when we got there around 420pm, waited till 430 for our time slot. Checked in right away but had to wait every single person booking at 430pm. We waited with 2 kids for 45 minutes. The girl on the floor was already with people on the floor so couldn't help us get going. And of course the only other girl was at the front desk, checking people in. Our 2 hr session became an 1 hr and 15 minute session. After paying $100 for the four of us, i can't help but feel ripped off. By the time we got on the floor with the trainer, it was already 515pm, and our session ended at 630pm. By the time, we were able to go on our own, it was 530pm. When i told the girl, you guys need more staff, she responded "know we don't, this is how we do things here". Making people wait 45 minutes is unacceptable. I won't be going there again. At the end, the kids had fun but we were very rushed to get climbing. My girlfriend and I, only had time to climb twice each. Ridiculous.

Expérience positive: Project Climbing in my hometown of Abbotsford is a small gym, but it has its charms. The bouldering is great, with a wide variety of problems. In my opinion, their bouldering quality is on par with the Hive in Vancouver. On the other hand, their top-rope and lead climbing are lackluster. Low ceilings and using the same boring old crimps seem to have dampened the setter's creativity. My main issue with this location is their lack of safety and staff. My experience when I visited last week was not great. Climbers would take off their masks during their sends, and there was no attempt by patrons to maintain any sort of physical distance. One lady even traversed underneath us while I was belaying, which is super unsafe if my climber were to suddenly fall! These issues could have been easily avoided with the addition of another staff member patrolling the mats instead of behind the front desk. I've been to many different climbing gyms during COVID, and this is the only one where I do not have confidence in their safety protocols. As a result, I will not be going here again until the public health situation has improved.

Expérience positive: Came here for a birthday party... the folks here are very friendly and helpful. The kids had a really good time and their instructor was wonderful, with the right balance between encouraging them but not being too pushy if they were uncomfortable. Pizza was good. I wasn’t expecting this to be a super shiny gym, as it is a sweaty, chalky sport (and the climbing area itself is pretty well kept) but, having said that, I will be honest that I think the party room could do with being a little bit cleaner/smarter, especially when you are serving food in there. (Not massively bad but I’m a weird clean-freak and did feel the urge to do some tidying and dusting!) On the whole, though, I would definitely recommend this center and go back!

Expérience négative: Outdated, sketchy, and very unsafe. The wall is creaky and most holds feel loose and unsafe. Took two newish climbers here whom I had never climbed with before. Their belay check was a JOKE! She passed them when they had no clue what they were doing...hands all over the place! I didn’t let them belay me until the tester left and I could teach them properly!!! (I’ve been climbing for many years). Needless to say, I will never climb here again and don’t recommended you do either...especially if you are new!

Expérience fantastique: We have been to this indoor climbing place a few times and it never disappoints. We just had out son't birthday party and everyone loved it. The staff is super friendly and safety is first. We will definitely be coming back for more.

Expérience fantastique: I climb here from September to May. I buy a membership because I go three days a week. It's a amazing way to build muscle and to have fun. Mondays are women's night

Expérience fantastique: Great place to climb, good variety of top ropes, lead climbing, and bouldering. I do wish the routes were a bit longer but you can't complain as they're using up all the height that they can. I didn't give the bouldering a try but the routes are good, there's a variety of climbs for all skill levels. The only downside is that some holds just come loose but other than that the prices are reasonable. Heads up the gym is relatively cold so bring a hoodie or wear pants if you plan on belaying/taking turns climbing.

Expérience positive: Really good experience for our family on July 16, 2017. Staff are polite and knowledgable, prices are fair. And though it's not the largest facility it's more than adequate, clean, and well-kept. Even the bathrooms were kept clean. One thing though: they may want to consider investing in air conditioning to be turned on a little/small amount for afternoons/early evening in summer months though.
