Expérience négative: I would recommend this gym, but I strongly advise against seeking help from Kim and Connor. They are not willing to assist. When I asked Kim about downgrading my membership, she kept directing me to send an email instead of helping directly. On another occasion, I encountered both Kim and Connor, but neither was willing to assist. After multiple visits, another staff member eventually helped me. Unfortunately, I ended up paying for Black Card access for three months—something I neither wanted nor used—due to the lack of assistance. Kim, who usually works mornings, has blonde hair and wears glasses. I wouldn’t recommend asking her for help.

Expérience positive: Started at this place last week. It seems like a fine starter gym but All of their TVs are uncalibrated cropped off which is an annoying oversight. This is a simple fix of going into the Settings > Picture Menu and then adjusting the signal to 16:9 or Just Scan but when I went to the front desk they said that they can't control the TV from there and that they "don't give us (the staff) remotes anymore" and took them away. All the TVs are similar and this would take only minutes without having to stop or change channels on cable or streaming because it is done immediately through the TV settings and not the streaming console or cable box but it shows a lack of detail from the staff that they just kind of don't care. I listen to my podcast but I also like to keep informed as I do my 20 minutes on the treadmill and closed captions are also cropped so you can't read whats going on either. Other than that its a great gym that is very roomy with good parking to go to on my way home from work and I hope to continue there.

Expérience négative: I like this gym, although this is the fourth time I’ve been to the gym and scanned my card and it’s given the green go and the spin door won’t budge. Then I have to wait another 30plus minutes. Which wasted precious gym time. Also talked to multiple other gym members and they said this is a common occurrence. I come here often and it’s very frustrating when it’s after hours and I come to work out and I can’t get in. Should be fixed as soon as possible. If it keeps happening I have to switch gyms unfortunately:((

Expérience négative: I recently joined **Fit for Less**, and I am extremely disappointed with the entire experience. When I signed up, I was explicitly told that the gym offered free Wi-Fi and that all amenities, including the massage chairs and sauna, were available to members. However, when I went to the gym to check out the facilities, I was shocked to find out that none of this was true. I spoke with a front desk receptionist, who was a Black lady, and she was not only unhelpful but extremely rude. She informed me that the amenities (massage chairs, sauna, etc.) are only available until **9:30 PM**. What about those of us who come after that time? That’s completely unreasonable and misleading, especially since I was told these features were available when I signed up. To make matters worse, she mentioned that **the sauna is broken** and that there is no Wi-Fi in the gym at all. I feel completely misled and frustrated. I joined this gym with the expectation that I’d have access to the amenities I was promised, but instead, I’m left with a membership that doesn’t offer what was advertised. And to top it off, the attitude from the staff was appalling. I expected much better from a gym that claims to offer quality services. Avoid this place if you’re looking for honesty and basic amenities!

Expérience positive: I've been a members since it replaced Goodlife. A decent gym, but as the membership numbers continue to grown, it should add 2-3 more adjustable benches in free weight and another cable machine (with only one, it is always monopolized by people). Downsizing the amount of space taken up by cross-fit stuff few people use would help.

Expérience négative: What is wrong with this gym? How don't you have showers before 7 am at a gym? It's ridiculous that you turn showers off for the morning rush before work, I guess I won't be sticking around after two weeks. Wish you stated that in your policies before signing up, but it's a great scam at getting an annual fee.

Expérience négative: I’m extremely disappointed with Fit4Less and their shady policies. I’ve been a loyal customer for 2 years and over the course of my membership, the companies shady monetization policies have become more evident. Yesterday, I tried to scan my membership card, only to find out it had been demagnetized. The staff then informed me that I had to pay $22 to re-magnetize the card. This is outrageous as I’m a paying member, and now I’m being charged extra for a problem that isn’t my fault. Nowhere in the welcome materials or posted in the gym does it say members are responsible for this fee. It feels like a blatant money grab. I’ll be canceling my membership and will be warning others about these unfair practices. Fit4Less needs to reconsider policies that seem designed to squeeze more money out of their members.

Expérience négative: On June 10th at 10am, me and one of my family members went to this fit4less to see the inside and ask some questions to see if we wanted to get a membership at this gym. We waited outside the door for a long time, during which we kept trying to use the employee call option to hopefully get help. This exact situation happened the other times we tried to check out the gym and we waited for half an hour without any staff being present or in sight at all. We decided to just get a membership in the front and go in with the new card. One of us went in and when I tried to scan the card to go in too, there was an error. We thought that the gate was glitching and tried to look for a staff member to help me get in as we did not know about the policy that only one person can get in with one membership. There was no staff to ask questions from, and after looking for a staff member, one of the people that was leaving the gym said to scan the door to the side to let me in so we did. However when we opened the door, the alarm went off because it was a emergency door. We did not see the sign on the door saying so and we trusted the person leaving the gym. After we both got in, we looked for am employee and finally found the manager and only person working there. The manager immediately started telling us to never use that door with an aggressive tone. When we tried to explain the situation and that it was our first time there she kept interrupting us and asking "do you understand to not use that door" while we said we understood the first time she told us. My mom finally asked why she wouldn't let us talk and that she just wanted someone to show us the gym. After a 30 second explanation of where the lockers and change rooms were, she told us that only one person with the membership could get in. This did not work for us as we both needed to be there so we decided to refund our membership. After the manager refunded it, my mother tried to ask if there was any receipt or confirmation for the refund but the manager again kept saying "listen to me" and just said it had been done. My mother speaks English as a second language so she struggled with getting her point across but the manager kept rudely interrupting and speaking down to her which frankly seemed like racist behavior. When we asked what the manager's name was to complain she said that she was the manager and did not have to give anyone a name. This experience was really abysmal and should not happen in such a corporate gym . Would not recommend staff is rude and inattentive

Expérience négative: this gym is absolutely disgusting. the bathrooms/change rooms extreamly gross. theirs toilet paper and paper towel all over the place. some of the toilet paper was used and put on the floor. Theirs 3 staff memeber behind the desk aswell. All they do is play in their phones and are usually rude to people. none of the equipment especially the dumbell racks look like they have been cleaned in almost a year. paper towels need to be refilled and garbage look full. I would change my mind if you would like to come here. the pictures of the stall was when i got their and b4 I left. and I was there for a while

Expérience négative: Gym is tidy for the most part except for changerooms. When I brought up cleanliness staff made excuses about how cleaning changing areas once a day is enough (obviously not) The gym is constantly unstaffed during the weekend and no reason or explanation is listed. This is completly unacceptable as they shut off showers and patrons are unable to use the amenities they pay for with the membership. I pay double for the privilege to tan and use massage beds and patrons should expect to be able to do this at a reasonable time on the weekend.

Expérience positive: How was it when we have multiple outbreaks including covid 19 here in Kingston that there's no hand sanitizer to access? Spoken to staff who say someone stole the squirt bottle but they have tons of refill amount but no bottle to put it in ? How is this acceptable???

Expérience positive: Decent facility. Most of the staff are very nice with one exception. The female staff member that was working tonight has always been rude and doesn’t seem to enjoy her job. Would recommend giving her some customer service training, as I know most of the member agree.

Expérience négative: Have been going to this gym for over a year and have to agree with others that the employees aren’t very attentive. I don’t think the showers in the men’s change room have ever been cleaned. There is mold and soap residue so thick you could scrape it off as well as gum stuck to the walls the have been there for months. Spend your money on another gym. I guess you get what you pay for.

Expérience négative: No wifi! C’mon. No way to reach the head office for complaints and suggestions, so the staff gets blamed for everything. There should be signs posted on the walls, a reminder to clean the equipment after use - noticed some people just don’t bother, yucks, especially wiping down the mats ….

Expérience négative: Poor maintenance and useless staff. Lockers are broken, staff unavailable during normal hours. Some staff members prefer to workout during their shift and leave customers unattended. Worst experience ever. Some people like to yell and scream when they workout. Yeeks! Edit- why should I reach out to your social DM? Check your gym cameras and see what your employees do

Expérience négative: All gyms asks the customer for bank account details for bi-weekly payment of about 10 dollars instead of using cash or a credit or mastercard. This is absolutely ridiculous because people are expected to give their own bank details for a gym facility and expects the customer to trust them with all their life savings. If the customer wants to use credit or master card they have to pay the annual fee and yearly payment of about 300 dollars. This is just absurd. On what basis are we trusting gym companies to bill the same amount to our chequing accounts? What if the system gets hacked? All the users bank account information are then leaked. In days where new technology such as AI and other hacking systems are present, hijacking someone's account is as easy it is. Don't recommend giving your bank details to any third party companies cause if it gets leaked or an employee leaks the information then the life of the customer is then ruined.

Expérience négative: The gym is open 24/7 But there's only staff between 7am and 7pm. They also shut off the showers during the rest of the day. The weekend is 12 to 5 and on holidays You don't get a shower at all. The equipment is dated and unorganized. At planet fitness, there was machines in a sequence, so you could do full body workout by just working those machines without knowledge. This gym is not for Amateurs. Also the payments are set up biweekly so that you're paying the same that you would pay at Planet Fitness and you get to have showers. Now I moved and I'm trying to cancel my subscription but they will not let me because I'm not physically there. I sent someone else with my card and they wouldn't let that person either. This gym was the worst decision I ever made.

Expérience positive: A pretty decent gym for what you are paying. My wife has a membership and I was going to workout there but I have mobility problems and their facility can't accommodate my workout needs so I'm forced to train at a more expensive gym. Overall a great economical gym for the average person though and the staff have always been polite and helpful.

Expérience positive: When I first joined this gym was stellar, everything in the right place and ultra clean. 2 years later it has gotten a bit messy and equipment isn’t stacked very well. Most gym goers seem to be very friendly though! It is spacious, lots of room to move and workout, decent layout, all in all a good gym! Just wish things were better organized and placed back in the correct spots. Much better then my last gym though.

Expérience négative: This gym is what you get for $15 a month absolutely nothing!!! dirtiest gym I have ever seen they haven’t cleaned the floors once all winter or the lockers they are dirty from people putting outdoor shoes in there which I understand why they do because you can’t take your boots off at front door it’s full of salt and sand unbelievably dirty!!! Bathrooms are in the same disgusting state. As for staff they are not friendly at all nor do they clean at al! I have been going to this gym since GoodLife started Atleast 10years ago 4-6 times a week and it has declined more and more every year especially when fit4less took over. I’m sorry for such a negative review I normally would never write a review on a local business but something needs to be done!!!

Expérience positive: The selection of Equipment is great especially with the Black Card Membership! Could be kept cleaner in the locker room and showers. Many cardio equipment has mechanical issues as they're worn out. There are maybe 10 ellipticals but 5 actually work.

Expérience positive: Cleanliness is sometimes iffy and this was true during COVID as well, which is unfortunate considering not everyone will wipe down their machines. Overall a good gym, recently renovated, good range of equipment and machines. However, don’t expect great customer service, as I’ve never been greeted warmly by staff and have on numerous occasions heard them making fun of various gym-goers. If you’re a self-conscious individual, I would take from that what you will.

Expérience négative: Employee in the morning that is supposed to turn the shower on at 0700 is always late (or does not show up) and the gym is getting extremely neglected (dirty and 0 maintenance to the machines). Actively looking for another gym … I guess you get what you pay for ‍♂️ Update: extremely unreliable, looks like now it is unstaffed whenever they want without telling members … can we get the shower so we can go to work on time and clean !!!! Really frustrating Update: this morning they cut the water for the showers in the middle of when I was showering for absolutely no good reason (full of soap and other clients were in the same situation) Stay away from that gym … I am now canceling my subscription

Expérience positive: I have been a member for many years. At first when fit for less took over not much changed. But when the new reno’s where done they thought it was a good idea to shut off the showers until staff are there. This is ridiculous. I sometimes come to work out after working nights and on the weekends showers are not turned on until 10am. I pay for a full membership. I under stand about the tanning rooms and the massage chairs and tables but no showers is unacceptable.

Expérience négative: This location has a bad habit of not being open on time, or at all on weekend mornings. Edit: happened again. Seems to be happening more and more.

Expérience négative: The facility is outdated, and the equipment is old. the Cleanliness is non existent. A pulldown bar completely shredded and lost its grip about 1.5 months ago. Despite asking staff to update the bar, it's been ignored. At least 3 treadmills are unresponsive. Yet we all pay how much? Bring back Goodlife, or, I know this sounds crazy, maintain your equipment....

Expérience négative: Hate leaving low rated reviews, but I've been asking to cancel my membership for months now because I don't live near a club anymore and they continue to charge me. I'm getting fed up with them at this point, and they are making it super difficult to cancel my membership. Not worth wasting your money at any of these gyms

Expérience fantastique: I loved this gym! The staff were friendly, and I found the membership VERY easy to sign up for, and very easy to cancel! Joseph, who helped me with both, was professional, friendly, and so efficient! Truly unbelievable product for the low cost. Pros: -So many machines (especially for cardio). I never had to wait! -REALLY big space. Not like the teeny tiny boutique gyms. Nice and spacious. -Clean enough -Nice big changing room -Very good price! Cons: -No wifi in gym -Limited number of mats for stretching and stuff -Hours are pretty good, but not amazing. Still really good for the price though.

Expérience fantastique: Clean enough and has never been too crowded since I have signed up, which I appreciate (covid times). I do wish they had a few more machines (i.e. glute drive) but overall has everything you need for a basic gym membership.

Expérience négative: Wow, can only say that I haven't talked to any 2 people at a given company and been so disturbed by the lack of communication skills, or manners in general. One of them being the alleged Manager Lindsey. The conversation, for the record was at 3:18 on December 14th, 2021. I called to ask if the package that was online saying that I could have family members use my membership while I wasn't there, included a guest to join me and was told quite rudely no. When I asked a confirmation question to compare a competitor the girl I spoke to was even more belligerent and hung up. When I called back to ask her name, she hung up again. I called a third time and asked for a manager who I was told was the girl I was speaking to and that she was indeed a manager. When I told her the situation she said, "Yeah, so is there anything I can help you with today?" and when I answered "is that seriously how you're going to handle this?" she huffed and puffed in my ear an repeated her answer, to which I repeated my question. That was when she grunted something and hung up. If that is the level of customer service at this gym, then I for one wouldn't recommend anyone go there. Kind of tempted to get a membership and give it to all my friends and family for when I'm NOT there though.

Expérience fantastique: I have a membership here. The hours aren't 24/7 but I like the better weight set up. You can pay a little more for the black card if you want more heavy weights. But if your new to going to a gym I'd suggest taking the basic membership and then see how you'd like to work up to the extra weight. It has been clean there everytime I've gone and everyone I see are wiping down the equipment when they are done with it.

Expérience négative: HORRIBLE customer service. The manager Lindsay is extremely rude. Whole staff is lazy and seems miserable. I am owed a payment after cancellation which Lindsay told me would be refunded.. Also staff does NOT follow mask protocol. Do NOT join.

Expérience négative: Worst gym. The staff are extremely rude. Don’t dare going to that gym. Worst manager. RUDE. I have never even posted a review for any company. But this I had to. Messed up my weekend. Literally no help. After overcharging me $90 like what ?!!!

Expérience négative: This is the worst gym I have ever been to. I hate to leave reviews like this but hoping to help some people out by letting them know to avoid this place. The staff are extremely rude and unwelcoming. I tried to cancel my membership during one of the lock downs and they said I could not officially cancel until they opened back up (unsure why). I was headed for remote work without cell service and would not be around when they opened back up. I explained my situation and they would not let me cancel. So, I ended up having to pay for an extra few months. They charge $15 if you lose your card to get into the gym. When I finally did cancel, they make you pay for the next month, no option. Ie. If you cancel on Sept 5, you must still pay until Oct. 5. They take the opportunity to scam you at any point that they can.

Expérience négative: Please do yourself a favour. Don’t get a membership here. Their banking and accounts setup it terrible and they won’t fix the problems. Lindsay, the manager in Kingston is awful and so are her staff. Rude, inconsiderate and the manager hung up on me.

Expérience négative: Customer service is essentially non-existent. I've been having difficulties trying to book appointments due to my membership ID number not working to create an account for online bookings. This was going on for over two months, no one at the front desk was doing anything about it and I was finally directed to the manager who didn't fix the issue and just sent me on my way. Will be cancelling my membership as soon as this most recent lockdown is over.

Expérience négative: I signed up for a Black Card Membership. I went in to get my card. I asked about the free bag and t-shirt. Was told that they were out of bags LOL... I wasn't offered at least the shirt, so I didn't ask...2 weeks later, I asked if they got their "shipment" of bags and surprise surprise, they had received some. Was I called to let me know they were in? Nope. Pretty sure my cell # is on file AND a staff member "wrote me down" for a bag. The "segregated Black Card Member' room is a no go! No music or ventilation and the ceiling's too low. I'm good. Also, the 75 minute "workout" time slot is not long enough but that's a Head Office headache I don't feel like getting. Can't wait to get back to Ottawa! City Park Drive, I miss you!

Expérience négative: This place doesn't deal with problems at all. I've been charged for several months now and have never ever joined this Fit4 less place. I've gone in and shown them the statement showing the charges coming out and have had no comments or retributions for reimbursement for several months already. I'm thinking of taking this to small claims court for falsely charging a business account .

Expérience négative: No specified information provided about cancellation policy when I joined and now I am not going to this location for more than 2 months and they are charging me for that which I think is not fair. Never have been contacted by them about charging me unnecessarily and manager also not paying any attention towards this issue.

Expérience négative: Poor customer service, staff is so rude. Always get hard time to book time slot, according to staff that’s the way they run business, doesn’t matter if you get time slot or not. Why we have to pay if we don’t get time to work out. Staff never willing to help if you need. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Expérience négative: great gym in terms of equipment and price. Customer service however is terrible. 2 of the employees yesterday seemed determined to pick on me from the second I got in, I got interrupted while working out around 4 times yesterday, while the lady at the front was trying to kick me out despite my time not being up yet and others still being on the floor. Very rude and disrespectful in the way they spoke to me, continued to watch me while I was working out despite me following every rule they told me and no other employees complaining about me the previous day. Seems like rules apply based on who you like/dislike

Expérience négative: Wanted to sign up to this gym after being a Goodlife Norwest member. I asked about the Black Card membership and if I'm allowed to bring a friend (as one of the perks) for a workout and the employee on the phone was extremely rude, commenting on how irresponsible it is to bring a friend while there is a pandemic. She said "No we are not honouring guests right now" in such a rude tone. Ma'am I was just asking. After reading reviews on poor customer service, I can definitely concur. Yes I know there is a pandemic, which is why I asked what the updated policy is because it is still advertised that you can bring a friend if you have the Black Card. Apparently you can't bring a friend with you (for now) but you can book them for an hour under your membership but you can't be there if you also want to workout and you can't book yourself a workout because memberships are only allowed 1 booking per day. This would have been an easy way to explain but the employee had to chime in her opinion unprofessionally.

Expérience positive: It's clean and has almost everything once I adjusted to the things they used to offer as Goodlife (have to bring my own towel now and toiletries). I don't understand why they took so many benches out of the change rooms. I come at a pretty light traffic time (early morning) and it isn't USUALLY a problem but I can't even imagine being in there at peak times. When they took the toiletries out of the showers adding another small shelf would have been nice since people now have to bring more. I use travel-sized bottles in a very small case and it still falls off the tiny shelf on the back of the door. It used to bother me that the staff were always sitting on the counters looking at their phones but with the removal of personal training, toiletries etc to refill and no laundry to collect and wash there really is little for them to do when members don't need anything (which is most of the time at least at 5:30am) so I don't blame them for occupying themselves.

Expérience négative: While it has better equipment than planet fitness, the gym hours and most of its staff are downright terrible. I switched over because I workout very early in the morning and this was advertised as 24/7 which it isnt! The mid-remodel look doesn't really bother me but the lack of care by the staff does. Ive never even been in customer service but I know when a customer comes up to your counter the only proper thing to do is greet them and ask if they need assistance. You don't ignore them until they have to get your attention and then slowly look up from your phone with a half dead gaze and and still say nothing. If I could give the staff zero stars I would. The only reason I haven't gone to another gym is because I just moved and this is the only convenient gym for me to go but if I had a better option I'd be all over it!

Expérience fantastique: Lots of equipment, some of the highlights for me being: 3 full squat racks, benches, row machines, smith machines, trx and bunch of other cardio machines. Change room and showers are decent. Lots of parking. If only it were open 24 hours... Definitely a welcomed improvement compared to the old Fit4Less

Expérience négative: It's like a goodlife but less.. has all the Equipment and weights as needed but they haven't cleaned up of fixed the place to make it look like a fit4less.. old good life signs, holes in the walls where they removed things, staff just sit on the counter all day...

Expérience négative: While the machines are still there and some familiar faces, it is now a quiet and subdued place; the staff, when I signed up were dismissive, talked down to me and my daughter and were not pleased when we had to ask for help. Have been lift training for a year now, was looking forward to utilizing gym for cardio... staff might want to take a look at themselves and realize they are not better than members
