Toronto Track and Field Centre: Avis
Expérience positive: Great place to train inside in the winter. As for weights and weight training, it doesn't have a huge variety of equipment, nor up-to-date equipment, but, for only $100 for the indoor season, you really can't complain. You can still get deeezed there.
Expérience fantastique: Volunteered here and they treated me great! I got to spend a good weekend golf carting for free
Expérience fantastique: Friendly and professional and have recommended it to my friends. Sina was my psychotherapist and he did a great job making me understand that I had an inbalance due to one side of my glutes being weaker than the other. And he also helped with shoulder pain I had from an injury years ago. I saw definite improvement on both areas as the sessions went on from the exercises he would give me to do.
Expérience fantastique: Great outdoor facility...indoor is nice but limited for spectators on he 2nd floor. Don't forget to pay for parking...you can do so via QR Code...otherwise, the parking ticket is $89.
Expérience positive: Probably the only indoor track and field training facility. Full of people, good atmosphere.
Expérience fantastique: They have a nice indoor running track and some old school gym equipment
Expérience positive: Great facility and track. Banked 200m indoor track with straight away for sprints and infield for field events. There is a small area outside main track for warmup.
Expérience fantastique: Coach our speed workouts there in the winter. Great 200m Indoor Oval and 100M straight indoor facility with some weight training and machines for running related working out. The track is not for hobby joggers although the outer warm up lane can work for that but it does get busy. There are usually some fast runners on the oval track and clubs and coaches holding workouts. Track etiquette for safety is paramount. If you are interested in proper run or throw training, then join a club, best with National Coaching Association Certified Coaches, club and competition event listings which are available at Athletics Ontario web site. Although running is for all ages, avoid this facility with children under 6.
Expérience négative: Bad parking set up, viewing area is too small and staff are not friendly.
Expérience fantastique: Great for speed work during the winter !
Expérience fantastique: Very busy professional training place
Expérience fantastique: Great track! I love how close it is to the subway too. The gatekeeper let me and friends in for free.
Expérience positive: a lot of equipment and good facility! the weights equipment is a bit old but that's fine!
Expérience fantastique: Great place, affordable price
Expérience fantastique: Is the best for ever good place
Expérience positive: Need way more seating all around the track. It's crowded, congested, smelly and frustrating having to squish your way into an area where you can barely see the track for hours on end.
Expérience fantastique: Great track
Expérience fantastique: Great indoor track and gym to workout at if you have the drive and the enthusiasm to workout here come on down sign up for a monthly membership and let's work that body!!
Expérience positive: Very good equipment, and the vending machine kept giving people free snacks or more money.
Expérience positive: Very descent
Expérience positive: Great atmosphere and a very well maintained atmosphere. Professionals that know what they are doing as well as a great space to train. Did physiotherapy here and I'm beginning to gracefully compete at a high Co-ed level. Definitely would recommend this for anyone starting off or developing themselves into a tier 1 athlete.
Expérience fantastique: only indoor track and field arena in toronto. nice and organized but seating place very cramped.
Expérience positive: Nice sport center in York University. Next to subway station and lots of parking space
Expérience fantastique: Zydney A and coach Remi #Winning
Expérience positive: Enjoyable place if you attend prepared. No food onsite or nearby, only delivery. Smart families came with packed sandwiches and drinks.
Expérience positive: Track is awesome. As a spectator, I wish there was more room.
Expérience fantastique: This is a nice place to train indoors in winter.
Expérience fantastique: Good
Expérience fantastique: Went to the outdoor Track & Filed Special Olympics to support a looooong time friend from waaaaaay back in the 90s.
Expérience fantastique: Awesome.e facility
Expérience fantastique: Great place, I practice human flag and do sprints here. But be warned don't try the indoor track in summer it's boiling at that time. I'd stick with the outdoor one while it's summer, especially past 7 cause then the shade hits the whole track
Expérience fantastique: UPDATE: Great place. Cool atmosphere. Certain parts of the track have been fixed so there are no longer holes in any lanes. Most of the weight machines are very close to one another. The track seems somewhat dirty in places. As far as weight machines go, it is difficult to get a pin. The free weights work but they are very dated. I give it 5 stars because it's incredibly good value for money.
Expérience positive: Went there to watch son at an outdoor event (javelin). Typical track and field stuff. Parking a bit of an issue...
Expérience fantastique: A fully stocked track facility where you can share space with nationally ranked athletes and find top level coaches like Val Grosse to take you to whatever level of performance you desire.
Expérience fantastique: Great facilities, nice place to see a track and field meet
Expérience positive: Has necessary amenities. Can get crowded.
Expérience fantastique: Great facility for spectators.
Expérience positive: track is a little out of date, but good facility.
Expérience fantastique: Great facility. Went for the ofssa meet. Great parking...
Expérience négative: It's not open to the public. Only open to players during game time.
Expérience fantastique: Sick place
Expérience fantastique: Fantastic track and field center
Expérience positive: Well laid out facility. From gallery easy to see all activities going on. Easy acsess from highway and parking.
Expérience négative: Drove out here only to find the facility being used for an event and thus was unable to drop-in use for the facility.. staff there claimed the schedule is posted online. Did not find the schedule online anywhere. Edit: came here on a totally separate occasion for drop-in and this time I called in advance to make sure there was no event going on. Guess what? Turns out there's an event happening and I can't use the facility. The front desk gave me false information and I wasted my time and money. Shocking stuff. Your best bet may be to assume the track is not available on the weekends.
Expérience fantastique: The site Worth The place Adore-able See What is the Worth Athletics all ages values Prevention is far ahead to keep good health than Cure -
Expérience positive: Need more locations like this in the GTA. Reasonable place but unreasonable entry fees! Poorly maintained wash rooms.
Expérience positive: Good bit parking is very expensive.
Expérience positive: It’s the popular indoor track for the Toronto and surrounding areas.
Expérience fantastique: 7/10 track there are 2 weight rooms very good facilities
Expérience positive: Quiet place. $5.50 day use. Free as a York student. Indoor track, 2 weightrooms, machines, outdoor full-size track. Majority of equipment is well aged but works without issue. Power racks and weightlifting platforms. Dumbbells up to 120lbs
Expérience fantastique: First time and hopefully not the last....what a wonderful facility....thank you athletic Ontario for holding meets for the older athletes....it's a wonderful experience!!!!!
Expérience fantastique: Excellent facility for hosting the U18 AO championships.
Expérience positive: Great place to train and compete. Bleachers for spectators could use some updating.
Expérience négative: No seating for the mass amount of spectators!
Expérience positive: Live the Dream....
Expérience négative: I understand it's an athletic complex but there is no consideration for people with mobility devices or strollers. The expectation is if you can't make it upstairs you can't be a spectator. You can hang around in the lobby or peek in through the doors. Do better. Parking isn't bad at $5/day
Expérience fantastique: Facility is pretty nice. Equipment is well kept and the change rooms are always clean.
Expérience fantastique: Great place to train. Has high jump. Long jump with real sand.workout facilities and physio facilities.
Expérience fantastique: Excellente installation pour les lancers!
Expérience fantastique: Amazing track! Great for sprinting and jogging! Many things to do there and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive. Clean facilities and with detailed instructions for each area.
Expérience fantastique: I LOVE the indoor training facility!! Excellent exercise bikes and track.
Expérience fantastique: Great place to train for track and field! Friendly staff and clean environment!
Expérience fantastique: Fun place to work out. Right on campus with a cheap entry fee and option for a cheap membership. Fully worth the money. Staff are nice and equipment is kept in good shape.
Expérience fantastique: Good
Expérience fantastique: The schedule here changes monthly so make sure you check ahead of time. Overall great track it has everything you could need like equipment, weights, the track and a sense of community. Friendly and outgoing staff willing to help.
Expérience positive: Old, needs a face lift, and more sitting for spectators
Expérience positive: Always crowded.
Expérience fantastique: An excellent indoor facility. Visited for a tack and field event and was pleasantly surprised at the great organisation of the event too
Expérience positive: Toronto's main indoor track and field centre is so below everage considering Toronto is one of the bigest cities in north America. this is a poor indoor facility for a city with many winter months.
Expérience positive: This is a good place to visit to watch indoor track and field, and if you want your kids to be involved in track and field, you will meet many club coaches ready and willing to get your child involved. Lot of buzz here!
Expérience positive: At one time this place set a new standard for indoor track and field training. Still serves the purpose, but feels a bit dated. Wish that a benevolent benefactor would donate and spruce this place up just a bit. But thank you to the staff for their great service and continuing to provide a solid training facility in Toronto. Always a new crop of athletes working hard to come a long way and represent the nation.
Expérience positive: Nice indoor track for winter
Expérience fantastique: Very afforfable amd good hours. Fantastic facility
Expérience positive: Great weight rooms with weightlifting platforms and plenty of barbells and power racks. The problem is the equipment is old and they severely lack enough plates especially 10lbs and 5lbs. They also have a lacking amount of dumbbells. If they added 100lbs in 5s and 10s they'd get 5 stars. In terms of the track for running it's excellent indoor and outdoor.
Expérience fantastique: Great facility, equipped with track and field equipment (as is to be expected), has both indoor and outdoor track and has a great gym/work out area inside as well. Membership fees are really well priced, daily drop in is offered. There is also free entry for York students (provided they are enrolled in the current semester) and to Tait McKenzie members
Expérience négative: Ugh...horrible setup for spectators.
Expérience fantastique: the only one of it kind in the Gta
Expérience fantastique: Nice track, old but usable.
Expérience fantastique: One of the best indoor venues I've ever been to
Expérience positive: I missing going to York University as this is a great place to train.
Expérience positive: Very good experience
Expérience fantastique: Friendly staff
Expérience fantastique: This track and field centre is city owned athletic training centre. Before 1998 it was called the Metro Toronto Track and Field Centre. This centre is located in York University the Keele Campus. The centre lends itself to both daily training and very high calibre track and field competitions. I believe on the outdoors it has a 8 lane rubberized 400 meter Olympics regulation track with two 125 meters sprint hurdles runways. Outdoor phototimer booths. There is also about a 1600 sq meters practice throwing paddock for javelin discus shotput and hammer events. Indoors has lot also. 5 lane 200 meters oval track. 8 lane 100 meters sprint hurdle runway. Pole vaulting area. 2 high jump areas. 2 long jump runways. Shotput throwing circle. Discus throwing area. 2 universal gyms. Meeting rooms. Locker rooms with shower. And much more.
Expérience positive: Good indoor track to jog!
Expérience positive: I remember in elementary school coming here it was okay
Expérience positive: Awesome facility and awesome staff, but, groups that use facility are not considerate of others. Jumps runways are very dangerous. Kids are always running across while runways are being used. One day there will be a serious accident.
