Expérience positive: I've had a few bad experiences at this gym. On two separate occasions, I had men get way too close to me. One time a man came up behind me while I was on a glute machine pretending to "clean" it basically touching my behind. On a different occasion, I was tucked in a corner doing deadlifts and a man came up behind me less than two feet away and sat down, eye level as I bent over. I asked him to move and got snapped at. It's sad because the equipment at this gym is really good but the vibe is SO bad. I've noticed other girls look uncomfortable too. I drive across town to go to a different location which is really unfortunately. The staff is nice though.

Expérience fantastique: I absolutely love coming to anytime fitness McKenzie! This place is honestly my favorite part of the day. Solange and Sydney are so incredible and awesome to see when I come do my workout, they are so welcoming and friendly. This gym is so clean and makes me so happy to workout here. Keep it up:)

Expérience fantastique: Excellent gym, welcoming staff and positive atmosphere. The facilities are always clean and well maintained. My personal trainer Keona is great, she is enthusiastic and encouraging, corrects my posture if needed and always checks in to ensure I am not over exerting myself, but consistently moving forward. I am delighted with my progress (and recovery from a previous injury), the whole experience has been just what I needed.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent location. Best staff . They keep the place clean as well as machines. Can’t stand signing up at gyms that don’t do their diligence with cleanliness. Well that is not the case here thank goodness :) Best part with the magical purple key fob this place is 24 hrs . And they have full showers in multiple bathrooms .

Expérience positive: One of the best things about the gym is its upkeep even though the inventory is limited even the trainers are too knotch thats why I thought I will take a PT BUT WORST part abiut this gym is the fee structure Its been almost 3 to 4 years and this gym has always been quite inflexible about PT fee structure OR EVEN payment plans. This happened with me earlier as well. With great other gyms as competitors such as Fitness,Fitness world and studio4 Anytime needs to think....a lot everyone maintains gym its other stuff that matters

Expérience fantastique: Came from anytime Langford for my personal trainer Solange. One of the only trainers I've fully fallen for. The gym is wonderful to boot! Lots of equipment and natural light and it's never too busy. A great array of equipment and machines, and is always clean.

Expérience fantastique: Solange personal trainer & manager makes you feel so welcome. Her knowledge about the body and exercises is in depth and she is able to make the information digestible. She has such an empowering, caring and positive attitude. I am not someone who feels comfort in a gym and she makes me feel comfortable and confident in working out. Highly, highly recommend Solange as your personal trainer.

Expérience fantastique: My absolute favourite club to train at. Facility is so well taken care of and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. In addition to the many good things about this club, there are plenty of machines to help you achieve your fitness goals no matter what they are. All in all, I would highly recommend!

Excellent private washrooms and showers! The location is great close to the Mall, BC Liquor Store ,Phoenix Bar & Grill, Monkey Tree Restaurant and Bar- Wine / Beer Store! I recommend this place! It’s vey reasonably priced! Cheers!

Expérience négative: Totally disappointed with the terms and conditions they have, I had an exam next month so I wanted to freeze my account for a month and they needed a One month prior notice for that. The gym instructor Kayala is very rude and mean. Still stuck with the membership because She said that we’ll have to pay more $ to get out of it what a scam!! Worst gym I’ve ever been

Expérience fantastique: I've been a member of Anytime fitness for almost a decade and I've been to well over a dozen locations across Canada and the USA. The gyms are all similar with good quality equipment, they're clean, and the staff are helpful whenever I've needed them. This is the 4th gym that I consider my main gym and it lives up to the quality I expect from AF.

Expérience positive: With Anytime Fitness you always give up space and variety/quantity of equipment for convenience and portability. That said, this is one of the better ones I've been to. Nicely renovated facilities with a much-better-than average four squat/multi purpose racks. Helpful staff and generally considerate patrons who are there to work out and not just make TikToks of their butts. Minor quibbles: it's always crowded at peak times (not blaming the gym for that) and change rooms could maybe be cleaned a bit more. Other than that, good gym.

Expérience négative: Edit in response to Owner's Response: Chalk does not damage commercial gym equipment, that is an express lie. Cleanliness is the main concern of the negative reviews here, if I was in management I would examine my business if the same complaint kept arising. Original Review: Kayla, the manager, sent me a text message letting me know I would no longer be able to bring chalk to the gym. This message came after I had been bringing chalk to the gym for several months with no issues, and no staff talking with me (I work out during staffed hours). She simply said it was against their policy and that "they were not that type of gym." Then what type of gym are you? Further, she cited chalk as being "too messy." I am confused, as chalk in a gym is a standard sight, and I expect daily cleaning in a fitness facility due to the nature of the business. I am sad to rate it poorly, love the trainers and fellow members. Close to my house and the FOB system is killer. A shame I must leave due to chalk.

Expérience négative: The most unpleasant experience ever had... should have listen to our friends who DON"T RECOMMAND them. My boyfriend and I couldn't go the the gym due to vaccine card, he called them to cancel the contract for both of us and was told to send email to them who told him later that we need to pay $300 to cancel because the contract hasn't end yet, and I need to email them myself. I emailed them twice already and hear absolutely nothing from them. We would love to keep going there but the reality is we're not allowed to so this is ridiculous that we cannot cancel the membership!! Won't recommend them at all!!

Expérience négative: Nothing positive to say. They do know how to make money. After a 6 month contract (my personal test) they keep removing money from you. Reason I did not renew the contract (and you do need to give me back the extra month payed): there is no one looking at your posture while using the machines, there is nothing unless you pay extra, personal trainer is insistent on collecting money! Literally, you pay to use the machines, do not expect anything else! It makes more sense to buy those and keep at home (less expensive in 4-5years). Their market are adddicteds to fitness who are using those machines for years, and can't keep them in their homes. If you are new, don't waste you money and time!

Expérience négative: great equipment, ridiculous pricing though, very pushy staff online and lots of phone calls for no reason, but staff would rather flirt with each other when you're there lol, manager doesn't seem to care about clients.

Expérience négative: The management has gone downhill since Shannen left. I have been a member for 4 years and I loved coming to the gym because I was always welcomed at the door with a friendly smile. I noticed the cleanliness of the gym has decreased in the last few weeks. Wipe stations are empty, equipment is left all over the floor, and the paper towel are empty. I’ve also noticed the culture has deteriorated not having Shannen and Lisa interacting with members. Most of the regulars have left the gym now and went to Fit4Less. It’s sad to see as I used to love coming to the gym.

Expérience négative: EDIT: Reply to owners response: Mistakes happen. Your actions and response seriously lacks customer service skills. Why are you in a service industry if you have no concept of what good customer service looks like? All you have to do is either a) call your members, or b) provide some lenience instead of going straight to suspension. You called my partner and were apologetic on the phone, its too bad your online persona is so hostile - perhaps there is a serious management problem if you don't put customer service first! My partner and I have been members of this gym for over a year. They send a MILLION advertising emails. On ONE occasion we enter and I* forget to scan my pass, my partner held the door for me. Next y’know HE gets an email (1 of a million so obv doesn’t open it - straight to filter) telling him to call the gym within 24 hours! Of course he has a life so doesn’t notice until combing through emails sees one sent less than 24 hours later SUSPENDING his membership. So unprofessional! We’re not even locked into a contract - we could’ve cancelled. I wish the Esquimalt Good Life was still open. Too bad this is one of few options - maybe time to try Steve Nash? Oh also can’t wait for my snarky response and an email or phone call from the gym! I can see from other negative review this is the gyms M.O. CANT WAIT

Expérience fantastique: Very very clean place. Organized. Covid protocols followed. Nice and happy staff around. Small but enough for a workout. Nice facility!

Expérience fantastique: I exercise most mornings before work and train once a week with one of the personal trainers. I can't say enough positive things about my training experience there - its been incredible! The gym itself is fairly basic, but it has just about anything that you'd need for a good workout and its not too busy.

Expérience fantastique: Very clean and friendly staff! The reservation system is a little frustrating right now, as you have to book 2 days in advance but they’re doing the best they can to accommodate everyone and I appreciated them being open :)

Expérience fantastique: Throughout the Covid pandemic I have witnessed and appreciated how all of the staff and Shannen in particular have been vigilant with their cleaning protocols. Quick to answer any questions and concerns I have. They do all of this with a light in their eyes and with grace.

They are very polite and always smiling, they make the gym fun to go to. I enjoy seeing the same people going and it is a very positive relaxed atmosphere. By far the best gym I have been to. Expérience fantastique: The gym is not spacious but nicely organized and managed. Staffs are responsible and active to keep the equipment clean. But I still suspect there are certain members who never wear a mask in the free weight area which make others uncomfortable sometime.

Expérience fantastique: Been a member of this gym now for nearly 5 months and the experience has been great. Staff is kind, does well to keep the place clean and with certain protocols being in place, not allow too many people in. Gym has basically everything you could need to work out from cardio to free weights. Members themselves do a great job on respecting space and wiping down equipment after use as well. Special shoutout to Krystal, who has been training me basically since I joined. If you need some motivation to get into gear, I highly recommend her. Most work outs end with me completely exhausted by the end. Drawbacks to the gym? Only two that I can think of. Parking can sometimes be a problem if things are busy (Tim Hortons, Office building, BC Liquor) and the gym itself is a bit small. Aside from that, this gym is awesome and will likely have all you need to reach your fitness goals.

The staff is so friendly and encouraging, the atmosphere is great, and they are always doing their best to improve the space whether that be through the layout, equipment, maintenance, safety protocols etc.

Expérience fantastique: It is so convenient knowing when I am in Victoria I can still go for a workout. The staff are continually cleaning and the members are very conscientious about wiping down the equipment before & after use.

Expérience fantastique: Great facility and has all the equipment a person needs. Designated section for more functional training as well as a studio area. 2 power racks and a deadlifting platform! All of the power racks and cable machines also have pull-up bars. Lots of equipment and lots of space.

Signed up a month ago and have been regular - and with Victoria's weather it's hard to be regular, as y'all know. Never felt nicer in my body. Very friendly staff. I go here before I go to bed in the night - not so busy and chill. Would highly recommend. Had my family and friend signed up too. :)

Expérience fantastique: This location quickly became my home gym after one week of going. Lotsa cardio machines to choose from and enough squat racks and free weights for everyone usually. Best part is super friendly and welcoming staff who I have grown to love them all ! They also do a deep clean and wipe down the facility and equipment frequently to make the gym clean and safe.

The gym is sanitized regularly by the staff throughout the day. They are handling this pandemic pretty well.

I’ve been a member here for some time and I have been to many other gyms but this one has got to be my favourite one of all! Especially it having multiple locations not only on the island but all over the world!

The staff are extremely friendly and the gym is very well maintained with new equipment. Also, the place was always spotless - the staff do a great job of keeping it clean!

All the locations have a good supply of equipment, they're very clean and the staff have always been helpful. The best part for me is the 24/7 access that fits with my schedule.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is in a great location and close to my house. Easily accessible by bike and there is always car parking. The gym is always clean and all the equipment you need are there. I would recommend going to this gym.

Expérience négative: I signed up for a free trial hoping to start at a new gym after SN Fitness chain closed due to Covid (we are post covid now when everything is re-opened). The doors are locked during the day, after I knocked I was greeted by a staff member who told me that they we're not honoring free trails. After I asked if I could work in just the day (0930 on a weekday is nnot a busy time) to try it out since I was already there, she replied with a hard no. Anytime Fitness had a golden opportunity to poach ex SteNas clients that will actually continue memberships yet they are doing the opposite rejecting them. I would not go back to try even after Covid long past just out of pride. Disappointment HIGHLY un-recommend. Their gym's are not known for quality and will lose out to eventual real competition.

Expérience fantastique: Best gym I’ve been to for years. Always clean, nice equipment, and as long as you avoid peak times, you never need to wait for a machine. Staff are friendly and supportive and so are the members. It’s the first gym in awhile I’ve been to that didn’t always have some big goon screaming in the corner lifting weights while seemingly having a staring contest with himself in the mirror. It’s a goon free gym. ‍♂️✌

Expérience fantastique: Went to this gym for about a year, and I really enjoyed it as it had incredibly clean equipment, change rooms and bathrooms. Whenever I needed advice or training help their staff was always willing to help and incredibly knowledgeable. I wish that this gym offered some kind of heavy bag training area, I spoke with the manager about this and we both understood that it was unreasonable for the size. Other than that awesome gym, great staff, great environment and I’m sad to have to say goodbye.

Expérience fantastique: Love this gym. Equipment is top of the line. Love that they have life fitness brand equipment. Way more up to date then the precor machines I used to use at my old gym. Definitely sticking to McKenzie. I am excited for Keating crossing to open. Way better then most gyms for cleanliness. Always impressed with Melanie. She’s the most friendly and knowledgeable manager ever.

Expérience positive: The gym was on the smaller side, but it was always clean and the equipment was updated and nice. Unfortunately I found the staff to be very hit or miss when it came to being welcoming and friendly which was alittle dissapointing.

Expérience négative: clean, average list of equipment in good condition but too small, too crowded, too expensive. also, there is no real changing room and only one(two?) shower for all. u r welcome.
