Expérience négative: Honestly if it wasn’t the only one close to my house I wouldn’t be going to this location, Iv been going for over a month and I can say it’s fairly dirty, and the equipment is very packed together so there isn’t much room to breath. In this month I have noticed the bathrooms remain disgusting and so does most of the outdated equipment. I’m not the only one to notice as this picture is on the bathroom wall.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym. Been going here for a couple months. The owner, Mani is absolutely amazing. Super helpful and friendly. I’ve also been working with a trainer, Brian. Who is also so helpful and juts wonderful. The manager of this gym is also great, he’s always willing to help show how to use any of the equipment. The price of this gym may be a little higher than others but with what you receive, i believe it is absolutely worth it.

Expérience négative: The manager of this place is terrible at his job. He was misleading in presenting me with the contract, making no mention of the payments being bi-weekly or the 1 month notice of cancellation. To the contrary, when I asked if the frequency of payments would be on a monthly basis, he agreed. When I realised i was being charged every 2 weeks and called to request an account cancellation and refund for the weeks I was charged unfairly, he went on irrelevant tangents about the month-to-month nature of the contract and how this was the price everyone paid. While it was clear that my issue was based on his ineptitude in communicating a contract properly, resulting in the conflict we were having, he insisted on arguing a seperate point, that the price was the same for all customers and that I wanted something short term, resulting in higher cost. I seriously think he did not understand the problem I was having, perhaps english was not his first language. I spoke to the owner a few days later, on the 12th of august, who seemed to understand the issue at hand much better. He told me that nothing could be done about a refund, but that he would go ahead and cancel my account right away, waiving the months notice of cancellation. I was satisfied enough not having to deal with the manager anymore that I was happy at that point. You can imagine my utter annoyance when 2 weeks following that exchange, another charge is made on my card. I called the owner, who told me that surprisingly, my account had been transferred to another location because I had frequented that one more often. He suggested I call that location and he informed me he could cancel my payment on the 9th of august. Weird, I thought. He told me on the 12th he could not process refunds. When I called the other location a few days later, I was told that my account had been transferred multiple days after the 12th, and that the owner had plenty of time to cancel my account before the transfer was made. Moreover, that manager also told me that no refund had been processed on my account, even though several days had passed since the refund promise was made. That manager told me that my best course of action would be to email the billing company of my situation and have them cancel my account, ensuring that all of this would be in writing. I forwarded the email I wrote to the billing company over to the kingsway location, who responded that because they no longer had access to my account, they could not send a refund. It was unusual that none of this was communicated to me, and they offered to send me an e-transfer. This whole ordeal I had to deal with resounded unprofessionalism and incompetence. I believe the manager at hand's name was Mani.

Expérience négative: Poor service from the manager. I was told that I could not use the 1 day free trial I signed up for from the website and would have to pay money to use the facilities. Most chain gyms allow this kind of try-before-you- buy approach, which I highly appreciate. 1 day free trial seems quite reasonable to try the facilities. Small facility as well. One positive is it wasn't busy when I went. Update: I was able to use the 1 day pass after speaking with the manager but this was after insisting since I had the pass in front of me. I was initially told that they don't do 1 day free passes and that I would have to pay $15 to use the facilities. I don't recommend AnyTime fitness AnyTime soon.

Expérience négative: Stay away from these scammers. My wife notified them about us leaving the country indefinitely and wished to close her account. Instead of respecting her wishes, they “froze” the account. After a year of not stepping foot into this gym, they were still stealing money from her account. The owner refuses to talk to us and keeps sending staff to answer our calls. Absolute scam.

Expérience négative: The whole place feels like a scam. It's crazy expensive, and since they charge every two weeks, some months you're paying 65, and some you're paying 98. Which is CRAZY. Especially for a gym that's only staffed for like 4 hours a day. And the gym itself is so small, that even when there's only 2 other people there, it still feels crowded.

Expérience négative: I have had membership in this gym since January 2018 and decided to cancel it on May 3rd. I called them and they told me it will be cancelled right away and I that I still could go there until the end of May and nothing else. Comes May 24 I see another Anytime fitness charge on my card, I called them and asked what was up. The person told me that he would check and call me back. After several hours with no reply I came in to the gym and asked him personally about the charge. He told me that if I read the agreement I would see that there is stipulation about the cancellation fee because I didn't warn them a month in advance. He also immediately asked for my rfid-pass and said that I couldn't come to the gym anymore.

Expérience négative: My son terminated the membership on Sep 2023 and this branch kept withdrawal from the my bank account. When asked, the manager declares that the account was frozen. We asked for cancelation, he agreed. Then we discovered that there is still withdrawal of the fees. Called again, another manager agreed to cancel and that was on Feb 2024. He said there should be a one-month notice, so the final withdraw should be done by March 7th. This means 2 more withdrawals. Although, this was not making sense, but we agreed to get rid of this nightmare. Now, they are still withdrawing from the account!!

It's conveniently located and away from the many homeless people ..which makes you feel safe no matter when you work out. The owner is super nice and I liked the massage chair, it was a cool little bonus that I've never seen in other AF gyms.

Started training, and the PT (Bryan) actually listened to what my goals were and adapted my workout accordingly. check your app (or clock) since it can get busy! Accessible and doesn't make you feel like you're out of place.

Expérience négative: I would leave a 0/5 if possible. Made an appointment on their website to view the gym, appointment was confirmed, show up and no one is around. Rang the doorbell several times. A customer opened it, awkward for everyone! Posted signs everywhere at the front about not letting people in so didn’t feel comfortable going in. Ridiculous. Dodging a bullet if this is how they run the business.

He continual keeps my workouts fresh and takes the time to give me exercises that strengthen my weak areas. Management at this location is also AWESOME. They remember who I am and go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I love that they are constantly adding classes. (I'm not attending those yet... but I WILL BE). Great job guys!

Expérience négative: I joined this gym Nov 2021. I am utterly frustrated and discouraged 10 months later as I have made no progress whatsoever. When I joined I was promised 2 sessions with a trainer to set goals and a workout plan. Once I paid I was told they don't have trainers but are trying to hire. I have since asked over and over again for these sessions but they never happen. If all you want is a few pieces of equipment then you may be happy here but don't expect any help. All they give you is an app with exercises to choose from. That information can be accessed for free on the internet. Don't bother responding with "email us here . .." because I have to no avail.

Expérience négative: Called last month was going to do the 7 day free trial, now at the time the guy (unknown name) said call back in 2 weeks (after work) long story, anyhow I applied for the 7 day free trial today and was told that this location is not going to honor it and that I'm only allowed a one day trial. So right there I'm frustrated but decided to check it out as there's not much for gyms in the area, so I arrive the guy was like this is here this is there, let's just say it's super small/everything is crammed together there's only 2 washrooms. Overall I wasn't impressed. Decided to do the stadium. Learn to honor your trials, very unprofessional. Just my opinion though.

Expérience positive: Great facility and location, tons of space to share. Four squat racks, a dead lift pad, and all machines you could need plus benches, yoga areas, and two heavy bags. Biggest and only problem with the location is the lack of respect and etiquette from other patrons. Every time I go in to exercise at night there is at least one area, if not more that has weights left unracked. Squat racks and dead lift bars with plates still on them, dumbbells left sitting beside benches, or sanitisers and cloths left at stations. Please, if you come to this gym help to change the "gym culture" here to be positive and care about the person who comes along after you.

Expérience négative: Not impressed with the “tour” I had today. The person that came to the door didn’t introduce himself at all. I maybe caught half a sentence here and there because he was to quite with the music be loud. He also rushed the tour didn’t quite explain each section with any sort of confidence. Over all he did not inspire confidence of any sort. Also he definitely did not show any sort of sale experience. When I asked him how often the two shower rooms are cleaned he replied with I don’t know. Not something that anyone what’s to hear. Honestly I like the idea of the 24 hr service big selling point on its own. How ever the gentleman that was on today did not show any sense of urgency or any sort of motivation. While speaking with him I felt he was only there to collect a pay cheque.

Expérience négative: I should have given them -tive ratings, I am on month to month membership I have to give them a month notice to cancel my membership which I did on 3 occasions on Dec 1st 2021 via email - which they are saying they cannot find it in their system and on Jan 1st 2022 again via email again they have same answer then I called them at 7:09 pm on Feb 1st 2022 to cancel my membership a guy was rude and anyway he confirmed my membership is canceled over the phone and will send an email no email came and today on March 1st 2022 they again deducted my money. It's been 3 months I am struggling to cancel my membership and they keep on deducting my money. Very unprofessional service and employees doesn't know how to talk.

Expérience négative: When I first joined this gym it was pretty good since it was close to my house and had all the basic necessities (very small space though). Unfortunately, when I tried to cancel my membership about a year ago due to COVID, it was the worst experience ever. I only signed a contract for 1-year from 2017-2018, and after that I was on a pay as you go basis. When I tried to end my membership the sales people told me that I couldn’t cancel because I was in a contract. When we found the paper contract I signed, it was clearly from 2017-2018, at which they still said no. They charged me for 2 more months before I went in again to talk with the manager and they finally said there’s no contract on file so she will cancel it. Please save your time and go to a better gym that won’t scam you or make you sign contracts. The managers are always changing but the personalities are the same.

Expérience négative: If you are a real athlete doing vigorous exercise this gym is most likely way to small (my living room is bigger) and they make you wear a mask while working out which if you get sweaty you know isn't something you can really do. These guys have told me they were putting my membership on hold and charged me multiple times now. Stay way. These people are very discriminatory and will be receiving a human rights complaint from me. These guys might be new to the country my grandparents fought and died for but you can't discriminate based on medical conditions. You certainly can't ask me for my medical information. My family are lawyers and this is complete discimination. When this is over enjoy the human rights complaints. Think guys. Do your research. Look at who the courts are favoring. I physically am unable to workout with a mask and I'd love to hear you guys explain why I can't workout there without disclosing why I can't. Medical information is private in Canada.

Expérience négative: Buyer beware with this gym. I’ve been a member for a year and a half and have seen some pretty shady behavior. First major red flag was that I was continually charged during the first lockdown. Because you cannot reach anybody at this location (as mentioned in other reviews), I had to actually write a letter and include a recent news article publicizing gyms that were doing this before I got a response. Now I’ve been looking to cancel my membership for non-covid reasons and it’s impossible to do so. Even though it says staffed hours are 12pm-8pm right now, nobody is ever at this location so you can’t reach anybody or go in person to cancel. The voicemail doesn’t even say the company name... To make it worse, my contract says I can contact the club or ABC Financial (the billing company they use). I reached out to ABC Financial and lo and behold they have been instructed by the club to direct all cancellation issues back to the club. I explained that isn’t in my contract and that I didn’t sign for those changes etc etc to no avail. Keep in mind I’m also on a month to month, not looking to break a year long commitment. Take a look at YMCA. Never had any issues there whatsoever (actually canceled my last membership over the phone), and they have an amazing facility BUYER BEWARE

So if you plan on using this location later in the day and want to take a shower just remember to bring your own towel. Other than that this location is alright.

Expérience négative: Small, quiet place and is open 24hrs. clean and well maintaned. was texting with the staff about my membership and i told them that i will NOT be renewing my contract and i wont be a member anymore but for no reason i am still being charged for a membership. i dont know whats happening with the staff, im unsure if they can read or not. I wasnt even being contacted after the last charge and asked if i am still a member or not. I am being charged per month but no contact towards me for not even visiting the gym during that period. Cancelled my member ship in November but am charged for December and January. Going to block the payments towards them and getting the charges disputed. Good quiet gym but horrible staff communication.

I was upset about my time and money wasted by another trainer( at another gym) but when i met Karina, her style and motivation kicked my but into high gear. They still charge us even though we gave them 60 days notice!!! Not only that, they Never advised us that we still had access to the gym!! And guess what? They won't refund us!! I am reporting them to the Consumer Investigation Unit! There is no way I will pay for a service I am not receiving!
