Expérience positive: Theres no gym etiquette with the crowd at this gym, but what would one expect for 20 bucks a month. The equipment was mostly decent

Expérience positive: I actually really enjoy going to this facility and the Bedford facility. But something I’ve been struggling with is The strong and offensive body odour of some patrons. I respect someone’s right to not want to wear deodorant, but that type of body odour only comes from inconsistent bathing. I highly encourage newcomers to please shower before coming to the gym. My stomach can’t handle that first thing in the morning

Expérience positive: Equipment is often broken, and if you go in peak hours you have to wait awhile for popular equipment. However, it is very cheap in comparison to other gyms.

Expérience fantastique: Love fit 4 less. The staff is friendly and curteous. Il have a service dog and they always welcome her.

Expérience positive: I have been waiting since last Thursday night to upgrade my pass to VIP pass and I have been told to wait for 24-48 hrs and it’s been more than 4 days and still didn’t get even an email for the process. I came tonight 5-10 mins before closing and ask her what was the issue ? She said will deal with it tmrw and I’ll have to wait 48 hrs to get my VIP access !! The question is when would i get my VIP access? Thanks

Expérience négative: Facility has sold memberships way beyond capacity. It will cost you 2+ hours to complete a 30 minute workout because of the amount of patrons, many of whom are planted on machines and benches scrolling social media for 90% of their visit. The only upside is that its half the price of goodlife, which has become a place cursed to anyone with a sense of smell. Fit4less only fares better from higher ceilings and larger spaces. Invest in a home gym setup. Commercial gyms have become impossible social hangouts for anyone without a grasp on the english language, particularly outside of early or very late hours. RIP

Expérience négative: Watched a dude harass a girl and film her while working out. Staff told her she hurt his feelings when she told him to leave her alone and asked her to stay away for a week. I'm switching to Planet Fitness. If you're a woman looking for a gym look elsewhere. Staff won't help you.

Expérience négative: Worst experience ever, this was our first day at this gym, we wanted to use massage chair over there, and not even a single staff member was there at reception to activate the massage chair. What’s the point of paying for black card if I can’t even access any of the black card amenities. I’ld say they lack managerial skills at this location.

Expérience fantastique: This is a well equipped clean gym with free weights, trx, kettlebells, and resistance and cardio machines. Staff are friendly and hard working. I have been going to different gyms for many years and this is the first gym I have witnessed the staff spending the majority of their time thoroughly cleaning machines and the whole facility and providing client service.

Expérience négative: I buy their membership because it’s 24/7 open but know they going to change their timings. Know they only open till 12 even on weekends. Its really sucks if they didn’t change it i will revoke my membership

Expérience négative: This is the most discussing gym I have ever been too . Fit for less seems to think it’s acceptable to give you a dirty facility just because you pay a cheaper member ship . It is not acceptable . We are paying for a service and cannot even use basic Amenities like the bathroom because they are so dirty . Complains go no where and nothing gets done . Public health needs to be notified immediately . Absolutely a pig stop . I am canceling my member ship .

Expérience positive: Great assortment of equipment, I don't go there anymore because I switched gyms, but usually always packed to the brim, at night time it's also ridiculously hot and the smell isnt great, sometimes hard to breathe

Expérience négative: I go to this gym almost daily and for the past couple of months in particular, the showers are just cold or broken. I drive from out of town to workout on my way to work, so I rely on that basic service. There is no where to check online if the showers are broken online, and they periodically work (yes during staffed hours). So if you like a miserable cold surprise to start your mornings, this is the gym for you. Otherwise the staff are lovely, the gym is mostly clean and overall an ok place to workout. But, 1 star cause this has been an issue for a while and just isn't getting fixed.

Expérience négative: I'm not of complaining, but I'm really mad. I canceled my membership January! And I'm still charged to this day. Around march I noticed it and i called and they said that apparently they'll still charge me for 2 months after canceling" which for more ABSURD it is, I said "sure! I didn't know" but today April 8th, I checked I got charged yesterday. And I'm just done with it, I'm calling tomorrow and hopefully they'll answer (which is already a big problem for costumer service). And look, you guys have a good gym, good equipments, clean, nice staff, but this really drove me insane, and made all my good time in the gym be forgotten. If I knew what I would go through, I wouldn't have done it.

Expérience positive: Old equipment and chnaging rooms seems old designed as well.. staff keeps it clean but still U can’t keep equipment from rusting. Things just need to be replaced including washroom tiles and doors.

Expérience négative: U pay for what u get, people who work here are only here for the social aspect, no enforcing rules like putting weights back, people do not care about the next person to use machine and staff don't care to clean up either. Since I've been a member here I have re arranged weight racks and cleaned up attachments off the floors more. Never have I seen an employee move a muscle to keep the work space clean and safe.

Expérience fantastique: One of the best gyms around HRM ! The staff work hard to ensure all equipment kept clean will working during staffed hrs and also a quick follow up after unstaffed hours. All staff also are constantly keeping cleaning stations full and topped up for the safety of all members while using the facilities. Thank you for this, it’s greatly appreciated!

Expérience fantastique: Amazing Gym with literally world class Perks. The price is unbelievable for the black membership! This location is one of the best in Canada. It has way more new Equipment, facility capacity and extras. Love this place and location. I wish other locations had the same.

Expérience négative: Started going back after COVID had almost shut it completely down. Wasn't too bad as when we go it's early in the morning. However it seems that now you're rushed off machines. Sat down to use one upstairs and not even into my second set and had people standing over me after I said was just a rest between sets. Finally just left. Hard to get a workout in when you're feeling rushed. Will definitely be looking into PF once they open. At least they are staffed 24/7 so you can use all the benefits to their black card.

Expérience négative: We started coming here a year ago. We were impressed with the facilities and cleanliness at that time. Over the last year, things have gone completely downhill. Equipment is not maintained. A lot of pieces are broken and/or missing parts. Paper towel machines and cleaning solution bottles sit empty for hours. The place just generally feels neglected. One major pet peeve of mine is that they turn off the water to the women’s showers when there are no staff on site. I thought that this was due to slip and fall injury risks, but I have learned from my husband that the men’s showers are on all the time, regardless of staffing. This feels incredibly sexist and unnecessarily paternalistic. Looking forward to the opening of the new PF in Woodlawn. Will definitely be making the switch.

Expérience positive: At first glance, its a pretty busy and intimidating place. CONS: As you walk in there are "doors" with which you must scan your card to go through (as a member) however there are horizontal bars locking you in as you push yourself through as their is only room for one person at a time. As this is the main enterence and exit it begs me to wonder what happens if there were a fire and people need to exit quickly. Upon asking staff, I did not receive an answer. The staff are only on site for limited hours, so if outside those hours you need help there is no one to do so. There is no water fountian, so dont forget your water bottle. You can buy their water but it is expensive. If you scan your card to get in and forget something, you cannot scan to come back in for a spicific amount of time. It is BUSY. As its 24 hours the peak times make it impossible to use the equipment, often waiting for long periods. The room to do stretching is very small. They dont give you much of an orientation on where anything is. PROS: Its open 24 hours a day. The black card is shareable so long as its only being used by one person at a time. The black card costs under $30 a month. There is an enture section with hydeo and water massage chairs. Everyone from every walk of life goes there, all shapes abd sizes. The changing room has a sauna, showers and lockers. There is lots of fitness equiptment including cardio/weights/freeweights and a place too stretch/warm up/cool down.

Expérience négative: Poor layout, worst maintenance, ignorant crowd! Gym is full of half broken equipment set way too close together surrounded by people bathed in cologne.

Expérience fantastique: I've been to the Portland Street location a few times since joining. There are always people of all ages and fitness levels around. Everyone seems very friendly, staff and paying members. A few different cicuits to do, lots of free weights and tons of machines. During staffed hours there is always staff members walking around cleaning. I've seen reviews on the cleanliness during unstaffed hours. I'm not sure how people expect a 24/7 gym to be fully staffed 24 hours a day while only costing $8 bi-weekly. Maybe, stop complaining about the gym and blame the disgusting people who treat the place like their personal garbage can when no one is looking ‍♀️ So far, the manager has gone out of her way to be kind & accommodating to me and all of the staff are friendly and helpful

Expérience fantastique: I find the staff very friendly. They work hard to keep the gym clean. Any time there is garbage around it is definitely from the clients. I have seen people dropping litter around. There are alot of people at the gym so wear and tear of equipment is definitely going to happen. All in all a happy experience.

Expérience fantastique: Due to the flooding and temporary closure of the Bedford location I have tried out several locations. By far I am loving the Portland location. It is a large gym and has great equipment including TRX, Kettlebells and slam balls which many other locations do not have. I met the manager - she is always walking the floor and she is very approachable. The other staff I have talked to are also very pleasant.

Expérience négative: Location, variety of gym equipment and hours are very convenient however, if you ever need to contact customer support or cancel your membership you're doomed. You will never receive an email response back, the location is 24/7 but even during business hours representatives don't pick up the phone and you will automatically be rented for a new yearly contract without any communication. Very poor customer service.

Expérience positive: Love fit4less at Portland street. Have all the weights and machines you need, and the new black card room is mint. I’m only wondering if the sauna will ever make a come back? It’s an amenity that’s truly missed.

Expérience négative: First time going yesterday. I had difficulty getting through the spinning door. A staff member looked at me, walked to an office and audibly stated she was going to “kill herself” before finally assisting me in getting through the door. I’ll continue to use the gym as I love the set up, however I think based on many reviews your gyms hours and equipment are the only good thing. I would like to be able to feel welcomed-especially upon my first visit.

Expérience positive: Been going here for the 24hr benefit that suits my schedule. Great selection and quantity of equipment. The 2 times I have dealt with staff they were very rude and I almost did not return but with limited 24hr gym selection I had no choice.

Expérience négative: They do not answer their phone what do ever and I’m fairly sure this is on purpose. At one point, it was even disconnected. Have been trying to call to cancel my membership for weeks now with no answer. Have seen from other reviews that I need to go into the gym to cancel, even though it’s specified on the website that I should call (?) Makes 0 sense. I have not been going there as I have been running outside and will be going back to school, which has a gym. Really frustrating and terrible customer service.

Expérience fantastique: So far I’ve experienced Fit4Less as a good investment. Staff might not always be greeting us at the doors but that is also kinda cool when we just walk in with our card like it’s no one business. It’ll be great to get the sana working again. A few more cable machine that we don’t have would be great. I feel a thorough cleaning of the bathrooms can be of more often. Overall I get an amazing workout at our Fit4Less. I ask this because I go before work so 4am ... Once I completed my workout I went to shower (part of my BC) ..taps are shut off!! Can only use during business hours ...same as the massage chairs ...the 1/2 off drinks ....the tanning beds ..... So I should probably downgrade to suit my schedule ?

My friend’s card didn’t got scan because i held door for 3-4 seconds while he scanned. I didn’t know that. I just politely requested him to let my friend in but he was very unprofessional and rude to us. And he said I won’t let you in next time if this happens.

Expérience négative: Not a great selection of equipment, they equient they do have doesn't have the proper attachments/accessories, equipment is constantly broken or under maitenance. They just removed a large workout area and replaced it with a black card area. The employees don't do anything when you inform them of broken equipment. During covid when every other machine was shut down for distancing, they had 1 worming elliptical machine. I notified the staff several times that the machines were broken and they never did anything about it. I understand that this is a low cost gym but I would be better off working out at home.

Expérience positive: This is a good gym BUT THE STAFF IS ALWAYS LATE. There are folks looking to use the black card amenities every day at 7am and the staff doesn't arrive on time. We are awaiting staff arrival as I write this, they're 20 mins late. This is a regular occurrence.

How do I know who works here??? HOW DO I KNOW WHO WORKS HERE WHEN I WAIT 25 MINS TO SEE A FACE terrible customer service. Second time I have been here... first time I waited 5 mins but a female worker told my friend that we were allowed in without the goggles and they dont have any to sell.... Update: All staff are snarky. Rude. They're talking to their friends, with their friends giving me rude looks. I have never felt more uncomfortable at a business...

Expérience négative: It’s been my go to gym for a year now. I like working out here given the 24hr benefit at an affordable price. Have a few machine that are broken and it’s been well over a month that they are not repaired. Annual cleanliness fees are charged to use, but the gym is very dirty. Machines are not cleaned. I guess what we pay, is what we get here lol

Expérience positive: Perfect gym if you come at the right time. Can be a little busy otherwise. Has all the machines I like, and I don't feel judged when I go. Haven't been able to track anyone down that can help explain some of the machines yet.

Expérience positive: Staff is not always available at front desk .. normally they are in staff room for long periods of time or on the gym floor. once I forgot my Gym shoes in my car, had to go back out through the revolving doors when I came back I had to wait about 25 minutes to be let back in by another nice member. :(

Expérience négative: Customer experience was good up until I called trying to understand charges to my account for cancellation periods. Brandon.K had absolutely no time for my questions and was extremely unprofessional with me on the phone. He was making a very strong point to not want to help me and when I asked him for the next person to speak to, he laughed in a sarcastic way and rambled off the email address way too fast for anyone to catch. For someone to not care about every avenue of his job, he should maybe consider a job outside of customer service, maybe in the trash industry. That’s the level of customer service he provided for me today.
