The boot camp classes are tough but will whip you into shape - Trainer Jared is funny as hell. Trainer Josh handled my personal training and was awesome! Got big results in a short period of time. Hats off to the people running that place.

Expérience positive: TL;DR: It's awesome, you should go! (There is an additional "gym improvement fee" on every membership though) I found myself in Lethbridge for a few months during the summer and I'm glad I found TGITN. The staff were all sincerely pleasant, the facility very clean, and well equipped. It may seem small at a glance but the facility's space is well organized for any user to make the most out of their workout! The only thing that I wasn't particularly fond of was a hidden "gym improvement fee" which I was not made aware of when I signed up, and was charged when I had to then cancel my membership after a couple months (moved away). One would think that fee could be incorporated into the total monthly cost for members by averaging expectant fees across the year versus active members. It probably would have been fine if I had been aware of it initially, but it appeared upon cancellation. I think if that had been communicated more effectively the gym would (and probably should) deserve 5-stars. It could be just a communication error that happened to me, alas that's what my experience is.

Expérience fantastique: As a very recent member to the Gym In The North I have found all staff very friendly, helpful, and understanding of my goals. The facility is very clean and organized, equipment is well maintained with plenty of room to do a one hour, full body workout, and not have to wait for space or equipment to use. It has been an enjoyable experience.

I started with the 6 week program and I fell in love with the atmosphere and people there! Everyone is so nice, the gym is so clean and I never felt unwelcome! The boot camp is it's own amazing beast. But I want to give a personal shout out to my personal trainer, Katherine, who taught me so much beyond how to use the gym equipment. She has been a fountain of information and given me so many great tips to achieve and maintain my goals. I am forever grateful to have stumbled onto the challenge and am so excited for what the future has to offer. THANK YOU GYM IN THE NORTH!

Expérience fantastique: I signed up for the 6 week challenge, and I absolutely love it. I love the communication, i love the support, along with the help you receive from everyone there. I absolutely recommend the classes Braeson runs, and Jared the personal trainer is absolutely amazing. The only downside I can find is they all sound like fortune cookies.

It's been great to get to know other members as we generally workout together every day. Trainer Joel is fantastic. He is knowledgeable and passionate about each person fitness and fitness level. My wife joins daily while she is in her second trimester. Joel is proactive is providing alternative exercises that best support her. The gym is lucky to have someone with his passion.

Expérience fantastique: I’m a gym newbie and started here less than two weeks ago. I love that they set you up with a program and your first day includes free training. I booked my first three sessions with a trainer to walk me through everything, Kathrine is wonderful. Facility is clean and incredibly welcoming, with skookum equipment. Every step so far has been an excellent experience. I was nervous to start and am already craving going. Thank you for giving me the confidence to initially come and the excitement to see what I’m capable of in the future :)

Expérience fantastique: The Gym In the North is a really awesome gym! It's sort of a crossfit meets commercial gym with the best of both worlds. There's tons of accessory equipment, but also some cool powerlifting/crossfit/strong man equipment that you would never find at a commercial gym. It's rarely busy enough that I have to wait long for equipment. My only small comment is that it does get a bit toasty in the gym (not sure if I'm just a really sweaty gal)

I'm completely new to the gym, the equipment, right work outs, what to do before going, etc. So I booked 4, 1 on 1 PT sessions with Katherine and she's honestly amazing. She listened to my goals and concerns and made a workout plan for me that I repeat, and so far it's working great! For the sessions, she taught me the proper posture, where all the equipment is, how to use it, and motivated me. As for the gym overall, it has a nice atmosphere, very secure to leave your belongings out, and is very clean. Overall, I would recommend The Gym In The North to anyone looking for a gym here in Lethbridge!

Expérience fantastique: I LOVE this gym and I am not a gym loving person. I have been taking the HIIT30 classes with Joel for 5+ months now and I am loving them. He is extremely encouraging, pushes you to do your best and he will provide a modification for you if you need one. He truly cares about each one of his class participants! This gym also has a great overall atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly and lots of space to do your workouts even if it is busy. You will not be disappointed !

The gym has a good layout and many good pieces of equipment and is always clean and orderly. If you are in north lethbridge, there is only one gym you'll need. The Gym In The North.

Expérience fantastique: This is seriously my favourite gym in the city. Extremely spacious even during busy times there is more than enough room without feeling crowded. The atmosphere is clean which is important to us, everyone is so friendly. The staff are always available to answer any questions and make you feel so comfortable. I also love that machine tutorials are available through the website which is extremely helpful to a gym newbie like myself. I’ve been to plenty of gyms in this city and usually just feel unwelcome or overwhelmed without receiving help or assistant so the Gym in the North is a very welcoming change.

Expérience fantastique: Being to a lot of different kinds of gyms, this is by far my favorite. The equipment is what made me switch to start with, but as well as the staff. The friendliest people by far and make you feel welcome, whether you are new to going to the gym or someone who has been going for a long while. This place is literally what a gym should be; for everyone! They as well encourage you to work hard and those who are working out are also just as welcoming as the staff. I will say it does feel a little busy for my liking, but that doesn't in particular mean it deserves any less, I just need to find a less busy time to go via traffic wise with people using the equipment.

Expérience fantastique: Was skeptical to join because i don't have a 'gym body' but i have felt very comfortable here and Derek (Trainer) was super friendly and helpful in putting together a great workout plan. Great place to work out no matter what your fitness level is.

Expérience négative: Friend invited me to try the gym while they had a $5 drop in (promotion at time) I had created a account with card info for billing as well as signed all paperwork needed to workout at the gym. On the night we decided to go they claimed I had never done these steps due to not being able to find my account they threatened my friend with a tailgating fee due to this continued to workout and sure enough the next day they must have called the IT guy for help cause I had been charged the drop in fee as intended I would never trust this gym with billing me if I was a client not to mention the customer service is the the lowest of low playing the victom when there are at fault how can they expect to deal with un happy customers in the future this was truly disgusting

Expérience fantastique: This gym is fantastic! There is a comfortable, non intimidating vibe from all the members as they always have a smile for you when you happen to look their way. The place is spotless, thanks to everyone doing they're part to keep it that way. The gym has TVs on with various weight lifting related sports that I enjoy and find motivating while resting between lifts. This place rocks!

Expérience fantastique: Could easily be called "strength edge in the south". Top tier training facility with only the best Rogue&Elitefts equipment. You can tell when the gym owner is passionate about training and I can't even fathom the up front cost, this is some serious gear. Only gym where I've ever seen a belt squat, reverse hyper, and wheeled prowler sleds. This place is the antidote to commercial gyms.

Expérience négative: I was just served a sponsored ad on Facebook from this gym boasting about not following AHS COVID Guidelines by not requiring COVID-19 Vaccine Status. If you value your health, stay away.

Expérience fantastique: I am still super new to the gym, and have never even actually worked out myself (just started in Dec 2021), but my perspective so far has been pretty awesome here. They offer plenty of resources if you are willing to seek them out (videos, free consultations, etc) which makes not knowing what you are doing feel like a non-issue. The people who come here from what I have experienced so far are either very friendly and outgoing, or focused on themselves meaning you don't feel even remotely judged. So whether you are more reserved or more outgoing I think personally this gym can accomodate most people. Which huge props to the owners and staff in that case.

Expérience fantastique: The gym has a great set up and the hiit 30 classes are amazing. The coach is very knowledgeable and corrects form so that you are doing it safely and effectively. Love that it is a 24/7 gym for those who work different hours. Definitely would recommend!
