Expérience négative: Employees are alright.. could do with less HEAT.. I get ita winter and the Employees are near the door but give them a sweater.. people working out don't wanna be sweating while they sit.. it's only when a certain Employee seems to be on the schedule but I'm not gonna name said employee. But it would be greatly appreciated if we turn the heat off theres enough people sweating to heat the place
Expérience négative: Can't sign up to this gym because I don't use a credit card, Flat out refuse to use one . Even if i have good credit, a mortgage I still don't use a credit card. They must be missing a lot of people by this lousy policy im very surprised they ask for this, this day in age.
Hi Luis, most of our memberships require a checking account to draft fees every month and a secondary form of payment, such as a debit/credit card. This just helps you avoid missing any payments and getting stuck with late fees associated with lost/stolen credit cards. You can contact your local club directly with any questions. We hope this clears things up.

Thay should make at least 1 day on the weekend thats 24 hours like there is almost no point to continue...well connected in lindsay will not recommend it solely on the hours its very sad this used to be a great gym!

Expérience négative: Loved this gym pre covid. Post covid it’s gone down hill. It’s no longer 24/7. No longer has a scale in the change rooms. No big clock on the wall. No more pizza & bagel days. Also no longer have the keychain fobs. Staff is nice for the most part and they have more equipment now. It’s just definitely lacking in the little details which used to make this place so enjoyable. 2star rating because I know the potential this gym did have. If I was new it would likely be a 4-5 star.

Expérience positive: Im a regular at planet fitness. I like PF because of its routinely cleaned facilities, friendly staff and variety of equipment. I had expressd my disposition with the gym going back on their 24 hour service and closing over night on the weekends. I had also called out the social media rep copy and pasting the same response to everyone with the same issue. I was suprised when a manager of the gym reached out and simply assured me that the decision to go back on their hours was above the heads of the local management team and that they are trying to go back to regular hours. He assured me that despite my negative review all comments about the changes are being collected and reviewed. Hopefully everybody making noise about how unfair the new hours are and possibly boycotting PF would make higher ups consider restoring the gym back to open 24/7. I'll consider restoring my membership and posting a 5 star review once the gym returns to open 24 hours like they had advertised.
Expérience négative: Loved this gym, took a break from it due to personal reasons. Usually visited at 2-4am, as it fit in my schedule then. Just got back to the gym to find out that it isn't even open! 30 minute drive to get here, and it's not even open. Looked at the "new" hours and I will now be able to attend 2 times a week with this new garbage schedule. Who the heck can visit during these hours?! Goes from 24 hours, down to opening and closing at 7?! Absolutely the dumbest thing that they have done. Losing another member, and I will absolutely be spreading the word.

Expérience négative: The 24/7hour was the main reason I go to this gym so I could go to the gym before work. I know they're individually owned but this is inconvenient. I don't see my slashed discount to go with the slashed hours.

Expérience positive: Overall, this gym is pretty mid. It's big enough, and has lot's of equipment, but it's lacking in certain areas. The gym DOESN'T have a sauna, jacuzzi or a pool, which for me are big drawbacks right off the bat. The lockeroom's are small, too many half sized lockers and not enough full sized lockers. Very few showers. Also, the gym recently just went from a 24/7 operation, to a restricted hours operation, which is another major drawback. You can put your membership on hold if you're going to be away for a while, but they don't tack your time away, onto your annual membership, which is to say putting your membership on hold is completely pointless, as they charge you for being there anyway (even when you're not, which is supposed to be the point of putting a membership on hold!) Pros: * Plenty of space * Lots of equipment (especially cardio) * The gym is cleaned regularly (every day) * Staff are friendly for the most part * Membership prices are affordable Cons: * Lack of free wights (bench press, squat rack etc.) * The gym has a large volume of equipment, but there are plenty of pieces (especially cardio) that are redundant, which means there's less space to put some of the equipment that they are missing (Pec fly machine and free weights especially) * Small lockeroom's and lack of full sized lockers * Lack of showers * NO sauna, jacuzzi, pool * Reduced hours from 24/7 to restricted hours of operation

Expérience négative: The staff are all great. However, the ownership must be out of touch with reality. Closing a 24 hour gym at 7pm is unacceptable. When people start to cancel their memberships in droves, if they havent started already, dont be supprised. And if its an operational cost issue, sell the place to competent owners who can afford to keep the lights on all night.

I mine as well cancel my membership to pay the extra $20 bucks and get a membership in bobcaygeon and stop driving to Lindsay Edit: response to your response. Well I suggest h go back to 24 hours everyday I already know four people who have or are cancelling and three who chose spectrum over PF because of this and I’m sure there’s gonna be lots more, your business is gonna take a big hit this won’t benefit u

Expérience négative: They changed the hours of operation and now they don't open until 7am on the weekend. So now back to spectrum. I think they will loose a few members over this, poor choice by management.

Expérience négative: I had been a member at planet fitness for about 4 years but just cancelled my membership today. The reason why I cancelled it is because there is another gym in town (Spectrum) that offers more free weights and a women’s section which is appealing to me. The yearly membership after taxes at Spectrum is $360 which is cheaper than my planet fitness membership. That being said I still hadn’t made up my mind because I genuinely enjoyed going to planet fitness as I’ve been going for so long and the staff are always so nice. Today after my work out I went to the front counter to enquire what happens to my yearly membership I paid if I decided to switch gyms. The member service representative “Neil” responded rudely telling me “the company doesn’t do refunds, you’re not getting your money back”. I responded I wasn’t sure if there was a prorated amount you get back that’s why I was asking. I then walked out to my car put my stuff in it and decided that experience alone was enough for me to come back seeing as he acted like I was such an idiot for asking. I walked back in and said I was going to cancel and he said “perfect I can do that” and proceeded to pull up my account. He mentioned that I have “really great pricing” that I wouldn’t get back if I left and I responded I wasn’t planning on coming back and I guess he thought laughing was the appropriate response. At no point did he bother to even ask me why I was cancelling so I volunteered the information in attempt to make the transaction less tense/awkward not that it helped. He proceeded to cancel my account and tell me I could access the gym until the 16th in case I wanted to “use the treadmills”. I almost laughed at the ignorance but refrained. I’m not going to fault the gym itself because overall I had a great experience and like I said every other staff member I’ve interacted is always great. It sucks my time at PF ended like that but I think that the individuals they hire should understand that if they don’t actually enjoy customer service then they should choose a different job because at the end of the day members pay for their wage and if you’re rude to enough people it’s going to get around and bad customer service can really hurt a business.

Expérience positive: Nice clean gym. Great black card perks. My only issue is the singing karaoke king whos in the black card 'spa area' every morning around 9:15am singing at the top of his lungs.

Pros: - friendly staff - convenient hours & location - variety of cardio and strength conditioning machines - affordable prices - clean gym & change rooms Cons: - limited free weights - no squat rack - layout of gym feels like one big box - peak hours leads the gym to be very packed with even more limited options for strength training

Expérience négative: There is no olympic 20kg bar ( missing deadlift, squats, barbell press). Smith machines are not enough.

Expérience positive: The Lindsay location is clean and staff is friendly. Planet fitness is mainly cardio equipment. The free weight and lifting section is small so be sure to give yourself extra time for a session if it's busy. There are water bottle stations which is a plus. But not many mirrors and no body weight scale.
Thank you for your feedback. Here at Planet Fitness, we recognize that the number on the scale can be deceptive. Sometimes making you feel that you’re not making progress even when you are! We don't want our PF family to ever feel discouraged so we're keeping it in the closet for now. After all, your weight is affected by far more than just your fat or muscle!

Expérience négative: The one star is for the front desk and the inability of the I assume assistant manager. I think the staff at the desk are more concerned with entertaining themselves than looking after the clients. They are young and the training of the assistant manager should be reviewed to ensure that client satisfaction takes president over their friends needs. I am apprehensive on approaching them directly and blame upper management for not seeing this.

Expérience positive: The downside of Planet Fitness is the length of time to get machines fixed. For example the Rotary Torso machine has been broken for about 3 months and there are others. At GoodLife machines were fixed within 2 weeks. Other than that very clean environment and staff such as Tracie and Jesse get friendly, polite and helpful

Expérience négative: I biked to the gym today for a workout but sadly when I went to lock up my bike I realized I had left my bike lock in my car. When I asked if it was ok to leave my bike inside, the desk clerk told me “no you can go buy another lock at Canadian Tire and leave it outside”. Sad because there was plenty of space out of everyone’s way to leave it for an hour or so.

Expérience négative: Older staff are quite rude and not very friendly. Only been here a handful of times and they have not been very personable. Younger staff however make me feel quite welcome and I have no complaints towards them. Just would love to be able to go to the gym without having some staff be extremely rude.

Expérience négative: Middle age staff have a problem with leaving helmets at the counter. Seems a little unreasonable when they don’t fit in the lockers. Otherwise younger staff are all super nice and make the customer experience very positive.

Expérience positive: I found the gym to be super clean and modern. Lots of equipment and it wasn't busy. They preach about a judgement free zone but if you wear a muscle shirt/tank top you'll be quickly judged and asked to cover up. The whole lunk alarm is outright hilarious and absurd.

Expérience négative: Better change the slogan to “ judgement zone” now. Been going here for 3 years, and all of a sudden I’m not allowed due to them enforcing their illegal mandate.
Expérience fantastique: Great Location. I come in late at night and the place is always spotless and quiet. Staff are very helpful and friendly, and keep the equipment clean and sanitized.

Expérience négative: Go in to cancel and they won't give back the yearly membership they charged me for 15 days ago... Like it's a pandemic and they won't let you cancel over the phone. That's the way to get you to keep paying. When I went in to cancel there was a guy fixing a machine.. Maskless... Neither did anyone on a machine. Clearly they don't think highly of safety. Trust me you will completely regret signing up.

As outlined in your membership agreement, there are two ways to cancel: Visit your home club in person to sign a cancellation form, or send a signed letter to your home club requesting cancellation. Expérience positive: Great location and staff, gravely disappointed there are 0 announcements regarding the passport mandate. Though I have been led to believe it will be implemented. Your clean safe judgment free zone is now segregating the community, nothing makes me feel more judged or less safe. Disappointed to hear a stand will not be taken against this at a gym promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Expérience fantastique: I have belonged to many gyms over the years. We recently located to the area and I had heard great reviews from friends who were members. Best gym I have ever belonged to. The front staff goes out of their way to greet everyone, the gym is sparkling clean, and they are doing an awesome job making sure people stay safe during covid. Highly recommend.

Expérience négative: Just got off the phone with the current Assistant Manager trying to find out why my account was being billed since August during the Global Covid 19 outbreak. I was billed $44.89 on Aug 25th, $44.99 on Sept 9th and another $24.85 on Sept 22nd, not sure how that works out to $20.00 a month but I was given a proper explanation, something about double months being billed. I told him I was very surprised to hear I was being billed for something I am using during our current Global crisis and asked if they would refund and his answer without hesitation was, No, with attitude. I made a comment and stated maybe they should have contacted their membership and he said he would have been on the phone for a year, not sure about you but a simple email to all members asking if we were returning would have been considerate during this crisis. They have No problem sending me all types of marketing emails... I advised him to cancel my membership and I would never Go back to any Planet Fitness again. I understand many people pay for monthly memberships and never go to the gym but I was going mostly on a daily basis prior to covid 19, until they closed their doors. Lost over 100lbs... I am not even going back to my office, nor am I socially going out and around due to this Global pandemic, I would have thought a Corporate Company like Planet Fitness would have been more concerned about their membership, but I guess not. Got to Love the reoccurring revenue of monthly memberships. $$$ Its too bad...

Expérience négative: Visiting this gym 3 times a week for over a year, until March had "mixed" experiences yet recent visit prompted this review of Planet Fitness Planet Fitness (herein after referred to as PF) impression is that PF does not actually want you to come to the gym and over promise and under deliver Planet Fitness has never fulfilled my expectation of commitment to cleanliness, and safety.PF does not designs their gyms for cleanliness. (Example 1 urinal in men's change room which is the height, perhaps, for a child. Imagine what one has to do to avoid a constant mess. PF has never have change it). The new "changes", beyond reduced equipment, including a flag where the hand sanitizer and disinfectant is. In the same spots they were before with the disinfectant. Not that big of a change. I have made suggestions before with safety equipment and equipment not functioning correctly which came with resistance and, from action, apparent little concern, for our safety. Eventually change came with persistence PF strength was in the amount of machines which now has been reduced. Reviewing the gym I noticed they have taken away equipment or limited equipment and reduced hours, and therefore reduced service, but not reduced the price. The dollar amount is not much of the concern. It is that they have taken money without asking or notifying and further it is not isolated. Therefore they should, at least, refund all the people they have failed to notify. My membership was up in March. When I went in to see whether the gym was open now. I found out that i had already been open since July. Which I did not recall having been notified. Upon reviewing my emails I noticed PF had sent out an email stating they were opening back in July. However it made no mention of continuing my membership. I find out they have been charging me and PF has never notified me If its price you are looking for well this is that. Even with diligence persistence and action. For me it came with a cost I was not, aware of This has been my perspective and experience. Look out for each other and the equipment. Expérience positive: Lindsay PF like other PF locations do an admirable job to keep the facility clean. However, my experience is that the clientele do not take the time to clean the equipment they use. This is no longer exceptable during these COVID times. This applies to Lindsay, ON, Smyrna, TN and Weslaco, TX. I am not sure how PF staff can correct this type of situation.

Expérience fantastique: Love this gym. It’s quiet and very clean. Staff always available to help and answer questions. Lots of machines to choose from You leave feeling happy and good about yourself. Always staff around to make sure their is disinfectant and paper towels available and the equipment is always well maintained. Highly recommend this gym. 5 plus star

Expérience fantastique: Planet Fitness came to Linsay at an opportune time for me. In recent years I received a quadruple heart bypass and two new knees. Also being inactive I have put on extra weight along with weak muscles. The challenge was to reduce weight, tone up muscles and cardiac endurance. Expérience fantastique: I love the atmosphere, the employees, the equipment and of course the massage chairs!!! There isn't one thing I do not like about it. When I come into the gym. Staff makes me feel very welcomed and helps me workout better. When I leave they greet me out aswell. I've recommended this gym to lots of people and I've brought a few different people aswell! Keep up the amazing work!

Expérience fantastique: This is my gym. Unique concept for a gym. You have all age (most over 18 ....whew) ranges and alot of equipment. Everyone wipes down the equipment after use, so you dont have to worry about germs being passed on. This place is open 24 hours with affordable memberships rates. Tanning beds and massage chairs. (for black card membership only) Staff is friendly. This gym was designed with you and your changing schedule. You get in shape for a fraction of the regular gym membership, and you decide your workout time. Convenience and working out finally come together for the consumer. Just go check it out. No more excuses....come on !
