Expérience fantastique: I was hesitant when I first joined Anytime Fitness and started training again; but from the start Bronwyn's approach has been motivating and encouraging. I've been training with Bronwyn for 2 years now and she has helped me achieve so many goals in my time training with her. From the start, she took time to understand my goals, fitness level and any limitations I may of had, then designed a plan that was challenging and fun to do. She has helped me work on my strength, endurance and confidence in the gym. She showed me how to use equipment I was to intimidated to use and now I use them in workouts all the time. She also knows how to make every training session effective and enjoyable and always cheers me on when I get a new PR! If anyone is looking for a trainer who will lunge them towards success, I can't recommend Bronwyn enough! As for the gym - its in such a good location and has a good variety of equipment to suit many different types of work outs, and they have recently added 4 new machines. The only issue I have come across is that the toilets with the showers tend to always have wet floors which is a pain when its busy and you're trying to change without wetting your socks or taking too long.

I was also told that I can cancel anytime. I lost my job and wanted to cancel, after about 3 months, they simply wouldn't let me. I tried to reach out multiple times to cancel they still wouldn't let me, telling me the only way I can cancel is if I moved 30km from the gym or if I have an injury, which is absurd. So I just told them that I will close my bank account because I don't have money to pay for it and that's that. So they sent me to credit collections! thanks a lot! Worst gym to exist. Don't sign up

Expérience fantastique: It had been many years since I had been to a gym so I wanted to refresh my technique and make sure I wasn’t doing anything incorrectly. I worked out with Bronwyn and she was amazing at gently correcting my methods. She seemed to know exactly how hard to push me so that I got a rewarding workout without being to sore the next day. The gym was very clean and well stocked. I will be coming here for my workouts whenever I am in Victoria.

As someone who didn't know his goal and the proper lifting I requested to have a session with Bronwyn and I am glad I made that decision. She cares for and performs safe effective exercise programs that not only make me improve my form but boost my confidence. Her knowledge of biology and physical training makes it comforting. Besides she is such a fun person to be around with. I highly recommend to train with Bronwyn. It is truly a beautiful experience.

Expérience fantastique: I just moved to Victoria and needed a drop in today. I was a bit apprehensive. But the rep I got was absolutely wonderful. She spoke softly and was very patient with me. She walked me through all my options. If it wasn't for Mercury's wonderful customer service I probably would of missed out on their contract discount. In the end she saved me money, she made me feel comfortable, and she wasn't pushy. Im a happy client of anytime fitness now and it's only cause of Mercury.

My flexibility has significantly changed since joining. Some days it hard to walk after Kasra is done with me. I appreciate everything he has done changing my life for the better.

Expérience négative: I had an issue as I signed up for an 18 month period, when I received the contract with the total I was to pay in 18 months and I called to ask about the specific charges as the amount seemed very high to me, I wanted some clarification. I also asked about the cancellation policy but never said I wanted to cancel. Also, the representative told me I had to go to the gym to activate or cancel the membership and that I had 7 days to cancel. I showed up the next day at the gym to activate the membership and use the gym, but I was told my membership was cancelled. I never asked to cancel the membership. It should be noted that no one sent me an email saying that my membership had been cancelled, to let me know and avoid me having to show up in person. It seems that you wanted to tell me directly and see my reaction and even feel pleasure in telling me that the membership was cancelled, which seems very twisted and immature to me. Josh told me that when someone is unhappy, the gym's policies are to cancel the membership. When I spoke to Josh, he also told me why I wanted to sign up if I was so unhappy, but I wasn't unhappy, I was just asking questions over the phone to get someone to explain to me why the membership went from $27 biweekly to $1314 total. I told her that I'm just asking questions and that it doesn't mean I'm unhappy. Also, no email was sent informing me of the cancellation. To have my membership cancelled without my consent just because I called to ask about the price and then to be told in person that if I ask questions it means I'm unhappy and I shouldn't join makes me think that your gym has a terrible work environment. It's worth noting that I still haven't received the $131 fee that I was charged for joining the gym. Answering to your response. You said that my voice in the recording made it clear I want to cancel. That statement is totally unprofessional and childish, if a company dont accept a potential client to ask questions and give improvement advices as I did when I said I wanted to complain regarding the cancellation that I did not requested, because I did not want to happen to anyone. Your company is not focusing in client satisfaction, is focusing in getting easy money from clients that don´t speak out. The god thing is that nowadays everybody can share their experiences with businesses and everybody can read them without sensuring free speech as you wanted to do with me cancelling the membership. As far as the company is concerned, they got their "delinquent" fees months ago after ignoring my pleas for help with their 3rd party billing company and getting my membership fixed. They basically GHOSTED me, sent me to collections, and at some point had the audacity to reach out and offer me training but not check to see if I was even an active club member? This company has no respect for you as a client, fyi. ALSO no one explained this. You sent me a default copy paste of a denial. I've been dealing with Anytime since 2020, and this is the first time I've ever been bullied by a corporation. Who ever responds to emails and reviews enjoys bullying the public.

Expérience fantastique: Anytime Fitness Downtown Victoria changed my life. On one typical boring day during the pandemic in Victoria, I decided to join this gym because I lived in the building above. After joining, I was already thinking about when I would cancel my membership, as I’d never been successful in regularly attending a gym before. Well, that all changed when I began personal training with Josh. My mind was continuously blown with all the things he taught me about weight training, all the different compound and accessory exercises, and the concept of progressive overload. I started seeing myself getting stronger and quickly became hooked. I continued personal training for 2 years and made incredible progress with Josh’s friendly guidance. And now I'm officially a gym bro! AF Downtown Victoria served as a beacon of light for me in a sad and gloomy city. I’ve now left Victoria, but this gym will always have a special place in my heart.

The gym is open 24/7, which makes it incredibly convenient with a very accessible downtown location. Peak hours (4:30 pm to 7:00 pm) are busy, yet not impossible to train. Early mornings are less crowded and more comfortable. The gym administration cares about keeping the facilities in good shape, regularly bringing in new equipment, and enhancing the older ones. Friendly staff, fair prices, and full days to get your workouts done. Keep up the excellent work!

Expérience négative: I am a member of this gym since last year, I was about to get enter and a guy was going out so I kept my key and fob back again In my purse, a lady staff named MARINA, came to me and straight away CONVINCED herself that I was some sort of culprit, very rudely she’s like tell me your full name, I said it, she didn’t wanted to listen so as a PROOF, I showed my keys and still she went too far and asked me to show that my fob is working, I literally went outside and then entered again. This is kind of humiliation is completely not acceptable. there’s fine line between making sure and already treating someone like they are culprit. So she made a fool of herself out of this, and after this, I don’t think I would like to go to such place. Edit: This is my reply to the owner’s reply on my review, so you’re suggesting that her asking and behaving in such humiliating manner was diligence and for the security purpose while completely missing the focal point, I know very well how important security and Safety is, I would rather prefer that way. what’s unacceptable is THE WAY she conducted the things, not letting other person explain or clarify or even care to listen. Also the TONE. It was outright disrespectful, humiliating and not at all professional behaviour of Marina.If you want to neglect that fact, fine by me, I have already canceled my membership because I would like to pay to the businesses who value their customers

Being new to a gym environment can always be intimidating but with the staff being as friendly and helpful as they are really squashes those concerns. I also had the chance to try out their personal training program. Huge shoutout to Josh D who was my trainer. The experience was exactly what I wanted going into the program and then some! Patient, friendly, and motivating are just some of the words to describe my time working with him. Really helped direct me on the path to success despite difficult factors. TLDR; Friendly staff, clean / well maintained building, and respectful members of the community who attend. An easy choice for my gym living near downtown.

Best trainer experience as well, so understanding and actually did research on me pain disorder on how to best help me. I lost an extraordinary amount of weight and went from quite unable to do anything to working out ️‍♀️ six days a week. I am grateful to have found a place like this to workout in.

Expérience fantastique: New member at this gym and it is a super welcoming environment. I had a complimentary assessment with Destiny and will be seeing her for a few more strength training sessions as she is super supportive and knowledgeable.

Expérience négative: One of the worst gyms in the city, a total scammer and worst customer service. Membership ended about 6 months ago and no one bothered to inform that it will be going on a month to month contract and payments were being taken every month, and even while signing initially no one cared to point it out and was made to sign in a haste. Worst customer service , no apology or not even care to send reply to your emails , please join this gym at your own risk, there’s many better out there. The downtown location is a total scam with the worst possible rude office staffs.

However, the gym is overpriced for not including fitness classes or other amenities (such as tanning, massage chairs, etc) I work at a recreation centre and they offer more amenities and better equipment for a more affordable rate. Furthermore, they haven’t changed the sanitizers for several months which isn’t great during COVID.

Your representative lied to get me to sign the contract and then you guys try to take advantage once I signed.
