Expérience négative: The gym has some disgusting stuff, Me & my wife wanted to go to gym that is close to our new home on south side rather than go to the old gym which is on west side, so we had a tour of the gym at mid October & the staff was very friendly showed us everything, so we decided to join there and the staff suggested us that one of us can have black card & the other one can have just the regular gym card, the staff was saying if one of us have black so if one not using the other person can use all the facilities, its written even in their website. So We signed for one black card(wife’s name)& 1(mysel)regular, we have been going to the gym past 3 weeks & we never had problem. But today(18th November around 9:10pm) we went to the gym I was bit tired so wanted to use the massage chair using our black card. So the staff see the name, my wife(we are interracial couple)has an English name & the staff started looking at my face & started interrogating me where did I get the card, when I told him that is my wife’s card, than he said oh really than started asking me why I m using her card, I told him, i used before & your morning staff told me I can use it. than he said you should get your own black card , although I pay for both of our membership card, than the guy was keep staring at me & in the meantime my wife arrived at the desk than he said ok u can use the chair. I felt disgusted and didn’t want to use it anymore, after spending half of my life in this beautiful country, that’s the 1st time I had to face something like this just because of my skin colour. I don’t know how fit for less can keep a rude racist person like this.

Expérience négative: Great gym experience overall but they double charged me the startup 60$ fee making me pay 120$ which sucks so much, I’ve tried multiple times to get refunded that double charge but they still haven’t resolved the issue for me.
Expérience fantastique: With the winter wind picking up, it was nice to do my 1h walk on the treadmill for the first time. You have to bring "inside shoes" though, so don't forget. I will try other machines next time.

Expérience négative: I was looking to cancel my membership because I was moving. I was told bad information by a staff member that the membership would cancel when the year was up and I could renew if I wanted. I kept getting charged for the membership and the $50 yearly renewal fee. When I spoke to the manager Sarah over the phone, she claimed that I was lying about the whole ordeal and asked who I spoke with. I said I spoke with someone with curly hair and she insisted that "there was no one with curly hair that works here and my staff are extremely knowledgeable on the policies". Extremely unprofessional and condescending and was very disappointed on how the situation was handled. Thank you for squeezing those extra few dollars out of me - maybe then the place can finally afford a water fountain with the extra money they took from me.

Expérience fantastique: Fit4less has finally done some renovations, and the "Black Card" Member area is being built. They have a water fountain now which is really great. Fit4Less is a very good starter gym where there's not any ego lifters and it's a very comfortable setting for gym users of all levels. If you haven't yet started going to gym, i highly recommend going to Fit4less.

Expérience négative: I had the worst experience of my life in this gym.A few days ago i went there for my usual workout in morning time i live in west side and i used transit to travel and realized that i forgot my card and there was no staff so i asked the guy if he could just let me in once so i can see staff and when i entered the manager came to me with a weird attitude and was like he you can't just get in .I told her that i have my membership i just forgot my card you can check it with my id.She was so rude and said i am not my shift right now so i can't help you with that."Please get out of here" i was like what? Get out whyy i am paying to workout in your gym if i forgot my card once in lifetime you can just let me workout and if you're not on your shift then why are you coming to me and asking me to get out.She was just not ready to help me out .I wasted my time and also that disrespectful behaviour of manager ruined my day as well.I would suggest you guys to not forget your card because they will not just do their job and check in system rather they will kick you out for no reason.

Expérience négative: It’s a big enough gym and not too busy to fight over equipment - unlike the YMCA. I like the black card feature of sharing with friends and fam (not at the same time). Staff are friendly. There is always the lack of water fountain. But th reason this isn’t 3 stars is my main complaint: how many more pieces of equipment need to be out of service for the foreseeable future?? There have been machines broken for more than 6 months. The completely supported squat racks are also not my favourite but those are the least of the equipment concerns at the moment. What are members paying for if not for functional equipment and machines??

But both we have own card she is very rude like resist. On that time around us lots of people doing work out thats not good she said in between all the people. And after i said can i see the video that we enter together she said I don’t have a time to see and she said i am not conform so you guys enter in the gym in one card one of my employees said this thing. But think is that you can’t blame any person un till you are not sure 100% Ok . I feel very bad on that time i am using this gym from last 4 years. He was not allowed to use the gym just because he was not wearing the shoes that trainer wanted him to. I don’t understand how this thing works? Did they tell him about this before getting him to the subscription? And what they told him in return is it’s good for him to cancel the subscription. Well, if that’s what they want me and none of my friends will be visiting this gym if they don’t want us to enter the place. Extremely disappointed and disgusted thing to hear. That guy is having breakdowns now and who is responsible for it? Fit4less ? Or what? Stop being racist please and make an inclusive environment there.

Expérience négative: I was here earlier this morning, extremely racist employees. They didn’t let me enter the gym just because I wasn’t wearing the pair of shoes that they wanted me to. Does it make any sense in real life? I travelled all the way from west to this place in bus for 50 minutes to enjoy gym and what I am listening in back is that I am not allowed to enter the premises because of my shoes. When I paid subscription for this place did they inform me about this place? Both the guys were super intimidating and made my experience very bad. The situation could have been escalated in a positive and professional way. When I went to receptionist to cancel my subscription and complain about the scenario, what I heard is. ‘ good for you to cancel the subscription ‘. What the heck? Don’t you need people to run the business?

Expérience positive: Super affordable place to work out. Lots of equipment to choose from. Bring lots of water because this gym does not have any water stations and the bathroom sinks are too shallow to refill most water bottles. I'll change my rating to 5 stars when they get water. Expérience négative: The gym is okay. There needs to be a serious look at how repairs are handled though. Some of this equipment has been broken for as long as I've been coming (a few months). Which makes no sense because I've seen the same equipment repaired faster at other locations. Based on some reviews, there's equipment that has been broken for 6+months. To further complicate things, it seems like the only way to raise this concern is via the phone or in-person. There are no social media accounts that I can find, or even an email address. Not sure what my black card membership is really getting me with broken equipment and so few black card amenities.
Expérience négative: This gym is a scam, First off, the cancellation fees are 2x the biweekly fees, on top of a $60 membership initiation fee, which is not advertised on the website. The gym has no water fountains, and you have to fill your water bottle in the bathroom sink. The equipment is run down, the gym smells, and it wasn't a very pleasant environment to be in. The cancellation process was easy, however, getting my fees waived for one use hasn't been. The staff do not care, and they just want your money. if you want to check it out, do so on a free-workout day, since this company and facility will charge you up to $100 for a month, when you never plan on using the gym again. Super disappointed.

Staff is also unwilling to help. They have now received 2 membership cancelations and I would advise everyone to avoid.

Expérience fantastique: After years of working out from home I decided to join fit4less to add more variety to my routines. I couldn't be happier with my decision. Sarah the gym manager made me feel welcome and eased my nerves about being a first time gym goer. All of the staff is friendly and attentive. The gym is always well maintained and clean. There is plenty of space and equipment and I rarely need to wait for a machine. I look forward to coming there everyday day and being greeted by Sarah's big warm smile!

Expérience fantastique: Great gym, great price. Staff and management are warm and welcoming. Those complaining about equipment needing repair have not been around a very busy gym, machines wear out from use get used to it and parts are specialized. Water is water get it from the sink or bring your own special water. For the price you get a lot. Check out the prices at other gyms, you pay a lot more for less and 24 hour access.

This flagrant disregard for confidentiality, coupled with the gym's abysmal failure to rectify the situation, left me feeling not just uncomfortable and disappointed, but utterly unsafe. I greatly discourage anyone seeking a nurturing and professional gym environment from considering Fit4Less. Sarah's outbursts and mistreatment of both members and staff create a cesspool of toxicity within the gym. Witnessing her relentless verbal assaults on not just members but particularly on staff, was deeply distressing and indicative of the abysmal work culture fostered under her management. It's no wonder the turnover rate is sky-high, with valuable employees fleeing. Such ill-mannered behavior not only instills fear and discomfort but also underscores a shocking lack of basic decency, cultural literacy, professionalism, and respect for the hardworking staff. I recommend individuals to steer clear of Fit4Less until these systemic issues are thoroughly addressed and a semblance of a healthy work environment is restored. The price tag simply cannot justify subjecting oneself to such trauma and turmoil. Machines lay broken and neglected for months on end, further highlighting the gross negligence pervasive throughout the establishment. Engaging with someone as toxic as Sarah is nothing short of traumatizing. To those brave individuals especially young adults (18+) considering joining, I offer my sincerest sympathies and urge extreme caution.

Expérience négative: It’s unfortunate people have been talking about water fountain for years and y’all still haven’t done anything to get one there. That’s really bad and the bare minimum for a gym. One needs lots of water to get through the work out session and filling from those dirty smelling bathrooms is really bad. The bare minimum you can get us is a water fountain. Come on. Also half the equipment are in bad shape and they are never fixed once it’s broken. You all can do better is believe. It cost nothing to get a broken machine fixed. It’s a gym for a reason and you never fail to charge us when due so why can’t you just geg these machines fixed. It’s the bare minimum and give us water. Are we asking for too much ?

Overall I’d never go back to this gym it’s not even worth the cheap membership. I must add that the older lady at the front desk will harass you in the middle of your set if you happen to set the weights down a little to hard.

Expérience positive: Bathrooms are dirty and gross most of the time. Even early in the morning. No water stations so you gotta refill your bottle in the dirty sinks. Equipment broken for months at a time. EDIT: some big changes have been made. Bathrooms are much cleaner lately and water stations have been added, among other improvements. You should learn from Kingsway Edmonton Mall location, the gym there is amazing, even when is smaller, the machines always are working very good and does not take more than one day for the maintenance.

Expérience fantastique: Always pleasant and friendly staff! They're constantly cleaning and refilling cleaning stations and washrooms. Love the spaciousness of this gym, and quality equipment. Very large, well lit parking lot with security monitoring. My favorite part of the gym is enjoying the hydro massage beds and massage chairs before or after my workout, and free tanning if I want it.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been a member on and off(off due to moving to another city for a year) The Manager and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and will always help if needed. The gym is always clean and the members are friendly. It’s a place to work out and not feel intimidated. The gym also has massage beds and chairs which are available to Black Card members. They also have stand-up tanning. Best of all, the membership fees are very affordable. Mary Merriott

Expérience positive: Good gym, especially for how cheap it is and it always seems to be clean. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it seems to take a long time for broken equipment to get fixed and they only have 75lbs dumbbells, hard to get gains with only 75lbs dumbbells

Expérience négative: I want to say 1st the staff have been nice here, however I've only come 2 times while staff is here. It doesn't really seem like they pay much attention to the tanning booth. I went to use it stood there for almost 10 minutes waiting for the thing to turn on. I went to find staff they were no where to be seen. I actually had to call the front just to have someone come help me as the tanning booth did not turn on. It took them almost 5 minutes just to come to answer the phone.. I paid 380 for a black card just to have the majority of the machines down(15 to be exact). the tanning bed has 4 light bulbs out, there are several Rubbermaid bins all over the black card side because they haven't repaired the roof ( according to the other reviews they are aware the roof needs repair and have yet to do anything about it.) There is no place to refill your water bottle that is disappointing as their competitors definitely have water stations. $380 for the whole year is about half of goodlife gym, I guess half the price half the service... I feel like we could do better fit4less.

Expérience négative: The gym looks pretty good, clean, spacious and good variety of equipment. Steer clear of Sarah, the manager, though. Sarah has no business being in any customer service or customer facing role whatsoever. The person I was doing the tour of the facility with made a comment about changes in payment policy and Sarah threw us both out. I did like the gym though. Tried to apologize for my friend. Sarah wasn't having it. Did I miss something? Can't we all just get along?

Expérience fantastique: Honestly, it's a pretty good place. When you consider price versus what they're offering, You definitely get your money's worth depending on how often you go to the gym. It would be expensive for somebody who doesn't go to the gym very often but keeps a gym membership however, people who use the gym and the other facilities constantly definitely benefit from what they offer. Big place with lots of equipment and open space, so large, bright and clean

Expérience fantastique: I just signed up today. First time ever in a gym. This business is very clean. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I was nervous but after talking with the staff, she made me feel good about joining. This is an affordable choice, very large gym, and alot of equipment.

Expérience négative: Me and my buddy went there for a late night session. We bought the $15 “day” pass. I went to scan mine unknowing that you have to sprint through the doors before it locks again. I then went to go scan again and it said denied. Which then we soon found out later u can only scan it once!? The system is flawed to hell. Fix it!

Expérience positive: Was told in January that there would be a black card area with power racks and functional trainers, come back to town and all the advertisements for it are gone. Along with many of the machines being broken. The equipment that is there is nice, but it kind of feels like the gym has been given up on? Nice, big gym that isn’t very busy though.
Expérience négative: On the face of it, this is a good gym with a lot of different equipment and lots of space. However, the equipment is often unusable due to maintenance required (which takes weeks, sometimes months). There are no water fountains - the only option is to fill your waterbottle from the bathroom tap. There used to clocks in the free weight area so you can time your rest between sets, but apparently changing the batteries & keeping up with daylight savings is too much, so they have removed them all together. The sanitation stations are often empty as well.
Expérience négative: They should change their banners which shows 24/7 I don’t have time in the days for exercise because of my work schedule and i was waiting may be they will go back to 24/7 but NO. Moving in to a higher quality gym with 24/7 access.
Expérience négative: 16.00 dollars for a walk in when a membership is like 20 a month. Not worth it
Expérience positive: Good equipment, no showers, no water fountains. Some of the staff are usually pretty grumpy.

Expérience négative: They should change their banners which shows 24/7 we pay for flexibility of timings but they started closing in the night when most of us got free from work and have time to do some exercise. If the reason is covid is it a ghost of Covid which can only enter after 10 if they keep open in the nights? Its just an excuse for getting more profits from innocent people.

Expérience négative: Most of the staff with the exception of Evan are garbage. They have zero common sense and ability to be accommodating. They are rude especially the head manager. She is brutal. I've gone here since 2017 and after today will never return. Not allowed in because of a key fob left home? I would be embarrassed to be that bad at my job.
Expérience fantastique: Big Gym and clean. Area is a little dodgy but not enough to worry. They have implemented the vaccine proof at the door with ID check. So be prepared

Expérience positive: A high volume gym at an extremely competitive price. The only downside is that repairing any of the equipment takes forever.
Expérience négative: The price of membership is the only thing going for this gym. It was bad enough before covid, but now they are making everyone wear masks during workout, just not at your machine. So you can huff and puff on all the equipment, but not walking from machine to machine. Their benches are not 6 feet apart and the free weight area is super congested - they refuse to move them so they have adequate spacing, but they ensure that you have a mask when you are in the big open areas. Also, they only have a handful of lockers open, much less than the number of members they allow in (so they don’t have to clean as many). So you cannot lock your items - and don’t think of leaving them in your car as it is the highest area of break-ins in the city. Some staff are good, others are hell bent to catch you not wearing a mask - make sure to do lunges on your way to the machine you are going to next.
Expérience positive: It's well kept, has a wide variety of options, and ultimately feels like it has a great customer base. It doesn't feel threatening or invasive and makes for a great gym.

Expérience négative: It's worth the 7 dollars every two weeks. But a gym worth 7 dollars aint very great, especially since covid. I know they can't 100% control the new regulations, but this gym went from 24/7 (which was the value for me) to me getting kicked out after 1 hour. Moving in to a higher quality gym with 24/7 access.

Expérience positive: Now the gym is re open, but i feel 1 hour is to short, hope you can consider to give us 1 hour and half to workout. Some staff members are very unfriendly, no everyone.

Expérience positive: I love this gym! However the manager is a complete jerk and lacks customer service skills. His name is Matt and I hate it when he’s working. I avoid him, as he’s just unfriendly and rude. Many others have mentioned the same thing when I asked opinions of people who frequent the gym. I personally wish they would get a new manager. It would have zero downfalls if they did.
