Which left me In frustration, I reached out to the owner, who handled the situation with remarkable patience and courtesy. After I explained my financial difficulties, he personally called me to discuss a solution. Despite their busy schedules, the team was respectful and understanding. The owner kindly offered to place a one-year freeze on my membership without additional payments until I find someone to take over my contract, and he even waived the transfer fee, which I truly appreciate. Given this positive experience, I would recommend this gym for its commitment to professionalism.

Expérience négative: Dear Anytime Fitness Team, I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the handling of my membership cancellation at your 12192 Symons Valley Rd NW location in Calgary. After being a loyal member for over four years, I visited the club in person to cancel my membership and waited for 50 minutes before being attended to. During that time, I was informed that a one-month notice was required, and the key tag was taken from me. Despite surrendering the key tag, I am still being charged biweekly, which feels like a deceptive practice. To make matters worse, I was also charged an additional $45, which I assume is related to a scheduled payment. I feel as though I have been cheated and taken advantage of, as I no longer have access to the gym but continue to be charged. I am requesting the immediate cancellation of my membership, a refund of the unauthorized charges, and an end to this unfair billing practice. Please do not take advantage of your members' trust and hard-earned money in this way. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Quite obviousl by the cleanliness, the service, and the overall vibe in the gym. Minimal wait times for a machine or the bench, and of course, the fellow friendly goers always is a plus.

He kindly agreed to refund the payments that had been withdrawn from my account over the past three months and processed the refund promptly. Thank you, Hanif, for your assistance. I look forward to returning to Anytime Fitness once I've recovered from my injury."

Expérience négative: The owner paid me to delete my review so I took his money and I put my review back :) The owner Hanif has scammed many people and I first put a review about how they overcharged me multiple times after my membership had ended. Heres my experience that I recorded on phone call: Hanif called me after my first bad review, which I put up due to being overcharged many times, and said that I would get my refund within two weeks only if I deleted my bad review. I deleted my bad review for 2 weeks and put it back up right after as I did not get my refund. The same day, Hanif called me complaining about how I betrayed him for putting the review back up, even though he did not meet his end of the bargain (my refund). He then offered to e-transfer the money which I accepted. Months later, I find that my friend has been going through the exact same experience with this gym, confirming to me that this is still going on. It has been a year since I got refunded and I found out other people were still getting scammed. This means this has been going on for a very long time. RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY: I will let you determine if Hanif (The Owner) “excelled in customer service” as he proposed he did in this situation. I advise again that everything said here is on audio recording. You first made me wait 2 weeks for a refund that never came. You said this refund was “guaranteed on your life” as corporate takes 2 weeks to process and you’ve issued the refund through them. However, after this 2 weeks you called me after I reposted my bad review as the refund did not come to me. You then proceeded to say that I was not trustworthy and hurt your business by posting my review again. However, the deal was that I will delete my review as long as I get my refund so I reposted the bad review after 2 weeks had passed with no refund. I explained this to Hanif and he explained that something wrong must’ve happened at corporate and that they never get these wrong. Seems unlikely to me but that’s just my opinion. However, there are many reviews of people going through a similar situation with this gym. In fact, these complaints go years back so I don’t see that to be unfair. Hanif said that I can get my money directly from him through e-transfer as long as I delete my bad review. I argued against this saying I had the right to put one up but he said he would not give me my refund unless I deleted the review. I decided to use the same logic Hanif used on me. I received my end of the bargain but did not go through with mine. Simply put, I got my money back and still put up this bad review. So that was my situation, feel free to assess if this is great customer service.

Each time, I was assured that the matter would be promptly addressed by the owner. However, to my dismay, no action was taken, and my membership remained active against my wishes. In addition to my in-person visits, I have tirelessly engaged in countless phone conversations with numerous individuals associated with Anytime Fitness, all in an attempt to resolve this matter. Regrettably, my efforts have been met with nothing but empty promises and blatant disregard for my request to cancel my membership and receive a refund. The lack of accountability and transparency displayed by Anytime Fitness is deeply concerning. It is evident that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction, resorting to deceitful tactics to retain members and withhold refunds. Such behavior is unacceptable and speaks volumes about the integrity of this establishment. At this point, I have been left with no choice but to pursue legal action against Anytime Fitness to seek recourse for the financial losses incurred due to their negligence and deceptive practices. I strongly advise anyone considering a membership at this gym to proceed with caution and explore alternative options. Anytime Fitness has proven themselves to be nothing short of a fraudulent enterprise, and I urge consumers to steer clear of their services. Expérience fantastique: Went to this gym for a year before I moved. Always a very clean place. Whenever someone was in the office your always asked how your day is going! Lots of good equipment for all you gym buffs out there. Environment is very clean and lots of room. Sanitation stations are easily accessible for when you are finished with your workout on that piece of equipment. And it’s a bonus that they are 24/7. Would recommend to anyone else looking for a gym to go to.

They wouldn’t waive the fees and wanted to cancel and they said the manager of the facility would reach out to discuss it. He/she never reached out and then I hear my membership went to collections. Gym has horrible customer service, horrible equipment, horrible management. All they care about is their end quota and their money which is ironic considering what they actually have at the gym. From my experience this gym has been the worst.

Expérience négative: Zero accountability with billing mistakes, horrible customer service & appalling conflict resolution. Good luck cancelling your account when they inevitably screw you over. Anytime Fitness do not abide by their own contractual agreements, they feel welcomed to withdraw unauthorized amounts from your account at random with no reparations offered. If you try to cancel your account as a result of this deplorable business practice, corporate (after hanging up on you multiple times) say they can't do this for you and direct you to phone your location. Fast forward to phoning the location, the "manager" is rude and unhelpful, citing that the contract must be upheld, despite the outlined contractual breaches rendering the contract null and void. If you request to speak to the owner, who is evidently very present in responding to bad google reviews, to resolve this, the manager will laugh and say that is impossible because "he's the owner & he's busy". Well quite frankly I don't care if he's busy, I care that his business has stolen money from me and are giving me the runaround in trying to sever ties. If you’re reading this do not sign a contract with this gym. Even if their customer service wasn’t absolutely horrid, the gym facility itself is pathetic to say the least.

He went, since they missed our original appointment in the morning together. Be warned, this location only offers a direct option to join with a 2 year commitment. They do not allow you to try it out, even though their website offers 7 day pass click bait to waste time. This gym is very small, to get new members, they need to have integrity to trial periods.

Expérience fantastique: I don't lift much so I can't say a lot about the equipment. But as a Muay Thai fighter, I regularly use the punching bag. It's fairly durable and has a light weight to it. It handles kicks, elbow strikes, knees, and punches pretty well, but I wouldn't recommend going all-out on it. The gym is clean and the staff is very friendly. Overall, I do recommend this gym.

Although it can get crowded between 4:45-7:45 weeknights, people here are generally friendly and allow you to switch in between sets. No towel service option and only one shower (with nowhere to really put your workout bag down) are the only letdown, but their bi-weekly pricing of $27 bi-weekly reflects that as it is much cheaper than GoodLife ($40 bi-weekly)

Expérience positive: The website says you can do a 7 day trial so I signed up, got confirmation, and then called during the staffed hours to arrange to come down and was told that they don't actually offer the 7 day trial. Very strange. The owner called me after I left my initial review, and I did appreciate the call. I still find it odd that you can go through the whole process without any indication that there is a problem, so just be aware of that if you are hoping to try out the place.

Further, your members take up space on the ones that DO work while idly checking their phones. If you’re serious about your workouts, this isn’t the space for you. The few times I have been here, it’s been a frustrating experience.

Just wish it was a lot bigger and wish instead of having to carry a spray bottle with a roll of paper towel they just had disinfectant wipe dispensers around the gym just because it's easier to carry and is more convenient but also because for some of the spray bottles don't work. These are just small things though overall it gets the job done and it's a good clean gym.

Expérience positive: Experience so far has been pretty decent. The busy times are of course after work, during 4-6 times. I generally never find myself waiting to use a machine. Club members are respectful and keep the themselves. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Machines appear to be maintained and updated in a timely fashion. However, bathrooms can certainly be cleaner.

From the exceptional service you receive to the cleanliness of the gym - you can tell that a lot of care has been put into running this gym. I missed a lot and decide to start going there again. The facility is always clean and freash whenever I go there. Also there are any concerns or questions, they try to take care of members. Expérience négative: Definitely glad this isn’t my usual gym… Staff doesn’t even say hi when you come through the door (guess I’m used to it at my normal Anytime). Baffles me how they’re one of the “top rated” gyms… To top it off, literally no members wipe down their equipment after using it… disgusting! (Let alone the fact we’re in a pandemic…) This gym is so small that machines are literally inches from each other. Does anyone ever clean the machines here??? I’ll add a picture of the toilets as well. Maybe buy a seat that actually fits Practically fell into the toilet. Definitely will not be returning to this location.

Management is friendly and supportive to anything you would need .location is convenient and hours are flexible . Free WIFI with no restrictions, and it's not super busy like other gyms. Management does a great job keeping the facility safe. And lots of parking. Great place! I strongly recommend others to join.

Wrote multiple emails and left voicemails, when finally they were returned generally a week or two later, said I had to go into the building to cancel but that they were closed due to covid. Finally I was able to get in there and they canceled it, but not before telling me they still need a month's notice and charged me for the next month, along with a gym enhancement fee... When I asked what the fee was for, they said it was an annual gym fee charged once a year, yet they had already charged me for one of those in April too. I'm pretty sure they have thrown that fee in multiple times throughout the year hoping people will not notice it. Would never go back to this location

Expérience fantastique: My cousin and I recently signed up for the gym, myself renewing and my cousin starting his for the first time. Gym is very nice, clean, and well taken care of. The owner Hanif is very involved in the gym and makes sure everyone gets the best experience, as well as is very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Expérience fantastique: It’s been over a year and 5 months since I became a member at this location and I’ve got to say I absolutely love the place!!. The staff is great, the gym is awesome and the owner, Hanif is very kind and accommodating. Hanif makes sure he takes care of his members by installing new equipments, renovating washrooms, and taking reviews seriously. I’ve been to multiple anytime clubs and I’ve got to say, this is by far the best. Yes it’s small but you’ll always find the machines you’re looking for to workout. I absolutely love the appointments since it limits the amount of people in the gym making it easier to workout.

Expérience positive: It's a small 24h gym that doesn't ever get too busy. My main gripes are that there is only 1 squat rack, 1 power rack, and 1 "max rack" which is a type of improved smith machine. Way too many cardio machines for the amount of people using them. There's room for another power rack so I'm really hoping they add that. Also, there's only about 4 weight benches in the whole gym, with 1 being non-adjustable. That being said, the price is relatively affordable at $50~60 a month on a contract and about $70 month-to-month. Private washrooms in the back and a water fountain. They're not doing 7-day trials and masks are required while training due to covid.

Expérience positive: Good place to go, small gym with all required sanitary measures. Equipment is of good quality and allow all sorts of work out. Place to go as you don't feel like being a number but part of a group
