Expérience négative: I’ve been a loyal member of Fit4Less for four years, but my recent experience left me deeply disappointed. I arrived at the gym ready for my workout, only to be met with the cold dismissal of the staff at the desk. I was informed that my membership card had expired just a day prior. Although I didn’t have my wallet on me, I kindly requested that they let me work out this one time, promising to renew my membership the following day. To my surprise, the response was a flat "No, I can’t let you workout." There was no effort to understand my situation or provide any level of customer service. I left the gym feeling frustrated and unappreciated after years of loyalty. This encounter ultimately led me to switch to Planet Fitness for same price, which offers a much better experience with cleaner facilities, more amenities, and a staff that values their members. Plus, having access 24/7 and the ability to bring a guest for free are just the cherry on top. I genuinely appreciate the staff member at Fit4Less who unintentionally pushed me toward a better gym. It’s a shame that my loyalty didn’t mean much to them. I won’t be coming back.

Expérience négative: Good gym but every time I come in, I am told to scan my card. I don't mind scanning the card but the problem is that it takes 10seconds between each card. So if you are a group of 3 it will take you 30seconds to just enter the door. We offered to scan at the desk(which we can scan consecutively without delay) but she did not allow this and gave no reason. I'm assuming this is a conflict with the corporation as they need to reduce the amount of seconds of access once the card is scanned to achieve a faster flow of patrons. This failure of the corp is creating an inconviece on an otherwise good and well run gym. Thx for ur reply, I don't have social media, can you give me an email?

Expérience positive: The gym is really good, with a wide range of equipment, and the staff is very friendly. The only issue is that the machines are not bolted to the ground, which makes it dangerous. Additionally, there are no mats near the free weights area, so you need to be very careful when placing dumbbells on the ground; otherwise, the wooden surface could break and create a loud noise. I would give 5 stars if the machines were properly secured and mats were placed in key areas.

Expérience fantastique: If you go to the gym with a purpose and know what to do and need to do it on a budget. This is the one for you.. and as an added bonus. The grocery store is right below to pick up some fruits on the way out.

Expérience fantastique: I've been a member for over a few weeks now but have been going to this location almost daily. So far I'm really enjoying this gym. Everyone is respectful and it's clean. Big shout out to Mackenzie, one of the young women staff from the morning shift who always does an outstanding job cleaning and staying busy and always very friendly and helpful.

Expérience positive: Okay so I'm normally up at 3am ready to jam and work out at 5am looked in the website and it says you guys open at 8am no 24 hours in ajax? That gap is just so much Time missed out from working out. So I will give the biggest coffee to the individual sitting in that fit4less office that decides to put a 24 hour location in ajax so people have choices instead of waiting be late for work or miss their workout all together..

Expérience négative: Would give 0 stars. I only continued my membership here because of the price, but it’s not even worth it anymore. Im glad I’m not the only one who has experienced it, but, as stated in other comments, the manager is very rude. While explaining my issue, she yelled and attempted to speak over me, and showed no real concern for resolving any issues. Aside from the unprofessionalism, I don’t understand why my access to a facility I pay for would be restricted simply because I’m not able to unlock the door myself; especially when staff is present at all operating hours. I was told I couldn’t work out that day despite the fact that my account was in good standing, and I was already physically inside the gym.

Expérience négative: Very dark and dingy. The carpets are very old. Atmosphere is not good at all. People need a clean, bright place to workout.

Expérience positive: was told by the front desk guy that if i forgot my card again he'd charge $25 for a new one. acted like he was doing me a hugee favour.

Expérience négative: Like a lot of gyms it's a pain if you ever choose to leave, but a great price otherwise. I paid extra money (monthly) when I joined for the quit at any time option as opposed to yearly. I moved and was unable to continue going for about a year during which they increased the price without contacting me except by an email message that wouldn't let me opt out. I then went in person to quit and was told it would be a month before they could remove me. Well I just had a charge go through for 58$ after the month of regular payments. I guess they don't mention you have to pay a few months for canceling even though it's cancel at any time Pay as you go. I don't know if they got rid of the option I initially signed up for and I didn't initially read all the fine print, but what happened is 100% against all the advertising I read while signing up at their terminal.

Expérience négative: If I could give 0 stars I would. I had canceled my membership 4 months ago and they were still charging my account so I called 3 weeks ago and the manger (Lisa) said she had no recollection of my Cancellation and would get back to me . Fast forward to today I still had not heard back from her and seen there were 4 more unauthorized payments. I called to get it sorted out and the manager (Lisa) was so rude and disrespectful basically almost yelling at me and talking over me telling me I’m being rude when I was just trying to explain the situation. She then refused to give me any information to contact her boss and make a complaint about her and said her manager would contact me, (which we’ll see because I was still waiting on Lisa to get back to me) I had to call another fit4less where they gave me the email for her boss. This is very unprofessional and upsetting especially for a franchised business you’d think they would hire more professional and nice staff.

Expérience négative: Never get a gym membership here. I called to cancel in April 2023 and realized i’ve still been getting charged 13.55 biweekly and called to cancel and explain the situation. They cancelled my membership and never got back to me after they told me they’d contact head office. As well as the manager i called back to get updated was giving me attitude after i expressed i was on a sick leave and cannot afford to lose the 127 i have paid and not used the facilities and she gave me attitude telling me that i am lying and hee employee that spoke with me is the only male there and has worked for the location for 2 years and would never make a mistake like this. i ended up telling her employees make mistakes and it is unfair to me that i got told my membership was cancelled and it was not and that she’s being very rude to me and treating me unfairly and she’s continued to give me attitude, swear over the phone and hung up on me. and told i still have 2 more payments that are going to be coming out of my account when i called back in april 2023 to cancel. I am very unhappy and upset that this is how i’ve been treated when THEY have made a mistake on their end and i’ve put out $127 when i do not have the money and they will not do anything to help me out with this issue but give me attitude and be rude.

Expérience positive: The gym is a bit small, but great for beginners. It's on the second floor of the grocery store and the exit is a bit strange, other than that it's an enjoyable place to work out.

Expérience négative: Please don’t go this place. First fall they don’t have common number to call to get any info or cancellations the membership. When I registered at Lawrence square mall they promised me to give bag but they haven’t provided anything to me even I spend whole year more than $30 monthly. When I called them to cancel and they told me to go to location for that. This is weird now in technology world. They have very bad rules for membership and you are biding with them whole year so please check properly before you take membership from them. I gave 1 star because no choice for me to give leas than this I don’t recommend this place at all for anyone.

Expérience positive: Value for money. It's small but has all the equipment I need. My only issue is space in the weights room but it's not too bad for the cost for membership.

Expérience positive: Very cost effective gym. Clean, tidy, well equipped. Number 1 issue: not open at night due to entrance through the store downstairs closing 10pm, and by 7pm weekends! Also can get crowded at peak hours.

Expérience négative: It needs a lot of rework... Gyms too small with kind of people coming in... Not much of options to works... Machines are obsolete.... I was from Oshawa fit4less ... Now compared to Oshawa this gym is way behind... Feel disappointed ☹️ that they are not up to standards

Expérience négative: Quite dumb that since Feb 2023 you need to walk through the whole grocery store to get out of the gym. Unuseful, just a waste of time, maybe the geniuses that work at Superstore didn't think this through. Hoping to see someone smarten up and fix this.

Expérience positive: I went two times when I stayed Ajax (albeit back to back) and it seemed fairly clean and well maintained. Staff is available to assist you should you need help. This location is quite busy, so I highly recommend that you go very early in the morning. I tried to go late at night and it was packed!

Expérience positive: No COVID19 restrictions because it's a smaller gym. Very clean. More of a private change room. This gym is inside of a Great Canadian Super Store so it's easy to grab a post workout snack. Unfortunately the stairs to the gym 8s right beside the prepared food.

I’ve been a member here for years and I have 0 complaints about the way the staff runs this gym. I have no idea who would complain about this spot considering the exceptional customer service I have received throughout the years. A special shout out to Daryn and Julia. Both awesome front desk staff at this location. Always polite. Always happy. Always on point. Anyone who has issues with them should re-evaluate the way they present themselves to others as these ladies are exactly what this gym needs. Keep it up.

Some of the Fit4less locations have so many equipments but this location does not have enough equipment so very small in size it gets really busy and the big times and you have to wait for a long time to get to your turn.

Expérience fantastique: The sheer difficulty of getting to a gym you pay for is difficult. Let me explain. 1. They are at 50% capacity, so less spots you can book. 2. Half of the benches and some other equipment are taped off due to covid. So even less facilities to use. Which is the entire point. I understand you have your hands tied fit4less, but I cannot recommend the gym until the restrictions are gone. Update: 2022 no longer requires you to book beforehand but they are at 50% capacity and there can be long wait times because everyone finishes work around the same time.... Update 2 (Mar 2022): no more scanning your covid code and not at 50% capacity anymore! Mask policy still in effect. Very busy at times you would want to go, but that's life I guess. Update 3 (Apr 2022): No more masks! More busy, but I'm just happy it's back to normal

Expérience fantastique: First time at this new location since I moved and Daryn was incredibly helpful in getting me setup and offering any help I required. It's not the biggest gym but it has a decent setup and is clean. I am very satisfied with this location.
